What a goat rope this has been. Have waited for three days for a truck to show up and still no truck. Have been fed lines of crap everyday now. Gonna end up moving my own shit again! DO NOT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1750

The team of Tierney Van Lines arrived just on time at our house and quickly got about moving our furniture and boxes. Even though there were considerably more items than I had thought, they were able to move the extra pieces without fuss for an agreed additional payment. They unloaded quickly and easily and even managed to get our bed into the new apartment. The team was polite, friendly and accommodating. They were very swift and efficient at their jobs. My move went absolutely easily because of these guys.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2100

We had a very good experience with Tierney Van Lines from start to finish. Everyone was very nice, easy to work with and professional state side. My experience at my old place, with the movers sent from the company, was also very good. I felt informed about the process along the way via email and everything arrived here in good condition, with nothing broken. The movers from the company were nice, helpful and efficient. The price was very reasonable. All in all a very good experience and we would use this company again.

I do not recommend this company! Booking the move and paying my deposit was fairly easy, the problem was repeated lack of communication.

My move was delayed for two days the morning I was expecting pick up (that was upsetting of course, but not the issue).

Six times in 3 days (from different employees and 2 supervisors) I was told I’d receive a phone call at a certain time to update me on my move so I set aside time to take those calls and no one called. All six times.

I explained each time I set up a new call time that I hadn’t been contacted at the last arranged time and they say they understand and apologize and then continue to not call.

Their customer service was a joke. After I’d paid a $1200 deposit I can’t get a call returned when they say they’ll call, 6 times.

Why would I trust them to complete my move and pay them more money when they’ve demonstrated they can’t keep their word.

I cancelled my move and emailed the address they provided asking for a portion of my deposit back and again I got no response from that email.

I called 2 weeks later to follow up and they say they won’t refund me any amount but will credit my deposit, good for 3 years. I asked for a receipt or some proof of this credit and was told “it’ll be in our system, just call us” I continued to ask for some proof this credit exists today or in 3 years and was told they’d have to talk to management to get back to me. No surprise, I haven’t heard back yet.

I do not recommend this company.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1236

They will promise you the world and deliver on nothing. They seem to hide behind temporary google phone numbers.

The sales jockeys will run down everything, provide a low ball estimate and a pseudo amazing cost. From there they hand you off to a "quality" agent to review the items. The quality agent never called.

Once they get your money they post on a bid central moving board with a low ball offer that only the worst movers will pick up.

We accommodated the movers request to reschedule 3 times. The third reschedule was for a Saturday morning. We received a call 10 minutes before the scheduled window was coming to a close. The movers needed to reshedule for late afternoon.

We were on the fourth reschedule. Of course the movers called that they were running late. The office was closed. After several voice mails, emails to every address on the website, Paul called and said he would resolve the issue.

More empty words as we never heard back from him.

It was too late. we had to be out of the house by a certain date and couldn't wait any longer.

They surely kept the money and we never received anything but empty promises and no service.

I have 17 state to state moved under my belt. Tierney Van Lines knew all the right lingo to get my business. DO NOT BE FOOLED.

We found another service that bent over backwards for us. We called the new company on a Monday and by that Wednesday afternoon our household goods were on a truck. Good companies are out there,

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

My move was from Pasadena, CA to Greenville, SC. A one bedroom apartment. Not a lot of furniture. The original estimate was $2,500. A week before the move, I called to confirm and I went through a detailed review of my moving estimate. Suddenly it went up to $3,500. Fine. It's a little late to change movers. I had already paid them $1,200 down. Balance would be $2,300 (half due when they picked up, the balance when they delivered)>. The movers (a locally contracted company) arrived on the scheduled day. When everything was loaded, the said I owed them $2,100, not $1,200. Suddenly the total for the move was $5,000, twice the original estimate. What could I do. I had to pay it. The movers arrived in Greenville on the scheduled day. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, the lost a large bookshelf, a large area rug, a coffee table, a floor lamp and $750 worth of CDs that I was selling. The mover also tried to deliver items that did not belong to me, including a 52" television. He had no idea who it belonged to. I called Tierney. They said to call the claims office. They didn't even offer to try and locate the missing items. What, did they disappear into thin air? The claims office required receipts for all the items that were lost. Items that I had purchased years ago. I don't keep receipts that long. I sent 2 more complaints to Tierney. No response. I filed a complaint with BBB. They sent it to Tierney. No response. There was no communication between Tierney and the local movers they contracted. The movers said that Tierney's sales people were terrible estimators. They lowballed everything just to get my business. If you see good reviews for Tierney, they were probably posted by Tierney employees. These guys are jerks.

I notice my last review was deleted so I am writing this AGAIN. My mother, who has Alzheimers, called this company about a long distance move. They got a $1400 deposit from her. We had no idea she'd done this and she promptly forgot. We ended up putting everything on a UHaul and moving it ourselves. When I discovered this deposit while going through her bank statements later I called and was told we'd missed the cancelation window. They flat out refused to refund the money so they got $1400 for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This company is an absolute sham, is NOT accredited by the BBB and should be avoided at all cost.

Never showed up and lied to me repeatedly. They were due to pick up no later than today but decided to reschedule me outside of my move window without consulting me. After they realized they'd accidentally admitted this, they started telling me "Dispatch is working hard to fix this for you but she can't get hold of the driver. We'll call you back in an hour." This was their response for 8 hours and they never once called me. Even when they were scheduled to close in 30 minutes, they still claimed they'd have things sorted out if I called back in an hour...

A complete scam and outright liars that only communicate up to the point that they've received money from you.
