Ship a Car Direct

Previously I used two different companies to ship cars. Both of them required upfront full payments. This time I chose Ship-A-Car-Direct because its good rating but still worries about the process as the pickup date approached and not getting a committed carrier. I paid only the deposit when the car was picked up then pay the rest upon delivery. My impress with this company is its prompt response to my emails or calls and its follow up once I received the car. Overall, a good customer service and a good and nice carrier.

Service cost: $1225

I had a very smooth experience with using Ship A Car Direct to broker transport of a vehicle from Savannah, GA, to Seattle, WA. I dealt with Eve, and they were able to arrange a reliable transporter, Coastal Auto Transport. The driver was good about communicating, and he was extremely polite. Plus, the shipment time was quick as a bonus. Ship A Car Direct has a good website and they were responsive when I had questions.

It was a positive experience, as I was extremely worried about shipping my vehicle cross country. I would use them again if I had to ship another vehicle.

I sent an SUV from Maryland to St Louis. Ship a Car Direct let me have an estimate before I put in personal info. I signed up easily, and they set a price that they knew would get a quick response from carrier. The first carrier was supposed to come the next day, but they had to cancel because of mechanical problems. Ship a Car Direct put it up again, and the next carrier (Dinito Transport) shipped it four days later (they had some mechanical problems too). The car arrived two days later, and the driver waited around my daughter’s schedule. Ship a Car Direct monitored the whole process closely.

I'm glad I used this company to transport my cars. From submitting the initial RFQ to booking a carrier, the experience was painless and support from the staff was awesome. Special shout out to Jennifer. She was very patience and followed up with my order multiple times. She found a carrier on the promised date but I had to change it due to other priorities so I requested a change of daters. She was very patient and reassured me throughout the process that it should be ok. Sure enough, she came through for me and was able to locate another carrier within 24 hours. With so much on our minds and many things to coordinate during our interstate move, selecting this company to help us transport our cars proved to be a life saver. My brother in law will be moving to Irvine next year and there's no doubt I would recommend him to use this company as well.

I have had to worse experience ever with this company. As a frequent vehicle shipper I am appalled by the lack of communication. I was originally supposed to ship on the 12th then they missed the mark and said they would be able to ship on the 15th. No one contacted me I just kept calling until someone gave me an answer. I’ve been promised call backs and no one ever called. This is my last time dealing with them and I will be letting all my military friends and family know to be aware of this company.

I contacted Ship A Car Direct to ship my car from Cleveland, OH to Fremont, CA during June 25-28. They promised that I would get a car in the first week of July. They told me that I will be contacted few days before the carrier pick my car. David tried to help me find a partner carrier to ship my car since I had a certain date to fly with my cat one at a time. He called me to let me know about the update. My car was picked up on June 28 with few hours later than the estimated time. I got my car on July 2 as promised. The carrier driver contacted me via phone and text. My car got a bit dirty from dust but there is no damage issue.

I was pleased to get my car on time since my moving stuff hadn’t shown up. I can drive my car to buy essential stuff for living. I would ship my car with them again.

I had to move my daughter's car from Orlando to Austin and the whole experience was very easy and my car was delivered on the specific day I had asked for. Their quote was among the cheapest I found, even with paying a 5% surcharge for paying with a credit card (instead of cash on delivery). The whole process of booking was very straight-forward with no hidden costs. The customer service representative kept me posted about everything as the process moved along. Though the driver was not super communicative or proactive, he did respond promptly back every time I got in touch with him with a specific query/question. The car arrived in one piece on the day promised.
