Long-distance move from Burlington, IA to Lake Jackson, TX

Run Away From These Shysters.

Fraudulent bait and switch company. My original estimate from Kevin was $5700. This was in keeping with the move we'd made three years ago. I specifically asked if they are the actual movers and that they don't contract the move out to someone else. Kevin said yes.

I asked if our household belongings would stay on the truck. Kevin said yes. I had to lay $2000 to lock it in. So I felt goo about the move.

However, 5 days before our move, Johnathan Bailey, their "quality assurance" guy, jacked up our estimate to $12,000 after we did a room-by-room inventory. I asked Johnathan why didn't Kevin do this with the first estimate, because if he had and come back with a quote of $12,000, I would have run for the hills. Johnathan presented me with no answers. So with a stroke of his hand, he nullified the original estimate, of which I had already paid a non-refundable deposit. So even if I declined to approve the new estimate, I would have lost $2000. Since they had 2k of our money, I felt trapped.

To add insult to injury, Johnathan Bailey took out another $2000 without my permission. He took my ACH information, but he gave me the impression that would be done on moving day..which is standard.

On moving day, the van arrived, and the foreman jacked it up to $17,000, saying the cubic feet was even more than estimated. Mind you, these were plain white trucks, not Superior Moving trucks with their logo. We found out that they do, indeed, contract out their moves to other contractors, and they're free to jack up the price even higher.

Keep in mind that they don't accept credit cards, and now I know why. They use your ACH information to steal the money out of your account and leave you powerless to take any recourse to protect yourself.

Long-distance move from Redmond, WA to Tucson, AZ

Move from Washington to Tucson.

I can't add anything that hasn't already been said in many of these reviews. Our experience was horrible. Nothing but a scam company. Zero concern for the customer. No communication unless they want more money. Promises for pickup not kept, promises fro price reduction not kept, and phone calls and email not returned. Do not give this company your money. Once they have your down payment and your goods, you are at their mercy. I don't know who is writing good reviews, but it can't be real customers. Tis was the worst company I have ever dealt with on any service. I don't even think they are areal moving company. From our information, they are a moving broker that outsources the move once the sale is made. DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR MOVE!!

Long-distance move from Seattle, WA to Chapel Hill, NC

Miserable experience.

Our experience with Supreme has been miserable, and we strongly encourage everyone to use a different company.

Our pick-up was a disaster. We stated we needed to be out by the 31st, a Monday, and were told it would be no problem to schedule a pick up for Saturday. We got one brief confusing call on Friday, but nobody showed up on Saturday. Or Sunday. We called and called but didn't get through until Monday. That day, with excuses that the driver had mechanical problems, we were told someone would arrive by Monday afternoon. When nobody arrived on Monday, we had to extend our lease and change our flights, at significant expense. The pick up finally happened on Tuesday. Supreme's estimation tool underestimated our load by 25%, leading to a significant increase in price. In storage or when being transferred between trucks, our things were badly damaged or lost. Our furniture must have been dragged and thrown. Despite being wrapped carefully in blankets by the first driver every piece bares dents, scratched surfaces, or missing hardware. One chair, unfortunately one with sentimental value, had a wrung cracked and ripped out. That broken piece was lost. It will cost as much to replace as to repair. The boxes, if they weren't deeply punctured by the legs of flying furniture, were stacked under so much weight they were crushed. Our bed frame (custom, hand-made, solid hardwood) and mattress were misplaced or put in a different shipment. It has been three weeks and there is still no indication from anyone that they have been located. We suspect we will not see them again.

Throughout the process Supreme's customer service has been terrible. We spent the entire first weekend calling but never received a response. In fact, after the initial sales phase, they have never contacted us. Their Customer Service team has never returned a single phone call or email. We estimate we left approximately 20 voicemails for every time that we actually got through. We had to stop accepting promises and instead insist they make inquiries or send forms while we were on the phone with them. We never received any notification from Supreme about when our delivery would be; we had to find the driver's number by contacting the carrier he works for. Our belongings arrived 2.5 weeks after our scheduled date, and 6 weeks after our pick up. When we resorted to tracking down the drivers they were, to their credit, courteous and helpful. When we tried to contact Supreme about damaged and missing items we had to speak with three people, and leave multiple unanswered voicemails and emails, to even receive the claims form. We are not optimistic about any of our costs being covered.

Furthermore, every single person involved in our move cast the blame elsewhere - sales blamed dispatch, dispatch blamed the carriers, the carriers blamed the drivers, the drivers blamed the warehouse, and the warehouse is unreachable. This may be true throughout the industry, but every Supreme employee feigned personal offense if we asked them to take some responsibility.

Our primary advice to Supreme is to communicate. When we said we had to be out by the 31st, don't say "okay, let's do the 29th," say, "to be safe let's give it a week." When a truck has mechanical problems, call us so we don't spend all weekend waiting to see if perhaps you'll arrive. Let us know about the progress of our delivery on the first scheduled delivery date. If you don't have those details, help us contact the subcontractors directly; don't make us figure out how to track down our belongings ourselves. You promised we'd receive information in a few hours about what's going on with our missing items. It's been weeks - isn't it time to follow up? Most importantly answer your voicemails, answer your emails. We are understanding that coordinating a shipment across the country can have challenges, and that not every box will arrive in pristine condition. But we are less understanding when you fail to communicate at all, and give hollow promises when we do manage to get in touch with you. If you did these things, your call center wouldn't be so swamped. Your people would be more courteous. You would have more time to be reaching out to make other customers happy - a virtuous cycle.

Our advice to other customers is to listen to what other people in the moving industry have since told us: use a large national moving company. Yes, they too can have delays and other issues, but there are several reasons why they are more likely to get you your things safely. Most of these companies will do a walkthrough of your house and give you a binding estimate, to ensure you are not surprised by additional fees. They hire their owner/operator drivers directly, so there are fewer layers of subcontractors to deal with. The drivers cover your belongings under their own insurance, so they keep it safe. Often the driver does both the loading and unloading, so there are no excuses about damage caused by someone else. The drivers are paid by weight and distance, so they are encouraged to drop off your items promptly. Other things to do.. Nobody has much incentive to pick up on time, so give yourself a buffer on that end. And try to be present whenever someone touches your belongings. This may mean packing your items yourself in a pod, or hiring your own team to transfer items between trucks. In any case, do not use Supreme.

I was so confused when getting clothes for my upcoming move but after speaking to Jason at supreme moving and storage he really broke I have a "worked with the inventory and that I was finding to my items once I was able to understand everything work he had me give them a list of what I was taking on the trip and on the day of the move I wind up having less boxes And the Price went down $200 .. I was picked up and delivered within six days which after reading about moving companies seem to be really quick I was happy everything got there in one piece the movers were great and very polite. I'd recommend supreme moving and storage to anyone looking for a company who is not a broker. Thanks a lot guys did great.

Nightmare Move.

I posted a review previously and I wanted to provide a follow up. I never received all of my belongings and I had a number of items damaged in the move. Tried to contact Supreme Moving and they still never answer the phone. I have left numerous messages and no one has ever gotten back to me. This company is a joke! Not sure what to do next. Hopefully the guys that moved me are enjoying our Waterford, i’m Afraid that I will never see it. Giving them a poor rating is being much to generous.

I contract it's a pre-moving and storage less minute to pick up my family out of Florida and deliver us to humble Texas. But Jason it's a pre-moving and storage told me that no matter what they would have one of their trucks pick me up he even showed me a DOT department of transportation website that shows that they were a mover not a broker people this is a really good tool to use. They packed up my whole home so good.. thanks so much!! The movers where so professional!! Thanks so much!! ??

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to San Francisco, CA

Move from Chicago to San Francisco.

I hired Supreme moving and storage for a move from Chicago to SanFrancisco . I researched for a week and a half ab how not to be scammed. Went to protect your move, checked the U.S. Dot #and MC #, looked up rating on BBB and called numerous moving companies. One thing I didn't do was call the Illinois moving association. A lesson I learned , always call the state moving association to find a reputable moving company. This company appeared to have legit status, but they are far from that. They ask for a deposit up front which I learned is a Big no no and red flag if a company does this.We paid a deposit in cash of $855. Our total move cost was estimated at $2449.As the moving association said, they will have your furniture and belongings until delivery, why do they need a deposit. Everything seemed legit, they have a binding moving estimate and act so nice when booking your move . However!! After they have your deposit you get no info on your move, they lie about when and what time they will arrive or as in our case they Never Arrive.I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior in all my life! Their motto should be lie lie lie!! Please please whatever you do Don't hire Supreme Moving and Storage. It appears as though they have some good reviews , but I'm not so sure why or the legitimate state of those! Again save yourself the trauma and Don't hire Supreme Moving and Storage, you will have many regrets!!

Long-distance move from Colorado to New Jersey

Liars liars and liars - oh my.

This company is a broker - not a mover.

The rep totally misrepresented everything about the company and my move.

The rep stated the estimate is generous - when the movers arrived additional 1500. The rep said Supreme was the door to sore mover - bull sh*t. They used Safeway. The rep said - no shuttle will be used - they used one. Addional 500.

So - just book Safeway. They are nicer and deliver your stuff anyway.

Long-distance move from Washington to North Carolina

No Communication - Terrible Servce.

The movers said they would come this weekend to pick up our things. We reserved the service elevator in our building for two 4 hour slots, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. On Friday afternoon, Cynthia called us to confirm that the driver had reached out. He hadn't. Cynthia said somebody would get back to us soon.

That was the last we heard from anyone. I called several times on Friday afternoon, Saturday all day and Sunday.

Jack, who sold us the move, only sent the number for the scheduling office when I emailed him about the problem. He then did not answer or return my calls. The numerous messages left for the scheduling department were not returned. Nobody offered an emergency contact number for the weekend.

Beware of the positive reviews. I even went with supreme's slightly higher bid because of the reviews that they had received. I was certainly duped! I will updated the review if/when they remedy the situations, which now looks like it will delay the move out from our apartment, and will cost us at least an extra few hundred dollars.

Terrible experience so far!! Please pick somebody else.

Long-distance move from California to Virginia

Communication Nightmare.

I contracted Supreme Moving and Storage to move my deceased mothers belongings from Redding, CA to Williamsburg, VA in February 2017. I was given a quote and accepted the contract. I put a third of the total bill down as a deposit in March of 2017 with the agreement that the move would be happening the summer of 2017. When I contacted the company in July to set the move date they gave me a move date of August 23-24 with a more precise time to follow that week based on their availability. The called with a date. My sister had made a special trip to CA from her home in Kodiak, AK to take care of this move for no one to show up at the proposed time. I called and left several messages the next day for them to finally call me back and say that northern CA was difficult for them. They did not inform me of this at time of contract, they said we may have to cancel the move or they said they would have someone there on August 26th. Again no one showed. I called Monday August 28th to inquire the status. They then told me that the quote was produced my an employee that was underbidding jobs. But never contacted me about the misquote. They said they would do this move for me at the contracted price and get back to me with a day for the move. When I called today August 29th to get information about the move I was told that this is harassment and then hung up on. I just want a refund so I can move with a more customer service oriented company. I was told the first time they offered to cancel that I would receive a refund. Today they said they didn't know how to give a refund.
