Unlimited Moving

Unlimited Movers is just another scam moving company!! From the owners, Thomas Davidson and John Davidson, to the employees, Jake and “Pelli”.
I arranged the move with Jake and we agreed on a price for an entire truck to move my items directly from one state to another. This price was literally double the normal price, which was something I was willing to pay so I could have a truck with only my possessions and a direct drive from my pick up to my drop off.
When the mover, Pelli, arrived, he tried to uncharge me. I immediately called Jake and told him about this, he called Pelli to tell him not to uncharge me. When they were finished with the move, they tried to upcharge me because the items took more space in the truck than they expected. Again, I paid for a full truck to go direct so a few extra items shouldn’t matter. They argued with me for an hour and tried to convince me to sign a document which dictated some square footage limitation. I refused because that was not my agreement. They finally agreed to make the change but only after more than an hour of arguing so I missed my flight.
During the few days between the delivery and drop off, Jake swore there would be no more games so I trusted him.
I had a GPS device put inside my items which proves they made 3 stops between my pick up and drop off. I later confirmed with them that they had a pick up in Tampa, a delivery in DC, and another delivery in DE. All of this is contractor to my agreement.
When the truck came, they demanded the balance of payment before the truck was unloaded, which is clearly not fair because I don’t know what was damaged or what was removed. Jake refused to come to the phone to speak to me and when I got him on the phone, he immediately transferred me to another line so he could avoid his promises. The driver, Pelli, tried to get in the truck and drive off with my possessions but luckily I had time to park my car right in front and right behind his truck so he couldn’t leave, then I called the police. If he left, they would have stolen my items and held them hostage to charge me even more!
After I got to opening all of the boxes, I found 2 pieces of furniture damaged and 1 kitchen appliance broken. I have since tried to email and call but they are completely unresponsive.
These guys are very skilled at the art of deception and thievery. Jake is an outright liar, Pelli is a manipulator who will pretend to be your friend but then hit you with charges then pretend it out of his control, and this is the common practice for this company.
Im sure they are going to reply by saying that I signed a contract. They tried to get me to sign to less than what was in the truck so they can scam me at delivery. They had me sign under duress when they knew I had a plane to catch. They know exactly what game they are playing but the innocent customer gets shafted!
These guys should be closed by law enforcement for deceptive practices!

The owners, Thomas Davidson and John Davidson seem to have done this before with another company called Secure A Move, LLC. After their name was tarnished for deceptive practices, they closed that company and left all the innocent victims behind! Just look at the reviews for that company.
Stay far away from them!!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $6050

I choose this moving company based on reviews from this website and it ended up being an expensive mistake. Not only did the movers show up 3 hours late for pick up but they ended up delivering my stuff two weeks late!! On top of that they didn't mention that they would be sub-contracting the work out to another moving company. They also damaged my dryer and after multiple calls to them to file a claim I still have no response!! They had very poor communication while they were moving my belongings and they did not want to give me a discount on my move even though they showed up two weeks late!! Stay away from these guys and go with one of the national moving chains. Local moving companies have no respect for their clients!!

Unlimited moving in Tampa. I moved from Tampa FL to Portland OR 3 weeks ago. The movers got on time for the pickup and delivery. Pelle and his crew did a great job on pick up in Tampa. My 3 bedroom house was loaded on the truck with in less than 6 hr in good condition thanks to the care of the crew. Unloaded in Portland OR 2 weeks after as I requested. This time in less then 4 hr. I got it all in good condition without any damages. Thank you unlimited moving for the best service I received ever from moving companies. I will recommend you guys to all my friends and family and also here on the web. Thanks again for five star moving experience.

I had Unlimited Moving relocate my family and I from West palm to San Fran. I was overall satisfied with there services. I actually hired them upon reading some reviews on this site and others.I was still a little skeptical on hiring a moving company. The men arrived early and worked hard loading the trailer through most of the day. It took close 13 days for the items to arrive. I would've liked to of had them on the Saturday as I hoped for but one day later was ok with us. Everything as of now seems to be in the same condition when they packed it. The delivery team did a good job as well handling my items and putting my furniture where I wanted it to go. The whole team I came into contact with did a great job with my relocation.

Service cost: $7150

This was the worst moving company ever. I scheduled Unlimited to move the equivalent of a 1bedroom apartment from Orlando, Florida to Sterling, VA. At first the customer service was really good as I was scheduling the pickup date. After the pickup date everything turned into a mess. I had to constantly call the company to confirm when they would be delievering my furniture. I had a first deliver date of July 1st and my furniture was not delivered until July 9th. When I contacted the office to get a status on my deliver the representative was very confused and could not provide me any information. I called daily to get a status and was continuely told the wrong deliver date and they kept changing my deliver date. When they were ready  to deliver my furnture they did not give me 24hr notice they called me a few hours before they could bring my items. We confirmed a time of 6:00pm, and the drivers arrived an hour and a half late then the scheduled time. It was a week day when I had to go to work and it took them from 7:30pm to 10:00pm to unload all my items. The driver was very rude and unprofessional. They were unloading items that were not mine and bringing them into my apartment. He  also used my restuarant without asking and when I confronted him he became very defensive and rude. Also, when they delievered my mattress it was damaged and the the driver did not let me know it was damaged before he left. Also, because it was so late they could not find one of my boxes which had my printer and the glass in my picture was broken. When I contacted the company to get reimbursement for my mattress and printer they only offered me $200-$300 to replace a $600 mattress and $400 printer. After I filed a complaint with the BBB the owner told me they could not work with me to reimburse me for the damages and told me the only recourse I had was to file a claim. This was the first moving company I ever used and the worst experience I had doing business with a company. I would take any complimentary review about this company with a grain of salt because I seriously question its validity. .

We needed to move from Brandon FL to Fort Collins CO asap. We had many quotes and the best idea was from Unlimited Moving Tampa. The estimator that visited our home (Tommy) offered us complete service at an ideal flat price. There were other estimates lower but we felt more comforatble with the courtesy and professionalism of Unlimited Moving, and we didn't want to chance anyone else and have any move day problems especially with change of price. We liked that we got our stuff rather quickly and everything was the same way it was picked up. Safe and easy. Thank you Unlimited Moving.

I was expecting our move to be performed with Unlimited Moving. I spoke with Gilbert starting a month before my move date, he gave me a quote from his company, we made out our cashier's check to the company, but then on the day of the move, a truck showed up with the name Ocean's Moving, which Gilbert never made any mention of, that it would be another moving company providing the services. I asked one of the moving guys if they were part of Unlimited Moving and he informed me that they were partners with them. This was the first time I had any notice that my move was not going to be done with UM. One of the reasons Gilbert convinced me to go with Unlimited Moving was that they were not like like a broker who used outside companies. I received an e-mail from UM that they would price match a lower quote from another reputable company as long as they weren't a broker. Gilbert would not match lower quotes I had received from other companies becuase they were "brokers", but I feel like in the end, UM acted like a broker in my situation. I originally posted this review about Unlimted Moving, and about 10 minutes later received a call from Tony with UM, explaining that UM was not the company that did our move and asked that I correct that on my review. So technically everything was set up by Unlimited Moving, but Ocean's Moving was the company that performed our move.We were not satisfied with our service. When I spoke with Gilbert with Unlimited Moving, he originally told me that we could expect our shipment within 3-5 days, so when we packed a suitcase, we only packed for 5 days to allow for our items to arrive. Our shipment didn`t arrive until after 11 days. When I spoke with the driver, he first told me I could expect our shipment to arrive between Tuesday and Thursday, June 18-20, 2013. He later called and told me Thursday or Friday, then when I called again to check the status, he told me Saturday, June 22nd, which is when everything finally arrived. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We were originally quoted around 1700 but ended up having to pay almost 3300, mostly because our furniture items were bulky and "oversized", taking up more space in the truck and costing more for fuel. When the movers arrived to load our belongings, we were given a price list of packing materials, including tape, which they used generously when preparing our furniture. Even though we lived on the second floor, we were charged extra for the flight of stairs because it was more than 7 steps. Also, when the packers were loading our items during pickup, they did not take extra care of the boxes, even those marked "fragile". When our items were delivered, most of the boxes were falling apart, upside down, crushed, and some had items falling out of them. I was surprised that more items were not broken. The wood stain on our new bedroom furniture was scraped off in multiple places, and several other items were broken. I am in the process of submitting a claim to hopefully be reimbursed for our broken items, and so far have found the claim process to be very complicated and time consuming. After speaking with Tony after I posted my original review, he informed me that I shouldn't go through the claim process that was listed in my quote, that I now have to contact Ocean's Moving and find out how they process their claims and that I may not even be in their system becuase they are not the ones that originated my order. Sounds like another headache. Tony did offer to send us a check for $200 as a courtesy for the inconvenience which was appreciated. That was about 3 months ago and I have yet to receive any type of compensation.

I had good experience with this company overall. They are fast and honest. Although one of the wheels of my 3 layer cabinate was off, I think it is not a big deal. Even if I moved my own stuff, it might happen. One thing I do not like about this company is that they did not contact us 24 hours before they arrived, instead they contacted us 2 to 3 hours before they arrived. So, we had to cancel our activities on Saturday afternoon. I hope the company will work on this part. If I have to move across states, I will use this company agian.

At first everything went great. Spoke with Dave who was very helpful and attentive when arranging the move. When the men showed up to my apartment in Florida, they quoted me an additional cost of $165 due to the fact that my items took more space then what was expected. Please keep in mind that the price quoted to me by Dave supposedly covered an additional 10% for any unexpected items. I did not have any additional items that was not already included in the contract so this was a  little disturbing. The items made it within a week to California. However, we received a call the day of delivery from a gentleman that stated he could not find someone to help him unload our furniture but that he was on his way regardless. WHAT?! I attempted to call Dave and customer service right away as our furniture is extremely heavy and would require a minimum of 2 person's to transport it safely. I was surprised that all of a sudden Dave was not available, and customer service had closed for the day. This was at 1:30pm on a Tuesday, and per the company website, they are available Monday - Friday 8am-8pm. We had no choice but to meet the gentlemen at the storage unit and were even more disappointed to see he was an elderly man in his mid to late 50's. My husband decided to help him load and unload which was NOT agreed upon in the contract. We've tried to contact the company for some form of reimbursement due to violation of contractual agreements with no response. Please exercise extreme caution when contracting with this company. .

This company received high reviews on-line so I decided to try them. Not sorry I did. They were everything they promised. On time, honest, professional, and courteous. Tommy was upfront from the very beginning, telling me that they are not the cheapest; however, they promise good service and professionalism. I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up a few minutes early and did everything as promised. I would highly recommend this company, especially in light of the poor reputation that movers have.

Movers that picked up in Florida were good. The movers that delivered in New York were terrible! We were told 7-10 days. Fifteen days later our furniture was delivered. I made multiple calls to find out where our things were and when they would be delivered. Had to leave messages and no one returned my calls! The driver told me that there was another delivery blocking ours and somehow that was my problem? If someone loaded this truck backwards how is that my problem? The person/driver/ I spoke with was rude and hung up on me. He also threatened to kill our dog. She is 11 and has never hurt anyone. Not sure what I am going to do, but this is not over!

Honestly, I expected and resigned myself to a chaotic move with a mess left behind after the move and some kind of damage to my furniture. I thought the move would get dragged out and that I would have to have a standby creative way of telling our movers to stop lofting around and get to work. Needless to say, my worries were simply energy -draining and unwarranted. The gentlemen we had were absolutely amazing! They were very professional, friendly, efficient and treated my things as if they were theirs. Can't begin to tell you how extremely pleased we were with the whole experience. I would highly recommend Unlimited Moving to anyone. As a matter of fact, I already have.

I had an amazing experience with Unlimited Moving. I was referred to them by cousin who lives in FL and used them a couple times. I called there office in FL and received a quote over phone which was a lot easier than I thought. The guys who picked me up were absolutely awesome and respectful. The treated my furniture like it was there own. Once they were loaded I flew to Chicago to meet them at my new place. Everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect.10 Star rating.

We used Unlimited Moving for our move from Tampa, FL to Manhattan, NY. Everything was great from the pick up to the delivery of our stuff. Dave was very professional and courteous throughout the whole move. Santos and the crew were super friendly and funny, very hard working guys and they paid close attention to detail, made us feel very comfortable, as they handled our furniture with extra care. We recommended Unlimited Moving to my sister and husband who needed to move to Santa Clara, CA, and they were absolutely thrilled with the excellent service they received. I would highly recommend Unlimited Moving to anyone who's looking to move. Thanks Unlimited Moving, if we hear of anyone that needs to move, we'll be sure to tell them to use your services!!

I used Unlimited Moving to go from the West coast of Florida to the East coast. This was my 4th move in the last 6 years, so I've been through a few movers.
The crew on the pick-up end were Anthoni, J.R., and Santos. They had a pick-up before mine, so were running about 30 minutes late. They called to let me know so I wasn't just sitting around waiting. When they arrived it was all business. These gentlemen were all professional, friendly, and very organized. The summer downpour came as the last several big items were getting ready to go. They kept packing and organizing, so the minute the rain slowed they were loading up the truck. It was a 3 plus hour trip across the state. Anthoni called to let me know when they were 30 minutes out. As the truck pulled in, so did the next downpour. They worked with me on how to best get the truck unloaded without harming my items and got right to work. As the evening wore on into night, these guys just kept on moving. At one point, probably at 11pm, as I was looking at the arrangement of some furniture I had asked for, thinking I wished I had asked them to put the furniture in reverse of what it was, Anthoni and JR asked me if I thought it would look better the other way. I told them yes, but I would deal with it later. They just laughed and said it would be the way I wanted when they were through. I couldn't have asked for a better crew, even as they were heading out close to midnight, they were just so kind. Oh, and of course everything arrived and in good condition. Best move ever. Since your Agent litterally demeaned me on the phone after I told him I would be reviewing the additional cost with my husband that he suggested I now owed to include one picture, he hung up on me. I would say as a Business Owner of a Pa based storage facility and over 300 rental appts and cottages, I would NEVER recommend your company. I have dealt with a lot of people but to be treated in such a way and then hung up on, was horrible. Definitely passing the word to my friends and residents in both PA, Sarasota and Naples.

What a joke. I mean what a joke. They went through my whole shipment and stole 20k worth of clothes and items from me. Items from from curio cabinet and ALL my items gone. I am now unpacking some of the item that they went through and they are not mine, I have xmas items that are not mine. Yes I filed a claim and they offered 250.00 for what they took.. I now have items in a box that they unpacked for someone else. I think I havea tracking divice that will let me know where my items went. Yes I did have a few tracking items, This Company is a big joke. Dont trust TOM and his crew.

No regrets! Everything went as promised. Items were picked up on time and delivered on time. Communication is great. The office staff promptly addressed any concerns and Tommy the Driver kept me updated on the ETA. The ground staff for the unloading showed up on time, unloaded things and helped unbox and placed items both large and small.
Moving cost was about $1500 cheaper than a Uhaul moving box. In fact I put a pencil to the move and I couldn’t have rented a truck, load, unload and drive 2400 miles plus hotel and meals as cheap as Unlimited. Another plus is that when dealing with Unlimited you are not dealing with brokers who constantly call or email and depending upon the company you will get torpedoed by expensive fine print. Been there and done that. A royal pain!
Would I use Unlimited Movers again? Yes, without hesitation.
