I shipped antique furniture from Boston to Chicago. TSI was professional, affordable and delivered ahead of their promised delivery time frames. I used the white glove service and the movers picked up everything from my 65+ year old parents' house making it super easy for them. They then delivered and assembled the furniture in our house in Chicago. Everyone was very friendly throughout the scheduling and delivery process. Additionally, this great service was also the most affordable and straight-forward that I found. Other services were pricier and they also could not offer precise windows for pickup and delivery like TSI could. Bottom line, I would use them again for long distance shipping--even with items of great sentimental value like the antique furniture they delivered to me already.

Five years ago, I had given a green leather sofa to my cousin in Huntsville AL when I moved from my home in Atlanta to Memphis TN to be near family. At first we were living in retirement community and didn't have room for the sofa, although we kept the matching armchair and ottoman. When my husband died 15 months after the move, I moved into a larger apartment and needed a sofa. Shortly after my move, my cousin died and her husband decided to move to retirement community in FL, so I asked for the sofa back. Found TSI online, and they performed as advertised. A little pricy for one item, but of course it was worth it. The sofa arrived in perfect condition, and they even helped move my furniture to make room for it!

I recently arranged to move a chest of drawers from San Jose, California to New Jersey. The piece had been in our family for about 50 years and had great sentimental value for my sister. I did extended research on companies that would move a single piece of furniture. I found they were few and far between and some were extraordinarily expensive. TSI Moving Company offered white glove service at a very reasonable rate. Their representative who handled all the details of the move, Steve Sergeant, was excellent. He worked with us on scheduling , taking into account work schedules and a brief vacation. He explained costs and the delivery process quite thoroughly. We had no issues at all with a timely pickup and delivery. The movers were excellent-on time, careful with our furniture, quick and efficient. It arrived in perfect condition. We were completely satisfied and would highly recommend TSI Moving Company.

I recently worked with Phil Trendler from TSI to arrange a shipment of numerous desk parts and a desk chair from my sister's house in Illinois to New York. The entire process was a pleasure, from Phil's availablity and prompt responses to the pick up and delivery men who were very nice, professional, and respectful of our property. The communication from the company was exceptional and they picked up the shipment and delivered it as promised. A great company!

We had one family antique desk that needed to be moved from our son's house in Colorado Springs, CO to our home in Rockford, IL. I was happy I discovered TSI. It could make all arrangements to move just one piece. I described the piece and got a quote. However, later, when I was able to provide more info about the piece, I got a lower quote. The service was as described. Easy to work with, kept us ahead on timing, and treated our piece with care. The piece arrived in better than the proposed time and was delivered and set up well. It's not easy to find a way to ship just one piece of furniture. I recommend TSI for anyone looking for such a carrier.

I scheduled a move of 20 boxes through TSI from New York City to Las Vegas. They did not show up or call on the day they were supposed to pick up the shipment, so I had to pay an extra day of rent which they would not reimburse. The two boxes marked fragile on all sides were broken. One of the boxes containing a picture was lost. TSI would not reimburse me for any of these costs which came out to about $500 of damages. I spoke with Tom Tract and Steve who were both very nice in saying that these are common occurrences with the shipping company they contract with and that all these possibilities are in the contract I signed.

Our item took 52 transit days and was damaged. DON’T DO IT! Our item, a solid maple table with the legs detached for transport, was picked up on November 30th and did not deliver until February 14th. They charge you the entire transport fee upfront so it seems they have your money and therefore no incentive for them to follow through on anything. Contacting the company is pointless as they do not respond. We were left a message on January 10th informing us that damage had occurred and to contact “Annette” to discuss the issue. We called repeatedly and always got voicemail. We left a message for her on January 11th, she did not call back. We left another message on January 15th, no response. We called again on January 16th and the automated system said we could not leave a message because the voicemail box was full. We got ahold of the “local” dispatcher for the item (not really local at 170 miles away) to discuss and they said “you have to talk to Annette”. I left yet another message for Annette on February 9th. I’m still waiting for a response to any of the calls. Table finally arrived on February 14th, three of the four corners have either rub marks or are flat out chipped off. Given the damage and that it took 52 days (so much for 20 days) to get here, I feel we should get a partial refund as we certainly did not get the service we paid for. I’ll just hold my breath and wait for Annette to call, I’m sure it will be any day now, if the table took 52 days, maybe the phone call does as well?

I was very nervous using this service as I have had not so positive experiences with movers in the past. I only needed to move a mattress and box spring and TSI specialized in this! You made this so easy and everything went very smoothly. It was so easy and smooth , I was afraid I had not done something and called back to confirm but it was all good! Only one thing - I appreciate the link to the box supplier for the mattress/box spring but would have liked more online help in the actual direction on the actual boxing. At one point I found a video but then couldn't find it again. This could have been on the box site but it would be great to have that detail on the TSI site as well.

I am pleased to write about my great experience ce with Transit Systems.  I had to ship several items from Michigan to Washington. After receiving several transit quotes via email, Transit was the most reasonable. I contacted them and received excellent feedback on the process. A couple items were bulky, so Transit referred me to two resources for custom boxes. once I received the boxes and packaged the pieces, I contacted Transit for pickup. The original sales person wasn't in, but a backup was able to quickly locate my file and schedule a pickup. Pickup freight truck was on time and very cordial.  The shipment arrived on time, in excellent condition.   .
