The estimate is way off; they gave very low estimate to get the job. Crew came 1H late; Crew do not have moving skill, training or personally. Took much longer, than the estimate. Broke multiple things and made scratches &dings on both of my houses. I never EVER hire them; I recommend NOT to hire them. Don't believe in the reviews. You will regret like me. I paid few hundreds more for nothing. No one called me to find out about, how the move went. I called them to tell about the numerous broken and damaged items. Company owner is upset that I wrote these reviews. My intention is none of the customer who is paying for their services should not go through, what I went through. .

This was my second time around using 495 Movers, and I didn't think it was possible but they were better than I remembered! They were prompt to call and alert me that they were on their way well before the allotted window of arrival. The three man team was thorough, fast and efficient at assesing the items that needed further padding/wrapping/packaging. Before I knew it they were headed to the new apartment and the unloading began. Not only did they quickly (and safely) get everything up to my new apartment, but they remembered which items went in each specific room. They took the time to make sure everything was set up as desired. At the end of the move they double checked that all items had safely been delivered and set-up to my needs. I would highly reccomend 495 Movers to anyone that is looking for a reliable, efficient and professional moving company. .

I have used 495 Movers 3 times and they are the most professional, courteous, honest movers I have ever eperienced.  I have used Mayflower, North American Van Lines, et al and will NEVER use those companies again.  495 Movers goes the extra mile and then some.  The owner is kind, courteous, and a consummate professional. Tom and Alex are attentive, courteous, kind, efficient, and honest.  They take extra, extra care in wrapping and packing your goods--treating them like they are valuable, precious famiy items.  They are fast and efficient and go over all of the costs ingreat  detail.  But beyond their professional expertise, these guys are kind human beings.  Truly the BEST movers anywhere!

This was my first major move and I have to say that John and his staff were very helpful and very professional. My items were moved in a timely manner. There was no damage and they even move me in 1 hour under the estimate. I will recommend them to my friends and family. I also recommended them to my apartment management staff because they did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again. Thank you John for the excellent customer service and the communication. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

These guy were fast and very professional . they boxed and or wrapped everything--nice and neat- they did the job lickity split, loaded the truck and then drove 2 hundred miles to my new location and unloaded the same day--i am very happy with this move. one thing I would suggest to anybody hiring movers--make sure they come out to your place to give you a estimate and meet the sales person--(john was great to work with) 495 movers were unmatched with other companys. it took a long time for me to decide on a mover but I am glad I choose 495 movers.  The extra care they took was worth it. -other movers just wrap matteress but 495 mover wrapped all my furniture which was great because I had to store it for a while. My move was actually only an 8 mile move so the 8.5 days above was 8.5 hours but there was no hourly criteria. Many of my pieces of furniture were hand made by my husband who had passed away a few years ago.  I requested they take special care with these items which is why I belive the move took the time it did.  They wrapped each item in cardboard and tapped it securly - I was very appreciative of that! The crew did a fantastic job. I gave communication an Average because there was only one of the crew of four that really understood english.  If he was not around I tried to communicate my wishes but they were not always understood - no big deal really. I hope to request the same crew for my next move in a few years to another part of Maryland - over 200 miles away.  I am sure they will handle that move just a well at his one!  I highly recommend 495 movers.  
As for the cost, 495 movers was right in line with the other well known companies in the area.  I went with 495 because they include everything (boxes, tape, unexpected reqeusts, trip to the dump if I wanted) in the price and if it took additional hours I just paid the adiditonal time by the hour.  No confusing numbers to work with or figure out.  I did not take the additional insurance and did not need it.

I found 495 Movers online when I needed help moving my daughter's belongings into storage. Tom answered my call and walked me through the process. He was helpful, asked the questions that needed to be answered for planning the move, and answered my questions in language I could understand. He called to confirm before the day arrived, and the three-man crew arrived promptly on move day.  They went quickly to work and completed the move to storage in less time than we had estimated. They were polite and friendly, putting up with the excitement of a not-quite 3-year old boy with good humor. My husband was career Air Force, and we made many moves during his 25-year career.  I rate this company and especially Tom and the crew, as one of the best. We will definitely be calling them when it is time to move the things out of storage. .

My experience with 495 movers was great . This was the first time using a moving company and their service was timely and efficient. They wrapped all my items with care and those things that I had packed myself they added extra wrapping if necessary. They moved quickly it took 2hours to pack up the truck however to unpack and reesemble was less than an hour. They put things exactly where I wanted them placed. If I ever move again I will definitely utilize their services and I will reccommend them assist others with their moves.

The crew arrived on time and packed all items well to preclude any damage. Despite the long trip to the loading dock and some elevator problems they were able to get all items loaded. Delivery took a bit longer due to the loading issues, but unloading went very quickly. Cost estimate was under; however this was more due to our underestimation of the distance to the loading dock, elevator issues and more items than we thought. Moving crew was professional and hard working.

I recently used 495 movers for a long distance move from rockville to Green Bay WI. On the day of the pick up Marvin the foreman and his crew were on time and they protected all of my furniture with blankets and shrink wrap. The salesman nadav explained me step by step how everything was going to done. I just want to thank 495 movers for making my move one of the best moves I have done. On the day of the delivery nothing was broken or stolen all of my furniture arrived like it had never moved without any scratches.

495 Movers were fabulous.  They moved a small load for me from one location in Washington DC to another.  Although the price seemed high ($650) given that it took about 40 minutes to load, 20 minutes to unload, and 20 minutes to get from one location to the other, it was because of their minimum times, and the price was worth it.  They were flexible when plans changed, accommodating about scheduling, and perfect on the day of the move. The crew was on time, fast, careful, and friendly.  They provided whatever was needed -- placing furniture where requested, offering extra boxes and packing tape, and remembering things that I had forgotten.  With 495, there are no surprises (except good ones) and no added fees on the day of the move, as there are with some movers.  All around, the easiest and pleasantest move I've ever experienced.  I would certainly use them again and recommend them to anyone wanting a fair, honest, helpful, and friendly moving experience.

Full packing service for my 4 bedroom house was great experience. They arrived on time and did excellent job. I will highly recommend them to whomever is moving soon. A day after the move, the owner motion called to thank us for choosing them! I wasn't surprise because all process was in the same level. Prices is all inclusive and there are no surprises with this company. Also want to mention Tom, the sells person, who was very gentle and with a lot of moving knowledge.

It was a easy and stress free experience dealing with 495 Movers.  The sales rep came to our home and perfomed a detailed inventory and explained all the costs, including storage.  He explained how different items would be packed and stored.  I found 495 service and rates to be better than all others, including the "big boy professional" movers.  The moving out day went smoothly as did the delivery to our new home.  Very competent and professional team both times. We paid a little extra to have 495 Movers pack our kitchen, which I recommend everyone to do.  They re-assembled everything expertly and there was no damage or breakage noted.  They also maintained excellent communications with us via email and phone calls which was very reassuring.  I would highly recommend 495 Movers to anyone moving locally or long distance.   .

We were a bit disappointed in the 495 Mover's service for the following reasons: 1. The movers arrived late - the company said they were coming between 8 and 10am, but they came a little before 11 am. The movers eventually mentioned that they were up until 3 am the night before moving a very big house, so this may account for the lack of promptness. 2. After packing up our stuff, they took a long time driving between our old place to our new place.  Accounting for driving speed of the truck, it should have taken them 2 hours and it took them almost 3 and half hours. I drove the route in my car and it only took about 90 mins to get to our new place and we were left waiting close to 2 hours for the movers. They have to drive slower in the truck, but I believe they took a slower route and hit traffic. This was a bit stressful since we paid the company by the hour. They did eventually subtract 30 mins from their total time after we called and complained. One of their excuses was they said they stopped for lunch on the way.  3. Poor communication between their office and movers - the movers were told there was an elevator to our apartment, when we told their office there wasn't one. The movers were a bit annoyed, but they did handle it well considering. 4. This company cost more per hour than other companies. They had three guys working on our place, and we have a relatively smaller apartment. So maybe it would have better to just have had two guys and paid less per hour. 5. I would also say they high ball their estimates. When they gave their initial estimate we knew it was way too high (saying they would take 12 hours to move a small 2 bedroom apartment, when other companies suggested around 6-8). It's nice that they came in under the estimate, but their estimate was so unrealistic that it wasn't useful. I'm guessing they have the high estimate since customers hate when movers end up charging more than estimate..I understand that, but there is also something to accuracy.
 
There were good things about this company though: 1. The movers were professional, hard-working, and talented with disassembling/assembling items 2. They did not break any items and were careful about things. Extra wrapping, etc.   Big picture, I'd say you may be able to find a better deal with another company especially if you don't have too much stuff. I expected a bit more considering the cost of this company. If you want a trustworth company and you want to be sure no fragile items are broken then maybe this company is for you. The company seems more suited for large homes. We cared a bit more about time/money, so we'll probably look elsewhere in the future.

I used 495 Movers for a local move and my experience was very positive from the estimate stage to the actual moving day.  Everyone I interacted with was professional and helpful; it's clear that they are committed to provided excellent service.  Moti conducted and in-person survey of my belongings to ensure the most accurate estimate and was very responsive to my follow up questions. The day before the move, Jacob called with a final confirmation. Freddie & team on the day of the move were great.  They packed my items quickly and efficiently and checked with me throughout the move to make sure items were packed and placed as I wanted them.  After the move, John from the main office called to  follow up,  ensure that I was satisfied with the move and to thank me for my business.    I would definitely recommend 495 Movers.

My experience with 495 movers was excellent.  The initial salesperson walked through the potential size of the move by asking thorough questions and came up with a team size and time estimate.   It was very accurate, in my case, the cost came in less.
 
My full house move was accomplished with no damage to any item, as well as no damage to my old house or new house.  The house I moved to is literally a just built house, I would have noticed any ding or scrape.  There was none.

Marvin and his moving team were professional, and thorough, and very good at their work.  My experience was perfect.

Was a wonderful moving experience - I highly recommend 495 movers! They were up front about everything, never felt I was being taken advantage of. They were always prompt and responsive and fast. And since I was moving between two apt builidngs and had to reserve the loading dock/service elevator their promptness was super important. I've had some bad moving experiences before, but not with this company. I couldn't have been more pleased. If I have to move again I plan to use them. .

We just moved from an apt to a single family home and although I had movers booked, my builder did not get the occupancy certificate on time for our previously booked move. In panic, I started searching for movers online and decided to contact 495 Movers. Tom was responsive, professional and most importantly extremely flexible. Since I first spoke with him, our moving date changed a couple more times and Tom was easy to talk with and never irritated. He understood the challenges when it came to the uncertainty of things and made the move very simple. The moving crew was also extremely professional, timely, and easy to work with. We ended up needing boxes at the last minute and they were more than happy to accommodate. It made the entire thing so much more pleasant. I have recommended 495 to two of my other friends who are moving in the next month. The only thing (which was shared with me when I booked the move) was that they add a 5% charge if you pay with credit card - other than that - it was fantastic! Thanks to Tom and his crew!!

One of the most pleasant and professional experiences my family has been through.  The company was genuinely concerned about our well being and it  showed in the quality of work provided.  As we had to wait thirty days for the delivery due to timing with the move in date, 495 wrapped and stored our household goods.  At delivery, there was not any scratches nor damages.  The guys who did the physical work were friendly and quick.  They dismantled the furniture and rebuilt the same as if it was their own.  Morti was great to work with and listened to all my concerns and answered my questions without hesitation.    I will recommend Morti and 495 Movers to everyone. .
