Superior Moving and Storage

Worst experience I have ever had.
All of what you read here and other internet sites about this company are true to the detail.
Attempted fraud by additional billing
Totally inexperienced driver.
Not a moving van, we got a freight van that smelled awful.
Anthony never available when I called.
He threatened to put our belongings in storage and tie it up in Broward courts for a couple of years.
Demanded payment in advance and then billed my credit card an additional $5,000.
CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!

Service cost: $7900

I contracted with Superior Moving & Storage (MC #370277, DOT #837931) based out of Pompano Beach, Fl. During my move I had several negative experiences with the company including multiple times when they were in breach of their contract. On August 6, following our conversation I was sent an updated Order for Service (binding agreement) which included the following information:
* Pick up Date- August 6-12, 2011
* Total Weight- 3,000 lbs.
* Total Cost- $2767.18
Both of the binding estimates above included the following statement in a list of services included:
* "Blanket and Stretch Wrapping/protection of standard furniture.
Whereas my contract stated that the latest pick up date was August 12 I contacted Superior on August 10 to inquire about the status of my move as I had not heard from the company. I was notified that the truck was broken down and unable to pick me up but that it would arrive August 13 or possibly August 14. I contacted Superior, and spoke with Ben, on the 12th. I was told that they had rerouted another truck and that I would be pick up by the 14th at the latest. August 15 I contacted Lauren at Superior Moving and was told that she was unaware that I had been told that the truck would arrive over the weekend. Lauren stated that the truck was near and would arrive by 1:00 p.m. At 2:30 pm I called Lauren. Lauren clarified that the truck would arrive by Wednesday at the latest. I explained that I was required to vacate my property on August 12 and that I had already negotiated to make accommodations for the extra two days. The evening of August 15 Lauren called to notify me that a truck would pick up my shipment the morning of August 16.
August 16, Rob with Superior Moving arrives to load my shipment. When reviewing the provided paperwork I had several questions and called Lauren to clarify before signing the documents. Specifically, I inquired about the Full Replacement Value Liability coverage and was explicitly told that coverage did not exist and the only option available was the $.60/pound option. I also noticed that the weight listed was 5,000 pounds (up from the originally quoted 3000 pounds). Prior to signing the documents I made note on the documents of our conversation and its' discrepancy from the paperwork.
At pick up all furniture was blanket wrapped and taped. All items were loaded into a 27' box truck and the process went smoothly.
When truck arrived August 28, furniture was no longer wrapped and had experience significant damage. August 29, I called Superior to attempt to resolve the dispute. Superior offered no explanation and simply stated that they would mail me a copy of the claim form. I was told that the claim form could not be sent electronically and must be received hard copy. When explaining the situation to the representative on the phone I was told that I must be lying and that the furniture was likely unwrapped on the truck as it was being brought in. I spoke with a male and also with Lauren. When speaking with the male he informed me that the maximum replacement cost would be the $0.60/pound. I explained that would not be sufficient due to their breach of contract. I was told, "There was no breach of contract. You told me your side of the story. I am certain when I speak to the driver they will tell me the real story. I am not just out to screw people." I notified the representative that I would be disputing the charges through my credit card company and he responded, "You will fail. In 10-12 days I will have my payment. I have been in this business over 20 years and nobody has ever been successful in doing that. If you don't like it then you'll have to come to Florida to file legal charges." I requested that the appropriate forms be sent and ended the phone conversation before being further berated.

I received a response from Superior on 9/21 that stated that they would only pay $180 for the damages. The claimed that after speaking with the driver I am lying and that all items were wrapped. Despite the fact that the driver signed the bill of lading on which I stated that items were not wrapped. They refuse to offer any additional funding and completely deny violating their own contract while trying to hold me accountable for it. I also filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and the response sent by Superior Moving was completely falsified and contradictory to all documention I possess.

Our experience with Superior Moving & Storage was an excellent one! We could not be happier with the professionalism and service we received with this company. I had a 3 bedroom home completely filled with furniture and boxes. Definitely not a task I could have handled on my own.  Superior Moving has to be the Best Moving company I have ever used.  I originally spoke to a rep on the phone who provided me with the perfect size truck, date, and time and let me tell you, she was on point. I highly recommend this company. I have already referred them to family and friends who also had great experiences with Superior. .

This is the 3rd time we are using Superior Moving & Storage. We have moved both locally and long distance with this company. This last move we could not have asked for a nicer crew to take care of our move. The guys were professional and courteous, and worked very efficiently to pack and unpack everything. Nothing was broken and I still can't believe everything got loaded onto the truck in such a timely fashion. The estimator did a great job and was very professional, advising us of how the move would take place. These guys did a tremendous job, cleaned up after themselves and were very polite and personable. Very pleased with the whole moving experience from the start to the end. I highly recommend Superior Moving & Storage.

I searched on Google and interviewed a few moving companies. I decided to use Superior Moving & Storage in Pompano. Out of all the companies, they had the most positive reviews and have been around for a long time, over 20 years which was impressive. I found my customer service rep, Lauren, to be very professional and helpful. I had to change my move date several times due to work commitments and she was understanding and courteous each time. The movers were better than anyone could ask for. They were super-nice guys, very helpful, and they seemed to have a lot of experience moving. I was very impressed with all the services Superior Moving provided for me. I will definitely use them for any future moves.

Superior Moving & Storage in Florida made moving a lot easier. The trucks put at our disposal were big so we had no problem fitting in our large items or the amount of stuff we have accumulated over the last few decades. The staff was polite, efficient, and friendly both on the phone and when they came to our house. They took great care of our items, none of them broke or had any damage when we unpacked. Last, when comparing the costs to other moving companies we contacted before choosing Superior Moving, I honestly believe I got the best bang for my buck. Not only did we get a great price, but we received top notch services. I would definitely advise anyone moving to use Superior Moving!!

Our move was completed a few weeks ago, Superior Moving & Storage was fantastic. This is the 2nd time we have used Superior Moving & Storage, both times went well. And we will continue to use them if we have any future moves! From start to finish, they were on time and all of their delivery dates were accurate. The crew truly took care of my belongings with complete care. I will refer all of my friends to Superior Moving & Storage. They definitely deserve a gold star!

We chose Superior Moving & Storage to do our second long distance move this summer. Our first experience wasn't great with Bekins, so I assumed all moving companies were the same. Not true. Superior Moving & Storage was wonderful. We chose it based on price, it was the lowest of the 3 companies with which we had estimates done. But besides the price being the best, the service was also “superior” to the others as well. From start to finish it was a breeze. Our stuff was packed carefully and professionally and delivered only a few days later. Couldn't get that kind of service from a chain moving company. The moving men were also very pleasant, professional, and personable. We had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend Superior Moving. .

Concert Grand Piano!! We have a huge 9 ft. Steinway piano that’s been handed down from my grandmother and in the family for years. We also have numerous antiques. Superior Moving & Storage sent over a crew a day before we were scheduled to move to crate and box all of our valuables. They built special wooden crates for our antiques and bubble wrapped all of our artwork. 100% without a doubt highly trained professionals. They knew exactly what they were doing. They came with the proper equipment, and took the Piano apart and placed it on a specialized board for moving Pianos. During the whole process the lead guy explained step by step what he was doing and how the Piano needed to be moved. Very impressive!! All of our items made it safely to our destination, and I can't thank Superior Moving enough for getting everything moved into our new home and being so careful with our items. Definitely did a wonderful job. .

Over the last 5 years my family has always used Superior Moving when it comes to moving around. They always are honest and give us a good deal. My sister used them about 6 months ago and everything went well. I just recently moved again, unfortunately I had to down size, and they were very patient trying to fit a lot of items into a smaller home. They did a very good job and used care in handling my belongings. I am always thankful for the services they provide. I would definitely endorse this company, they are definitely Superior Movers.
