Would recommend.

I was lucky enough to book these guys without a ton of notice. They were timely, worked quickly and very reasonably priced. It was a hot day so in all honesty if they took some breaks I would have understood but they were continually working. When you are paying by the hour that was nice to see. Would recommend.

Great job!!

They hauled two pianos for us...a baby grand and a huge upright. They were great! They were very careful with the pianos as well as our hardwood floors. Well worth every penny. We will call again if we ever have a piano move and we will definitely recommend them to others. Great job!!

They’re super fast! Efficient and even packed things for me that I had gotten to pack. Disassembled and reassembled my kids bed and easily moved heavy furniture. It was a really quick and easy experience. No complaints!!! I’ll use them in the future for sure

Made this move easier than expected

As someone who has moved at least 20 times in 45 years, I should be equipped to handle moves. It really does not get easier. The stress invariably creeps in. I was in a full-on panic when I was two weeks from my move date and still had not finalized my moving plans. From the moment we spoke with the representatives at Wheatland Van Lines, I knew we were in good hands. Their all-inclusive pricing was beyond fair, and very competitive against their competitors. I self-packed, but the team made sure to protect all of my furniture and secured all my fragile items.

Choosing Wheatland Van Lines for my long-distance move, which included a period of 30 days of free storage, was a good decision. They worked well with and for me through a number of date changes. When I ended up relocating to a smaller home than initially anticipated, Wheatland was able to help me move some of my belongings to a nearby storage. I was very satisfied with consultations, packing, storage, delivery, the professionalism of crew, and courtesies extended. All in all, Wheatland made this move easier than expected for me

Move from Rochester MN to Santa Fe NM

Initial interaction with Wheatland was very positive - and helpful. Then came the day of the move - actually the day before the move. Even though we had agreed to a pick-up date for Saturday, the dispatcher called and asked to move it up a day to Friday. We said we wouldn't be ready until at least 200 pm on Friday - and they agreed. They called back about 2 hours later and said that the driver would be there in the morning on Friday - and he pretty much insisted that the pick-up time be moved to the morning. So we had to rush to get the final packing done so that we would be ready for the morning pick-up. Once the movers showed up it was obvious that this was NOT a Wheatland mover but a contractor - which was a disappointment because I didn't think that Wheatland was a broker - but they had brokered our move to another company. Loading went well - but then came the final estimate for the move - additional $800+ for fuel surcharge, elevator fee (daughter was in a 3 story apartment with and elevator), excessive distance for loading fee,.... All in all about $2000 more than we had expected. OK so let's just absorb that and move on. Unloading was relatively smooth, but not gentle. The contracted help that the moving contractor had contracted with to unload was in a rush - they had 3 or 4 other jobs that day. So they dropped boxes, stacked heavy boxes on top of boxes clearly marked FRAGILE DO NOT STACK, etc. Then there was the damage - broken shelves, broken lamp, scratched shelves, treadmill console with broken display (in a box that the mover packed); not to mention the missing box and missing shelves. Filed a claim - might get $0.60 on the pound, which won't be nearly enough to replace the lost/damaged items, but whatever. Conclusion - Even though the move was initially estimated at $6340 and the final cost was $9200, it was not the move I expected for the money. Having moved myself multiple times, plus a couple of "full-service" moves, this was my first experience with a "brokered" move. Didn't like it and won't do it again. Recommendation to others - be very clear when you ask questions up front about who will be handling your household goods and also upgrade the moving insurance coverage from what they are required to provide by law. Next time I might try Two Men and A Truck or just bite the bullet and go with North American Van Lines or something.

Inventory Discrepancies and Fraud.

My wife and I contracted Wheatland Van Lines to conduct our move from Omaha, NE to Valdese, Everything was going pretty well with our point of contact, Matt Greene, he provided us an approximate estimate of just over $3,000. He explained everything to us. Then things immediately started to go wrong once we paid our initial deposit. On the day of our pickup, the driver showed up with a 26' rental truck. The team was there a total of 3 hours and didn't get much done. Inventory sheets were not complete and items were marked as carrier packed that were clearly packed by my wife in an effort to scam more money from us. We complained about the attempted fraud to the company with no response. Then no one showed up for the next two days. The company called us and asked if they could come in a full size 53' tractor trailer. We were told this would help the guys out. We agreed. A team showed up and began packing/loading again on the third day. We were never able to verify that the first load that was loaded into the 26' rental truck was on the 53' tractor trailer. Another inventory sheet was handed to us that appeared to be complete, but who really knows. We paid a "new estimate" of $9,000. Three times the original! Days later, our shipment shows up in Valdese at 5pm with little notice. The driver of the tractor trailer said he wasn't going to attempt getting the truck up our road. We ended up having to pay $1,400 (after negotiating and complaining) to have our property shuttled to our house. So, the driver decided he was going to unload the shuttle truck at 8:45 at night. We were unable to verify anything being unloaded because NOTHING matched inventory. I then walked down the driveway and I found beer cans outside the truck cab. Through this entire fiasco, we tried to get a supervisor to come out. Our phone calls were ignored by both Matt Greene and woman named Tina. The next day our inventory did not match what was coming off the truck and it was clearly evident boxes that we packed were repacked to inflate moving costs.
