Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Fort Lauderdale, FL

Job well done!

I moved from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale, FL a few weeks ago. We spoke with about 4 companies total, and I chose to work with Eric at Trinity mostly due to his attention to detail. He asked questions as we went through each room and found everything we were moving. He asked much more than any other company, and quoted me on the real size of my move. he had told me, other companies will purposefully leave many items out to keep their initial price down.
Sure enough, Trinity came in a little higher than all the others, but, it was also the ONLY ACCURATE quote that I received! The movers showed up, reviewed the inventory for about 15 minutes, and said we were good to go. No additions, no up charges, and they took great care with our furniture. I am happy I trusted Eric and Trinity. There is no reason to shop around. These guys are the absolute BEST! Thanks to all, and you especially, Eric.

Son's Cross Country Move.

Cost $2935

My Son has accepted another program to study at UCLA. Unfortunately they didn't have dorms but they had decent housing. I shipped his bed frame, mattress, Living Room Set, and about 25 boxes of his stuff with Trinity Van Lines. They knew I was very concerned for the safety of his things, as well as getting it to his new place and unpacking. When the movers showed up, they helped my Son unpack and were very supportive on the phone. This is what the staff did! Amazing team and great work!

I have no reservation in referring Trinity Van Lines.

Don't Trust these fake reviews.

There is no way in the world anyone would give them above a 3. They sell you the world and a great rate but then sell your move to a subcontractor that is garbage. They threaten you when you call and try to cancel your move saying they will take you to court and you will never win if you try to dispute charges because you were too "stupid and lazy" to research other companies. Jay and Rob are grossly incompetent. We had 1 call about additional inventory which conveniently occurred just one day past when I could have cancelled to get all of my money back. They under quote items that you are moving. When you challenge them they tell you they have been doing this for 20+ years and to trust them.

They practice very deceptive business dealings and work with contractors who go by multiple different names. One week they are this company the next it is a different name but in the end they are still going to hire a company that breaks all of your stuff and doesn't want to help when the reality of a situation occurs.

Buyer beware and don't trust a word they say anticipate at minimum $2000 more than you wanted to pay.

Long-distance move from Ohio to South Carolina

My move from Leeburg, OH to Okatie, SC.

So, here it is…
I just moved with Trinity a month ago. I moved from OH to SC. As of a couple weeks ago, I was upset with how my move went. I had intended to write a bad review. The movers couldn’t make it until the second day of my pick up window, which was upsetting since I had planned for it to happen the day before. I move was about 650 miles. My items were delivered about 4 days later, and had damage to 2 of my boxes and a table was scratched, and a frame was chipped on the corner. Then the movers had the gall to ask for tips… Ugh! I discussed this at length with Brandon. He did apologize that the move wasn’t perfect. However, he did share a few good points. My move never changed price. I was delivered in 4 days. There was minimal damage, and they are helping me with my claim. To be honest, I can’t stay upset with what happened. A few weeks after the fact, I am grateful for hiring Trinity for my move. And lastly, thank you for not disappearing after my move happened!

Long-distance move from Columbia, MO to Clovis, CA

How this works.

The Trinity reps were very courteous and professional during my initial booking. But once the contract was inked any my deposit was paid, they set me up a disastrous set of movers.

These movers were late, rough with my cargo, damaged the walls of my apartment and left cigarette butts all in my driveway. When I contacted Trinity to complain, they passed the buck to the movers themselves and were of little help.

I booked this move on Trinity’s reputation. I did not realize Trinity would be hiring out the job to the lowest quality bidder. Don’t make my mistake. Look elsewhere.

40% of items stolen, significant portion of goods delivered damaged.

I received an unsolicited bid for my cross-country move from Trinity in mid-2019. I did not want to use them as it seemed too good to be true, but was literally promised that there would be no issues.

Trinity sub-contracted the actual move out to the most unscrupulous business in existence, Household Hauling, who showed up to pickup one day late. Upon delivery of my goods months later after being in storage with Household Hauling, I only received 50% of my goods, some of which were irreparably damaged. Weeks later, I received a second shipment containing 10% of my goods. After that, I was told that all of my goods were delivered and the owner insinuated that I was attempting to commit fraud by claiming I had goods over and above what they delivered. Unfortunately for Household Hauling, movers during the 2nd shipment verbally confirmed they saw in their warehouse my 60" TV, multiple luggage pieces, and other unique items/boxes of mine.

I contacted Trinity for assistance, but they ultimately did nothing and have gone silent. I have since filed a police report on both companies and have contacted the Florida Attorney General to investigate the matter and these companies.

This was hands down the worst experience of my life, I should have trusted my gut and done the move myself, but was instead scammed by two companies.

Long-distance move from Aurora, CO to Alpharetta, GA

Pleasantly surprised!

Ok so let me start off by saying that my last move with a professional moving company was a complete DISASTER! So we were reluctant to hire a mover this time around, but we soon realized that we could not do this on our own. When I spoke with Jay he quickly alleviated all my fears and educated me about some of the deceptive practices other moving companies engage in. He advised me that this was probably the case with my last move, where they used bait and switch tactics to make me think I was getting a better price than I really was. I appreciated Jays honesty, knowledge and time he took with me on the phone. So the movers arrived on time and were very polite and professional. The foreman Joey walked through my home with me and wrote up my paperwork and was extremely patient with me as I asked him tons of nervous questions. I was really impressed with the way the guys wrapped my grandmother's solid wood rolltop desk, that thing is a monster and they made it look easy. Delivery was estimated at 2-3 days and the sure did arrive on the 3rd day and I am happy to report no major damages. Trinity has definitely renewed my faith in moving companies, I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Long-distance move from Fargo, ND to Jonesboro, GA

Total rip off.

I hired Trinity to move my belongings from Fargo, ND to Atlanta, GA January 2020. Trinity subcontracted my move to Virgin Moving & Storage. Trinity has been giving me the run around and I have talk to 3 to 4 different reps. They subcontracted my move to an unfit company. Virgin Moving & Storage has a D- rating on the BBB, and countless of negative ratings. The owner and movers are dishonest, and plays games with peoples lives( just google the company). While they hold your belongings as I have had to fly(465$) to MN to pick up my own belongings, rent a tuck(1,663$), rent a hotel (248$), and rent a car (165$) I will be driving my own belongings back to Atlanta on Monday June 15, 2020, if the rep from Virgin shows up. Not to forget Bethany from Trinity keeps trying to tell me Virgin has been trying to deliver my belonging, witch is not true and I have said it over and over. I have proof, that he has only tried to deliver my belongings once, and when I told his driver to go ahead and deliver my belongings to a storage united. Driver told me they would have a date for me within the next week. That was on May 4,2020 and I sent both Trinity and Virgin a email on February 25, 2020 as my move in date was April 15, 2020. I had not heard from Virgin since March 28,2020 until they called me on May4th at 10:10am. As David from Virgin has told them that he has tried to deliver my belongings serval times. Witch is a not true, as I have all of my unanswered phone calls, text messages and recorded conversations with David. On May 13th at 3:33pm I sent a text message and called to see if they had a date to deliver my belongings . David did not respond until May 21, 2020 at 4:35pm, with we are still working on it. I replied what would be my options to come get my belongings the text message went unanswered. I have been at home now for amoth. As I am a traveling nurse and had not been able to take a new contract because I had been waiting on my belonging. Sent an email to Trinity and Bethay sent them an email on 5/26/2020 at 12.06pm. David called me and said I had to pay the remaining balance of 1086$, I told him absolutely not. As you guys have not completed the job. Fast Forward to today, I am still not sure if I will be able to return home with my belongings. I pray Trinity will no longer use this company as they do bad business. They have my belongings that I paid for, and my complaints and concerns went unanswered to the point I am in MN, to pick up my belongings. No one should ever have to go through this to get their personal belongings. When I say nothing better be broken or missing, because Virgin Moving & Storage has over 12 complaints of theft and broken items.

Do Not Use.

They will tell you whatever they need to in order to book your move. They did a video call to inventory our items but still did not get the price accurate. They sent in an unprofessional company who attempted to try to increase the price multiple times until I had them leave without the job being done. They will tell you that they will continue to assist once the move is booked but once they have your money they are done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Long-distance move from Vallejo, CA to Jacksonville, FL

Would highly recommend.

My mother recently passed away unexpectedly and I needed to clear her place out and ship a lot of her belongings to my home for me sort through. Needless to say this was a monumental task, especially since we live on opposite coasts. I contacted Trinity and spoke with Tyler and he was just wonderful. Very knowledgeable and helpful and out a lot of my concerns at ease. He set me up with a professional packing service and it was affordable and made this moving experience a breeze. The moving crew arrived about two hours late, but quickly got to work and were very kind and polite. They were very careful with an antique desk my family has had for generations.

Great price, great customer service, and one happy customer! Thanks Trinity!!

Long-distance move from Coos Bay, OR to Charlotte, NC

Dream Team.

I rarely leave reviews but feel one was definitely owed to Trinity after the amazing service we received from them last week. Our house had been on the market for a while with very little movement and two weeks ago we received an offer we could not turn down. So we researched moving companies and happened upon Trinity and were blown away by the low cost we were quoted, and I have to admit we were skeptical at first. Our moving consultant Jay was very thorough and anticipated all of our needs. We opted to purchase the professional packing service and it was quite reasonable and gave us time to focus on the many other aspects of moving across the country. They even offered to store our furniture for 3 weeks while we looked for an apartment in Charlotte (at no additional cost!) We also had the pleasure of working with Rob, who walked us through the moving process and was always able to answer any questions I had, and this being my first long distance move, I had plenty and he was very patient, kind and warm. Movers were on time and worked efficiently. Dispatch department kept us informed with delivery updates via text messages, and our belongings arrived yesterday, safe and sound. Total dream team, thanks Trinity!!

More from Florida to Pennsylvania.

Worst moving experience. Belongings were picked up on June 19 and delivery date was June 24. They did not deliver till July 23. One box was completely smashed which was marked fragile, glass.top for an end table was missing and my plates were broken. Everything was left in a storage unit for weeks where one large box of clothes got wet and moldy. Terrible service. Quote was 1583 but more charges were added and I paid a little over 2000.

Long-distance move from Staten Island, NY to Fort Lauderdale, FL

Move from NY to FL.

I had originally booked my move with another company last month, and they told me the day before my items were to be picked up, they had no trucks available due to Covid-19 and didn't know when they could reschedule. I reached out to Trinity Van Lines and they were able to get my items loaded and shipped to Florida the 6 days later. They gave me a fair price, not the lowest price, but fair proving you get what you pay for nowadays. My estimator Jay was very hands on and responsive to my situation. Everything showed up in tact. Thanks Again Trinity Van Lines, mission accomplished!

Long-distance move from Big Bear Lake, CA to Trout Creek, MT

Moving from Big Bear Lake, Ca. to Trout Creek, Mt.

Do not use this company, estimate was $2,400 ended up up costing us over $9,000. They showed up to deliver (Virgin moving & storage) unannouced and waited in driveway 1/2 hour, drove around block and "redelivered" at the cost of $2,600 extra. Would not unpack and drove away with our stuff, demanded $4,675/(ransom) be transferred immediately or we would never see our stuff. Made false claim to police saying "we held driver hostage in our house and stole & broke his $750.00 phone. Week after transferring almost $5,000 we get a key to a storage unit and move oursleves using uhaul. WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES! Wish we had moved ourselves, everything we had moved in 2 loads using a extra cab truck w/camper shell, Subaru and small trailer to haul fridge & snow blower(small move, no stairs just from garage to garage). The subcontractor (Virgin moving & storage) stole our most valuable items - $3,000 worth and damaged about $500's worth. $750 demanded to buy driver a new cell phone (big lie). Move yourself or find a mover with good reviews-do your research.

Long-distance move from Chandler, AZ to Troy, MI

Last minute move.

I recently contracted Trinity Van Lines to transport my mothers belongings

Back home to Michigan after being dumped at the door by the movers I had previously been working with. They severely underestimated my cubic footage during my sales call and when the crew showed up they said they could only accommodate half my belongings, so that wasn’t going to work out. I quickly did some research and found Trinity and was put in touch with Arnold who was very understanding and patient and took several hours of his time to make sure all the details were correct this time. I’m pleased to say the movers were awesome, showed up on time and worked hard to finish the job by sundown. The foreman Alex was very kind and even offered to sweep up my kitchen, after I made a bit of a fuss which I do regret haha. All in all, great experience. They were able to get me moved less than 36 hours after my initial call with Arnold. Top notch operation ! Will recommend highly to all friends and family.

Week late delivery, no communication.

We were told by our mover to be in Denver by Sept 4 to receive our moving delivery. They contacted us on Sept 4 to tell us our things would not arrive until "sometime next week." As of Sept 10, we have not received any communication on when our things will be delivered and all our attempts to contact Trinity and the company they contracted to actually fulfill the move have been met with silence and inaction. We have been living in our apartment without furniture for a week now because of the failure to deliver and communicate. We need someone from Trinity to reach out and work to rectify the situation as soon as possible.

Wonderful moving experience.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have booked my move with Trinity Van Lines. I've had to relocate due to work and I've had a few hellish experiences in the past. A friend in Fl. referred me to Jay at Trinity and I immediately felt like I had a friend in the moving business. Jay is a straight shooter, no B.S.... he was very detailed and forthcoming, and because of this, there were no unexpected, unpleasant surprises like you so often encounter. Booking with Trinity made my move from West Coast to East Coast effortless and worry-free. I highly recommend this company if you want to deal with someone professional and trustworthy!

Highly recommend Trinity Van Lines

I-Highly recommend Trinity Van Lines. I’ve moved several times over my career and had a few bad experiences. I found out the hard way you get what you pay for. Jay quoted me aprice 15% higher then the three other companies I was considering. I’m glad I chose to pay a little bit more. I was pleasantly surprised when Jay answered the phone on a Sunday afternoon. I know good reviews are hard to come by and people only write and read the bad ones.. but I honestly feel Trinity Van Lines deserved a good review for being upfront and honest. Thanks again.

Long-distance move from Warrenville, SC to Holly Springs, NC

Nightmare

Got a great quote from [NAME EDIT] and an assurance of no lowballing for our 1300 sq ft house. "Give us money, quick , and we will schedule you in". Second person from company reaches out to finalize the estimate. $3.5 per cubic foot. Total price went up. "Pay us more money". He tells me any additional can be added on the day of the move. Next a call from someone named [NAME EDIT]. Any fragile items we need to pack ourselves. I assume that means heirlooms and private treasures. Day of the move, the movers inform us that we a have to wrap anything that might be breakable. Glass tables, mirrors, tvs, vases, etc (we had already packed the dishes.) We can buy any necessary boxes and tape we might need on on moving day from them at double the cost at Home Depot. We call [NAME EDIT]. Turns out she's a boss. She tells me that info received from [NAME EDIT] is invalid. We wrap everything fragile to go on the truck, not them! Had they attached any significance to what "you wrap fragile items" really means before we signed, we would have gotten additional quotes. Can you imagine? What do we know about adequately wrapping three glass living room tables, large screen TVs or a large mirror? We pay movers to move our furniture and we have to wrap half of it ourselves? They evidently wanted to simply put our furniture on a truck and drive. No packing. Yet the cost is $3500. Not exactly cheap for a move to a location 4 hours away by truck. Then, we decide to add a few items, about 5 cubic feet additional. Oops, sorry, minimum additional is 15 cubic feet. Really?

Next, payment. "Pay me now" approach! They won't take a credit card, check or money order. Cash on the barrelhead or we don't move a muscle. Who doesn't have $2K on them at all times? Decided to Zelle them the money. They won't move a finger until them get confirmation from the home office that it cleared. We'll sit here and wait until that happens? At the destination, wife runs out to grab cash from the bank. They won't move a muscle until the cash is in their hand. Really guys? I have already made 3 partial payments, the last one a day ago, and you can't trust me for the 20 minute trip to the bank to get the remaining balance?

The company is, we think, expensive for the service they provide, not at all customer friendly, and their fixation on payment is off-putting to say the least (wait till you see the tip charges sheet they give you when the truck arrives at your house). We did 75% of the house packing. We moved two 5x8 Uhaul trailers and three pickup truck loads ourselves prior to the mover's arrival. It took the movers 3 hours to load, a 4 hour drive, and 1.5 hours to unload. $3500, plus tip. The guys on the truck, btw, were quite helpful. No issues there.

Take away here is Avoid Trinity Movers!

This is the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered, I paid 4K deposit, 1 day before they are to pick up my stuff, called driver out, can we move the date, I had already sold the house, when they do get to house, tell the owner nothing is packed there not taking it, I spent 2 days trying to find out what was going on, no one returns your calls, my stuff is still there, and they keep my 4 k deposit, moving is stressful enough, this is not the company to use to even move a fog house, very very upset customer, and they don’t give a shit, they are scammers be very aware, do not my any meens use this company ?has to give them 1 star or you can’t continue, I give them -10000 stars

Worst move I ever had

Trinity was the broker. For a fee of over $6000, Trinity gave us 3 estimates based on our walking around the house with our phone's camera. The first estimate was a bit over $10K, the 3rd one, completed by an "experienced person" in the company came in at over $17,000. Then, on moving day, the mover that Trinity selected came in and gave us the bill for over $21,000. When I called Trinity about the price, they said there wasn't anything they could do. So what did we get for our $6000 fee from Trinity?

A NIGHTMARE

These lying weasels will call you if you search for long distance movers online. [NAME EDIT] will tell you they are “Tier One movers”. But they are not movers at all. They will subcontract to lowball fly by night organizations, in our case All in One Moving and Storage. When your belongings vanish for weeks, they will not intervene. When you cannot get a COI for your building, they will go silent. When your belongings finally arrive, unscheduled, in an unmarked truckmanned by people who basically hold your stuff hot-age in exchange for up charges, good luck! How [NAME EDIT] can live with himself, as he daily preys upon families already stressed out from moving, I do not know. I hope that he burns in hell, and that his belongings go missing on the way.

Unethical and/or Incompetant

I was assisting my elderly parents in a move. I chose Trinity as they were recommended to me. Until we received the contract, there was NO mention by ANY of the representatives that Trinity is a BROKER, NOT a moving company itself. Additionally they either ignorantly or incompetently did NOT adequately communicate with the actual company doing the moving. There was a gross underestimation of the volume to be moved, the Trinity representative said, not once, but multiple times, stated that our move would take a full truck (Semi truck load) and asked specifically if there was room for such to get to the house. The mover showed up and low and behold, the WRONG SIZE TRUCK! They were informed by Trinity of one thing when in reality it was VERY different. Also the volume estimate, if you stack everything on top of itself(Couch on Couch, etc.) MAY have been correct, but what idiot would think to move a HOUSEHOLD in such a manner. Their incompetence, ignorance and plain lack of appropriate and ethical customer service standards is beyond belief. Save yourself the headaches of their lies....they are snake oil salesmen....NEVER use this company EVER!

Horrible Experience - Find a different company!

I did eventually get my items, albeit a month later than they were supposed to be delivered. Our rep, Robert, was initially very helpful with the contract - once it was signed and the down payment was made, my access to the contract was removed and they showed up and tried to charge more than the contract stated for the piano move (greater than the already contracted surcharge). Customer service was impossible to get information from on where the items were - literally did not know where our items were being stored for weeks, or when they would arrive. I asked Robert for assistance to which he replied "contact customer service" and nothing more. Once the contract was signed, the company wiped their hands of us, took the down payment, and offered ZERO additional assistance to ensure this was completed. They were challenging to reschedule with and then tried to reschedule multiple times when I had indicated I was not available (i.e. Thanksgiving Day and asked if a neighbor couldn't just come over to receive the items, as if that were acceptable). Movers themselves were great and deserve better employers. I encourage anyone to not tip them poorly as a result of the awful company for which they work. This was an absolutely horrible experience.
