The best thing I can say, they were so chill.

We used this company to help us load our moving truck. The best thing I can say, they were so chill. Me and my husband were stressed, moving does that, and these guys being so cool helped calm us down.

Kevin and his crew made moving day a breeze.

Kevin and his crew made moving day a breeze. They were very nice and professional. They wrapped all my items and handled everything with care. They even managed to get everything moved in one trip. I really appreciated them unloading the furniture to the rooms and places it needed to be in, it saved me a ton of work. They definitely went above and beyond to be helpful. I would highly recommend them for your next move.

I would highly recommend this company.

The 4 guys who came to my home were friendly, communicative, careful, efficient, and incredibly strong. They were on time, and since they finished a bit before my minimum was over, they offered to do other heavy jobs for us, which we happily accepted. Clearly went above and beyond. Also, scheduling and dealing with the office was very straightforward. I would highly recommend this company.

Found this one most honest and professional.

After researching for 70 movers and packers.

Found this one most honest and professional.

There are hundreds of things they are doing in a really professional way that they don't even brag about.

Just read your contract properly and you should be more than happy with their service.

I have recommended it to many of my close friends and they are happy with it to..

Just best one in the market there is.. hope they don't increase their bit higher price than market

Moving is stressful, especially out of state.

Moving is stressful, especially out of state. I interviewed 6 companies and went with Summit Van Lines, and I’m glad I did. I’m a tough but fair person on reviews since it often helps others do their research and make a decision. Hands down I had the best experience with the team at Summit. They are a very professional team and if you want piece of mind on your move, the choice is simple, choose them. Sammy the sales guy is a wealth of information and experience, I was sold the day I met him. The support team is on all the time, Katie and Vered is quick to help and follow up, and most importantly the crew that packed , loaded me up was fantastic. If you want to get others to quote, don’t waste your time, most are brokers anyway, take the stress off and go with Summit.

Tovers and Kevin were amazing!

Tovers and Kevin were amazing! On time, efficient, wrapped everything to prevent damage, took great care. Very professional. They let me know what could save time yet didn’t rush the job. Summit Van Lines was referred to me by a friend who has used them a few times, and I’m so glad I ended up choosing them for my move. Highly recommend

It felt like a team that genuinely takes pride in their work.

The most memorable thing for me was the attitude of the movers. Katie handled all communication professionally from day one, setting the tone. Tovers and his crew carried that same attitude into the actual work, calm, respectful, and focused. Even when the workload increased toward the end, they didn’t lose energy or attention to detail. It felt like a team that genuinely takes pride in their work.

When Things Went Wrong, They Made Everything Right

I booked this move while dealing with a hectic work schedule and expected at least a few headaches along the way. Instead, Katie made the planning process surprisingly simple. Every email was answered quickly, and she kept everything organized from start to finish. When moving day arrived, Tovers introduced the crew, reviewed the plan, and got right to work. What impressed me most was how carefully they handled a collection of antique furniture that has been in my family for decades. Everything arrived safely, and the entire experience felt far more professional than any moving service I've used before.

I was genuinely impressed by their dedication and teamwork.

Moving from a third-floor apartment without an elevator sounded like a nightmare. Thankfully, Vered was incredibly helpful during the scheduling process and made sure every detail was covered beforehand. Kevin arrived with a positive attitude and led a hardworking crew that never complained despite countless trips up and down the stairs. They wrapped furniture properly, protected fragile items, and worked efficiently all day long. By the time everything was unloaded, I was genuinely impressed by their dedication and teamwork.

No chaos, no yelling, just quiet efficiency.

I'll be honest, I expected something to go wrong because that’s just how moving usually goes for me. But it didn’t. I talked to Katie first and she didn’t sound scripted or pushy, which already felt different. On moving day, Kevin (the foreman) showed up with the crew and just took control in a calm way. No chaos, no yelling, just quiet efficiency. By the end of it, I realized I hadn’t stressed once, which is honestly a first.

A moving company that truly kept its promises.

I contacted several moving companies before making a decision, and Katie was the reason I chose this one. She was informative without being pushy and took time to answer questions other companies brushed aside. On moving day, Patrick managed the crew with confidence and kept everyone focused. The move involved two separate pickup locations, yet everything stayed organized from beginning to end. It was refreshing to work with a team that actually delivered on what they promised during the booking process.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

What started as a last-minute move turned out far better than expected. Vered helped secure a date on short notice and stayed in touch right up until moving day. Kevin and the crew arrived exactly when promised and got straight to work. I was particularly impressed by how efficiently they loaded the truck while still taking precautions with delicate items. Their organization prevented unnecessary delays, and everything reached the new home in excellent condition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Hassle-free office relocation experience.

Our office relocation involved desks, filing cabinets, electronics, and years of accumulated equipment. Sammy conducted the estimate thoroughly and understood the complexity of the project right away. On moving day, Tovers coordinated the crew effectively and made sure everything was labeled and placed correctly at the new location. Downtime was kept to a minimum, which was extremely important for our business. The move was completed efficiently, allowing us to get back to work much sooner than expected.

Consistency throughout the entire process.

What stood out most wasn’t any single moment but the consistency throughout the entire process. Katie kept communication clear from beginning to end, so I never felt unsure about what was happening next. Tovers and the movers worked with the same level of focus from the first box to the last item. Even at the end of a long day, they remained polite and careful. That consistency made the whole experience feel dependable and professional.

Summit Movers Disgraceful.

Worst moving experience in 40 years. I served 25 years in the military and made lots of moves. The move with Summit was far beyond bad. There were problems in communication. Lucky I speak Russian so I was able to talk with the driver. The crew was late and had no energy.
I had packed everything, but moving the boxes and furniture to the truck took forever.  Despite the slowness I was able to make my plane. When the shipment finally arrived at the destination, two book cases were damaged beyond repair, the headboard had a 3 inch gash in it, a decorative wine rack has several welds broken and the finish was scraped off. The finials for the piece were also missing. Two of the boxes were soaked with condensation from within the van. It is clear from the condition of the furniture that nothing was tied down during the last segment of their deliveries. Don't deal with these people. The office crew is also reprehensible.
When I tried to invoke a portion of the contract that would have saved me money, the disagreed said that was not how the contract should be interpreted. After further discussion I was told to have the cash ready on delivery. Cash only.  The 'interpretation' of the contract was paramount to extortion. Yes, I said extortion. For future client, be aware they will hold your belonging hostage until they get what they want. You've been warned. Beware!  .

Long-distance move from Delray Beach, FL to Nashville, TN

Horrible Experience.

Summit Van Lines moved us from Florida to Tennessee at a cost of $11,000. Only after the driver left did we discover the damaged property and missing box. To the tune of approx $10,000 to repair or replace. TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Short story regarding our claim: since we did not identify these damages on the day of delivery, we were out of luck. And this after having paid additional $1,000 for replacement insurance.
Summit was dismissive, unprofessional, and totally deserving of my ZERO STARS rating.

Find someone else.

Packing:wardrobe boxes, were turned upside down in truck. One had no bar, clothes on hangers just thrown in with other things on top.

Areas started packing then move to something else. I had to go behind them call attention to missed items.

Legs and remotes for beds not packed with bed.

Left all their trash behind.

Unload: day late and could think of nothing but getting to the next job. Boxes not put in right rooms.

Desk and entertainment center damaged. Given different stories as how to get reimbursed. Bet I never do.

Moving company.

We got 3 quotes and summit did their best to match our best quote and sent Sammy around twice to ensure his estimate was correct.
After choosing Summit, we decided to pack our own boxes and adjusted our quote easily on the phone with Charlie, who was very patient and always confirmed changes to our verbal estimate in an email, along with an updated estimate.
Prior to moving day they called to confirm. Our 3 movers were strong professional men who worked hard and were very respectful of our home and belongings. They came back the second day as planned and worked for the 17 hours that had been estimated, although they probably did more like 19 but we were not charged anymore than the estimate.
Quincy (head mover) was very personable and provided 5 wardrobe boxes as well as wrapping for the over large picture frames and TV that Sammy had said they would help us pack.
If you use this company don't forget to feed the guys and provide cold water as they work so hard and such long hours with little time off. I hope you will tip then too!
The communication and follow up from this company was outstanding.
We packed ourselves using Home Depot and uhaul boxes. The kits from uhaul (kitchenware and glasses), as well as additional wardrobe boxes are money well spent. You can order online through uhaul.com and shipping is free- but will take a week or so.

Nothing but frustration since delivery date of June 29018.

Summit Van lines handled our move from Florida to Georgia. The initial pack and pickup was no problem. However since our delivery date of June 29th; we have encountered nothing but frustration to the point that I now must speak out.
When we moved; we selected the increased valuation of $10,000.00 vs a standard valuation of .60 per pound. Meaning if there were losses or damages(many) that the industry standard would have paid us about $72.00 vs. making an offer based upon full replacement value which was estimated by the moving company at $6556.70
The moving company approved a claim to be opened by their "claims department" MOVINGCLAIMS.NET After sending claims packages to them on three different occasions starting in July 2018; they approached us with a "settlement offer" of 72.00 based on their findings that the bill of lading and order for service "clearly stated a standard valuation of .60 per pound" and that I could submit a one time dispute based upon new information. When I informed Charlie (one of the owners) about the error that was made he too said I must file a dispute. This was done on December 5th; A month later I still have nothing to show for my efforts.
Summit Van Lines working in collusion with MovingClaims.net has done everything they can to dissuade me from filing a complaint against them. I have no choice at this point to submit this review.

Long-distance move from Florida to Pennsylvania

Horrible company DO NOT USE.

Our move was from Florida to PA. We kept our things in Summit Van Lines storage for almost a year paying $345 monthly to keep our possessions safe.

Therefore when we received our things we were beyond excited and had trust in the company. Especially since Mr. Sammy Perets, the Relocation Specialist, that originally saw us was extremely professional and friendly. We trusted that everything was going to be beyond our satisfaction. And that was far from the truth. We received many of our high value items either damaged, completely broke, with mold all over it or infested with rat feces. Two hutches with broken support braces, 42’ tv that has damaged side menu buttons broken, 50’ tv that was bent in half, a deep freezer with dents and chipped all over, a double stroller with mold spores all over it, a playpen with mold and a box that had sealed food full of rat feces and the rats completely ate through it. We were told by the driver if there’s anything wrong just to let Summit Van Lines know. As a matter of fact the assistant that was with the driver showed us the television that was bent. He showed my husband because he didn’t want to see me upset. We are your typical American hardworking family. A 50’ tv is something we worked hard for. It was obvious it was completely mishandled.

In the claim I was only allowed two pictures per item. The claim process is long for no reason. My husband and I were completely insulted at the settlement of $70 when that amount won’t even replace one of those items. We then disputed that amount. Our move was in March 2018. It’s now December and we have yet to hear anything.

Thousands were given to Summit Van Lines and they completely robbed us of our money, trust and we feel violated. The least they can do is compensate us so we can replace these items. Even after I contacted them I didn’t even receive an apology letter. Very likely we will need a moving company again in the near future and obviously will not use Summit Van Lines and will prevent any of our friends or family from hiring them. It’s a complete nightmare.

Don't Use This Firm For Your Move!!

I had the smallest move possible, below their minimum requirements for a move, but still they managed to misplace my large box with the highest dollar value (and personal value) and a brand new vacuum cleaner. I actually believe they stole the box because it doesn't make sense that my biggest box was misplaced somewhere and can't be found?? I'm so upset because all I got was a sorry and I didn't get ANY money back from the insurance either because I didn't take photos. I had receipts of the most expensive items, for example a minor stock of jewelry for my eCommerce store (yes, I know that was stupid but my tiny car was packed to its fullest and I needed space for my two dogs), but no photos so I didn't get a single cent back.

Don't be as naive as me believing they will take full responsibility for your things. Expect the worst and take photos of EVERYTHING. I will never use a moving service again. Did I tell you that my nightstand was broken too. They messed up 50% of my stuff!! They told me when I called that they were checking with prior deliveries, but they never called back when they promised. I had to call and call to get any answer whatsoever.

Poor Quality.

I hired Summit to do a move for my mother and they managed to damage a few items in the process. They pretend to care when they deliver the move. We pointed out broken things and they took notes and pictures, then they tell you to start a claim with their insurance company (moving claims.net) which is a third party company. When I called Summit and asked them to send me the pictures and notes they took, they told me that they don't have that information. You will take months going back and fwd with the insurance company, having to prove that the items were damage by the movers. This whole time, Summit is not in this process because they will tell you to deal with the insurance comany. The total estimated amount of damage they caused was close to $1000. I submitted the claim in July 2019 and Feb 2020, the insurance company sends me a settlement letter stating that they will only pay $72. These companies are a joke! DO NOT GO WITH THEM!! save yourself the hassle, do some reserach and choose a better moving company. The burden of proof will be put on you to go through their convoluted insurance process to only be dissapointed in the end. I did not sign the settlement, and I'm currently seeking legal advice. This has become personal to me.

Look Elsewhere

Do NOT use this company on long distance moving. This company is extremely deceitful, they’ll have Sammy Perets come to your house to give you an estimate, and fill your ears with magical fairytales. First they tell you we guarantee we will get your stuff to you in 3 business, 10 at the most if unforeseen things like the weather. They will claim they will not lose your things because everything is ticketed and at pick-up and delivery someone will count with you all you stuff, (only the pick up did). They also claim not sell your stuff to third parties, Summit Van Lines will start and finish with you. However all their promises turned out to be false. Our stuff arrived 14 business later, and when we would call them to get status of arrival and they said they would call back at the end of the day with an answer and never did. They also had the perfect story each as to why are things had not arrived, the truck magically broke down the 10th business day, We had to cancel our vacation because they claim it would arrive that weekend because we were priority due to THEIR ERRORS. The customer service person was extremely rude at all times and would raise your voice at you when you try to voice your dissatisfaction and remind her she never called back as promised. They lost our dinning table, and had to search through the other peoples stuff to locate it, which they thankfully did. However the other things lost like our bed frame and many other things they claim they would have to call us back on. The things that did arrive were damaged, all the boxes were crushed. These people are no respect for your personal belongings. They broke many furniture pieces, a lot and then had stains and scratches that were not there, they broke our safe, bent the wheel on our bikes, they also broke our brand new TV PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE for long distance moving. They might be good for local, however for long distance they sell your stuff to 3rd parties which lose or damage half of your stuff.

Terrible customer service and degrading

They treat their customers like crap. I asked for assistance with an issue I had and instead of investigating and checking the facts, they put all of the blame on me and accused me of “monkey business” for asking the movers to dispose of some trash and furniture we were getting rid of. We way overpaid for the move and when I asked Shannon and her manager for assistance, they were rude and condescending to me over text. The foreman on the job told us we could only pay via cash or cashier's check and they kept accusing us of not being truthful on how much we paid since we paid in cash. I told them multiple times that the moving team wouldn’t let us pay via credit card since their machine was down and they just kept reiterating that they had multiple payment options we could’ve used without even checking to see if the machine was actually down. We were forced to pay in cash. It’s one thing to not assist a customer when they have an issue but it’s another to be downright disrespectful. Steer clear from Summit Van Lines unless you want to be treated like crap.

They're putting all of the blame on me saying I should've contacted the office to ask how much extra to have the movers dispose of the trash and furniture we were getting rid of instead of holding their movers accountable. The movers could've asked me to contact the office regarding my request but they obviously weren't trained to do so. Therefore, I was getting blamed as the customer. This is probably the most unprofessional communication I've ever had with a company, ever. They refuse to even ask the foreman how much we paid or verify that the credit card machine was down.

Please train your movers and take a customer service class.
