Sonic auto transport

This is what going to happen if you are dealing with this Sonic auto transports!!

Mark my words!!

1) They give you a low quote (you are happy to see the quote)

2) You sign the contract with all the info, pickup delivery address etc

3) You are happy that the shipping your car is taken care of. (nightmare is about to begin)

4) They say they will charge around $200 at pickup from the credit card and rest to be paid in cash to the driver upon delivery. (sounds fair)

5) They send a link and keep your credit card on file (trouble begins)

6) You put the credit card on their system ( you are now trapped!!)

7) You will try calling them a day or two before to confirm the pickup and get the driver details ( Real hard to get them connected. After lot of attempts they will give you the driver details may be a day before the pickup. But driver will not answer that number.)

8) On the day of pickup you will try calling all your contacts. The initial rep , Sonic customer care , Driver.. But no one will answer your call. If some one answers, they will just say there is a small delay and they will update you in half hour or so.. (THEY DIDNT SHOW UP ON THE PICKUP DATE AND DID NOT EVEN CALL ME)

9) Next day morning they will call you and tell that the truck broke down. But they have managed to find another driver and a truck. But the new driver is charging $250 more.

Now it is the 11th hour and I am left with no other option.

10) If you say you don't need their service now, they say they will charge you a cancellation fee of $200. (TRAP COMPLETE)

I don't know how this company got lot of positive reviews. Deciding to move my car with Sonic was a worst decision. It damaged my whole day with the unpleasant conversation I had with their reps over the phone.

PLEASE MOVE WITH COMPANIES WHICH YOUR FRIENDS ALREADY MOVED WITH AND HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH

DO NOT JUST GO BY THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. (Just like I did )

Sonic was excellent in moving my car from Michigan to Florida. My representative Tim and his team ensured that I understood the process from start to finish. Tim's experience and excellent communication ensured a successful move. We had an issue with the driver of the delivery vehiclenot informing me of a delay and the Sonic team persevered and talked me through their efforts to get in touch with the driver. Ultimately, the vehicle was delivered in great shape and on budget. If I need to move another vehicle, I will definitely reach out to Sonic! Thanks Tim.

This is a very competitive business and after contacting many brokers (they are all brokers) I finally felt I had found the Diamond in the rough. Kate w/Sonic was honest, timely, communicative and efficient. She worked tirelessly for days and days to find a transport service that would work within my budget and timeline to get my truck from Tampa to Phoenix.. and she came through! The driver that picked up my 4runner was personable, professional and after he back my 4runner on the transport truck, he put up my window shades.. and I didn’t even ask him to! 5 stars for Kate and for the transport driver! Trust you vehicle to Kate and Sonic. You’ll be glad you did! And no I didn’t get paid to write this! But I WILL be posting this across multiple platforms!

I hired this company to move my vehicle from Mi to Fl. They gave me a price of $1075 and said they would pick it up in 4 days. They lied. They, on THE DAY they were to pick it up, came back with a price of $2800. Then $1700. Two to three times their original price! As I had no choice I had to agree as I had to have my vehicle. I then never heard from them again. After countless! phone calls to them they state the transport truck now has transmission problems. Two more days go by. THEY NEVER CALL. We call them over and over. They never communicate. I spoke with Tim once when he called with the ridiculous new price, and he was a complete jerk. Now we have no vehicle and no time to hire others. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. All these groups are just brokers who lie to you to get your commitment and then change everything. Just an awful group who could care less about your predicament or your needs. It is all about their needs. Horrible Horrible experience. Both Tim and Karen cannot tell the truth and are just awful people. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!

BE VERY AWARE. I HAVE REPORTED THIS COMPANY TO THE BBB. THEIR BBB rating is a C-. I wish I would have researched this company first. Do not use this company.....They are a SCAM. I called and spoke with Luke Howard on May 1st. I explained I needed to transport my sons car to from FL to WV as he has to be out of the university dorm on May 4th. He assured me for $585.00 they would pick up the car on the 3rd no later than the 4th. I gave Luke my credit card information and he said he would run it for$185 and the other $400 has to be paid to the driver in cash so he wouldn't have to pay taxes. That should have been my first red flag.

Luke told me one of his drivers would call me two days before to scheduled pick up. No one called and I had to keep calling them and he assured me the driver would call.

I got a call three hours before the pickup was scheduled and was told they cancelled the pick up because they changed their route. Luke then called me and said I can have another driver there in two days and the price will be double. I told him I would drive the car myself as I needed it there by the 4th.

Look then texted me and would not take my calling telling me he will be charging my card (which he did) for $200 as per the contract. Saying they had a five day window to pick up the car.

When you see this company name run.

Service cost: $550

Booked 2 cars to ship from NJ to AZ. Contract signed about 1 month before the shipping date and per contract they were to find drivers within 5 days. They delayed this to 1 day before shipping and asked for $500 more putting me in corner. I declined and cancelled with them and booked with another company. Tina Ramos (broker) sent a truck to pick up my cars (unbeknownst to me and after I cancelled with her) and once I realized this was the wrong company, the driver declined to release the car he already loaded onto the truck. I had to call the police since Tina Ramos wouldn't let the driver release the car. She later charged me with $300 cancellation fee! Ridiculous. I would have given a zero rating if there was one available.

Terrible company. Do NOT recommend. They quoted a fake price and then they wanted over $600 more than the original quote to actually schedule a driver. Even after that, the driver then never came to pick up the car, and Sonic Auto still wants to charge me a $200 fee because it was 'out of their control'. Turns out the driver wasn't even insured! Outrageous! This company has no ethics.

I called a week in advance to schedule a car pickup, but Sonic Auto didn't schedule a driver until the day of pickup, but I was assured that the driver would be coming that day or the day after. Immediately after scheduling, I contacted the driver directly to confirm that they were indeed coming that day, but the driver told me that they weren't coming until several days later! I then tried to call Sonic's 24/7 support line to inform them of this, but they told me that no one would follow-up or support me in any way until the next day. Since I wasn't sure if maybe Sonic Auto gave me the wrong driver info and I didn't want to miss the pickup, I waited for a driver anyway, but they never came! What a waste of time!

This company deceived me multiple times in the process just to sign me on! I talked to JEREMY in management, and he was very rude and unhelpful! He said that a $200 fee still applies for cancellation even though the first driver never came because they went ahead and scheduled another driver without my consent for a day I already told them wouldn't work for me. I wish I could give this company ZERO STARS for a thoroughly TERRIBLE experience! Stay far away from this DECEPTIVE company!

I used Sonic Auto Transport initially because they had a much lower price than the completion . In fact, I was told that I wouldn’t be able to find a transporter to deliver my F150 at the price I needed. Not only did SAT deliver on their word, they delivered much better customer service than I could’ve imagined. Rep Albert took the time daily to follow up with me on the status of my car and even indicated the level of insurance for each driver. I couldn’t be more impressed with the service of SAT and especially with their rep Albert. Thanks!

So I choose sonic to transport my sons car to him. My son is in the Coast Guard and Levi said there would be a discount. He came back at $410. Not the highest but also not the lowest. So I signed a contract, not 10 minutes later he called: Leslie the cost has gone up to $800. Needless to say I was very upset that he lied and said it was my fault because I needed the car delivered over night. NOT TRUE.So he gave me another discount of 120. But it was still money my son didn't have. After working with him for over a week I was done, just get my sons car to him. I will pay the difference so my son will never see that this company was trying to screwed him out of his money.

Bottom Line if you are on this website looking for transport and you come across Sonic back out and run.

The best thing that came out of this was the drive that picked up my sons car. David Fielitz "Landing Zone Logistics LLC" he was beyond empathy and reproach. He understood and took care of bussiness.

Long history of taking advantage of people. The tactic is to call you last minute and tell you they have found someone but you have to pay more. They raised the quote from 495. To 650.00 and wanted 250.00 deposit before the driver arrived. When the driver showed up his 5th wheel trailer was to wide for my 71 Opel GT the driver apologized and there was no charge for the effort. But Albert Bryant says he has to keep the 250.00 deposit for a "dry run fee" if they are professionals then they would know a Opel GT is a small car like a austin Healy or MG. But they are not professional they are hacks. This guy lies every chance he gets and they are all in on it. Their BBB rating is in the toliet just like Alberts morals. He is more then willing to find me another contractor but that would require another deposit. Don't do it. Don't fall for their BS

I had a terrible experience with Sonic Transport and do not recommend their services due to their deceptive practices. Here’s what happened:

I booked to have my son’s car transported from Dacula, GA, to Pecos, TX, with Sonic Transport on May 8th for a quoted price of $735. The agreement included a pickup date of Thursday, May 16th, with delivery expected on Sunday. Despite confirming that this was a locked-in price with no hidden fees, as stated by the agent Paul, I encountered significant issues.

First, the company did not reach out to me as promised. I had to call them on May 16th to inquire about the status. During this call, I was informed that the price had increased to $1,350 due to carriers not having enough loads to make the run. This was a stark contrast to the initial assurance that the price was fixed unless there were specific conditions like mechanical failure, inclement weather, the carrier’s schedule, or Acts of God—none of which occurred.

The company’s terms and conditions clearly state that the price of transportation is based on recent shipments on similar routes and that the price might change only under the aforementioned conditions. Their FAQ section also emphasizes that the quote is all-inclusive, covering all fees, taxes, and insurance, and guarantees no unexpected price changes. Despite these guarantees, Sonic Transport attempted to increase the agreed-upon price on the day of pickup.

I signed the contract on May 8th with the price of $735 confirmed. To have the price suddenly hiked up to $1,350 on the pickup day is unacceptable and deceptive.

I highly do not recommend Sonic Transport due to their dishonest and unprofessional behavior. Their practices are misleading, and their customer service is poor. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a reliable transport company.
