We Move U

There are not enough words to describe how how upset, inconvenienced and hurt my husband and I are by this company. This was our very first time moving and having to use a moving company at that. When we first called we were excited everyone was really nice and explained everything up until we made that deposit and they had us as a customer.   After that we become the worst customer who they hate to deal with. everything changed, quotes went up etc. fine! We agreed that we will pay as we already made a deposit which we would have lost And was crunched with time to go finding another company. They changed our agreed moving date every single time and told us to read the contract next time. Okay we finally did not have a choice but to wait till the date they did say was our move date. The very last window day and the very last hour with only two men. We were so sorry for them. After so much driving to have two men move so much stuff The worst of it lots of missing items and damage and broken. We verified the truck and the driver said it was clear of all our items. The stuff remains were other customer. Now this is late evening at 5 with two tired men. They were not able to wait for us to check our boxes. Upon opening that night. It was devastating. After waiting so long and paying so much. All our sofa cushions missing, DVD player, our kids Wii and ps 4. A box of VS an bath n body works which I sell. A red cooler an iron table to name a few. Tried calling the driver which was like 30 mins after realizing no cushions I emailed the company. No response yet. please as consumers stay away from companies like this that treats you well enough to get you money and then don't even care after its like whatever. It was my worst experience ever. It was hard for us moving to another state in our new home to go through such horror.  .

My husband and I have lived in Bridgeport, Ct for 37 years and were considering to move to Florida to be closer to our grandchildren. We are avid antique collectors so you can imagine how nervous we were to even think about people we don't know moving our precious collections. We didn't know anyone that could refer a moving company to us but were telling us the terrible things they have heard about movers breaking things, losing boxes and stealing jewelry. We were petrified at the thought of finding as mover we could trust. I, reluctantly, put a quote request on the internet and within minutes received so many phone calls from moving companies from everywhere promising me the lowest price, the fastest service pressuring me to make a reservation and hurry to put a deposit or there probably wouldn't be a truck available if I waited, it was overwhelming. Then I got a call from Mike Holland with a moving company called "We Move You". I don't know, I just felt comfortable speaking with him about what I was thinking about bringing to Florida. We talked about my grandkids and about the weather in Florida..just no pressure at all. Mike explained that we would get a phone call a few days in advance before the movers would arrive (which we did) and what to expect on move day. I spoke with James, I think he was the dispatch manager, who assured me that we didn't have to worry about anything that he would make sure our move would go smoothly. It went fantastic! The movers showed up when they said they would, they protected all of our antiques, they took apart our bed and headboard, loaded everything very carefully on to the truck in a little more than 3 1/2 hours. I couldn't believe it.

I got a phone call from James a few days later telling me that the movers would be at my home, in Florida, in two days between 11:00am and 1:00pm. Sure enough, they showed up a little before 1:00. The guys went right to work asking what room would I like the boxes, which room would I like for them to set up the bed. Now believe me when I tell you, I was nervous about my antiques and I inspected every one as they took them off the truck. Not a scratch, nothing damaged, everything came off the truck as it went on, perfect. I was so relieved. Everything went exactly as Mike and James said. I bought the guys pizza and pop for doing such a great job and even gave them a $200 tip. They really deserved it. They took care of my furniture, my antiques and my high blood pressure.

I not only recommend "We Move You", I insist you call them first. They were not the cheapest quote we received (or the highest) but they were the best decision I made and I'm so happy I trusted them.

It was a pretty bumpy road relocating my mom from Pennsylvania to Arizona after my dad passed away. It was a very stressful situation and so I went online to start looking for a mover. Dozens of movers started calling me but one company caught my eye because they were so detailed with me regarding the whole moving process. That was We Move U. From Jack at sales; who initially booked my move; to James at customer service, they were all very helpful and patient with my mom and I so I want give special thanks to the We Move U team!

Choosing a moving company is pretty scary, don’t get me wrong. “It’s just stuff”, sure, but you’re basically trusting people you’ve never met with all of your material possessions, hoping they show up in one piece on the other side. I recently changed careers, and part of that transformation was wanting to move out of NY. I mean, I loved it, don’t get me wrong – but I was ready to start a new phase of my life. After securing a place outside of Washington, DC, I was referred to We Move U by a friend who’d used them to move to New York from Virginia Beach. I did have a bunch of stuff, but the quote I received was more than reasonable. My actual out-of-pocket cost was basically right on target with the quote; a pleasant surprise, to be honest.

Upon unpacking in Virginia, I found that even the more delicate items – I have some vacuum-tube amplifiers with many delicate glass components – were completely unharmed. The We Move U guys did a great job, considering the quality of the roads they had to navigate down I-95 to get to my new spot! If you’re moving in or out of the Tri-State area, I really have to recommend We Move U for your needs, whether they’re large or small.

Wonderful experience! The movers were punctual, courteous and pleasant. I was able to get all of my questions answered before the movers even arrived - which was a lot of questions seeing as this was our first large scale move and we were only half sure of what we were doing. The guys treated everything every item with care and attention. Moving is stressful in its self but once the We Move U guys arrived and took over the loading I definitely felt more at ease. Thank you, thank you!

Quick and easy and really polite. I had a lot of heavy items that I had a hard time getting out and they were so helpful. I never would of managed on my own and they were very kind and thoughtful of my furniture. It was packed quickly and with all of the items put in firmly. I was a bit worried about going so far but the way they put everything in kept all of my smaller items from jostling around and protected some of the more delicate wooden parts. I will definitly use them again.

Had a move from NY to fl. Won't get into too many specifics but just that they ask you to help with parking, watching your stuff while they leave it in street and harass you for tips, tips , tips. Really ridiculous, no joke, I offered them something and they said they usually get more, really crazy, never even heard of something like that. In short , be ready to work and be ready to tip, big time! Very unprofessional and rude, and intimidating( because they have your property).

I needed to move my elderly, sick mom (76 y.o. w/ stage 3 lung cancer and severe copd) from NJ to Indiana to be closer to me (her only child). I hired We Move U, Inc. They were delivering my Mom's stuff to a Senior Care center (Sunrise Senior living). On they day of delivery, they were told by Sunrise of the fire codes and guidelines for using the elevator. They did not like these rules and complained and argued with the staff that was unreasonable. The Sunrise Community never had a moving company ever have a problem with their guidelines before. Although these guidelines are non-negotiable, the movers (Sagar) said Sunrise was being unreasonable and refused to move my Mom's items. They threatened to drop off my Mom's belongings at a Storage facility because it was "too much work", despite the job being paid in full. We had to call the police and it was at that point only that the movers decided they actually had to do their job. Mind you, they also charged us on day of delivery a "long haul" fee for $75, which was never mentioned prior to our agreement. Anyway, after moving everything in, they tried to leave before reassembling my Mom's furniture, which was part of the agreement. We just let them leave because we wanted them gone. Having to call the police was the worst, but I could complain about many other issues. The job was quoted for $2900, but the "final" bill came to $6800. I understand that was an estimate, but the discrepancy is astronomical. I told them every piece of furniture, but I also told them I was unsure of the # of boxes that would be needed. The guy Jeff told me 20 was typical for an apt of my Mom's size. Apparently not. As if that wasn't enough, the movers on the NJ end told us that there was a "mandatory" 3% tip. I am an extremely generous tipper, but I don't like being told it's mandatory. Mind you, we were never told that a 3% tip was mandatory -in cash. We didn't have that kind of money on us in cash!! They did a horrible job packing. Didn't have enough furniture pads and dropped a wooden piece of my Mom's furniture (unprotected) on the concrete and acted like it was not a big deal. During unpacking, we discovered that the "This side Up" was pointless as everything was packed upside down and tons of stuff fell out of boxes and was in complete disarray. Overall horrible experience. I have no idea how this company has an A+ rating on this site. Extremely misleading and disappointing.

Every time I have moved up until now, I have done it by myself or conned some friends into helping me for a day or two. But the more times I've moved, the more stuff I've had (before it was just personal belongings and a few lamps). For this move I finally decided it was time to hire someone. I wasn't crazy about the idea, but I did it begrudgingly. We Move U met and surpassed all of my expectations! Great service, and it removed all of the hassle from the whole process.

After getting transferred to a new office for my job, I needed to move in a hurry. I was surprised when I called We Move U to learn about their very reasonable rates, and was even more elated when they could accommodate my moving schedule. Then, to top it off, they showed up on time, they were friendly, they helped me with last minute packing, and then they carefully placed my boxes in my new house in the exact rooms denoted on the labels..this was important to me because I could barely lift them to move them.

I definitely dreaded our first move. Not only was it our first, we moved to a completely different state. As a family of four, we've acquired A LOT of stuff over the years and this company exceeded our expectations and more. All of our stuff was well taken care of, moved quickly and efficiently, and they followed all of my requests. They definitely made this move so much easier than I thought and we will use this company again if there's another move in our future.

With this being my first big move out of state away from family. I was really worried about how I would get everything moved without putting a strain on my family members, and without my belongings getting damaged in any way. That is when I heard about We Move You. After reading the prior reviews, I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed, they were very professional. They made sure that everything was perfect which took a lot of stress off of my family, and I. They made sure every item arrived at my new residence just how it left my old one, and they were very quick with the delivery. Which was another worry of mine, hearing my friends stories about how other moving companies took awhile to deliver their belongings. If I ever have to move again, which I'm hoping that I don't especially to another state far away I will be using this company again.

My husband and I have moved several times during our marriage, spending forever packing and moving our things. We always had to rent a trailer to move all of our things, but it was really a strain on us to move all of our furniture ourselves. Now we have added to our family (a 3 year old son and one on the way) and with me being pregnant there was NO WAY I could help him load our growing household onto the truck. A friend suggested WeMoveU and we are VERY SATISFIED!

All of our belongings, including my delicate furniture and dishes, were moved quickly and safely to our new house. There was no hassle and every employee we dealt with was incredibly polite and understanding! There was no dreaded wait time, so we didn't spend days without all of our favorite things. HOPEFULLY we can stay in this location for a bit longer, but we will DEFINITELY use WeMoveU again for our future moves!

M. Wood-This company was a great one to do business with. They were respectful and caring when it came to taking care of the items and made sure everything was transported correctly and on time. I was sure something would be scratched or broken. However, everything arrived in perfect condition. Overall, they were very professional and assured me that they would take care of the job efficiently. They lived up to their word and not just met but went beyond my expectations!
