Long-distance move from Ohio to California

Very bad experience.

When I was contacted by Elise at Interstate movers, I specifically asked her if her company outsourced their moving, she assured me that they used their own drivers and trucks. She gave me a binding estimate, which I knew I would have about 10 extra boxes and 1 more piece of furniture than first expected. I sent her a final (and thoroughly measured) list for a final price. She sent a new estimate that was still reasonable. However, the movers arrived at my house in a U-Haul truck, supposedly because they couldn't fit the "actual" van on my street. After going through the house, they told me they could not pick up or move my stuff unless I paid DOUBLE the estimate. They said I had way more cubic feet that what I had measured. So if I wanted to complete the move I had to get more money from the bank, agree to the new costs, and agree to pay double in order to get my stuff off the truck. Since I had already turned off the utilities, I agreed. When my stuff arrived, they had damaged my washer and one of a kind iron coffee table frame. There were several smashed boxes and large boxes, including mirror boxes, that just never came off the truck. The guy who was in charge of unloading my belongings, spent a lot of time telling me how much the "company" made moving people and didn't check off any items from the list, and had me sign off before he would unload the truck. Since the move, I haven't been able to get a return call or email from either USA movers or Interstate movers in order to make a claim or find out where my boxes went. So, instead of a happy move for about $4,000.00, I got a disappointing move for almost double that.

Move.

They were very professional and cordial. Great customer service. I was very nervous and skeptical but extremely satisfied. From the moment I called them there was no delay in coming out to do the estimate and worked with me. I then managed to plan everything and in 5 days everything was done. I had delicate and fragile items that were handled with care. Thank you! I highly recommend them.

Nightmare Movers.

If this review saves ONE person from the nightmare we had to deal with then this will be worth it. Called and got a quote for $2800 for a 4BR house. Sounded too good to be true but I was hopeful it was just a good deal. They were to show up on a Saturday morning between 10am and noon. I was supposed to get a call from the driver the day before and I never got a call. When I called the main office at 9am to confirm, the girl told me they were on their way. I got a call after 12pm from the driver to tell me his truck had broken down.. 3.5 hours away! We were moving across another state 5.5 hours away and I was starting a new job that Monday morning, but I calmly said I understood. Things happen, and as long as we could just start early morning on Sunday we should be able to get to our destination and in bed at a decent time right? WRONG! There were only 2 guys sent to move a 2200 sq ft 4 BR home. The driver, who assumed the role of "boss", basically put stickers on stuff, wrote on his clipboard, and played on his phone while the one other guy loaded our entire home into the truck. As someone else pointed out, they told me on the phone I could write a check, so I did not have cash on me. Well guess what, it was Sunday and the banks were closed. What the heck did they expect me to do? I had to have family moneygram the cash to a walmart nearby. They had gotten there at just before 8am, and he said we would be done around 2 or 3 pm. Then it was 6. Then 7. Then 9. We didn't close the doors to the truck until 10pm that Sunday night. I owned the home so I ended up leaving stuff because I couldn't wait any longer. I had a 3 year old I was going to have to drive ALL night long with to make it to work that next morning. I was already pissed, but then the kicker. This guys "boss" called and said they had taken too long and now they had to reroute to another job, 4 hours in the OTHER direction from where we were going. I asked to speak to her and she basically had the attitude of "well we have your stuff now so what are you going to do about it". They had "commitments they had to keep". So you screw me over to make sure you take care of the next guy? And tried to blame it on me having more stuff than I "said I did" when it was their broke down truck and slow as molasses lazy driver that took so long (who repeatedly blamed the delay on the guy busting his tail because he "was new". Here's the next best part. On a quote of $2800 they charged me an extra $1500. And that was after leaving a deep freezer, patio set, and several boxes that were all listed in the quote. Once your stuff is in the truck what can you do about it? They didn't show up at my new home until 4 DAYS LATER. We went 4 days in an empty home without ANYTHING but what we stuffed in our cars, with a small child. I went to my first day on a new job with 1.5 hours of sleep because these guys were milking the clock and took 14 hours to load, and didn't even have the decency to get me my belongings by the next day. They are scammers who will cheat, lie, and steal your money. Stay away from these crooks!

Long-distance move from Brandon, FL to Hoffman Estates, IL

Garbage Company.

Made an internet review that should clear it up:

Personally I feel I had an awful experience with very disrespectful drivers and dispatchers. Incredibly unprofessional. Dispatch called from a completely separate number area code stating driver would be there between 12 and 2pm. They showed up at 3. They showed up in a Penske truck and no uniform. They blindsided me with a 50% upfront cash or money order only down payment which was never discussed at time of set up. When questioned driver became irritated and very confrontational. His only effort of customer service was when tried to give me his personal cell to verify the charge was correct with a random person as if that was reassuring. I refused not feeling comfortable and was mocked. I attempted several times to call the original office I had set up with but no answer. They have closed office as it was Sunday. This made me question this mover even more. Why send service out( no uniform in unmarked car) if I could not reach someone Incase emergency?

I moved beyond this hoping I could maybe find a solution through the driver. I asked him to please have the office call my number to feel more comfortable and I was mocked again. At that time I was called by a different unrecognized number. The person was claiming to be dispatch calling to ask me why I had an issue with the driver and more worried about me recognizing the her personal inconvenience than helping fix the issue. I was willing till this point to find a solution and resolve this to continue the move however I now felt extremely uncomfortable as I could not find any evidence to this person being my mover.

Reasons were once again, no uniform, no name tag, Penske truck, cash only demand, office not open for calls, combative personal, and unrecognizable numbers and unwilling to help service.

I’d like to add that when I asked the dispatcher to cancel she told me there was charges and told me that I wasted her one and her drivers Gas like I was to reimburse. She told me the driver would explain the charges to me. Before I hang up the helper or passenger came to tell me the driver needed to speak with me by the truck. I go to talk and he is on the phone complaining about me to his next customer. I try to look past it and wait in the rain politely. I wait as he calls 3 other people via Bluetooth and ignores me. Each call was to tell someone how crazy and ridiculous I was being. Ask anyone, I’m clam in situations like this. I’ve worked in high end jewelry stores and b2b customer service along with 13 collective service positions.

I got fed up and told him when he was ready to come get me, without a word he packed up and left. Dispatch calls me and yells at me to reaffirm their inconvenience and then the driver calls to do the same just bad service all over.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to California

Pleasantly Surprised !!

My Husband and I originally signed with another company and when the movers arrived to pack our things into the crate the size of the crate was grossly underestimated. We immediately cancelled with that mover feeling as though we were being played in order to increase the price. I went on the Internet ASAP and ALL USA Van Liines was the first call that I made and I spoke with Iris who was very helpful and emailed me a form to provide us and estimate ASAP. The estimate seemed fair so we scheduled the pick up from our home in North Carolina to be delivered to our home in California. The moving truck was a few hours late but that was no problem, when they arrived there was a disagreement about the way the Sofa was listed on the proposed items to be picked up. Iris had written a Sofa/Love Seat and I thought nothing of it until the driver said that he would have to charge us more because the contract did not specifically state "Sofa". BUT IT DID!! However, my biggest concern was when the guys did not crate up my 6 foot Heavy Mirror, they just slid it between two mattresses and promised that they would properly crate it at the warehouse before transport. Needless to say I was terrified. I took pictures and noted everything that took place during the packing. After they left I realized that the Inventory list only had One of my room size rugs listed on it so I immediately began calling Customer Service. I never got a return phone call until I researched the company deeper and found the owners phone number, guess what?? He did call me back and I emailed to him the corrected inventory list and our shipment arrived next day and the movers were absolutely proffessional and very thorough. They were very concerned about pleasing us and we tipped them VERY nicely because things turned out much better than we expected!!

Long-distance move from Florida to Arizona

Worst moving experience ever.

When I selected All USA Vanlines to be the moving company for my move from Florida to Arizona, it was based on the conversation I had with the sales representative, Cesar. We discussed the timeline for the move and Cesar assured me that scheduling a July 20th pick-update, that  the items should arrive in Arizona around July 26th or 27th. Based on this information, I proceeded with plans in Avondale, AZ including paying partial rent for July thinking I would move in the last week of July.   Nothing about this move went smoothly. The day of pick up on July 20th, Cesar had said I should have an 8:00am appointment. The call from the driver said 8am-12pm was the window for arrival. The truck did not arrive until 1:40pm. Not only did they arrive outside of the window, they didn’t bother to notify me early that they were “stuck in traffic”.   Once the movers arrived, they refused to take certain items that were listed on the inventory I submitted without boxing them up first. I had intentionally updated the inventory with ample time prior to the move date to prevent this very problem. I learned the day of pick up that items placed in garbage bags and; live plants were not permitted. Additionally, they would not take other small items without re-boxing them. All told, they insisted on packing 3 large wardrobe boxes at a significant cost. When I tried to discuss this, I was told by the driver there was no other option; that it was unlawful for him to take the items without boxing them. This added an unexpected cost to the move. He never gave me the option of not re-packing the items and accepting the responsibility if they arrived damaged.   Additionally, the driver told me I needed to tip the crew that day because it would be a different crew in Arizona. I have never heard of such a practice. I have only tipped a moving crew when they have completed the job at the new location.   When I arrived in Arizona, I called a day or two before the date Cesar and I had discussed, only to find out that my items had not even left Florida yet. This began a series of discussions with the worst customer service representative I have ever encountered named Danielle. I explained to Danielle that the reason I had booked the move with your company was because of the dates he had guaranteed me. Danielle informed me that I should have asked him to put that in writing. Why would it ever be the customer’s responsibility to see to it that a representative of your company is following through on the verbal promises made? Danielle repeatedly talked over me, not bothering to listen to my issues or concerns. She was incredibly rude and claimed I was at fault and that I didn’t follow up to get things in writing from Cesar. I tried to bring to her attention the issue of the additional wardrobe boxes the driver, David, insisted on packing, and she said “did he hold a gun to your head? If not, then you could have refused”.  This is how your customers are being spoken to. After much back and forth and a discussion in which I had to force myself to talk over Danielle, she agreed to check the inventory to see if the items I mentioned were indeed on them and that she would get back to me. Ultimately she took one wardrobe box off the bill.   At the time I made the arrangements with Cesar as well as when the items were picked up, I informed all parties involved that all payments would be made on a credit card. Everyone said that was not a problem, they would pre-authorize this for me. The day before the items were dropped off, I called to make the credit card payment, and was informed once again by Danielle that this was not acceptable and that I didn’t give enough notice. I gave several week notice! Apparently letting everyone know from the start was not ample and she refused to run the credit card. At this point, I would not receive my items if I didn’t come up with the cash; a major inconvenience and again something I had not planned.   On the day of drop off, the truck arrived in a timely manner and they started to unload. I have included a lovely picture of the sweaty driver sitting down on one of my chairs in the driveway. This is incredibly unprofessional! As items started entering the house, I noticed how banged up the boxes were. Then when Rubbermaid tubs came in bashed in and cracked, my concern for my items deepened. Not only were multiple items damaged, items are missing! A coffee table, two flower boxes/pots, and a box are all nowhere to be found.   The movers were ready to go, when I took a quick inventory and realized I was missing several items. When I went to back to the truck, I could see on the truck a coat rack that belonged to me. When I said it was mine, they said, it doesn’t have a number. I said, so check my inventory as I listed it on there. The only inventory they had was of the items that were hand written by David at pick up. When they removed the coat rack from the truck, one of the prongs had been busted. Additionally an end table had been cracked, the handle on a dresser was bent, two floor lamps were bent and the bottoms broken, and a number of items taped up by your company have adhesive that is impossible to remove stuck to them. All of these were items packed by All USA Vanlines. Additionally the front tire was taken off my mountain bike and the front breaks were damaged in the move.   I immediately called Danielle to ask what I should do about the broken and missing items. She said to have the driver, Sammy, make a note on the inventory and sign it. Sammy refused to sign anything to witness the damaged item. He also claimed that he had unloaded every item with a number from the truck and none were missing. This is completely impossible but because the system is so archaic it would require my going through the entire inventory piece by piece to identify where the missing items fell on the list.  Had the driver had my original inventory, it would have been clear the number of tables, flower pots, and boxes and they did not match up with what they took off the truck.   Danielle was, once again incredibly unhelpful and rude in this circumstance as well, telling me she refused to speak with me anymore. I was able to get the claims process and contact info before she hung up on me. I filed the claim and over a month has passed and I have heard nothing nor have my missing items been located. .

Decent job overall.

We used All USA Van Lines to load a container for my upcoming cross-country move. Proper arrangements were made at the very last minute and the moving crew that arrived was extremely careful and flexible, they were thorough in describing the service and other costs. They did the move on a Saturday afternoon at my request because we still had to pack up things. The movers were courteous and professional and the owner called me the next day to check on the service, making sure everything was satisfactory and asking for suggestions on how they can improve. Decent job overall.

These guys are really good, I do not reccommend lightly :-)simply pros.

On a coworkers recommendation, I hired All USA to complete a move this past Friday and I've been raving about them all weekend.Communication was timely, and to the point. I scheduled with Daniel via email. He checked in a few days before to confirm our start, and called 15 minutes before arrival. As requested, a two man team (Jeff and Corey) completed the move- a downtown loft apartment with 6 years worth of stuff, mostly on loft level. They were fast, efficient and careful.. and came with their own supplies (dolly, blankets, shrink-wrap, tape). They even took care to return a handful of change that had dropped from a drawer I should have emptied prior to move day.Price point was standard, and rates straightforward. Attitude was amazing. Both Corey and jeff are incredibly nice, really down to earth guys, while still maintaining an honorable level of professionalism. I was ribbing Jeff a bit as he smiled every time he walked through the door. Do you smile when you carry things?? Because I know that I don't! I highly recommend their services, and will book them again for my next move. Thanks guys! You made it remarkably easy :-)    .

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Georgia

Bad communication, broken and missing items.

Very bad experience. Summary: very late delivery, two bookshelves were missing, one bike is missing, most of other delivered furniture are damaged (chair, end table etc.)
Details:
First of all, I got into this via mid-way van lines (was dealing with ralph there). They promised me that stuff will be delivered within at max 10 days. Pick up was by all USA van lines and was on time. Once picked up, I had to call them 15 times to get the delivery. The biggest problem was it was very hard to get to their dispatch department. Very rarely they answer (of course, what is voicemail!). Whenever you get someone, they are rude. As per the dispatch, they can take up to 21 business days and whatever sales agent told me was bs! Frustrating part has they never answered my calls nor answered my emails. I was scared - how on earth am I going to get my stuff back?
When they finally delivered, I didn't two bookshelves. They said it broke in the warehouse! My bike was not delivered. They don't know where is it. The exercise bike is broken. Dining table chair is damaged. The bed frame is wet. Fortunately, all the boxes (which we packed) were fine.
Then it comes to "Long carry". Truck drivers who deliver intentionally give many reasons to increase the length of walk and charge for "Long carry". I paid $500 just for long carry (First of all, sales agent never told me about long carry charges. Never mind) and then we are after all humans - so we tip too! I could have bought all of my stuff in my total cost!
Their customer service is horrible. Everyone is rude. They rarely answer calls. .

Disappointed.

It took me several days to recover form my extreme disappointment in the move from FL to GA of our second home. I interviewed several companies and was very impressed with Anthony from All USA Van Lines. We had been in contact for several months while our house was being built. The pick up was scheduled and executed very well. What was not made clear was that my goods were being unloaded and then repacked when a driver was assigned. Needless to say several fragile boxes were crushed and the items broken. I had the fillials on my daughters bed broken off and the legs of an antque table broken as well.
The most disappointing aspect was that Anthony spoke with dispatch who told him the goods would be delvered before Christmas because my beds were on the truck. They were to get them to us by the 18th. There were no return calls or responses to my emails. Finally we get a call on Christmas day from a driver who delivered the next day but was 5 hours late. Much to their credit they styed until well into the night unloading in the dark.
The crews were great.
Customer service poor.
Anthony a disappointment.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to New Mexico

An unredeeming update.

So I wrote a review about USA VAN lines a few moments ago when I was still unable to get ahold of them after 21 days of waiting for our delivery.  I just got off the phone with a lady who said that our stuff was in storage in Georgia.  (We moved from North Carolina) They were waiting on a driver heading out West. The discount for every day they are late..$9.99.  So at that little bit of financial unconvieniance to the company they could hold our stuff for several more weeks till they find other fools to trust them with an East to West move.  In my opinion if a company makes certain delivery promises, like an already outrageous delivery time frame, to give them the time they need to gather customers and make the trip financialy fruitful to the company, then it should be their responsibility to take the losses of not being able to gather the cusomer base in the desired time frame.  This is how you earn loyal customers, by keeping faith with your promises. I will never use this company again.

Nightmare Move - refused to get lost goods.

Not only were they 34 days late from the maximum delivery time of 21 days but the worst part was a lost box of goods that was located in Mass. They refused to get the box, told me to file a claim. There was also a misdelivered queen size mattress that they did not pick up to deliver to the rightful owner. They told me to throw it away. I could go on but it would take too long. Do not use this company!!

Despicable service - Want my refund.

The initial agreement to make the move was $1689.66. On the day of pickup they showed up late without a contract and no weigh ticket. When questioned about weighing the furniture they replied they would do a visual estimation. They then re-quoted the cost and said it would be $3000. I had terminated the electric, water, phone, cable, internet service and had a flight ticket for next day departure. I paid $330 deposit and they demanded another $1339 before they would load the furniture on truck. Upon arrival at my new residence, 10 days late, they demanded another $1370 of which I didn't have so they put the furniture in storage. After a long battle notifying various government agencies, including the BBB I still was forced to pay the balance of $1370 (another 15 days later) and they didn't deliver. I had to then hire another company to have my furnishings delivered from the storage unit to my new residence for an additional $300. These people are professional scam artists, they exactly what to do and what to say to keep within the law and cheat you out of your hard earned money. If you see them coming PLEASE run the other way. They ended up swindling me for $3039 - 1689 = $1350 $300 to have delivered by someone else. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LOW DOWN SCUM THIEVES WHO DESERVE TO BE HORSE WHIPPED. And they try to tell me that my furniture weighed 4900 lbs. when the people that finally delivered it said it was only 3200 lbs. Delivered by a different company. Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Stolen or thrown out items- horrible.

I moved from Florida to NY and I am so dissapointed because my items are not all here. I am missing a whole bed, a table from my living  room and 9 large boxes of goods. I called because the delivery man said he is certain some of the stuff were left behind as he noticed that there was items missing from the checklist but they told him to go with what he has. I called customer service and spoke to Ashley. She was not nasty but not helpful at all. I asked her to please go and look in the warehouse for my stuff but instead I was told to file a claim. It seems easier for them to steal your stuff and tell you to file a claim because they know you're only getting $50 for your items that cost you thousands of dollars- some of which has no pricetag and are things you cannot get back with any money in the world. I cannot believe that this company is still operating based on all that I am reading. I never did this prior to hiring the company and Im mad at myself for that. All I want is my stuff. I don't want any money. Is there any way they can get sued for this? We all have the same complaint!

Long-distance move from Ohio to Colorado

Moving scam.

Beware of this company. If they have picked up your belongings and have not yet delivered them, demand for them to be returned. Cancel the move. You will lose the money but that is the only way to protect your things. They will keep them in storage and they do not care if you ever get your things delivered. We waited for 6 weeks and had to spend several thousand dollars  on items that we already own because they had all our things in storage. They would not allow us to get to the storage unit to pick up things that we needed. We had no idea where our stuff was for 6 weeks. We finally insisted on having it all returned which took another 2  weeks but we were glad to have our things back. This is probably the worst moving company ever. I don't know how they stay in business.

Long-distance move from Virginia to New Jersey

Never Use an Internet Mover. go Local.

LESSON: Call a Realtor for a referral of a reputable moving company, even if the phone quote SEEMS like  a good deal. Quote was done over the phone.   I have since found reputable movers who have taught me: NEVER DO A QUOTE OVER THE INTERNET OR PHONE. We reserved the elevator for 1-4 for our move and called twice to tell them.  They showed up at 9:00 AM.  We told them we were not allowed to move until 1, they came back at 3:00.  They then said, oh, you have a lot more square footage.  We had measured and counted and reported each box and piece of furniture.  We were to store for 35 days until our apartment is ready.  One of the movers smelled so bad we had to spray Fabreze after he left.  In the hall as well as the apartment. We were forced to find another apartment that won't be available until another week.  We called to change the delivery date.  We knew they'd tell us there'd be a storage fee increase.  They told us WE CAN'T HAVE OUR THINGS FOR A MONTH LATER THAN THE ORIGINAL DELIVERY DATE.  I won't even discuss where they stored our things.  One might assume near the pick-up or delivery location.  Nope.  Richmond, VA.  2 hours from the pick-up, 8 hours from the delivery. To date, we still haven't seen any of our household items. Please, heed my advice:  contact a Realtor you know and ask them for a referral.  Don't ever book a mover over the phone or internet, no matter what they quote.  .

Long-distance move from Georgia to Nevada

Terrible.

This was the worst experience ever. The staff has no knowledge of what's going on. The supervisor of customer service Whitney has very poor customer service skills rude & very noncompassionate. Terri customer service stated she would call to see if I received my furniture never heard back from here. Jerome customer service just stuck in the middle told me my delivery date expected as of 09/26/14 it's 10/08/14 still no furniture.

Long-distance move from Georgia to Nevada

Horrible.

I have been waiting on my furniture fighting with this company for a move date. Customer service gave me a date of pickup 09/26/14 & I am still without furniture. Shelley billing personnel call herself helping & never called me batch. Customer service and dispatch@usavanlines.net don't communicate. No one can tell me anything. Sent me a separate contract to wait 21 days then tried to change it to 30 days. Stated they don't have an upper management. So I'm going to call the news team.

Dishonest and Zero Accountability.

This company is horrible and dishonest. Please save your money and time and do not use them. My delivery date was 8/22, it is 10/29 and I am still without my belongings. There is no accountability with this group. The number you call is just a number to operators who never handle your belongings and do not work with the people who do. These people will tell you anything. I was told that on 9/27 my belongings had been assigned to a truck and that I should receive them sometime within the week. When I called later I spoke with someone who told me there is no way they could have known when delivery was because the driver did not post any information. He also informed me that many of the people there just say anything to customers. My wife, who is currently 22 weeks pregnant, and I moved across country and still do not have our bed or any of our other furtniture. I would suggest that no one ever use this company, they are awful. .

Long-distance move from Florida to Maryland

Poor service - high rates.

The estimate was half of the actual bill,  The game is to quote you an attractive price then slam you on the day of pickup when ot's too late to find another mover.  They say that their movers are all their own but they subcontract.  The deliver team had a driver with less than a years experience and a helper who had 1 weeks experience. The stuff that I told them was important they wrapped properly but anything they packed while I was not watching was just thrown in a box.  That includes clothes on hangers thrown in with a metal wall sculpture.  Metal lamps thrown together with no wrapping resulting in both lamps being scratched.  Two other glass lamps broken because they were not wrapped in any way.  Three pieces of furniture were damaged.  A corner broken where it hadn't been wrapped.  A china closet chipped where it must have been dropped. All told it was the worst group of movers that I ever hired in 6 moves.  If you want your stuff destroyed, give them a call.  .

Local move within Georgia

Expensive.

They low ball the moving estimate then add fees for everything like moving more than 80 feet is an extra $75. Then they demand the last payment be made via cash or a money order from the post office only. Their policy states they don't accept money orders or cashiers checks from your bank. The customer service staff is rude and I was on hold for 45 minutes. The driver delivering the furniture was also rude. When they finally delivered my furniture they were two weeks later than they said they would be.

Long-distance move from Georgia to Washington

Scam.

Do not use this company, which also goes by Cross Country Movers! The driver threatened to leave with the rest of our stuff every time we would take pictures of damaged items or the large scratches they put in our new hardwood floor. We paid for reassembly of furniture but the driver went to leave without reassembling any furniture without even telling us he was going. We ran out and caught him getting into his truck and he nearly slammed my wife and infant in his truck door in his haste to get away. After multiple complaints and them trying to appease us with $150, even though they ruined our floor, furniture and nearly physically harmed my new baby, they have since said that nothing will be offered as compensation. Despite multiple calls and letters, they will not even tell me the name of the truck driver, who also refused to give his name when he was on site. This all occurred after waiting for more than one month in an empty home with a baby before the furniture ever arrived. Do not use ALL USA Van Lines or Cross Country Movers!!

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Pennsylvania

Completely dishonest.

I used to work for this company..Well actually I used to work as a 'relocation consultant' for their marketing firm based out of Tel Aviv, Israel.
My boyfriend was moving to PA from NJ. A short move. I figured I would use the company I worked for, thinking that since I would at times sell $20,000 worth of moves in a day for them, they would give us a good deal.
No such luck. Our salesperson also low-balled us (not his fault, we had no training, and the inventory list doesn't matter). The guys arrived 4 hours late, pressured my mom into doing the move even though he was charging $400 extra. (Including $50 to pack a picture??).
Tonight my boyfriends stuff was delivered and when he tried to pay the agreed upon amount, the movers LEFT HIS STUFF ON THE SIDEWALK when he did not want to pay the additional $900 they wanted. So, he paid $1700 to have his stuff left on the sidewalk at 9:00 at night in a brand new city where he new no one. AND I USED TO WORK FOR THEM!!
Do not use this company. .

Bad Experience!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! If you are looking for moving companies DO NOT give your business to Van Lines and all the companies that are under that umbrella including Van Lines of America and USA, Quality moving services and many more, they all are the same fraud. I personally used Quality Moving Services LLC, DO NOT USED THAT COMPANY!! People do your research and do not hire these companies, I didn't have time to do more research and this is my consequences, now that I actually looked them up, they have the worst reviews and 1 star rating in every website online. Worst experience that I have ever had. First I talk Errol in the phone, he was nice and gave me the quote of $1,042, I called them back and made the deal with him, he called me back the same day saying that he made a mistake and the real total was $1,200 still a good price so I agreed. When the pick up day came, the total changed to over $1,800 "because I used more space" they already had the things on the truck so I agreed. Then the mover demanded to get the half of total due in cash at pick up and then the other half on cash at the pick up day. In the contract they sent me, it DID NOT said it had to be cash, I did not had cash on me. This guy Ron showed me the contract he had and it did said on his, that it had to be cash, but not on mine. He asked me to showed him the one in my email and I did and he even admitted it that it wasn't on my copy that was sent to me that it had to be cash nor they told me over the phone, that should've been a red flag, really suspicious that his contract copy was different then mine. Long story short I had to drive to the bank and get them cash. It turned out the mover named Ron its the "manager" I really do not understand how somebody can hire him as manager. He called him self the only manager and there is nobody else you can complain but him and he is NO HELP! The delivery day, the driver called me saying that the road I leave in doesn't allow trucks, that they were going to transfer my stuffs to smaller truck and it will be an extra charge. At that point I lost it because I leave in a commercial area where there is a lot of business and I see those kinda trucks driving around my house everyday. That company is a big lie and fraud. They will make anything up to get more money out of you. I had to change the delivery address in order to not pay anything extra. When the driver unloaded the truck.. several things were broken, scratched and ripped. I asked the driver, how these claims work and his answer was to just call the manager which he didn't even knew the manager' name and supposedly there is only one manager, How can you not know your manager' name?, the only manager there is. I called Ron the manger, he never answer or called me back. I called the company number and the guy who answer was extremely rude, he yelled at me and I just hang up the phone because I can not tolerate more from them, now that they already got the full payment.. very single person in that company is rude and do not care about their customers. The manager called me the day after and this is what he said "hey, I don't understand what is your problem?" I hanged up, I'm not going to deal with them anymore. Im sure somehow they are going to get out of paying the things they broke because they are professional in stealing and taking advantage of costumers. I see this guy Ron the "manager" replying to the reviews and its so unprofessional to not find a solution for them but instead he tries to explain "their side of the story" which its all lies. I mean take a look of how many bad reviews and complains you have from costumers Ron, in yelp, Facebook and all over the internet, you and your companies are obviously the problem.
