This company is great. We were referred to them by a friend and I am still in shock at the work the crew did. They showed up on time. They started working within minutes. They never slowed down or took breaks. They were careful with all of our belongings. They treated us with respect.The work that the crew did would have taken me and my friends two days to complete and probably would have cost more. After three hours our house was emptied and our belongings put in storage. The price was reasonable and well worth it. I have already recommended 495 Movers to clients and friends. Recently, I had a local move that my son and I were excited about -- yet it was under difficult circumstances. 495 Movers was the company I chose based on excellent online reviews & reputation, professional over-the-phone presentation of services by rep, and reasonable rates without any "hidden charges" or other "surprises."

On moving day, I have to admit I was surprised that everything "in-person" happened as had been described during the phone consult. And, the team of three professional, strong, very helpful gentlemen who handled my move were absolutely wonderful -- even helping me calm down when I started crying about the move situation itself.

495 Movers also handles long-distance moves, and has a separate division dedicated to "handyman" services. This is the first company I will call for my future household needs, as well as for my next move!

I was very happy with 495 Movers. They were professional, clean, careful, timely and well priced. 495 was responsive by phone and easy to talk to and set up my move. They were professional and very tidy and kept my house and items in order and were careful not to track in any dirt into my old or new home. They showed up at our scheduled time and delivery at my new home was on time as scheduled even with DC traffic! Their price was competitive with several other quotes I received. I was very happy overall with 495 movers and would use them again no question. I have and will continue to recommend them to others.

The move went smoothly from the beginning till the end. The owner came right away to give me an estimate so we agreed on terms and flat price. I was promised that I will not be charged any extra dollar for anything and I have to say the company kept the promise. Also visual estimate was very important to me because I have expensive stuff that had to be transported extra carefully. The crew came 20 minutes earlier than we agreed and I was totally aware of that because I got a call in the morning. Me and my wife were already waiting with packed boxes and the things that had to be wrapped. The owner was participating too, checking that nothing will be broken or damaged. I should say working staff was very careful and helped as much as they could while my wife was running around asking to move things from one place to another.  We agreed to move everything in two days, because we moved couple states away. Next day the crew came and unloaded all boxes. We insisted to check all important property while the movers were in the house. Nothing was damaged. Well, a little scratch on the back of the couch, but it's nothing comparing to the great job they did. Everything was wrapped and covered so no more serious damage.

After the death of my father, we needed to clean out his apartment.  We hired 495 Movers because of their ratings by customers.  Our experience was very good.  They were prompt, worked hard and were friendly.  Price was same as the estimate.  Everything was taken from the apartment and delivered to a storage locker to be taken care of at a later time.  We watched everything moved out of the apartment, and when the storage locker was packed by 495 Movers, we checked their truck and there was nothing left on the truck.  When were were able to start unpacking the locker, two very important and irreplaceable items were missing.  I saw these items being moved out of the apartment by the movers, but they were no where to be found in the locker.  One item was a wooden footlocker made by my father when he was in high school, which contained very sentimental items.  The other item was a tool box filled with very old tools, which were better made than what you can get these days.  We contacted 495 Movers and they checked their lost and found, but of course the items were not there.  It took us a year and a half to clean out the locker, so it took that long to see the items were missing.  We also found that a box marked "very fragile" had a large beautiful lamp, with a heavy brass base and hand painted ceramic shade was broken because the base was packed on top of the shade.

495 movers have moved me 5 times in the last 7 years as I am moving almost every year. The movers were professional and prompt and did an outstanding effort to complete the job within the time frame. I am happy that every time I move with them I can expect the same quality of service and more. Very professional service.
