Unethical, does not honor their quotes.

Montway is an unethical business. They engage in bait-and-switch tactics in which they entice you with a low bid, then refuse to honor the bid and instead demand more money. They gave me a bid that I accepted, then demanded additional funds, and unilaterally canceled the contract when I requested that they honor their bid. Their bids cannot be trusted as they will not honor them.

Long-distance move from Simpsonville, SC to Chandler, AZ

Employee stole & damaged Ferrari.

Contacted this company to ship a Ferrari. They replied a few days later saying it was going to be $100 more but assured me they would take care of my car. The day the car was picked up I get a call from the police. The office saw my Ferrari sitting in an apartment complex with plates belonging to a dodge truck. The employee came out from his apartment and denied driving it. The police ran the plates through their traffic camera system and saw the car being driven around. Called the owner of the transport company who said "He was on a boat and that the car was at his warehouse and couldn't have been driven." A day later he calls and says "it's been driven 20 miles". I kept asking where my car was and he told me he didn't know. Every time I called to ask nobody knew where my car was. Car shows up a day later than promised and with 46 additional miles. To top it off the car has a scratches on the drivers door. Company refused to do anything but reimburse the shipping costs. AVOID this company at all costs. They are a scam!

Car shipment.

Speaking with Montway staff itself was not the most pleasant experience. Very unprofessional and terrible communication. Once the carrier was located, it was smooth sailing from there. The truck driver was very professional, communicated well, and seemed to be quite the expert and professional. I've used this company before and the first time the experience was amazing, not so much this time.

Solid experience from start to finish.

Montway moved a vehicle for us from MD to CO several weeks ago. Their agents were friendly and helpful, making sure we understood the process from when we gave the go-ahead to when we received delivery of our vehicle at the other end. They provided the flexibility we needed, were responsive, and have been helpful in resolving a small issue that happened in transport. We are very pleased with the service and would certainly use Montway again.

Great Experience.

Montway Auto Transport had the best pricing out of all the places I contacted for my move. The agents on the phone were very friendly and helped me a lot choosing a time period for shipping. The truck company and driver Brady that my auto shipping was contracted out to was very professional and great to work with. Communication was great! I was recommended this company by a friend and would recommend them to others.

Transport Honda Accord from MA to MN.

We were very happy using Montway Auto Transport. After requesting the service they kept us up to date as to the Pickup date which was within the 5 day window they advertised. The car was picked up in Western Massachusetts Wednesday July 1 evening and delivered in Minneapolis midday July 3rd in perfect condition. Everyone associated with Montway were courteous, professional and performed exactly as advertised. We would unhesitatingly use Montway Auto Transport again. 5+ stars.

Perfect Auto Transport Experience.

I recently moved from Santa Cruz, California to San Diego, California and needed to ship a car. This was the first time I ever shipped a car. I originally chose a different auto transport company (not Montway) because they were a bit less cost. However, as the date to move got closer the company never found a carrier to transport my car. I called Montway and they lined up a carrier for me in a matter of days. The car was transported quickly, on time, and with no problems. Montway really came through when I needed it. Overall, an excellent experience.

Montway Auto Transport did a fantastic job for me. I was unaware of the company when I purchased an old Corvette that needed to be brought to me. That company was giving me the run around and delays. I then saw an ad for Montway, called them and they had a driver for me in a couple of days, who brought the car to me promptly, under a car cover, and for less money! They were great!

Bait & Switch.

Based upon good online reviews of Montway, I had them move my car from CT to NC. Based upon my experience with Montway, I now describe their strategy as one of "bait and switch": Initially, they get your business by matching other competitive bids. After picking up the car, they give you an estimated time when it'll be delivered. I heard nothing until we were a few days before the final delivery date. Like most customers, I needed my car. That's when the calls start. The first call explained that this is a very busy time and the drivers wanted an extra $100. I refused. A day later, another call explaining that my destination was off the beaten path and drivers want more ($75). Again, I refused but said I'd pay an extra $50. To no one's surprise they called the next day having found a driver for the extra $50. Absolutely would not trust these guys. I now think their online reviews may not be legit. Then, there was damage to my car and immediately Montway makes it abundantly clear they have nothing to do with claims. Contact the carrier. Totally useless during the claim process despite very different claims during the sales process.

I Wish They Moved More Than Just Cars - 100% Perfect!

I've moved around a lot in my life, and have my share of

"Moving Companies From HELL" stories, the WORST being New City Movers out of Nebraska. These people are THIEVES, who over-charged me, double-dipped and ripped me off, AND broke and misplaced my belongings.

This was an out of state move, which I will now contrast with Montway. They said they would have my car picked up on the morning of May 11th. I was told that it would take a few days to get down to the Outer Banks, so that was fine. We closed on our purchase on May 15th.

At 7:00 am on the dot, this amazing man pulls up with a transport truck. Professional and personable, in less than ten minutes, the gentleman had my car loaded onto the top tier, and off he went.

I was contacted in the evening to say that the car was in Oak Island already. While I knew I was able to have the car brought to the house I was buying, my Realtor was nice enough to take delivery to her home, right off of a main road, so no hiccups there.

Turan Transport was the subcontractor, up and down the Eastern seaboard in the NYC tristate area. I'd give this man a TEN if I could!

If moving companies operated like Montway Auto Transport, there wouldn't be so many "Movers From HELL" stories out there!

Use Montway, definitely. Stay AWAY from New City Movers, who I've reported to the BBB, for starters!!

Communication failure after communication failure

Attempted to schedule a transport with Montway. They called me after several days to tell me they couldn't provide the closed transport I requested. I looked elsewhere and found a carrier. Days later I received a charge from Montway without them contacting me or requesting authorization! I called them (they did not reach out to me) and they informed me they decided they could transport my vehicle as requested. Now they want to charge me a cancellation fee for charging my account without authorization after telling me they did no have a transport available. Communication failure after communication failure dealing with them. Avoid the hassle even if they seem like a good price...

AWFUL COMPANY

AWFUL COMPANY. Not only was my quote changed from an agreed upon $1,609 to $1,849, but the service was consistently terrible. DO NOT choose their service. The delivery of my truck, which was estimated from 7-10 days, took 16 days to get here!!! Communication was minimal and updates were unreliable. I was told a snow storm delayed delivery in a state where there was no reported storm. On top of that, when the truck arrived, it was already off of the moving truck. Someone came driving my truck from another state, adding over 50 miles to the vehicle in the process. I would NOT recommend this service to anyone.

I would have given 5 stars, but our vehicle was picked up a couple of days later than expected, but arrived at our destination 2 days later. Timothy Hoist was the driver and he called us the night before delivery to tell us what time he would arrive. He delivered our vehicle promptly and was very professional and courteous.
