I was misinformed by their Quality Assurance rep Chris. He increased my "estimate" for my 1 bedroom apartment from $2.3k to $4.3k and told me the truck would be weighed and the actual cost would be charged. Instead they charge for the space you reserve which is fine if they are upfront about it. This was explained to me during a customer service call by rep Tatiana who was very nice and I was told they would review the audio from the call and before her Supervisor could hang up her Supervisor told her (who he was training) that I was "a f****** a******". Great job all around guys. My advice is use another company every level except the pickup and phone rep was trash. Reach out to local moving companies and don't use companies that literally don't care about their customer base.

Moved from IL to VA and used this company. Ended up choosing Alliance because of their good "reviews" even though they were a little more expensive because we wanted to avoid a bad experience. Right off the back, I ran into payment issues with them saying I didn't pay and I had clear proof that I in fact did. When trying to call customer service, I waited on hold for over a half of an hour before opting to leave a message just to never get a callback. Then I was charged an additional $618 for them to include our couch, floor lamp, and nightstands which I clearly informed them of needing to be included in my initial price. I was told it would take 2-3 days to have our household goods delivered, which was yet another lie. It ended up taking a week to receive our goods with a bonus of two boxes missing (just so happened to be two boxes with expensive items in them). Throughout this experience I have tried emailing multiple times, calling customer service, and calling my sales representative all to never received any responses from anyone. Would give negative stars if possible.

As a professional Real Estate manager I come with a good eye on what moving professionalism and quality work looks like. They not only were cordial and respectful, but also moved and packed at the highest level I've seen. The truck was packed every single inch and they took every opportunity to make sure I felt comfortable with their work. I will absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for professional movers who will get the job done with a high level of quality!

Let me warn you they put up a good friendly talk but they are full with lies. Know this, DO NOT EVER GIVE MONEY TO A COMPANY BEFORE THEY PERFORM A SERVICE. At first everything was great until I gave them my deposit and they ghosted me then in order to get a hold of them I used a difference phone number to reach them and fed lies then they took two extra days from pick up to finally come and then fed me another lie even though I was promise they were wrapping everything for me. We end up kicking them out of our house and out of deposit. We ended up with UPack and hired some help and they did not ask for a dime til after they pick up our stuff and it's easy to track them where they are at with moving as well. DON'T GO WITH A BROKER OR YOU WILL BE BROKE.

This company has taken $8,500 from me and have not provided any service and they refuse to talk to me ( The owner, Mr. Anderson) and the representative whom took the deposit ( Jonathan steel) have blocked my number. I have tried by emails to every department of this company ; customer service , billing department, payment department, have made over t0 calls with different phones( blocked my number). Still no answer. I have given them all possible options to come decent and give my money back. After 2 months, they have totally shut me down. Their own employees has left me a message that the refund check has been mailed to my house. That was over 2 months ago!

All was well until pick up day at which point the company they brokered told me it would be nearly 3 times my quoted price. I couldn't believe what was happening as this was the last thing I expected. We were closing on our new home in 1 week, I was 20 week pregnant with 2 other kids, and my husband was 800 miles and states away. I was very upset as I was very thorough with the estimator including measuring my furniture and even called/emailed several times to update inventory as I had sold some large items. I tried to get my deposit back to just go with another company as this was absolutely ridiculous as had I known the accurate quote I wouldn't have used them at all. I would have just planned on my husband coming back and driving a U-Haul with me. They told me that they couldn't do that but could re- dispatch someone. I was told that now my items would be picked up on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, but someone from the moving company would call me on Saturday to let me know. Someone did call me Saturday and said they would pick up Monday for sure, but would call me Sunday to discuss pick up times. I didn't hear from anyone all day Sunday, or all day Monday. I finally called Alliance around 7pm and someone from the moving company called me 7:45pm ( on the day they said they would pick up) and said they would be at my home before 2pm, but would call in the morning to give me a better estimate on when. Nothing. I was at my home waiting for them, phone in hand at 8am. I stayed at my home until nearly 3. Didn't hear from them nothing. I finally called and emailed as I was so upset at this point as I still had lots of cleaning of our rental to do, drive 14 hours from MN to IL nauseous and pregnant with 2 kids and a uhaul trailer (suggested by Alliance Customer service so they would honor my original quote) to make Closing on Friday (only 2 full days before Friday)and the movers once again didn't show up.

The email I received back from customer service was less than appealing. She told me the moving company had been trying to get ahold of me all morning as they needed to reschedule my pick up for Wednesday. I was so upset as I literally had my phone in my hand for the past 3 days and they didn't call once. That was just a blatant lie to try to cover their butts. Clearly I didn't have more time to waste with this company to see if magically they were going to pick up our belongings on Wednesday as we were running out of time. I was just done and beyond upset with this company at this point.

So my husband had to fly from IL to MN on Wednesday, I had to pick up a U-Haul Truck that morning and my sister and I had to start loading it. Both of us pregnant as it was difficult to get family to come on such short notice as this was supposed to be covered. I was able to hire a couple guys from a local moving company to come help for an hour to get the big things, which I was so grateful for as I've always had high risk pregnancies and just didn't want to over- do it and hurt the baby. My husband did get to MN, we finished getting everything ready and made it to Illinois in time for closing, but absolutely no thanks to alliance moving company as these shenanigans were just not right nor necessary. I just can't believe the extreme hassle this was.

I called after closing on our new home to discuss getting my deposit back and they told me they couldn't. They told me I had to talk to someone in billing as it was above their pay grade, but all those reps were in meetings for the next two days and gave me an email to email them. I did, twice. No response and every time I call Alliance, I sit on the phone for over 30 minutes with no one to pick up my call as I never heard back. I am truly not trying to be difficult, but there's absolutely no reason I shouldn't get my deposit back after all they pulled with me. It wasn't just once instance, it was many and it's just simply not acceptable for a company to treat their customers like this. I just am leaving a review as I don't want other families to have to go through this ridiculous fiasco nor have to add more stress to something that is already stressful enough.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4700

First, they are moving brokers. NOT a moving company. They get you reeled in by low balling your estimate so you think you're getting this amazing deal. Then take your non refundable deposit. Send movers to your home. The real movers then give you an updated estimate, which is MUCH HIGER than originally quoted. Alliance Moving & Storage does not care because that deposit is their revenue on the deal. And are out of the picture. You are on your own. They have multiple complaints similar to this one on the BBB and with the Department of Transportation. BEWARE. DO NOT TRUST THESE CRIMINALS.

These people are crooks! They took a $1500 deposit 2 months before my move from Texas to Georgia. As you can see from their responses they claim to call 48 - 72 hours before the move and give you a 2 day window. We chose the 17th June 21 and 18th June 21. By the 17th of June 21 (after 2 months of expecting a professional company) we had to call the customer care number because we still had no idea what time they would arrive.. it is an 11 hour drive from Georgia to Texas and that takes a little planning. The first call my wife made the customer service rep immediately gave her attitude and said we call 24 hours before your move not 48 to 72hrs as previously claimed. So by the end of the workday on the 17th my wife called again to try to get an idea of when we could expect the movers, again she was met with attitude "You already called this morning.. we told you they'd call today." They still did not call. Now, it's the 18th of June, the final day of the 2 day contracted window and we still have no idea of a moving time. My wife called and was met with more attitude. We had to call just about every phone number we could find.. by 12pm that day we finally got told our move was scheduled between 9am and 3pm. Meaning we would not have to drive through the night after sitting up all day waiting for movers who didn't call, didn't arrive and only had attitude to give.. not information or forewarning. At 2:58pm we finally got a call from the movers and they said they were not coming because the weather is bad. You had 2 months to give us a time of move but instead you only gave attitude with the most simple and expected information that was requested. They did not follow through with anything they said at the initial call and payment. Not a single thing! There is a reason this company has an F with BBB. I highly recommend you do some research before sending them your money. They will not follow through with any of their promises and should you inconvenience them by asking for a time frame you will be subjected to anger and rudeness.
