‼️ s c a m m e r s ‼️.

This company seemed to have been the right move (no pun intended), until it wasn’t.. Carlos quoted my mom a specific price and also stated that there would be no additional costs such as travel fees. It took the movers an unbelievable amount of time to disassemble furniture and load it onto the truck, and to add insult to injury, when we got to the storage unit almost 20minutes away from the house we were moving from, the movers realized they left their tools and my BROTHER had to go back for them.. wasting time they charged my mom for! To make it worse, we get to the new house and they tell my mom a price DOUBLED what was agreed upon with Carlos and held our stuff hostage until it was paid. Carlos magically disappeared and wouldn’t answer our calls (how convenient). And on top of the doubled fees, they tried to charge a 5.5% fee for using a card. A fee that one of the officers present (we called the cops who couldn’t help because this scam is common) said was ILLEGAL to charge because the company itself already pays for that fee. My mom is sick and was already stressed about the move, and this terrible company only made it worse! 0/10, would NOT recommend.

Do Not Use a Couple of Movers.

I wish I had listened to these reviews. Joe quoted me $75 per hour and said that even though their system required a 3 hour minimum, I would only be charged for 2 hours if that's the time it took to move the studio apartment worth of furniture (two small dressers, two book cases, 12 boxes). He recommended I have about $200 cash just in case the time went a little past two hours.

The crew didn't show at the scheduled 9 am time. I tried calling all telephone numbers and sent messages through the website. Joe finally responded online saying he was off work, but the crew had an emergency the night prior and another crew would be on their way that morning. The crew (one middle aged man and an older man) showed up in a huge truck about two hours late. They seemed like they had never moved anything before - moving very slowly, carrying one box at a time, sitting in their truck - to run up the clock. The two houses are 8 minutes apart, and they unloaded everything slowly and finished exactly two hours later.

They told me I owed $258 because of the three hour minimum. I argued back and got their boss on the phone (he didn't provide his name). He said I was lucky that they broke company policy by unloading before taking my payment and that they gave me a deal because travel time should have been on top of the 3 hour minimum. He also said if I didn't have enough cash to pay, I could use a card for the rest - like I don't know how finances work. I ended up hanging up on him because it wasn't going anywhere.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. THEY ARE NOT LEGIT MOVERS. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Worst Company Ever!

They advertise themselves as a different company on 'offer up' the phone representatives that everyone is talking about in the reviews below are readily available when booking the move and they act like they are the owners and operation of the company to make you feel safe. Anyways, same thing happened to me that happened to everyone else in the reviews below theyquoted me 75 per hour and I ended up with a bill of $1900 that I had to pay or else they wouldn't unload my stuff . Please be careful in booking these movers.. biggest scam ever!

Scammers/Stay Away from Using Them.

The most dishonest, scamming company I've ever dealt with in my entire life. Watch out from signing anything when they arrive. Make them write it all out on the invoice before they touch one thing you own. Don't let them move anything until you get it all in writing. And then call the dishonest managment to confirm. But they'll probably lie to you again. Do yourself a favor, find anybody else other than this company. Read the others. The Better Business Bureau will be informed certainly. Ended up paying almost doubled for what the original cost was suppost to be. And watch out for the tips, double time for the drivers you will be charged for, in addition to the tricks they're going to play at the time when they arrive.

This was recent, this month-July 2020.

A poor excuse as a moving business, in business to cheat and take advantage of hard working citizens. But God sees all, and knows all. Should be extremely ashamed of how you're conducting business.

Extremely Expensive.

Wow I wish I had read the reviews prior to using this company. I was given an affordable quote. The two men arrive at 9:45am and did not finish until 1:35. Did not arrive to my destination for drop until 7:30 stated the truck started to over heat. Of course I had to call to find out that this had happened and when they arrived they stated I needed to pay upfront before they can unload and when I took a at the bill, it was $2206 . I almost went into cardiac arrest, originally I was told $450. My mistake was not checking out the reviews prior and signing the paper before they started to move my things , that’s where they get you because after you sign they come up with the high price. I only had $600. I had to borrow money from daughter and husband. I was devastated and crying. I’m truly hurt over this because I honestly did not have that kind of money and they would have kept my furniture if I did not pay $2206, they wouldn’t even consider bringing the price down, and I had my little ones with me to witness me crying trying to figure out how we were going to get our furniture. Lesson learned!! This will never happened to me again!! and I hope your company crumbles!! You expect money in that amount from people in this difficult time! Plus I had my young kids with me. You guys are a rip off!!

WARNING! THIS IS A WELL ORGANIZED SCAM

INTERNET…”A COUPLE OF MOVERS” SCAM,

RIP OFF. OCTOBER 16, 2020

This is how the scam works:

I, like most people would do nowadays, we checked the Internet for adds and services needed, in our case “movers”.

I found this company named “A COUPLE MOVERS” as advertised above with two addresses locations in Hallandale, Florida and different phone numbers.

In my case I contacted a person supposedly named Joe Martinez at 954 804 6339, who assured to me by phone and e-mail (copy attached) that he total moving fee would be $75.00 per hour and that amount would include everything, even two persons doing the moving and one doing the driving of the van of course.

We established the addresses for pick-up and delivery. We went further to estimate that the total cost would be $300 the equivalent to 4 hours work or maybe up to $400. I thought the amount was reasonable for the transportation of 7 relatively small pieces of office wooden furniture plus 3 chairs.

Well, here comes the beginning of the scam…the truck and movers showed up to the pick-up location one hour late, they started right of way wrapping some of the furniture with a thin plastic black foil and in some instances used small pieces of cardboard as padding. It took them less than one hour to load the truck. Once the desk and the shelves were inside the truck, the driver handed me a piece of paper to sign…”What am I signing for?” I said, and the driver said your authorization to transport the goods pointing at the $75.00 dollar per hour previously agreed, . NOTHING ELSE WAS ON THE PAPER WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE MOVING (FROM / TO) ADDRESSES, previously agreed with Joe Martinez over the phone and e-mail.

(Keep in mind that I am not the client, I was only the contact for the pick-up furniture in Miami for Mrs. A. C., the client who lives in Sunrise. Mrs. C. also spoke with Joe Martinez and was promised by him exactly the same total charges of $75.00 per hour “including everything”

When the truck driver and assistant arrived in Sunrise I was there too because at the last moment I decided that I should help Mrs. Carazo since she was alone and might needed help. Good thing I did.

SURPRISE…THE SCAM! It was all planned… The signed piece of paper one hour before in Miami, a supposed requirement to carry the load to Sunrise, FL., approximate 44 miles away (less than one hour drive) had been conveniently filled with numbers by the carriers, whom by the way spoke very broken English and did not speak Spanish either (very hard to understand or communicate with them. Perhaps they were faking not knowing enough English as a part of their con game). They presented the “paper” to Mrs. C. with an outrageous amount totaling $1,534.00 a difference of $1,134.00 from the original estimate. Please notice that there is NO NAME of any of the employees or “representative” of this company on that piece of paper modified by the “doubtful” movers.

We never saw the furniture being downloaded from the truck at the final destination, so we do not have the slightest idea the condition that it was in after being handled by the very strange workers. As we refused to pay that exorbitant amount we called Joe Martinez once more. At this time Joe Martinez had lost all good manners and politeness which he had used when he conned us into hiring his services at A COUPLE MOVERS, LLC. Needles is to say he threatened us with additional charges…these guys were totally out of their minds! What were they thinking?

They did not honor their original telephone and e-mail estimate / quote and refused to download our merchandise. Like I said, it sounds like if everything was planned and they thought we would fall for it!

We are contacting our lawyers, as far as we all are concerned, they have taken without authorization our office furniture. It may not be a “Bank Robbery”, but this is a well organize group of criminal people targeting in bad faith regular and small people like us. Their aim is to victimize citizens like us, by the wrongly use of the Internet and false and misleading promises and e-mails . I NOW NOW there is a plethora of complaints/scams available in the Internet about A COUPLE OF MOVERS LLC. I wish I would have checked this company in the Interne or the Best Business Bureau (BBB) before falling as one additional victim of the scammers.

Too bad I cannot give 0 star - scam

This is a scammer. I had a very similar experience as others. Initially, the "manager" mentioned only $75/hr, giving a quote of $300 for one bedroom move down the street 10 min. In the end, they charged us $922 for "supplies". What a terrible way to scam someone. I was in a rush at that moment, so without much arguing, I just paid and got my things back. Thinking back, I could have jsut told them, keep that shit and I dont need that. And I should have called my lawyer. Terrible scammers. Two Russian dudes.

BEWARE they rebranded to Two Man Moving LLC

Movers from Two Man Moving LLC showed up in a truck with "A Couple of Movers" written on the truck. I assume they re branded because people were catching on about the scam. all the 1 star reviews are true. Total Bait and switch along with a side of extortion. They have all your possessions locked in their truck and say "its an additional $250/day that you don't pay them". My $1000 quote turned into a $2200 move that they couldn't accept credit card on (i assume because the banks shut them down) so I had to do a Zelle transfer to pay the extortion and get my possessions back.

Worst Moving Experience Ever!! A Nightmare!

Sept 2019-- a simple city-city move in Fl went south real quick!
1) Job was underestimated severely going from $523-$1100, with no apologies, only excuses.
2) The workers showed up 4hrs later!! No apologies, excuses
3) -1 of 2 workers showed up in flip-flops! I knew I was in trouble!
4) Job scheduled to be a 3 hr job took 11 hrs!! It started at 4:30pm and ended at 3:30am. This was a partial move--most furniture was already gone!! BUT they actually left the destination at 5:00am!! It was a disaster!
5) The guy-"Michael" "Misha Moving" (what ever that is,I couldn't find it on google as a moving company). But apparently this was the guy the movers were speaking to that I had to pay over the phone at the time of their arrival at 3am. Who were they?? I had to give a credit card over the phone and they wanted pic of license ID taken on drivers personal phone and sent to "Misha Moving"--needless to say, I did not do that!!
6) At 5am- my furniture was held hostage on their truck until we paid the $1100.00
7) Upon unpacking my items 2 of 4 of my beveled glass shelves that went to the Entertainment center was broke. Their response--- call it into the Insurance company!! Really..is that all you have to say!
8) None of my items were bubbled wrap, clothed wrap or even handled with care.

This was the worst moving experience ever! It involved 3 different company's -- sales person?? drivers / movers?? the guy who got paid?? What?? Give me a break!!

Warning to those considering using this company.. "Run, Forest, Run" And don't look back! I wish I was exaggerating this story, but it is factually true! aughhhh!!

Do not use this company.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Stay away from them! Scammers! Excuse after excuse on why they did not show up on Saturday then 4 hrs late Sunday. Did not have room to move everything and upped the price and would not get my stuff off truck until I paid. Literally held it hostage. Very unprofessional. Run from this company!

Reliable movers.

Good move overall, they took a little longer than expected because I had some stuff that they needed to pack but they were carefull and wore mask and gloves, I would give a 4 star but the movers did not have change for $100 and we had to drive to the gas station to put gas. Nice movers.

No call, no show..and I think we got lucky.

My husband and I were relocating for work and Carlos got in touch after I solicited quotes for a move from Lake to Volusia County. The price was reasonable, he was very proactive about checking in to make sure we didn't need anything or have any questions, we actually spoke an hour before their stated arrival time, and then..nothing. It's made an already stressful situation much more so, but judging by what I'm seeing here and elsewhere, we dodged a bullet (and I learned an important lesson about *scanning* google for reviews instead of thoroughly researching).

Beware/stay Away/rip Off.

All the others reviews are true, Joe makes a great sales pitch and quotes 1 price and then it ends up being completely different and so expense!! quotes at about 275 and final price ended up being 1225!! crazy charges for some plastic wrap and travel fees and lifting fees. they pack your furniture in the truck and then hold it there and won't unload until you pay. they like only getting cash and will charge you 10% transaction fee if you insist to pay with card. YOUVE BEEN WARNED.

Nightmare.

If I could give 0 stars I would give it, it is the worst moving company that I have tried for many years, first I specifically asked that people arrive at 9 am and they were an hour late, then I asked that 3 men arrive and 2 arrived, Instead of making the move in 3 hours as they advised me, it took 5 and a half hours, and the worst thing is not that, but I called to speak with the manager Mike and he is a super rude man, and his response was like this is life, what is the problem? a lot of lack of professionalism, unpunctual and disrespectful.
