Long-distance move from Florida to New Jersey

Move, 4 years Old

Well, I told this company (after a absolutely horrific experience) that I would ensure that none of my business partners would work with this co. I believe the name was Keith or Kevin who I was working with: my wife actually nick named him the used car salesmen: he refused to come out and inventory and at the end of the move we were stuck with an additional 4K in moving costs: service was horrendous. We move quite aa few of our employee's: to date I have moved 42 families: relocating them all over the US. This firm received none of this business.

What this firm cost us was time and money: this should have not happen. I will continue to advocate for not using this firm.

Long-distance move from Saginaw, MI to Syracuse, NY

WORST COMPANY

I recently conducted a move with Trinity van lines and was given the carrier of "United" to conduct my move. The initial moving estimate was $3548.56. Upon drop off, United claimed I had an overage and demanded additional payment. They said I had an overage of up to $1300 additional. Upon pick up of my items, a new binding estimate was not given nor signed for.

I have quoted below the two excerpts from our contract that apply:

"If, when the Carrier arrives onsite, before loading your household goods, the Carriers foreman believes that the estimated size of the items you wish to move is not accurate and that you have additional household goods to be moved and or that you require additional services not identified in the initial Binding Estimate. Trinity Van lines and or its Agent will agree to negotiate a revised written Binding Estimate which will list the additional cubic feet of household goods and/or additional services needed. By executing a new Binding Estimate, the carrier and the customer will consider the initial Binding Estimate null and void and that it will no longer control the move. If you and the carrier cannot reach an agreement, you retain the right to Cancel your move and the carrier retains the right to refuse to service the additional household goods or services."

"If you have not signed the mover's revised Binding Estimate and the mover loads the truck, then Federal regulation requires that the mover has reaffirmed the original Binding Estimate and cannot demand additional payment at delivery for the additional items."

I told Alex (from united) that I did not agree or sign for any additional and would have simply cancelled the move (as allowed by contract). I explained that he had to honor my original binding estimate as stated in the contract because no new agreement had been notified to me or signed for. When I reached out to trinity to handle the issue, they told me they could not get reach Alex. My mom and I had to call the police and have them stand by as Alex held my things in the moving truck hostage and would not release unless I paid the additional money. Alex told me that he would have his driver drive away and put them into storage until I paid what he wanted. The officer even spoke on the phone with Alex and explained that what he was doing was extortion and illegal. After hours of standing in the street with police, I finally had to pay Alex over chase pay (not cash or cashiers check that was agreed upon) the additional money in order to release my items. The contract strictly states that the original binding estimate must be honored based on federal regulations if a new one is not signed and agreed to before LOADING the truck. I was not notified of an overage until the day of them arriving. I will be pursuing legal actions.

On top of that, when the mover arrived it was only one man and my uncle with LEUKEMIA had to help him unload it and when the mover arrived, Alex told me there would be multiple men to help him unload it.. NOPE. Me and my mom helped him unload all of my things.

My nightmare from toledo to wv.

Company sucks. I was scheduled for the 14 pick up. Movers called changed to 15. Then to 16th. Guess what no mover. Then the 17th. Still no movers and no one knows any thing. If you move and they call say no thank you. Plus I did not get any money returned for my trouble.

Excellent movers!!

We recently moved and have moved several times in the last 10 years. We had some really horrific moving experiences. But not this time. Our rep Jay was excellent and because of him not only did everything go smoothly but we will be calling him again soon to help move my in-laws.

Shameful

Worst moving company. Only moved 2/3 of our items for 1000 more then quoted. Still had to pay another mover $4,000 to finish our move. Just shameful. Plus damaged items and no care in packing.

Long-distance move from Milwaukee, WI to Midway Park, NC

Screwed over!!!!

I was in dispute about things I was toldand was working with them about some discounts, because I was lied to. Jay got mad at me because I told him before the "QA" that I was working with someone about getting some discounts, Jays response was to get mad at me and we got into a yelling/cussing match. He then went to the OWNER and demanded Jennifer not touch my account and only he could, this ended with no discounts after being lied to and NOONE doing my "QA", infact Jay wouldn't answer any of my calls or emails and Bull moving company whom the sent me through charged me over $1000.000 extra for my move annndddd 25 days later I still don't have my belongings. I asked Jay during my call "are you seriously willing to cost the company money because of the way you're talking to me and knowing I had 4 people and a business moving over a 1000 miles with you" and he responded "I'm not costing the company anything and I don't care", all before screwing me over. Needless to say, we immediately cancelled my employees move that was scheduled a couple weeks out and my other 3 employees have pods outside there home, so this company was willing to sacrifice 25000.00 plus to treat me like crap? Good job jay, Jennifer and whatever the owners name is. Stay clear of this company. They start with a lie and end with you not having your belongings but if your willing to go without your property for a month, love to be lied to, love having excuses thrown at you and love being belittled, then this is the PERFECT company for you.

Long-distance move from Albuquerque, NM to Pittsboro, NC

Trash

Move from NM to NC and FL - Get ready to pay extra because you will be required to give them more money because their trucks can’t get down residential streets. Bring an extra $300 or $350 with you. Also multiple items were broken and they attempted to deliver after 8pm. This place is awful. Run away from this place as fast as you can.

A bait and switch job

Funny that I already posted a very detailed review about my dealings with this company and now it doesn’t show up any more... summary... Dylan, sales guy was great! Charming and ‘trustworthy’ I signed the contract. He then sent me to the snake Bruce who spoke down to me, talked over me, belittled me then doubled my moving cost and told me he would block my calls if I didn’t like it.

Dylan underestimated my moving costs even when I told him I had more pieces then Bruce said I had sooooo much more. After Bruce took my money, I NEVER heard from them again, no one called to schedule the move, discuss further dates, how my move was. I was absolutely charged double what my move actually cost. These guys will absolutely take your money then disappear. Find a local mover first.

Dishonest company

Buyer Beware ! This company prays on people, do not use ! They are nice and sweet to get your money (down payment) then they ignore ALL correspondence even when you please for their return call.

I am out $1500 but I would have been out more and probably more stress if I would have continued their services. DO NOT USE THEM !

Totally Unethical, Dishonest Company

Run! don't walk away from this company. They charged me DOUBLE the amount quoted, didn't show me on the contract where to sign for replacement value for all they broke (over $1000 worth) and never even paid me for the "basic" amount; charged me for services I had requested I might need but didn't need at the move date; charged me extra for bringing my stuff to me "early," they said; The carrier they assigned was Loving Hands--quote a joke.

Be forewarned.
