Long-distance move from Washington Court House, OH to Clearwater, FL

They should be in jail

If I could, I would give these criminals a -5 rating and I would file a criminal complaint. First, they overcharged for the move and the storage by about $3,500 which was after they had my stuff. Then when my things were delivered, 1/3 (or more) of my stuff was missing or broken. Approximately $7,500 worth of sound gear was missing (stolen) along with some personal items that are irreplaceable. They were polite before they picked my stuff up. But once I got to my new home and was ready for delivery, I made the call. That's when I got the surprise bill and incredibly rude agents who would just hang up on me unless I just shut up and paid the ransom. The basic insurance is paid out by the pound and is useless. The amount offered to me by insurance was $50. For easily $8k worth of missing/stolen items. If I could I would take them to court. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with in my 65 yrs. Be very afraid of these guys. Look them up in other reviews and at the BBB. They are not movers. They're brokers. The guys who delivered my stuff arrived in rental truck!!!

Long-distance move from Salt Lake City, UT to Malden, MA

This is a ridiculous company.

I was moving from Utah to Boston. I only got a 5*8 storage, even less than a studio's stuff.
At the beginning, they give me a quote is $1860, after the movers show up and finish the upload, the price turn to $4400?
I only got 30 boxes, a mattess, 2 small cabinet, and some small stuff. The price is just ridiculous, I read the reviews, another customer from UT to NY, is about same distance, and they have 3 bedrooms's stuff, they said they cost $4700, I don't know how I got this much money??
Now it has been 15 days, I don't know where's my stuff, no one answering my phone, no one call me back.
Worst service I had in my life.

Long-distance move from Macomb, MI to Homosassa, FL

Exceptional Employee.

Below is a review I sent to Jeannette Ruiz's supervisor for her great work ethics and helpfulness.

Dear Ms. Kaitlyn Ross,

We recently moved from Michigan to Florida. This was a difficult move for us due to the large amount of furniture and belongings we were moving from two houses. Neither of us have ever made this large of a move before, and we were moving out of state with a very long drive ahead of us.

Jeannette Ruiz was our contact person with AAA Moving Group. She could not have been more patient with me each time I spoke to her on the phone, which was quite a few times. We were quite nervous about all of our things being out of our control for weeks, but Jeannette stayed in contact with us assuring us that everything was going okay from start to finish. I know that I was a little excited a few times for price concerns, but Jeannette always kept her composure and always answered me with a patient and kind response. When the movers were bringing our things into the new house, I called Jeannette about the final cost. My son was nearby and could hear how Jeannette handled my concern; again with kindness and patience.

I am sure that the job that Jeannette has is quite a stressful position due to the nature of her job and the clients she deals with every day. I am quite sure that many can get a little excited about their things being moved and express those concerns as I did, sometimes in a not-so-patient manner. I was a teacher for many years, and I had to deal with angry and impatient parents sometimes. It was stressful. I think that Jeannette must deal with impatient clients more often than I did. She does a great job and never shows her frustration.

People too often do not hesitate to complain about the service they received. However, I don't think people take the time as often to commend a service they have received from a contact person of a company. I wanted to take the time to write to you to let you know what a valued employee you have in Jeannette. She is excellent in her position with you company.

Lastly, This review refers to Jeanette only. I did not give five stars because I felt AAA Moving Group really needs to give an on-site quote as my quoted price was doubled from my original quote. This company and all moving companies really should come out to the home you are moving from and do a detailed quote of inventory of all of the customers' items. Most do this with an inventory the customer fills out and then the moving company calls periodically to add items to your quote if needed. This is why my final bill was doubled from my quote. I don't feel that the customer should be responsible for this part of the move. The moving companies are the experts, and they can do a much better detailed job at taking inventory of a massive move such as the move we did. By having the customer fill out an inventory, the customer is responsible for the cost of the move. I did have another company come out and do a detailed inventory of our things. I didn't go with that company because AAA Moving Group gave me a much lower quote. As it turned out, it wasn't a much lower quote. The ending surprise would have been alleviated had this moving company done an ON-SITE inventory rather than me, the customer, being responsible for this. Then there would be little room for sticker shock at the delivery of the move. I believe most complaints concerning moving companies is either final costs and/or damaged belongings.

If I ever do a large move like this again, I will only deal with companies that do an on-site inventory. That was my lesson from this experience.

Sincerely,
Janice York Abram.

Very Rude and Unprofessional.

I received a phone call from a man by the name of Chuck. He wanted to know if I had made my move from Denver yet. I stated that I had in fact found a moving company that picked up my things. He then hung up the phone in my face. I called 1-386-575-8521 and the voicemail stated that the man's name was Brandon. He then called back from 1-386-212-0149 and hung up on me again. Very unprofessional. Do not trust this company.

Crooks!!

Horrible company! They hired a company to move my estate that damaged every piece of furniture I own. Some of it was 100% totaled and they were the ones that had packaged it. Some of it had holes the size of a softball punched in the side. Others had divots like someone beat the wood with a hammer. My dining room table chair was cracked in half! Metal furniture was bent and dented. They did not take responsibility for destroying my property. They put me off and ignored my calls. They gave themselves a 3 day window to pick up my belongings and couldn't even make it on time within those 3 days. The driver was rude and looked for ways to gouge me on the price every chance he got. It took them over 3 weeks to deliver my property to my new apartment so I had to purchase a lot of items and furniture that I had already owned so I could live. If you are smart, you will avoid this company. Unprofessional liars who will not care for you or your belongings and they will hit you with as many additional costs as they can after you sign a contract. They are criminals.

HORRIBLE experience.

Most of my items arrived damaged, broken and they lost a $1750 electric guitar. The biggest issue I have with this company, is how poorly my items were handled and the lack of care from customer service. They lost an extremely important electric guitar, and most of my items/furniture arrived damaged and broken. That includes bookcases, two end tables, a desk, dishes, picture frames, vases and decorative pieces. Customer service when contacted several times about these issues, not only seemed not to care, but didn't even offer apologies or any type of resolution. This is unacceptable. The movers who finally delivered my items were incredibly unprofessional. They stacked boxes marked fragile at the bottom of several boxes of larger/heavier books, and they kept asking about the price/cost of items, like how much my paddle board costs and how much the apartment cost that I was renting and what the value of other things I own was. It was very strange. Not only did they make no real attempt to find things that were missing, but they unloaded other people's items/boxes with my stuff, that I discovered as I was unpacking. That makes me wonder who else has gotten my items! When I asked them if they were going to pick up other people's boxes that they had unloaded to my apartment, they didn't even seem concerned and asked me to hang on to those things for awhile, so I felt responsible for them. I paid a lot of money to have my items delivered late and mostly broken. I'm incredibly upset and feel absolutely cheated. I would never recommend this company and am honestly surprised at the positive reviews. This was a terrible experience.

Long-distance move from Lansing, MI to Birmingham, AL

Don’t do it.

First my move was scheduled for Tuesday they didn’t show until Saturday. After having my belongings they sent an email stating I was over weight and added an extra $1350. I asked to see a copy of the weight of the truck when it got to them and was met with hostility. Then it was changed to I took up to much space then it was I had more boxes than agreed upon. After the contract was signed it was almost impossible to speak with anyone. I was hung up on more times than I can count or they just wouldn’t answer my phone call. I had to resort to calling from other numbers to get through. Finally when I got my belongings, all 3 big screens were broken wall pictures frames and glass broken. Couches with rips and my mattress appears to have been laying in dirt. There is nothing 5star about this company, if I could they would get a negative 5.

Long-distance move from Hampton, VA to Ridgewood, NJ

Worst moving experience we've ever had.

Avoid this company. Used them recently to move from VA to NJ. The actual movers that came had nothing to do with AAA it was another company called Simplified Moving Solutions.

Extremely shady and unprofessional, smoking cigarettes while working in flip-flops and tank tops. Dropped boxes. Also charged for fuel surcharges (explicitly banned in the contract) and additional mystery fees which AAA promised to look into but of course they haven't called back and aren't responding.

Also as per the contract which states "itemized inventory indicating condition at origin" was never done. Boxes and stuff basically get thrown into a truck and you hope they show up. Never used mattress protector etc. that I prepaid for.

As for delivery days I told them Friday but they called 3 days earlier forcing me to reschedule work. I think the attached pictures speak for themselves.. overall horrible experience and will be filing legal proceedings and going after AAA for the extra fake fees that were charged and the blatant overestimation of weight and volume. Companies should not be allowed to get away with scamming customers like this.

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Tulsa, OK

Terrible Customer care.

So basically we hired AAA moving group to do a full service move for us since we couldn’t keep pay for our apartment during this pandemic. Brad Fink quoted me $1700. I told him I had 2 tvs. This is my first time doing this and he never notified me about extra insurance or that I had to choose my insurance. He just stated that I would be covered up to $10,000. They use a 3rd party company in Jersey for the pickup and delivery. Never told me who the 3rd party was. Travis, my friend, handled the pickup and they ending up raising my price $1000 on the spot. Then the main mover guys who packs up my stuff demanded a tip and when I said I had no money left he got upset and hung up the phone. I got afraid that he would mess up my stuff so I called AAA and reported it. Travis called me right after because the guys was threatening to destroy stuffs and said he already screwed me. To stop him from doing any more damage, I gave him my last $60 and Travis also gave him $100.

I called the third party coming called Stop and Move, the next day and reported it and they basically said he can’t threaten you for a tip since it’s not require and there was nothing more they can do. I the called AAA several time and spoke with them for 2 weeks straight worried about my stuff. They have this all documented by the way. AAA refunded me $150 for the tip. we got threatened out of, which I still haven't received and its been 3 weeks. When I finally got our stuff, some things were missing and others destroyed. My $3000 tv that we just bought was broken and no longer worked. Also they never notified me about any insurance plans and had me sign a piece of paper when the delivered me items, that was covered, stating it was for receiving my stuff. When the mover left. I went through all the boxes immediately and saw what was broken and missing. I called the third party and they said I signed Option 2 for only .60cents per pound. I expressed they never gave me any options and never told me I had an option. They then refer me to that paper I signed that stating option 2. Which was the paper that was covered. So basically scamming me again me again. Also paper work was not even full filled out.

After all that I proceed to try and deal with AAA. I got through to a guy named Daniel Owens that said he was the director of operations at first, but was actually just a sale person. He did some digging for 3 more day. He then got on the phone with me and Travis on a recoding line saying that the 3rd party is willing to give me .60 cents for the total weight of my move instead of just .60 per pound. He gave me the number to call on Friday and I had to weight till Monday to call. I called Monday and Stop and Move deny it. When I called the guys from AAA back (Daniel) he ignored my call and texted me and said there is nothing more he could do and tried to flip it on me by saying that I was the one that said they were offer me the .60 per total weight. I have everyone’s first and last name that I talk to for a month, and have some voice recordings, 2 witnesses, and an email from Daniel confirmation the .60 per total weight. Just got scammed and paid $2700 for the move and got over $3000 in damages and lost items.

Long-distance move from Wichita, KS to Indianapolis, IN

Extremely poor service - regretted every single moment.

This is going to be a very long post - but it by far the most horrifying experience of my life. After a thorough google search - yelp search we decided to contact AAA moving group for our move from Wichita, Kansas to Indianapolis, Indiana. Since it was a move during COVID, it was done mostly over the phone. We got our estimate for the approximate stuff we had and we payed the deposit. And at first they seemed like a reasonable company. Our move was scheduled on 19th July. AAA called us 5 days before the anticipated move and went through the inventory list again and at that point since we had 6 extra boxes - they decided to raise the quote by atleast 300-400$. We were like okay but had reservations since that wasn’t expected. AAA called us on 17th july in the evening and told us that our move will be tomorrow. We had a dinner that night which we cancelled and hurriedly came back and decided to pack the last remaining bits. We got called by the driver and he said its not going to happen on the 18th instead it will be on the 19th- after going back and forth with the driver and AAA finally they decided on the 19th. We waited patiently for them on the 19th - they didn't show up that day. Instead they shower up on the 21st and at that point again they raised our final quote by 500$. We were so tired at that point that we agreed and said sure because we absolutely had to move out of that place .

Out first day of delivery was July 23rd and a few days into it we started calling AAA and at that point we talked ti Maggie (the manager) almost a few times a day. She absolutely had no clue when our stuff will be delivered. And gave us the number for the actual movers and at that point she mentioned “That we are brokers and we have no control over the moving company”. I was taken aback and then started the constant I don’t have an update and I don't know when you stuff will be delivered. Finally after a month of requesting them - they delivered the furniture . On August 21st - that too with stuff missing and the stuff that was delivered was damaged as well . I talked to maggie and she said that we will file a claim and got a claims number. After talking to lady she redirected me to another company for their claims.

We ended up with a missing bedding sets. Lost screws for the table and the dresser. Damaged chairs. Damaged table, damaged sofa (pictures enclosed)

Here I am August 26th - tired of their bullshit. I have called their office number alot of times and still no answer. Beware of this company. They are BROKERS - they have no control over anything.
