So here's how it works. When you talk to their booking agent, you express concern whether their truck will fit in your complex, and they assure you that they have reviewed google maps and there should be no issues at all. You then ask what pick up date allows for your belongings to be delivered by September 6th, and they tell you August 20th will make that happen. So then you do not hear from them, and when you contact them asking when your things will arrive, they tell you they have no set plans right now, but you'll get your things at some point. Finally, after a month, they call to tell you that they are bringing your things, but there is no way their truck will fit, so you owe them about another thousand dollars. Your objects arrive with furniture heavily damaged and boxes water damaged and torn up. You make a claim on the damaged goods, and they tell you if you wanted them to take responsibility for your items that you should have paid them extra "insurance" money.

TLDR: this is absolutely the company to use if you want to pay thousands to have your items to disappear for 4 weeks and come to you damaged.

A family member recommended Trans Van Lines to us before our move and I couldn't be happier with the decision of choosing this company. I was fearful this large of a move would be difficult, but Trans Van Lines made it a breeze. The team members were friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure all of our items were handled with care. I had stressed prior to the move that I was extremely anxious about the breakable items being transported, such as the televisions and large picture frames, but I was reassured the items would be handled with caution. Once at our new home, I was so relieved to see that all of our belongings were without damage and completely intact. Trans Van Lines was by far one of the most professional companies I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

I connected with Trans Van Lines for a local move, and am happy to say they fulfilled my every need. I was out of my house a half hour earlier than I expected, and all of my things were cared for properly. I live by the saying you never can be to careful, and the people helping me move did not shrug off any of my concerns. Even the littlest things were tended to like putting mats under the furniture in order to keep the legs in good condition. I would recommend this company to family and friends who may be skeptical or even on a budget as the prices were fair and the movers were great.

My overall experience with this company was positive- no major complaints that I can think of. Customer service was polite and very helpful to me; the loaders were polite and professional as well. I had several boxes of antiques/sentimental items that I had been apprehensive about shipping from one state to another, but I didn't feel like I had to worry with these employees. Nothing was damaged either in transit or in unloading. Delivery took about as long as I expected, not sooner or later. Pricing was fair, and I'd consider using them again in the future.

I was looking for a moving company that would do long distance move due to me having to move from Michigan to Texas. That's when I stumbled upon this wonderful company.

Customer Service: Right from the beginning I knew that I had made the right choice going with them. The young lady that I talked to to schedule the move was so friendly and helpful. She made sure that I fully understood the contract and and told me the final price for the move would be 2500 dollars. She even called to verify the move was still on for the date we had set up.

Pickup: There was two gentleman that came to load up the house. We had been ready to move so we already had everything boxed up and labeled and stacked in the front room and garage which they thanked us for doing and proceeded to load it all up. It didn't take them any time at all and they were done. Both men were very respectful and took care when handling our belongings.

Drop-off: The customer service lady that set up the pickup and contract was the same one that helped us set up the delivery date and time. They made it very convenient for us. Again they were the people delivering our stuff were every bit as courteous as the one that picked it up. They even went as far as to put the stuff that was labeled in the rooms that it belonged in.

Moving is stressful and overwhelming. But this company made it easy and stress-free. I hope I never have to move again but if I do I will definitely be in touch with them. And I would recommend them to anyone that has to do a long distance move. They are reasonable on prices and everyone we dealt with was respectful and helpful.

Trans Van Lines has been incredibly helpful in making my move so much smoother. I've moved around often and know how much of a hassle the entire process can be. It's so nice to be able to have the packing and moving of all your belongings taken care of by professional and courteous workers. I've used other moving companies in the past and have only recently decided to try out Trans Van, and I can honestly say that they're great at what they do. Everything from my last move was handled and taken care of properly. Everything was paid careful attention, packaged accordingly, and arrived at my new home without any incident. For anyone looking to find a professional moving company that works efficiently and effectively, I would recommend Trans Van. I will definitely consider them again for any future moves I have.

Trans Van Lines played a crucial part in my moving experience. Between the appliances and furniture, I had quiet a bit to move, and Trans Van Lines took care of it all. Everything was done perfectly. The boxes were all packaged safely and accordingly, all my items were transported to my new home with no issues at all! I was weary about trusting a company to move my personal belongings and items such a long distance, but Trans Van Lines proved me wrong and gained my trust. I would definitely use them again for any future moves.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Bait and switch, unprofessional liars who don't take credit cards. I consider myself intelligent, but the stress of the move must have dulled my brain. I should have read the reviews, I should have checked the Better Business Bureau, I should have read the estimate, contract and any legal obligations or restrictions on the moving industry. They do everything just as horribly as legally permissible.

I have moved a lot; locally and across state. I chose Trans Van because they were the least expensive and the lady had been really nice and seemed helpful. From the moment I hired them, it all went downhill. They didn't call 24 hours before pick up with the time they would arrive. Only after I emailed the day of pick up did they call to give me the window within which they would arrive that day. When the pickup crew arrived, my price more than doubled. Trans Van has responded by saying that it is normal as oftentimes things are under-reported by the customer. BS. The weight the lady gave me during the phone estimate, was right at what my previous interstate moves had been. Day of, the delivery team was pricing off of square footage, not weight. You have to agree to the new price before the truck is loaded. When the truck was loaded, it was at best 2/3 full and the square footage wasn't nearly what they had me paying and they wouldn't lower the amount to reflect actual square footage. They don't take credit cards for anything but the $400 payment to reserve. Additionally, if you don't have everything, including TV's and mirrors in a box (instead of wrapped) they will put it in a box and then charge you for the box and for packing it. I was told at booking that the delivery date would be agreed upon with the pickup guys at the time of pick up. We set a date. When my furniture didn't arrive, I called and they said there was no guaranteed delivery date and emailed a little chart that showed for my distance of move it would be 1-7 days. After 7 days passed, I called again and they gave me a delivery window (obviously outside of the 7 days) and stated that the fine print said it would be based on how long it took in the past. Huh, then why set a date with the pickup team, why send your little chart? When the delivery team didn't call 24 hours before the last day of the delivery window (which they said would happen) I called again. They said there had been a delay and it would be Sunday between 2 and 5. When I asked them to try to have it done earlier because they were well outside what I had been told, they said legally they had 21 days to deliver and I should be happy I was well within 21 days. Throughout this time, I got emails and calls reminding me to have my balance in cash or money order for when the delivery team arrived. Sunday, delivery day, they called one hour before 2 pm to say they were running behind and it would be after 6 pm. Once again, outside of the delivery window. Then they called back an hour later to make sure we would have our balance when they arrived. Really?

They finally arrived at 7:45 pm. At midnight (after I noticed they were struggling to put my daughter's bed together) they said they weren't allowed to assemble children's bed. What they aren't allowed to do is bunk bunk beds. Noone had mentioned they wouldn't reassemble bunk beds but was familiar with that restriction from other moves. After calling them out on that BS, they assembled the bottom double bed with my husband and myself helping. They did not assemble the other bed. Fortunately, unlike other reviews, all my stuff arrived with typical damage, but nothing unexpected or devastating.

Side note: when you call, they don't know what a mute button is so you might get a little offended by what they say about you and your stuff while waiting for someone to pick up. Also, don't ask for a supervisor or manager, you will just keep getting the same people.
