Ship a Car Direct

As a first time shipper, I really liked the videos the company has available to explain the process and what to expect. It allowed me to ask more detailed questions. Matt explained the process and kept me informed along the way. I felt like my car would be in good hands and also didn’t feel the need to follow up with the driver because Matt and team would. I was concerned because the driver did not pick up my car on the day scheduled (through no fault of his) but the customer service text line was very useful and gave immediate responses. The driver picked my car up the next morning and still delivered on the day they said they would. I was nervous though because it was delivered at night and it was hard to inspect the car. Everything was fine the next morning - my car was in the exact same condition I left it in.

I contacted Ship A Car Direct about a month prior to our move from CA to MA. They kept periodic communication with me, informing me of what to expect every week as we were approaching pick up date. Carrier assigned was highly experienced, and he was able to work out with me final pick up and delivery dates and times. Every time I contacted Ship A Car Direct via email, phone, or chat, they responded quickly and always answered my questions. This was a great experience, and I would highly recommend Ship A Car Direct to others.

Decided to purchase a car site unseen from Anaheim, California and have it shipped to Las Vegas, Nevada.  Tom at Ship A Car Direct kept in constant touch with me throughout the process.  Once the carrier was assign and a date was scheduled, all I had to do was wait for my vehicle to arrive.  It arrived on the same day that it was picked up in California.  Car was in perfect condition when it arrived.  Driver was friendly and professional.  Will definitely use this company again for my auto transportation needs.

Like many, this was my first time (likely only) to ship a vehicle. I purchased a car in LA and needed it shipped to me in Franklin, TN. I found Ship A Car Direct via web searches and saw the favorable reviews and decided to use them. I was very pleased with how well they communicated with me and between their website FAQ and communication directly with my contact (Scott) I was comfortable with the process. After evaluating several transport companies to move our two cars due to a relocation from Minnesota to Florida, and getting multiple bids for the transport of the two vehicles we selected Ship A Car Direct, based upon online reviews from multiple locations.

I made the final contract decision to move forward with Ship A Car Direct about two weeks prior to the desired pickup time window. The actual carrier was selected about 4 days prior to the pick up date, which was a few days before we were to move out of our home, which was a hard end date for pickup.

The cars were then delivered to Florida in good shape about 9 days after pickup. The delivery date was targeted to coincide with when we would be in Florida ourselves, so that we would be around for delivery, as we did not leave Minnesota until about 4 days after pickup.

Note that the price quoted here for the review of $1,850 was for both cars total, not per car.

I would not hesitate to use Ship A Car Direct, or the selected transport company again in the future. Communications both via e-mail and phone were proactive, always courteous and prompt. I appreciate the videos that Ship A Car Direct has on their web site, which were helpful to explain the transport process. In addition, the mobile application that Ship A Car Direct provides to take photos of the vehicles both at pickup and at delivery, made the photographic documentation of the condition of the cars at both locations very easy.

Communication was great. They found a carrier for my car in 4 days. From day of availability to delivery was 6 days. I feel this was a very reasonable timeframe. They gave me contact information for the carrier (TN Transportation Inc. Prefer), and communication from the carrier was excellent also. The move went well and the car was delivered without any damage. The car was moved from Connecticut to Ohio. I would definitely recommend Ship a Car Direct and would use them again if the need arises.

My car was flooded in Tropical Storm Harvey. I bought a used car on Car Gurus. I used Ship A Car Direct to ship the car from FL to TX. Matt with Ship A Car Direct had excellent communication and found an enclosed carrier the next day but the notary didn't get the paperwork to the dealership until a day later. Ship A Car Direct had to find a different enclosed carrier. The carrier picked up the car on a Monday and delivered the car on Saturday morning with no issues. Car Gurus and Ship A Car Direct have been a great way to buy a car online and get a good deal even with the shipping cost.

We used Ship a Car Direct last May to ship a car from San Diego to South Florida, everything went as they said it would with pickup and delivery within a day of target and without incident. Based on that experience we used them again to ship an SUV from San Diego to Atlanta in May 2018 and again that went off entirely as planned. They only ask for a small deposit and you pay the bulk to the driver upon delivery and inspection. Both times the driver's that they contracted for us were clean and professional. They get back to you immediately via email or phone and will walk you through each step of the process. Should we need to ship a car again we would certainly use this service.

Previously I used two different companies to ship cars. Both of them required upfront full payments. This time I chose Ship-A-Car-Direct because its good rating but still worries about the process as the pickup date approached and not getting a committed carrier. I paid only the deposit when the car was picked up then pay the rest upon delivery. My impress with this company is its prompt response to my emails or calls and its follow up once I received the car. Overall, a good customer service and a good and nice carrier.

I had a very smooth experience with using Ship A Car Direct to broker transport of a vehicle from Savannah, GA, to Seattle, WA. I dealt with Eve, and they were able to arrange a reliable transporter, Coastal Auto Transport. The driver was good about communicating, and he was extremely polite. Plus, the shipment time was quick as a bonus. Ship A Car Direct has a good website and they were responsive when I had questions.

It was a positive experience, as I was extremely worried about shipping my vehicle cross country. I would use them again if I had to ship another vehicle.

I sent an SUV from Maryland to St Louis. Ship a Car Direct let me have an estimate before I put in personal info. I signed up easily, and they set a price that they knew would get a quick response from carrier. The first carrier was supposed to come the next day, but they had to cancel because of mechanical problems. Ship a Car Direct put it up again, and the next carrier (Dinito Transport) shipped it four days later (they had some mechanical problems too). The car arrived two days later, and the driver waited around my daughter’s schedule. Ship a Car Direct monitored the whole process closely.

There are a lot of sketchy shippers out there who want a cash deposit to get you the last spot on a transporter that is leaving soon. I am really happy we found Ship A Car Direct. A no pressure shipping agent that reviews shippers' insurance, driving records, and other performance factors. They got a us a very fair price to send my car to my daughter in California. They were on-time, actually a little early, on both ends of the delivery. The deposit was refundable until the car got on transport truck. Everything confirmed in writing. I highly recommend them.

I'm glad I used this company to transport my cars. From submitting the initial RFQ to booking a carrier, the experience was painless and support from the staff was awesome. Special shout out to Jennifer. She was very patience and followed up with my order multiple times. She found a carrier on the promised date but I had to change it due to other priorities so I requested a change of daters. She was very patient and reassured me throughout the process that it should be ok. Sure enough, she came through for me and was able to locate another carrier within 24 hours. With so much on our minds and many things to coordinate during our interstate move, selecting this company to help us transport our cars proved to be a life saver. My brother in law will be moving to Irvine next year and there's no doubt I would recommend him to use this company as well.

I have had to worse experience ever with this company. As a frequent vehicle shipper I am appalled by the lack of communication. I was originally supposed to ship on the 12th then they missed the mark and said they would be able to ship on the 15th. No one contacted me I just kept calling until someone gave me an answer. I’ve been promised call backs and no one ever called. This is my last time dealing with them and I will be letting all my military friends and family know to be aware of this company.

I contacted Ship A Car Direct to ship my car from Cleveland, OH to Fremont, CA during June 25-28. They promised that I would get a car in the first week of July. They told me that I will be contacted few days before the carrier pick my car. David tried to help me find a partner carrier to ship my car since I had a certain date to fly with my cat one at a time. He called me to let me know about the update. My car was picked up on June 28 with few hours later than the estimated time. I got my car on July 2 as promised. The carrier driver contacted me via phone and text. My car got a bit dirty from dust but there is no damage issue.

I was pleased to get my car on time since my moving stuff hadn’t shown up. I can drive my car to buy essential stuff for living. I would ship my car with them again.

I had to move my daughter's car from Orlando to Austin and the whole experience was very easy and my car was delivered on the specific day I had asked for. Their quote was among the cheapest I found, even with paying a 5% surcharge for paying with a credit card (instead of cash on delivery). The whole process of booking was very straight-forward with no hidden costs. The customer service representative kept me posted about everything as the process moved along. Though the driver was not super communicative or proactive, he did respond promptly back every time I got in touch with him with a specific query/question. The car arrived in one piece on the day promised.
