I had a really good experience overall with Wheatland Van Lines. The crew showed up professional, friendly, and ready to work. You can tell they had experience because they handled everything carefully and stayed organized throughout the entire move. They wrapped the furniture properly, protected fragile items, and worked hard the whole day without wasting time.

There were some small delays in the morning with the arrival time, which was a little stressful at first, but the office stayed in communication with me and kept me updated, so I appreciated that. Once the crew arrived, everything started moving smoothly and they made up for lost time quickly. The movers were respectful, careful inside the house, and made sure not to damage walls, floors, or doorways during the move.

What I liked most was the attitude of the crew. Everyone was polite and easy to work with, even during the heavier and more difficult items. They listened to instructions, asked questions when needed, and made sure furniture was placed exactly where I wanted it at the new location. Nothing was rushed and they still managed to finish the move efficiently.

Pricing was fair compared to other quotes I received, and the final cost was reasonable for the amount of work involved. Overall, I’m happy I chose Wheatland Van Lines and would definitely use them again for another move. I would also recommend them to anyone looking for hardworking movers and solid customer service.

An 18-wheeler was sent to deliver the few items (a queen bed, a bookshelf, and a tv stand. They knew it was just a few items, had the community address and realized after getting to the site that an 18-wheeler would not fit. I was charged an extra $200. They lost the bolts to the bed, and damaged the tv stand. The company sent one driver who is also the mover and the assembler, said he was too exhausted and ran out of time couldn’t put the bed together because the person at the other end lost the bolts and other parts. He said call the number and file a claim. I received a text message from his boss today with a claim link and telling me to contact the BBB. Really?! He actually wants me to contact the Better Business Bureau and report this company…that pretty much says it all.

These Wheatland guys deserve serious credit — that armoire in the photos was no joke. It was extremely heavy and awkward to maneuver, yet they handled it like true professionals. They wrapped it carefully, lifted it with precision, and navigated tight steps and corners without a single scratch or complaint.

You can tell they’ve got experience — everything from the prep work to the truck loading was done efficiently and safely. Even the large equipment and furniture were positioned perfectly inside the truck, showing real attention to detail.

If you need movers who can handle the toughest items with care and confidence, I’d highly recommend this crew. Reliable, hardworking, and professional from start to finish.

I recently moved from Kansas City up to Winona, Minnesota to be closer to my family. After reading a lot of reviews, I chose Wheatland because they had an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

The movers were polite, patient, and very careful. One young man used a dolly and padding to take my heavy cabinet down the outdoor steps. He didn’t rush, and he made sure nothing got scratched or bumped. You could tell they take pride in doing things the right way.

The delivery came later in the evening than expected, but they kept me informed and even called ahead to be sure I was ready for them. Everything arrived in perfect shape.

Moving at my age isn’t easy, but these fellows made it so much less stressful.

Very professional and conscientious. They are hard workers. I kept them fed and hydrated and tipped them at the end for an excellent job moving all my things.

Hands down best moving company ever. Owner to the entire staff you have at your place from the online website experience, speaking on the phone with customer service, the email and text communication all the way to the end with you following up for my feedback.

This is my 3rd move with Wheatland Van Lines. I would recommend your moving company to anyone I know. You must have great company owners who care about the employees. A great company starts at the top with effective leaders.

The three gentlemen who moved my belongings were friendly, but very professional and took the care not to damage anything. They offered to and cheerfully assisted me in finishing my packing, as I was doing this move completely on my own. One safe was particularly large and extremely heavy, yet they handled it through narrow hallways and doors with ease and care. And on top of everything, the cost was actually more reasonable than I expected. Every other moving company I checked with were much more costly. I highly recommend this company for your moving needs.

I needed to move apartments and had a last minute move in date that required me to find movers a week in advance. They were able to get me the time slot and day I wanted no problem! The day of the move, they showed up 20 min early which was great to get a head start. I was thinking it would take them most of the morning but they were able to move all my furniture out and into my new apartment right at 2 hours. They were also extremely pleasant and had great attitudes about the whole move. I felt bad as I didn't reserve the loading dock early enough for the move but they were able to adapt and did not even complain. They are really reasonably priced and I would definitely use them again for any future move!

They arrived on time, loaded and unloaded everything in less time than was estimated. This included going up one flight of stairs as the elevator in the building was too small for them to use. Excellent workers and very courteous! Also, the estimate was turned around very quickly after I emailed a list of what would be moved.

Note: used them a second time! Still just as quick and professional as the last time. Wheatland Van Lines will definitely be my go to moving service.

This past summer, when faced with a cross-state relocation, I decided to entrust Wheatland Van Lines with the monumental task, and I’m incredibly glad I did.

From my very first interaction, their team was professional and transparent. The quote I received from their sales representative was detailed and comprehensive, covering all potential costs without any hidden surprises – a significant relief after hearing horror stories from friends about other movers.

On moving day, the crew arrived promptly, a well-oiled machine of efficiency and courtesy. They meticulously wrapped and protected every piece of furniture, handled delicate items with surprising care, and loaded everything onto the truck with an impressive speed that didn't compromise safety. What truly stood out was their communication; I received regular updates on my shipment's progress, which eased a lot of the usual 'where's my stuff?

When they delivered to my new home, the same level of professionalism was evident. They unloaded carefully, placing boxes and furniture exactly where I requested, showing patience and a positive attitude even on a sweltering afternoon. While moving will never be entirely stress-free, Wheatland Van Lines genuinely made the process as smooth and manageable as it could possibly be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable and conscientious moving partner.

Moving is definitely one of the hardest things to do and it takes too much time and effort, I searched online for a moving company to do my move and found WVL and contacted them. The person in the office was very polite and told me all the details and gave me a quote. Their prices were very reasonable and best in the area. Other thing which made me go with them is that they didn't require large deposit only about 10-15%, most of other companies wanted about 30-40% downpayment. So I hired them for our move from Minneapolis to Phoenix Az. Three men came for my move Justin(foreman) Alex and Dave. As they reach my home they start working without any delay. Guys handled my furniture and all glass pieces very carefully as if it were their own. I am very happy!

The contract was signed on 8/22/2023 and the mover had scheduled pickup between 10/9 and 10/11. They called on 10/5/2023 to schedule move on 10/7/2023. When I told them that was not possible because I would be out of town, they kept moving pickup between 10/9/2023 and 10/11/2023. They finally picked up on 10/10/2023. The mover knew that pickup was to be from an apartment but sent a huge semi-truck with just the driver that could not enter the apartment complex. I was forced to pay an additional $280 charge for 'long carry' and stairs over and above their 'binding estimate'.

They again sent a 18-wheeler semi-truck to make delivery on 10/25/2023. This resulted in another 'long carry' charge of $200.

The driver was discourteous. Alex the Dispatcher was rude; Mark Greene, who had been so responsive prior to payment, never returned repeated calls and emails asking for his help and intervention.

I believe that this mover scams people by quoting a 'low' binding estimate and then finds new ways to squeeze extra payments from customers. The delivery driver threatened to leave my effects on the sidewalk when I protested the 'long carry' fee upon delivery.

Don't trust this company! Matt Greene, Dustin, and Alex are all in on the bait and switch for long-term moves. Matt sells you on price and 5-7 day delivery. The moving day price goes way up and Matt can't be reached and you are vulnerable to the predators Alex and Dustin the truck driver. They quote you a price and tell you it's all their own crew but then you get a contractor from Mayflower and a tweaker from Craigslist. The delivery date of 5-7 days suddenly changes when you sign the paperwork at midnight because they show up late. then you receive no communication from them regarding your delivery date which was changed without your knowledge. My delivery went from $5600 - $9300 and a week extra on the delivery.
