Montway Auto Transport

Update: Montway has called and apologized and is resolving the problem. It is with the shipper KB Transportation they said. They are returning my money and investigating. Thank you!

I'm going to make a long story short as I'm exhausted by this experience. My car never showed up on the day it was to arrive. Never got a call from anyone. I finally called and found out my classic convertible is sitting in a storage lot in a less than desirable area. When asked when it will be delivered, I was told "when I get a chance in a few days" Montway did not help or care. I got a car trailer, drove 2 hours (each way) to get my car. And of course, it was..cash or no car upon arrival. Just stay away from this company.

I've previously wrote a negative review based on my experience with the company. Within a day Montway customer service management reached out to me and sincerely apologized for all the inconvenience during the transport of my vehicle. She made me aware that I was in contact with a different transport company that picked up my vehicle NOT Montway. She kindly compensated me for my inconvenience. Not only am I accepting their honest and sincere apology but I'm giving them a second chance. I will be shipping my second vehicle with Montway next month. It truly means allot to me when a company takes time and read their customers reviews and to make sure their customers are always satisfied. I will definitely recommend to all Soldiers to use MONTWAY INC.

We shipped a 2002 Saturn from Chicago's Northwest suburbs, to Fairfield, California. We were extremely surprised by the outstanding customer service Montway provided. Once the vehicle was on a truck, Ali, with Knightrider, kept us updated. On the day before delivery we were given a 4-hour delivery window. About 3 hours before delivery we were given a 2-hour window. Everything we were told would happen actually happened; this is so unusual these days. We would recommend Montway,and Knightrider to anyone needing to transport a vehicle across county.

Montway was very communicative in helping pick a specific destination that would be convenient for us and the driver and save $$  on their quote. They are very familiar with the Manheim auction procedures, so once they had the requisite information, there was nothing else for me to do. The specific carrier they chose was courteous and very each to reach, and kept us informed throughout the process so we knew exactly when to expect the car 
This is the second time I have used Montway in the past 2.5 years, and I will likely choose them for every such move in the future. .

We were a little hesitant in sending our truck through one of these auto transport companies after what happened to us last time. (Car was delivered late at night and couldn't see the damage til the next day and company NEVER got in touch with us after numerous phone calls. There was a HUGE dent in the top of our car) Well I did A LOT of research before choosing MOntway and boy am I glad we did! It couldn't of gone more perfectly then it did. Thank you so much for providing such great service and being super professional. .

Very good communication, very fast phone response. The only thing I am upset about is the delayed pickup, since I asked a friend for pickup so he was not very happy about it. But I can understand it was hard to execute very detail of the original plan. Scheduled pickup date is Friday, acutal is Saturday midnight. Very surprisingly got delivered on time in my opinion, got the car on Sunday 10:00 pm, surprisingly fast. Car is in good shape, for a first time auto shipper I am satisfied with their service. Especially compared to other companies they offer the least expensive quote. My friend mistakenly offered the truck driver the rest of the cash when pickup, the truck driver refused that and said cash will be collected at delivery. Very honest and professional. If their price is as competitive as this time, I will definitely use their service again.

I used Montway as the broker (I used them before and had a good experience). Their quote was a little on the high side when compared to other companies, but I thought since I had experience with them before I would use them again. They were quick and easy to deal with, they found me a company to ship my car within 24 hours. The company, Dirt Racing Motor Sports, though was so-so. The pick-up driver was very nice and I trusted my vehicle with him, the driver that dropped it off however was nothing but rude. He called me about an hour before he would be near the drop off location to tell me to have someone meet him at a different location than what we had arranged. He didn’t ask, he didn’t put in a friendly manner, he point blank stated he was going to a location chosen by him. Well to keep this review as short as possible, the driver was very rude (he also made several false statements about the arranged location) and I would not ship or recommend DRMS to anyone. I probably would give Montway 1 more chance.

Montway was very helpful with both online chat as well as contacting customer service over the phone. I inquired if lower rates than the standard published rates were available and was told that I could offer a lower price/bid and would have to see if any of their contract carriers would accept the transport at my requested rate.  Montway stayed in touch with me via email while I waited for a week to have my bid accepted. Once it was agreed upon, the pick up was scheduled and I was given contact information for the transport company/driver. From this point on, everything went as scheduled. My vehicle showed up in the same condition coming off the transporter as it was when it was loaded - unharmed and a bit dirtier from the cross-country trip. Overall, everything went as planned and I would use and recommend Montway Auto Transport for vehicle transportation needs.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service and price.  I would definitely use Montway again.   The car was actually picked up early.  Montway called and said they had a truck in the vicinity and asked if they could pick up the vehicle two days earlier than originally scheduled.  I told them that it was fine (actually more convenient for me too). They said great and that the driver would be there within the hour and he was. The driver very carefully inspected the vehicle and was very precise in loading the vehicle onto the truck.   The car arrived in New York a few hours later than I had expected, but then again, that is perfectly reasonable considering the area where the car had to be delivered (no one gets here on time—East end of Long Island).     The transport truck was really large and the driver called me from two blocks away because the local streets were not designed for very large trucks. I do think he might have been able to navigate the streets, but I appreciated his cautiousness.  That cautiousness was also evident in the way he handled the car.    The car arrived in perfect shape, although I would, in the future, pay the extra to ship on top as some oil leaked from one of the upper vehicles.  That was easily cleaned up.   So, yes, I am very pleased with the pick-up, transport, and delivery of the vehicle and I would use Montway again.  And, the price was right.

Pick up was very quick.  Price was very reasonable.  Great communication from the dispatchers, driver, and email.  I will definitely use Montway again in the future! Thanks for the great experiance!  I had planned on flying out one way and driving back.  Money-wise it was right at the same price, but I didn't have to put 900 miles on a car I was unfamiliar with and take 2 days out of my schedule.  Not saying my time is worth a ton, but the price of convenience was WELL worth it!

Overall very good experience with Montway.
They contracted A1 Trans for the actual moving of my car.  The price did go up $100 in order to get it shipped within my timeframe, but they were very upfront about it.
 
My car was almost brand new and in perfect condition.  It got moved across the country and honestly it wasn't that dirty upon receipt, and only two tiny scratches.  (Small, still in the clearcoat and waxed/buffed out)  I honestly think that much or more would've happened driving it myself.
Delivery was very quick and earlier than expected.  Zero complaints from me.

Follow up prior to car pick up was very good. Car driver pick up was on time and all scheduling from start to finish was excellent. Not a single complaint. Price was in line with competitor and there were no other hidden charges. All personnel were professional and courteous from beginning to end of process. Order taker and expediter were factual and knowledgeable of service and customer service. Dispatcher was courteous and returned all phone calls promptly. Driver was on time, professional and courteous. He returned phone calls promptly and kept to his schedule. Overall great experience.

This experience was amazing from beginning to end, very professional and friendly. Moving across state and in an extremely "stressed out" state, I had a lot of questions. Everyone I spoke with during this process was so patient and attentive. When they were to pick up my vehicle, they called the day before to let me know they were coming the following morning. Delivery was earlier than expected which was a nice surprise. I sincerely recommend anyone looking to transport your car, hire this company- they are truly 5 star in all aspects.

We had a great experience with Montway, whom we connected with through U-Ship.com. Specifically, their staff were proactive and pleasant with communication, and shipping occured quickly and without incident. I will further detail our experience below. 
This was our first time shipping a car cross-country (from New Orleans, LA to Washington, DC). Family members gifted a used car to us, and we were unable to make the drive ourselves. 
We placed the order on Wednesday evening. By Thursday morning, Montway reached out to me via email and phone to confirm our details and process our order. When I called them to confirm the details, their staff were very friendly and helpful. They outlined how the process worked, what to expect next, and answered all of my questions. 
Next, the driver reached out to us by phone on Thursday evening, explaining that he would be available to pick up the car on Friday. He anticipated that the street our family lived on would be too narrow to get his truck down, and worked with us to find a better location for both of us. Saturday night, he contact us to tell us to expect delivery on Sunday. He reached out once more on Sunday mid-route with another update. Again, he anticipated that the street we lived on would be too narrow to support his truck, so we met a location that was 5 minutes from our house. 
The communication with us was great. They reached out to us in a variety of mediums, the frequency of communication was good, and everyone we interacted with was pleasant. 
The shipping occured quickly and without incident; the condition of the car was the same as when we put it on the truck. 
I would consider Montway for future shipping needs. .
