Montway Auto Transport

Montway connected me with Falcon Transportation and the process was seamless. Driver kept us frequently updated. 2 days Co to CA was excellent service. Car was picked up as promised and delivered ahead of schedule. Driver Nick really went out his way to find convenient pick up and drop off locations. Price was very good and competitive. I actually called Montway to arrange for pick up 1 week earlier than planned and company were very accommodating and found me a driver to haul my car to CA within 24 hours.

Great dispatchers provided great communications regarding the pickup and delivery of my vehicle. The delivery time was quoted as
pickup in CA on the11th and delivery by the 16th or 17th to my doorstep in PA. The driver called me 48 hours after pickup to say he would be at my home in a few hours. These guys got here fast and did an excellent job handling my car. The carried was actually fully enclosed even though I did not specify that service. Perhaps the brand new Rolls Royce Phantom with a sticker price of $362,000 heading to Miami had something to do with that. Overall great service, very professional, these guys know what they are doing!

In short: I've shipped a few vehicles across country in open and closed transport, and I've dealt with headaches of delays and communication and paperwork issues. I'm happy to say that Montway knocked it out of the park every step of the way. They were not the cheapest, but they were *far* from being the most expensive.

Montway handled everything with exactly the kind of professionalism and courtesy that you would expect from a company shipping a high value car across the USA. The driver was just as courteous as the people in dispatch, their website was super simple to use to request the quote and make the reservation, and their email notification system was on point.

The driver picked up exactly when he said he would, and was earlier than the estimated time--he communicated a few times throughout the trip and that was much appreciated.

All in all, 5 stars, I will use Montway again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a fair and honest closed transportation.

Good communication with Montway. THe contracted driver/company was Skypoint Transit. The driver John was really good. Called daily and let me know progress and he was all around a great person. Car arrived is great condition and John even ran the car on his trailer through a car wash since he drove through allot of snow on the way. Communication with Montway was very good as well. Emails sent every few days to let me know of the progress of getting a driver. They were also very helpful when I called them for further information.

Montway customer service is completely lacking and unprofessional, especially for the price. Upon the day my car was to be picked up, I received a call saying I was lucky because Montway found a driver that could pick up my car that day for transport (I would hope so since that's the day I scheduled over a month in advance). However, it was not a fully enclosed trailer that I ordered (I paid an additional $400 for this option for a grand total of $1850). They did say they could give me a $200 discount for my trouble. I said I wasn't interested, especially since I could have paid $400 less for this exact service and that a $200 discount is not a good deal. The man on the line actually got mad at me. He said I was lucky to get this option since only 20% of trailers are fully enclosed and my pickup location was "remote" (remote being a city of over 80,000 people on a major highway, but 2.5 hrs away from a metropolis). Funny how this info didn't come up when I was booking. Calm and clear I asked when the truck I ordered over a month ago would be arriving. He said he will have to work on it and it would hopefully be within the next 7 days. Really? So let's get this straight, I scheduled an enclosed trailer to pick up my car on a specific date in advance and there was no trouble then, but now I get attitude for a costly service and my car couldn't be picked up on time? Why didn't this get scheduled sooner instead of the day of pick up?

As for the trucking company, the driver was very nice and the trailer was great. I was disappointed that my scheduled delivery time of 6-8 days changed to 12 days at the time of pickup, but I will blame Montway for not giving me accurate info. The driver did have an issue with his truck so delivery was a day and a half late, but I received the car exactly as I had left it. I am so happy I decided to get a fully enclosed trailer!!
