Long-distance move from Snoqualmie, WA to Edmond, OK

They lie, overcharge, break things, will not accept responsibility

They initially calculated the cube on the truck as 1400 cft. When I said that their rep had calculated 1101 they said how about 1250. I provided picture proof that it was 1100 they would not accept it. The packing was horrendous. We had at least 40-50 broken items. They pull in "day laborers" to do the work. I wrote to the BBB but got nowhere. If you value you belongings use someone else.

Run away from this company!!

This company is horrid!! They underestimated the load by almost 40% despite the fact they had a video that was done by a reputable moving company (which i should have used). They broke over 40 items, including large flat screen tvs, every floor lamp we owed, and large framed art pieces. The customer service is awful; their claim process is a joke; and on top of that one of their movers stole my family silver (they left the non-silver from the silver chest of drawers). we are suing them.

Long-distance move from Wylie, TX to Aberdeen, NC

Horrible experience

This was the worst moving experience ever! The move went from being quoted $11,000 to a whopping $24,000. They will underestimate your move and give you a great price to get you in and then BAM…..shaft you in the end! The first part of my order arrived with no issues. It took 2 1/2 months to receive the rest of my belongings. The dispatch department is the worst ever! You can only talk to customer service and they are overworked and can’t tell you anything because they have to wait for dispatch who never responds. I belongings went from Texas to Maryland then to North Carolina without me even knowing. They don’t help you with anything they don’t give you any information now I need to try and work on claims for the broken items that were shoved, literally shoved into the smallest storage unit. It was not my storage unit, it was one that they had rented to store my items instead of telling me that they were there to deliver them. They made me wait 2 1/2 months to get my items and charged me $24,000 to move from Texas to North Carolina! Worst movie experience ever, worst company ever! Their lack of responding to your phone calls and voicemails is unreal. I would never recommend them even to my worst enemy!

Long-distance move from Merrillville, IN to Conway, SC

Moving.

I would not recommend this moving company at all. It took over a month for us to get our furniture. When we tried calling customer service no one would answer or return our phone calls when messages were left asking where our furniture was. When we finally did receive our furniture, we had pieces damaged. Not a happy customer.

Long-distance move from Des Plaines, IL to Grants, NM

Liked the company

We hired United Nation Van Lines for a full-service move (packing, moving, unpacking) from Illinois to New Mexico. They used high quality packing materials and the team was very professional. Their admin staff are just as good at their jobs. Our experience with the whole company was just perfect and they deserve full marks.

Long-distance move from Harrisburg, PA to Chatsworth, GA

Very satisfied.

Of all our moves, the last one with United Nation Van Lines was probably the best. Pickup and delivery was on the dot; the movers and the admin people were great at their jobs; and all our things were delivered in one piece. For the price they charge, this company is a steal!

Long-distance move from Portland, OR to Windsor, CO

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING CO.

We moved to Windsor, CO arrived June 16th from Portland, Or. Today is Aug 4th and our stuff has not shown up. When we get them on the phone they just tell us they will send it through dispatch. We ask to talk to a supervisor , they tell us they will call us back and never do. Total rip off. Now we have to get a lawyer.

Long-distance move from Des Moines, IA to Austin, TX

Absolutely avoid at all costs

The company jacked up the price once the cancellation period was over. We had no choice but to pay more money.

They picked up our items on 9/4 and we still haven't taken delivery. Customer service offers no answers on when our things will be delivered. We've had to buy new furniture just so we aren't sleeping on the floor.

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Birmingham, AL

Buyer Beware: Terrible Experience

BLUF: This company is unprofessional, unresponsive, and overall a terrible value. I have moved more than 10 times in my life as a military member and have experienced it all, from good to bad moves. This move was far and away the very WORST experience moving.

Just a handful of reasons:

1. They refused to do an in-house estimate due to "COVID"....right.

2. Their estimate of my cubic footage of household goods was only 2/3rds of what it ended up being when they (finally) arrived to begin packing. (Original Est: $14,000; Final Cost: $23,000)

3. They charged me a penalty for every additional cubic ft over the estimate......which was the estimate they provided without sending someone to my house to do it or doing it virtually.

4. They showed up very late on Day 1 for packing; 1 pm.....in what world does a moving company show up at 1 pm and stop before 5 pm....complete waste of my time....also his final price for how many cubic feet of goods I had was just a complete guess....he didn't measure anything in the truck at the end of each one of the 3 days it took to pack the truck. When I asked him how he came up with the total cubic footage he literally couldn't give me a coherent response....read: he made it up.

5. I was ensured it would be a 2 day pack and move.....it was 3 days.

6. The packers arrived at my house 4 hours before the driver arrived.....he wouldn't answer his phone or provide me an update......he was driving around trying to find boxes and packing blankets.......all of which I paid for upfront and then a penalty based on having more cubic footage than their little estimate.

7. "Customer service" is a complete farce in this company......too much to go into with this one but they simply don't value it in the least bit.

8. I stood around at my house on Day 2 and Day 3 of the pack/move waiting for the driver and watched the packers leave because he wasn't there......then he couldn't get replacements so it took a day longer than they assured me it would. (I had to change my flight to accommodate the additional move day)

9. I paid to have my stuff in storage for a month, I was told it was in their company warehouse.....that ended up being a self storage unit down the street that all my goods were lazily thrown in there....I had one of the packers show me the location and send me pictures.

10. My goods arrived at my new house 30 days after the date I requested.

11. I had a tv, nice double stroller, and various other goods "Lost".....read: stolen.

12. My nice couches, just about every single lamp shade, and wooden furniture significantly damaged to a point that I have had to replace most of those items.

13. When I reported the "lost" and damaged goods, the "customer service" at this company couldn't have been any less concerned or helpful.

I spent $23,000 from Illinois to Alabama for all of that above.......ridiculous and almost surreal.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Long-distance move from Sacramento, CA to Commerce City, CO

They don’t deserve one star

The packers/loaders we’re good. Customer service sucks. There are numerous complaints filed to the BBB and DOT by folks who, like me, have had to wait more than fives weeks for their belongings. I’m still waiting. They even have a FB page called “United Nations Van Lines Is a Scam”. Avoid at all costs.
