Long-distance move from New York to Connecticut

Cost efficient company.

Moving from New York City to Bristol, Connecticut was an easy and laid back experience, because we had movers that did the job properly and without any problems. They packed our stuff carefully and then transported them. The delivery was done in 3 days. The entire process was good and I will definitely be calling them again. It was a cost-efficient moving and I recommend them to you.

Good Outcome.

My girlfriend and I moved from New York  to Rhode Island with State To State Relocation and we are very content with the outcome of the moving. We had good movers, people who worked hard and good, keeping an eye of everything and making sure that our belongings are safely packed. Our moving was done swiftly and we paid a reasonable price for this, I really hope that next time we move can book with them, I have to say they were pretty swamped! But, so glad we chose them because the outcome was good.

Long-distance move from Florida to Maryland

My move went very well.

I booked this mover with a very short notice to pack my furniture and move. Ryan was cooperative and polite in receiving my detail. On an average hot and humid Monday, Three young men and a lady arrived at early morning and served for nonstop 7 hours to wrap with blanket and then pack before loading onto the truck. What was good to see, Ryan came to supervise the service with gatorade for the guys. There was no secret charge as I know some movers claim by feet if they need to park their truck a few distance away. All their guys have been very friendly from front staff to the moving crews. I have no complaints at any end and of course I would not hesitate, to hire them again because now I only believe in only one mover, State to Statare Relocation.

Long-distance move from Connecticut to Florida

Stay far away from this moving company.

I am writing this review to tell everyone please do not use state to state relocation ever. Let's start from the beginning when I spoke to a frank on April 27th and he gave me a quote of $2138.13 very nice man. I called in July to change the date after leaving several messages with customer service with no response I started dialing random extensions and I got in touch with a Robert who stated frank no longer worked there. At this point I should of canceled the move with them for not even returning my calls but I gave them the benefit they were busy per Robert. I then called 2 days before the move and again no one answered so I started with dialing random ext and spoke to a David who told me they would be there Thursday August 7th and dispatch would call me with the time the day before I never received a call and finally after leaving several messages with dispatch with no return call finally someone answered and told me they would be there on Friday between 8am and 10 am and David is in sales and he does not know the system to state what day they were coming. So Friday comes and of course the drivers do not show up until 6 pm they packed my stuff and hold me that my stuff will be to me in 3 to 5 days I was also told that by frank when I booked the move. So I started calling the company that following Monday and got no answers for like 2 days and I also emailed them nothing. So I finally got in touch with a jd and he told me my stuff was in storage and didn't I request that I said no that was on the 12th and he will put a order to take it out of storage so again I call for a couple of days leave message no answer and finally I get in touch with Alonso and he told me that Thursday I will get my stuff Monday thru Wednesday I hear nothing from him on Tuesday so I called to see what time the driver was coming and finally the driver calls me and tells me he will not be there until Thursday that is now 13 days and that I also owe $1685 when I was told 914.33 no one informed me that it would be more and he gave me Leo number I call and spoke to a Esther and she took down the message for Leo to call me off course I had to call 4 times because he never return my call after the 4th time I spoke to him and explained everything he was a rude and didn't care like the others I spoke to and he took a $100 off the price the driver didn't show up until after 6 and several of my furniture was damage and my vacuum was missing. Now I have to wait to see what I have to do to file a claim. I have pictures of all the damage. I called and spoke to Leo on Monday 8. 24 about the damages and missing vacuum he stated he would have the driver send him the pictures and call me back. I never received that call so I called and left a vm on 8.25 no return call. I called on 8.26 and spoke to Leo again he told me he has not spoke to the driver yet and Owen the driver will be in today and he would call me back. He also stated he thought it was strange the vacuum was missing because they check the inventory I told him Leo has all the pictures and confirmed the vacuum was not on the truck, I spoke to Leo on 8.27.15 and he gave me the name of the company to place the claim with.   The following items were damaged   5 chest dresser   Tall dresser armoire   End table   Dining room table and chair   Night stand   6ft tall wood giraffe   4ft tall wood lion   Missing was a vacuum not on truck  .

Movers.

I would give zero stars if you could. Poor would be good. Promised delivery within a week over 2 weeks, when delivery arrived items missing and unable to reach them, what did arrive is broken, rip-off. Do not walk away run, they are doing business out of a home. Lucky if there is one truck! Awful! David just refers you. Alonzo does nothing and either does Leo. Should be out of business! Believe there reviews use anybody but them. They owe me priceless items and a bed. I, do not even get a  return phone calls. Lost thousands with this move with this company! They are a broker!     .

1 Mover and missing furniture.

The worse delivery experience-State To State contracts out deliveries. The driver came with only 1 mover, no ramps or flat bed. Missing furniture, no communication from the dispatcher or driver since the night of the move. JD was bery responsive in the beginning, but once the contract signed no response from him at all concerning the missing furniture. My husband and I had to help with the delivery, we paid money to move our own furnishings.

Long-distance move from New York to Florida

Still waiting.

No delivery. I am waiting for my shipment two weeks later. Frank set us up told us it would be effortless. He said call anytime and gave us his number. I asked about packing. He said it is much cheaper if we pack the smalls. We did like he suggested. He also told us how the movers wrap everything. He asked about items with glass fronts we informed him of these items. He left the company. We got David as our point of contact. We called and he was ok. The movers came they were efficient polite and careful. We didn't put on as much as we were quoted because we were over the size we were quoted and they charged extra fees for glass fronts on furniture. This was nearly another $600. We never put on our dryer our microwave and all of our outdoor furniture. All of which was in our original quote.
The movers were to take things to NJ. They offload and combine with other loads. We expected a week to ten days. We have called David. He answers occasionally. He says people will call back. But they never do. Even David has difficulty contacting dispatch. We have been calling for 9 days. Nothing.. Nada. I am reassured they have our items. I am afraid we are never going to receive them. I keep hearing how they haven't had a complaint in 3 years. They are wrong. I've seen several online and I have only looked for ten minutes. Please just deliver my goods. I have had to replace items already. It is scary how they have things that are inexpensive but priceless to me. I can never replace my children's hand prints or pictures. From 23 yrs ago. Come on. I want the things as you promised; that's all. I hope this can be resolved soon. I am waiting for my items with a 2 week supply as they said the longest they would be is 10 days. I suspect much longer now. I am worried. They don't even explain why they haven't delivered.
Unreliable and noncommunication once they have your first half of the money upfront. They have your items and thousands of dollars and have no further communications. .

Long-distance move from New York to Indiana

Horrible Experience.

Search the owner’s number (Leo Levani) 917-771-3587 online: it is connected to another moving company that is out of business with many BBB complaints. Send your State to State Relocation complaints to statetostatecomplaint@gmail.com, as legal action is being pursued against this company. I work with inventory as a profession so I knew what information would be needed for an accurate estimate. I provided exact dimensions for every single item except for miscellaneous boxes, which they estimated at 89 boxes. Although I only used 28 boxes, the revised price after the load did not reflect it. In fact, the estimate was for 1278 cf which is 19 linear feet on the truck but my items only took up 13 feet. This should have knocked off $1,500 but they only knocked of $75.00. I called and emailed my “consultant” JD Adams but he never responded. I then talked to Alonso in dispatch and complained. He said that the final total would be recalculated when my items were restacked for delivery but that of course didn’t happen. Beyond the pricing deceit, the disrespectful comments (they didn’t realize I understood Spanish) and the urine that was left all over my toilet, they pulled a bait and switch with the delivery date. I called the day before my delivery was due in order to secure the timeframe and was told that it would be an additional 3-4 business days. I was upset because the delivery date was scheduled around a two day drive cross country for a new job and everything needed for the new job was with the movers. Also, if I didn’t call, was anyone going to communicate this to me? When I talked to JD he took zero responsibility and said: “I’m just like an airline representative. I take information and pass it along. If a plane crashes, it isn’t my fault.” Are you kidding me? I told him that we weren’t talking about death here, we were talking about scheduling issues and I wanted justification for the delay. Oh and gee, while we’re on the subject, if a flight is delayed do we get the pilot’s cell number to call? No, but he gave me the number for dispatch to duke it out with them directly. I told him that as my representative he should be the one communicating with them on my behalf but my efforts were fruitless. He told me that the delivery date was not guaranteed and that the additional lead time was in the fine print. Note: The fine print also states that they will do “everything possible to deliver at the requested date.” Well, this was breached when JD admitted that the delay was due them taking on too many jobs and overbooking. This, unlike unforeseen weather was completely under their control and they willingly blew it. One of the movers even reiterated this upon delivery as well. Fast forward to the 3rd business day and guess what, I was told that it was now 7-10 business days. Keep in mind that during all of this time I had been calling, texting and emailing to try to get a straight answer. If you actually get someone on the phone they say they’ll call you back but never do. Emails are ignored because they don’t want to put anything in writing. After I realized that delivery was going to be later than 10 business days (and the owner hung up on me), I threatened to call the police. As far as I was concerned my property was now stolen and being held against my will. This finally got their attention. They apologized for the delay, admitted that my job was extremely late and offered a discount. Ah yes, a discount. I didn’t know that it was only going to be $200 until the movers arrived so I got Alonso back on the phone. He said that he couldn’t discount more because he wasn’t making much money on my job and had to pay the drivers. I couldn’t believe that he was actually complaining to me about his profit. Awesome bedside manner. I can’t wait to see how horrible the claims process goes because naturally several things were completely trashed. Nothing I packed myself was even scratched. Everything that was damaged was wrapped and handled solely by THEM. Although this may seem like a book, it doesn’t even scratch the surface. Stay away from this company.    .

The Worst (beware).

It started out with salesmen JD and it ended up 2 thousand dollars over estimated and 4 boxes lost. Personal items like jewelry, wedding dress personal papers and computer printers. You name it they lost it. We lost not only A LOT of money from this company but more importantly they robbed us of our life time memories that money can't buy. Tried calling the NJ location where my stuff was stored and they won't even that or return my phone call to file a claim. Please don't be the next victim. DO NOT US THIS COMPANY.

You'll never get your stuff.

The most unprofessional dispatch and moving company that exists in New Jersey.  Do not ever use for anything.  You won't get your stuff according to delivery schedule.  We contracted them for a cross-country move from NJ to California.  The crew that came to pick up our house was very professional and efficient, although they were 4 hours late.  We were advised that our contents would be on the semi-truck immediately to go to California.  In fact, our house was not put on a truck and did not depart New Jersey for more than 10 days.  We are in California now with an empty house and won't get our stuff for another 10 days.  We might as well have not moved any stuff and used the $10,000 to just buy everything new here.

Be careful, you will regret your decision.

Unfortunately we decided to go with this company as we assumed that JD (consultant) and his company will continue to be as professional as the day you call them for the first time.

THINK twice!

I wish it was just money. Not that our estimate was 50% off, the delivery is another story. Just consider to book additional 10 days at hotel before delivery. The day we were expecting to receive the delivery, after 10 calls they answered and told me that they are just loading the truck and I should expect it within 7-10 days!! Based on Alonso this is in the fine print! Based on him expected delivery is 7-10 days after the first available date for delivery.. Interesting.

it seem Michael Cox (another person who experienced the same with this company) is filling a lawsuit against them. So please join him if you are in the same boat.

Move.

This was the first time I had to move things so far and was nervous about it.  All the men who came, Juan, George and Juan, were careful and did a good job packing. When the truck came to deliver the things in Ca. those men too were careful and put things in the appropriate places. I thought I was missing a piano stool..but it was put in a box for safe transporting and I didn't unpack that box for a couple of days..sorry for your inconvenience looking for it.
