      STAY AWAY!!!!! SCAMMING MOVING COMPANY

      STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

      Let me start my saying this company is TRASH and a SCAM!!!!!! STAY AWAY BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!! I gave a deposit and was scheduled to have my belongings pick up on the 28th then got a call less than 24 hours later stating one of the guys got into a car accident and had to reschedule for next day……Next day came along, I was preparing for them to pick up my belongings and once again I got a call 30mins prior to my schedule time stating “the truck is having mechanical issues” and was told they would have to reschedule 2/3 days after. At this time, I’m outraged. They were supposed to call me back for a solution, NEVER got a call back. I called multiple times both Apex and Van lines of America and left VMs still no call back answer. The next day, I called back with still no answer. PLEASEEEE, do me and yourself a favor and do not go with this company. They are not liable and with very poor communication skills and UNPROFESSIONAL. NOW I have to call my bank to get my deposit back as they did not provide me the service. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!’

      The Worst, absolutely Criminal

      The only thing they got right was the address.... the only reason they got that right is cause they deal only in cash! Once they have that you are on your own. Nothing but delays, and stone-walling. When they did arrive thousands of dollars of stuff was broken or stolen. I won't say missing anymore, because when I called to work worth them ( maybe is was still in the warehouse maybe it was dropped off at another home), they blew me off to file a claim. and they never picked up my call again. All the stolen stuff was coin collections, collectables, autographed items.

      Its been a year and they still have not cut a check for the reimbursement. I have to take these "People" to court.

      I would ask 'how do they sleep at night', but I know it is very comfortably with all the stolen stuff.

      I do not write reviews. But if any person reads this and chooses not to go with Van Lines of America, then I will at least feel somewhat better about my experience. Everything is great during the quoting process. They promise they only use their movers and that it's a consistent team, etc. Should have realized when they showed up, one guy short, several hours late, that this was going to be awful. They proceeded to load the truck. By the time they finished, it was close to 9 pm and the foreman called me over and said that I was over the estimate and that they could either charge me an additional $7k, or I could pay him $4k to his personal account and that he would take the overage down to a small amount over the estimate. All of my belongings (I thought) were on the truck and it was 9 pm and I was leaving the next day. What was going to happen if I refused now that they had all my stuff? Well, I'm not sure whatever would have happened would actually have been worse, because I went out front to discover that several things were not on the truck and left in the driveway (including my Peloton). They were on their way and I was left scrambling to find a friend who would let me store…

      The company is the worst!

      Dealing with the one and only Sherry, the customer service is about the worst. Wouldn’t let me talk to a manager. Sherry also lied about the price. They charged us $300 more as ransom to get our car back. Sherry lying all the time telling us that it was a verbal agreement. That’s a lie. After finding out from the transporter, the price increase, Sherry did not answer her phone all afternoon. Very disappointed. Go somewhere else. The price she quoted wasn’t the price we’re paying.

      Terrible and Expensive SCAM

      Expensive, stressful experience from a terrible moving company with a scam insurance policy. We hired Van Lines of America for a move in September 2021.

      Despite getting a detailed quote for us, they arrived unprepared with an undersized truck and insufficient furniture protection to complete their “White glove Treatment” (which we paid an extra $800 for). We received no communications, no updates, and were constantly sent to voicemail when we called. Through multiple truck/warehouse transfers, they lost, damaged, and could not account for multiple pieces of furniture and items (sofa, office chairs, broken china, and missing boxes). After a couple months they randomly delivered the sofa and the piano- damaged; still not accounting for all of the other missing items!

      We were charged an extra $850 to a random third party for a destination fee – holding our items hostage at 7pm (a haphazard unloading that extended till 1am). Again, their lack of communication and logistical planning caused confusion because we were not told who the payment should be made out to – causing a last minute Zelle transfer that exceed our bank limit, so we had to do a second emergency Zelle transfer from…

      Unethical and Criminals

      Company misrepresented cost to store items for 30 days then agreed to pay 1/2 of overcharge and deliver furniture if I paid and signed a release waiver of any current and FUTURE complaints. Once I did so, they opened the truck and had stolen my leather couch, Master bedroom dresser and 2 rugs. They obviously knew this which is why they wanted a release signed. I have hired an attorney and think there should be a class action suit. Driver told me himself that EVERY delivery he has made in 3 months of working for company has had items missing!! They are criminals.

      they changed the price after they loaded my stuff then it took them 45 days to deliver and lost my train set that i had from when I was 3 I am now 67 and a box of electronic equipment jerked me around on the phone about the delivery after many call and getting its on the truck for weeks and never return your calls

      Finally a competent company..!

      I have been out of the country during the pandemic. And when it was time to come back I was freaking out about how I was going to get all my belongings I left with another friend half a state away. Thankfully Christina helped guide me through the process And they essentially had all my stuff delivered by the time I landed here. They made a very worrisome situation for me into a pleasant experience.. Thank you guys.!!

I do not write reviews. But if any person reads this and chooses not to go with Van Lines of America, then I will at least feel somewhat better about my experience. Everything is great during the quoting process. They proceeded to load the truck. All of my belongings (I thought) were on the truck and it was 9 pm and I was leaving the next day. What was going to happen if I refused now that they had all my stuff? Well, I'm not sure whatever would have happened would actually have been worse, because I went out front to discover that several things were not on the truck and left in the driveway (including my Peloton). They were on their way and I was left scrambling to find a friend who would let me store some items. Fast forward to delivery day, late in the day, and they showed up in an 18 wheeler that refused to pull up on my street. Why isn't this discussed at the time of estimate?! I live on a pretty normal street. This meant I could either be charged storage until they got another shuttle truck, or I could go rent a uhaul and they could load it in a church parking lot with a couple trips. I opted for the uHaul since it's not that much stuff. As they began unloading, and I was speaking with them, again it was clear these are not Van Lines employees, but contracted employees. I was noticing more and more broken or damaged things. I received things that belonged to other people (Van Lines never offered to come get them or have them shipped). They had to go back and search the truck for my TV which had been marked with someone else's name. Large plastic totes from Home Depot where shattered, with all the items inside broken. Items are missing (a/c unit, my bed, etc). It doesn't end there. They left late in the evening, and I filed a claim the next week. I was told they would adjust within the allotted 120 days. Between the extortion and damage, this was so egregious I contacted the BBB because no one answers the phone at Van Lines so figured it would get some replies. I received the snidest, most unprofessional responses via the BBB platform. I then received an email from their Claim administrator that they canceled their contract and they were no longer adjusting the claims. So I contacted the insurance carrier directly. Eventually I received another email from the claims provider that they re-instated the contract and would continue with the claim. No other correspondence followed until I just received a settlement offer of $116 to cover thousands of damage and missing items, not to mention extortion from their "employees".. Long story short, this is a garbage company, run by garbage people who will treat your belongings like garbage. I can only hope some other company treats each and every one of those criminals as they have treated me and others.

Worst move ever.

Would give negative starts if I could. Their estimate was off by $3000, I never knew where my items were for over a week, they were late delivering by 10 days. They lost and damaged items and wouldn't reimburse for them. I've moved a few times before and these crooks were the worst people I have ever had to deal with. Avoid them like the plague.

Poor service

Poor service and damaged furniture. I tried to get some kind of refund but no success. They didn't wear masks or gloves and basically put my stuff ALL over my house. Never once asked me where I wanted it. They broke my brand new mailbox and out door light. Terrible Terrible Terrible.. very poor customer service!

Amazing Mover!!

Bradley and Tom were our movers and got right to work. Both of them were super friendly, had a great work ethic, and kept a great attitude the entire time. They even assembled all the beds in the bedrooms too. Special care was taken by the crew going up the stairs. They covered the walls, door frame, and banisters which I appreciated. Recommended!

Use them again

It was 99 degrees out, and no complaints from any of them. They kept their masks on and only asked for a couple bottles of water. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and would use them again. They are indeed the best movers ever.
