Montway Auto Transport

We were a little hesitant in sending our truck through one of these auto transport companies after what happened to us last time. (Car was delivered late at night and couldn't see the damage til the next day and company NEVER got in touch with us after numerous phone calls. There was a HUGE dent in the top of our car) Well I did A LOT of research before choosing MOntway and boy am I glad we did! It couldn't of gone more perfectly then it did. Thank you so much for providing such great service and being super professional. .

Very good communication, very fast phone response. The only thing I am upset about is the delayed pickup, since I asked a friend for pickup so he was not very happy about it. But I can understand it was hard to execute very detail of the original plan. Scheduled pickup date is Friday, acutal is Saturday midnight. Very surprisingly got delivered on time in my opinion, got the car on Sunday 10:00 pm, surprisingly fast. Car is in good shape, for a first time auto shipper I am satisfied with their service. Especially compared to other companies they offer the least expensive quote. My friend mistakenly offered the truck driver the rest of the cash when pickup, the truck driver refused that and said cash will be collected at delivery. Very honest and professional. If their price is as competitive as this time, I will definitely use their service again.

I used Montway as the broker (I used them before and had a good experience). Their quote was a little on the high side when compared to other companies, but I thought since I had experience with them before I would use them again. They were quick and easy to deal with, they found me a company to ship my car within 24 hours. The company, Dirt Racing Motor Sports, though was so-so. The pick-up driver was very nice and I trusted my vehicle with him, the driver that dropped it off however was nothing but rude. He called me about an hour before he would be near the drop off location to tell me to have someone meet him at a different location than what we had arranged. He didn’t ask, he didn’t put in a friendly manner, he point blank stated he was going to a location chosen by him. Well to keep this review as short as possible, the driver was very rude (he also made several false statements about the arranged location) and I would not ship or recommend DRMS to anyone. I probably would give Montway 1 more chance.

Montway was very helpful with both online chat as well as contacting customer service over the phone. I inquired if lower rates than the standard published rates were available and was told that I could offer a lower price/bid and would have to see if any of their contract carriers would accept the transport at my requested rate.  Montway stayed in touch with me via email while I waited for a week to have my bid accepted. Once it was agreed upon, the pick up was scheduled and I was given contact information for the transport company/driver. From this point on, everything went as scheduled. My vehicle showed up in the same condition coming off the transporter as it was when it was loaded - unharmed and a bit dirtier from the cross-country trip. Overall, everything went as planned and I would use and recommend Montway Auto Transport for vehicle transportation needs.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service and price.  I would definitely use Montway again.   The car was actually picked up early.  Montway called and said they had a truck in the vicinity and asked if they could pick up the vehicle two days earlier than originally scheduled.  I told them that it was fine (actually more convenient for me too). They said great and that the driver would be there within the hour and he was. The driver very carefully inspected the vehicle and was very precise in loading the vehicle onto the truck.   The car arrived in New York a few hours later than I had expected, but then again, that is perfectly reasonable considering the area where the car had to be delivered (no one gets here on time—East end of Long Island).     The transport truck was really large and the driver called me from two blocks away because the local streets were not designed for very large trucks. I do think he might have been able to navigate the streets, but I appreciated his cautiousness.  That cautiousness was also evident in the way he handled the car.    The car arrived in perfect shape, although I would, in the future, pay the extra to ship on top as some oil leaked from one of the upper vehicles.  That was easily cleaned up.   So, yes, I am very pleased with the pick-up, transport, and delivery of the vehicle and I would use Montway again.  And, the price was right.

As is always the case with these transports it is difficult to pin down a precise time for pick up and delivery. Nature of the beast.
Our car was delivered in a reasonable time frame and undamaged, but created a major inconvenience trying to arrange a person to accept the drop off because the time frame didn't allow for us to be on both ends of the transport.

I don't quite know how this happened but they got my car from NY to Las Vegas in about 4 days.  Insanely happy they worked with my to get my pickup on time and delivery super fast.  No damage either.  Paid about 1400 total but well worth it.  My driver worker with me to pickup on Saturday, the first day of the window since I was leaving sunday.  had some stuff in the backseat/trunk.  Didnt charge me extra.  Had the car to me early Wednesday with me expecting it Friday.  Really good driver. .

For my wife's 60th birthday we had been looking for a new car - for 5 months!  Finally figured out the exact car she wanted, the price we wanted (cash only), and could only find it all the way across the country. So - first time using an auto transport company.  It was suprisingly easy!  Montway was super easy to work with and always responsive to my calls.  It arrived last night - I met the truck 5 minutes away at a shopping center parking lot.  The transaction took 5 minutes and I had the car in hand!  Thanks Montway - you made what could be a stressful transaction super easy and stress free!

We had a great experience with Montway, whom we connected with through U-Ship.com. Specifically, their staff were proactive and pleasant with communication, and shipping occured quickly and without incident. I will further detail our experience below. 
This was our first time shipping a car cross-country (from New Orleans, LA to Washington, DC). Family members gifted a used car to us, and we were unable to make the drive ourselves. 
We placed the order on Wednesday evening. By Thursday morning, Montway reached out to me via email and phone to confirm our details and process our order. When I called them to confirm the details, their staff were very friendly and helpful. They outlined how the process worked, what to expect next, and answered all of my questions. 
Next, the driver reached out to us by phone on Thursday evening, explaining that he would be available to pick up the car on Friday. He anticipated that the street our family lived on would be too narrow to get his truck down, and worked with us to find a better location for both of us. Saturday night, he contact us to tell us to expect delivery on Sunday. He reached out once more on Sunday mid-route with another update. Again, he anticipated that the street we lived on would be too narrow to support his truck, so we met a location that was 5 minutes from our house. 
The communication with us was great. They reached out to us in a variety of mediums, the frequency of communication was good, and everyone we interacted with was pleasant. 
The shipping occured quickly and without incident; the condition of the car was the same as when we put it on the truck. 
I would consider Montway for future shipping needs. .

Overall, a satisfying experience.
The pickup was delayed by a day however they still adhered to the delivery time.
Frank who spoke to me inititally didn't make himself available once I made the initial payment even though there was a delay in pickup time that was committed to me. I tried calling him multiple times and left quite a few messages.
No damages / scratches to my car.
Driver who came to deliver the car was very impatient and showed a lot of resistance when I requested him to wait for 10-15 min so that I can withdraw cash from nearest ATM.

I had made my arrangements for the pickup and wanted to pay all up front. The salesman said I would be getting an e-mail to confirm my order.
I never received the e-mail. I then received a call from Montway stating the car was being picked up that day. They had the payment information wrong. They promptly corrected it.
The driver was right on time and very professional. He delivered the car a day early, wjich my daughter was extatic about.
I would DEFINITELY recommend this company.

This was my first experience having to find a shipping company to transport a vehicle. The whole industry is broker based and in that regard, there are no 'guarantees' as to timing and pricing but Montway was the most professional among all companies I had contacted. 
Montway is accurate with their pricing. While the price may still fluctuate from the quote and in my case it did slightly (by 60 dollars), this company does not 'bait and switch' clients as other shipping broker routinely do.  They will not lure you in with a rate that sounds too good to pass up, only to raise it by hundreds of dollars later. They do their best to give an accurate quote upfront and their communication from scheduling to delivery is excellent. The driver was on time and he communicated very well, there were no surprises.
Out of the sea of brokers that control this business, Montway is the only one I would trust with any future auto shipping.

Montway did a good job of transporting my car from the NW to the Midwest. As promised, they gave me a call to discuss what timeframe I would like my car to be picked up and delivered within and accordingly set me up with a third party auto transport carrier that was operating in that route in the timeframe that I had specified.

Montway did mention that I could load up to 100 lbs in my car that will be transported at no additional cost. However, the truck driver (third party auto transport company) was not too happy about this and asked me to pay $50 extra. He was a great guy otherwise and I wanted this done in time and smoothly so I did not argue with him and simply agreed to pay the extra $50 upon delivery of the car. Received the car within 5 days after pickup.

TIP: Make sure you save the cellphone number of the truck driver on your phone. This helps in coordinating the pickup and delivery.

I used Montway as my broker because of the on line reviews I read, and because for eveey negative review the owner responded with a reason, or a solution  They also knew what price to set the shipping at, so that a company would pick up the route rigbt away. Once I made rhe commitment to use them a company picked uo the route in less than 2 hours  Montway made sure  i had the drivers contact  info, and I received updates throughout the whole process. The company that pucked up the vehicle was UFC transport, and everything worked out great. I probably had 5 phone conversations with the driver, and was never worried about the transport. I will definitely use Montway again.
