I had extremely large and very heavy display cases delivered to my store — each one weighing well over 300–400 pounds. From start to finish, the service was excellent. The gentlemen were professional, careful, and handled everything A to Z. They wrapped and protected each piece, delivered everything safely, unwrapped the cases, and set them up exactly where needed.

They were very caring and gentle with my items despite the size and weight, which really impressed me. I am very happy with the company and their service and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, professional movers.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2987

Will never be using them again. Was told at the start that they are not a broker (i.e. they use their own company vans, movers are their own people, etc.) and all costs are upfront (aka no hidden fees). When the movers arrived (from a company called Ideal Moving and Storage), I learn that X Van Lines is in fact a broker, but at that point I couldn't do anything as I needed to have my things moved. The movers then asked for further fees (which I fought to have taken off, such as the Premium Package fee since I did all the packing myself). It was difficult to communicate my frustrations with the movers as they spoke limited to no English.

When preparing for the movers to arrive, the team at X Van Lines called two days before and was told the movers would be arriving between 8-9 AM. However, the movers reached out the morning of pick-up to inform me that they were arriving between 10-11 AM. They did not arrive until 11:50 AM.

Something similar happened for drop-off as well. I was informed by the team at X Van Lines that they would be arriving between 6-7 PM. Instead, the movers (the same ones at pick up) reached out in the afternoon of that day that they would be arriving between 8-9 PM, only to arrive at 10:30 PM.

Upon delivery of items and after I've had a chance to go through my things, there were multiple damaged/broken items and pieces missing to putting certain pieces of furniture back together. At one point, I noticed a few items missing and had to remind the movers to double-check the truck.

I've filed a claims form for damages and losses (see photos for examples), and am waiting to hear back on next steps. Based on what I have been experiencing and also reading from others' experiences, I expect that process will be difficult. Take note that if the claims do go through, the agreement is that they will only cover 60 CENTS per pound per item. If you want more coverage, it is likely that the original estimate/payments for the move would be higher.

Multiple instances of empty and/or false promises. Impatient customer service agents. Customer often gets blamed for things and gas lighted a LOT.

The one star I am giving this company is purely for Linda at X Van Lines. She was the most helpful agent I've had the pleasure of working with (was very patient and understanding with me and truly helped me as much as possible). Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to work with her only for one day.

My fiancé originally was quoted $1800 from the Broker(Zenith Moving group), to move our 1 bedroom of items, sent XVanlines on 5/15/26 they arrived in Houston in a shuttle and loaded everything quickly, now I did add about 4 box’s and three trash bags of cloths, to avoid the stair fee cause I stayed in a tri level apt. I moved every thing in the home (boxes bed loveseat etc.) but the T.V.’s (left so they could confirm they worked as the last move a 70inch was completely destroyed by a local mover, lesson learned) to the garage/ground floor, even though this was done the new price was now $3200 dollars. Some how my furniture now has been put on a 18-wheeler with a single driver, the driver was very aggressively informing us we would be required to pay a $450 shuttle fee because a 18-wheeler could not come on my new street, I do not use profanity so It was disappointing to hear a diver using such language in general conversation (we only wanted to know why he was saying that we would inquire yet another fee for a shuttle when our items were originally picked up in a shuttle, so I told him we would not pay that he then informed us he would take our items to a warehouse in MD. We had been in a apt. for 15 days without furniture and my fiancé was upset, I had spoke with my apartment and they confirmed a 18-wheeler could deliver there, I also called Department of Transportation and Environmental svcs. and spoke to several analysts (Roswell Williams) who confirmed their were no restrictions on my street for a 18-wheeler on my street, I spoke with police and I confirmed their was not one sign saying no trucks, lastly I took photos of several 18-wheeler trucks going up and down the street, I then called the driver (same day) and told him to deliver the items we would pay the fee, he hung up on us again so I called and spoke with a manager and he said the driver had said we never told him to deliver the items, he assured me the aggressive driver would not be delivering the items (which I had figured out by then he couldn’t he was the only one in the truck), on 5/31/26 the following day the shuttle (with 3 movers) delivered the furniture and unloaded everything in a little over a hour and were gone, I did sign the paperwork “signed under protest’ and paid the $450, The 1800 to 3200 I guess I’m good with but a $100 Chair(was dropped off of the truck and leg completely broken)was damaged so in my claim I requested the $100 for the chair and the $450 because I shouldn’t have to pay for a shuttle with extra movers because a truck clearly had no restrictions on my street, they sent over a Settlement for $75 dollars which I refused to sign.

• When initially agreeing to use XVan Lines to move my household goods, the total price was $7,800. At the pre-moving conversation, a week prior to the move the price increased to $11,000 and when the movers arrived the price increased to $14,410.

• I asked and was re-assured that they would provide a weight ticket, only to have the movers communicate no-one communicated to them to get a weigh ticket.

• My house move-in date changed from the initial date. When I communicated the change of delivery date to XVan Lines, I was assured this would not be a problem. Then I was called a week prior to the initial delivery date saying the goods were set to be dropped off and told from XVan lines no one had record of my communication with them about the change in date, even though I was assured multiple times from employees that the change in delivery date would be no problem.

• Multiple items were severely damaged on the move, such as my dryer which the top was disconnected from the dryer; dining room table which we cannot use the leaf or extend the table due to the damage; along with many other items. When providing all documentation for damages and compensation, the company offered to pay $75.00.

• When attempting to communicate with Xan Line representatives, I would consistently be told I would receive calls back but constantly would not get a call or communication back. I asked to talk with managers about my experiences but would not get a contact back. When asking representatives why they didn’t call me back, often the responses were that they were busy or sorry that they had forgot. I have 8 different documented instances where I was either hung up on or did not receive a phone call back from the company.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $14410

I too was quoted a reasonable price, $9,000 and felt confident with my representative who did a FaceTime review of my home and belongings that needed to be included in the move. I was quoted a price that was fair, not the cheapest, but felt comfortable with X Van lines after reading good reviews. I even received a call from a new customer service agent who said he’d be working with me on the move, he even forwarded me tips on making the move so I felt really good about my decision in selecting X Vanlines 30 days in advance. I was told I’d get a call from X Vanlines 3 days prior to my move.

To my surprise the call was NOT quality control, but an effort to increase my cost for the move. The representative stated they give lower cost on the front end as to not scare of customers. This representative stated that the amount I was moving was greater than the amount of the original inventory even though we had sold off furniture that was in the first review. He stated the move required additional $2,000 due to the increased volume. I did not agree and he stated that X Van lines would only move the stated volume. Which I agreed since I had less furniture than originally quoted.

I had scheduled my move 1 month in advance for a Monday. I received a call Monday evening stating the movers would be at my home the next day, Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon at 4pm I received a call from the movers telling me it was too late to start and promised they would be there 8am in the morning, Wednesday. They finally showed up at 10:30am and the driver did an inventory and stated there was more than the original quote. At this point there was nothing I could do since I had already closed on the sale of my residence and paid $3,000 in advance for the move a month earlier. So I had to pay an additional $1,900 for the move which included $3,800 as the 2nd of 3 payments. Whilst the movers were packing and loading, the truck was left running. Around 1pm the truck was gone, half packed; I asked the movers who remained where was the truck. They stated the driver had to get fuel for the truck with it half loaded. Unbelievable!

They completed the loading at 9:30pm. Very nice and respectable moving personnel. The driver asked when would be the earliest delivery date; I said Friday since we would depart for the new home on Thursday and the driver noted that on my receipt.

They finally delivered our belongings on Tuesday, again not arriving until 10:30am in a different truck. Therefore, they unloaded all of our belongings from 1 truck and reloaded it into another truck. Needless to say, a lot of our belongs were damaged or broken; I.e. dented refrigerator, several broken picture frames, washing machine knobs broken at the switch, lost hardware for disassembled desks and damaged wood on bedroom furniture.

Had to pay cash or Postal money order $4,100 before they would unload.

Never heard from my representative again.

I would not use X Vanlines again and advise all from using this company to move your belongings.

Our move with X Van Lines was a complete disaster. The company engaged in a series of deceptive practices, including bait-and-switch tactics, exorbitant charges, and a complete lack of communication.

From the get-go, representatives Mitch and Chris promised a smooth move with their own dedicated team. They assured us they would be available every step of the way. However, on the actual moving day, both Mitch and Chris were mysteriously unreachable. Calls went unanswered, and emails remain unreturned to this day. This left us stranded with a crew of movers who spoke little to no English, making communication nearly impossible. It felt deliberately orchestrated to avoid any questions or concerns about the discrepancies from our initial agreement.

The move itself was a chaotic mess. The promised dedicated team vanished, replaced by third-party contractors who lacked professionalism. The pricing we were quoted ballooned significantly, leaving us with a final bill far exceeding our expectations. To top it all off, several essential items were missing, and numerous pieces of furniture, including irreplaceable family heirlooms from my great-grandmother, were damaged.

When we finally reached out to X Van Lines about these issues, their response was insulting. They offered a measly $200 discount in exchange for signing a "good faith agreement" that would silence us from leaving negative reviews or pursuing legal action. This further exposes their lack of integrity and willingness to exploit customers.

Save yourself the stress and heartache. Avoid X Van Lines at all costs. Choose a reputable moving company that prioritizes clear communication, customer service, and the safe handling of your belongings.

My wife and I used X Vanlines for a move from MD to FL. We got free storage for 36 days, a great initial price from Mike who beat a competitor price by $1000. The initial price was $8892. The price changed after quality control Mitch inflated numbers and said we didn’t have all items on list. Mike failed to record all items. The pickup price changed again increasing to $12,100. These people are fraudulent deceitful scammers. They should not be in business.

They damaged multiple items. They lost items. They left half our items in Baltimore when delivery came and delayed the rest 2 weeks. We are in process of trying to get refund of $6500. They have yet to settle.

Moving to a new city on my own was stressful, but the movers were quite helpful throughout the process. They handled all of the packing and transporting, so I didn't have to worry about anything. I had some fragile goods and a couple hefty pieces of furniture, but they handled everything expertly. They arrived on schedule and finished faster than I anticipated, making the entire process stress-free. Starting over in a new place is difficult, but having such a smooth transition made things lot simpler!

They arrived fully prepared with packing materials and quickly started disassembling furniture, packing fragile items, and organizing our boxes. They even helped us decide what should be moved versus what could be stored, offering valuable advice throughout the day. The crew treated every item, large or small, with care and precision, ensuring everything fit perfectly into the new home. Their attention to detail and thoughtful approach made the entire process less overwhelming.

Recently we used X vanlines to move our Mother from Fresno California to Arizona where she was moving into an assisted living facility. We were told that our timing was perfect as they had a customer in Sacramento with their furniture going to Phoenix AZ.

They would pickup in Sacramento then to us in Fresno and then onto Arizona. They told us that they would deliver on the outside the 8th or 9th of July. The pickup was fine with the exception of asking for more money for wrapping our furniture. After they left I never received a copy of any of the documents I had to sign. After 3 weeks of being lied to as to the whereabouts of my Mother's furniture and demanding to know where it was I was told in their storage units in Sacramento . At this point I flew to Sacramento rented a truck and loaded all up and drove the 14 hours to Arizona.

I was lied to, I was hit up for more money, and after all I received no apology . I would never recommend this company NEVER

Xvanlines is a shameless company that will keep your deposit for services not rendered, even if you are unable move, served for 24 years & 100% disabled naval veteran!

After trying to work with this company through many phone calls and emails, only to receive the runaround for three weeks. Then, finally, my wife was sent a rude and abrasive email stating that she should read the contract you signed (You only have 3 days to try to cancel once you sign and it’s only good for a year btw)!

Sad to have served almost a quarter of my life for a country that has businesses who would choose to take advantage of people. When they could set a new and better standard vs the “Industry standard” that they are content with doing. The bare minimum for their “valued customers”.

I would think that a company would want to work with customers that chose them in the first place and keep them for the long haul instead of screwing them over with abrasive and underhanded tactics.

My advice to anyone looking to move is to inquire about the companies cancelation terms.
