From the time I received my quote to completing the move I had an amazing experience.

To request a quote you jump on their website and fill out a form. From the information you provide they send you an electronic quote for you to review. What does this mean.. no talking to pushy salespeople (not that they would be at The Professionals, but this gives you time to think about it). Accepting the quote is also done electronically which means you don't have to seek out a fax machine or scanner.

As with any good business, they called to confirm details on my move two days prior. They also sent a follow-up email, which was great for me because my service is limited at work.

They showed up EARLY!! My appointment was between 8 and 8:30am. The truck arrived shortly after 7:30. When I told them I had some cleaning up to do they were incredibly patient and understanding. I brought down some miscellaneous items to transport in my car and one of the guys came over and helped me load them into my car!

There are no hidden fees. Seriously. They lay out any extra charges you may incur in the agreement (shrink wrapping). They let you use 10 wardrobe boxes for FREE! If you provide your own shrink wrap, they will do it for FREE.

They were fast and efficient. I didn't have a ton of stuff for them to move but they had all my stuff packed into the truck, transported, and unloaded in under 2 1/2 hours (the minimum). The lead mover even offered to help me bring in the stuff I had in my car since I had some time remaining.

Awesome experience, I will definitely use them for future relocations.

Our family used Silverback Moving of Grand Rapids agent of Schea Van Lines to relocate our 3 bedroom home from Holland, MI to Rochester, New York. Nothing was damaged. They loaded our clothes into the wardrobe boxes for us. They were courteous and seemed to enjoy their line of work. Moving is always stressful but these guys gave us the confidence we needed to make it through the afternoon. We will continue to recommend them to our friends and family for their service needs.

I moved from Michigan to Tennessee 2.5 months ago. I took moving services from Silverback Moving. I was initially skeptical about engaging them. Mr. Jim from the moving compamy worked with me at each stage and made the move very easy for me. My moving dates changed 3 times and they accommodated my request every time without any problem. The team that came to pack and dleiver my good is extremely good, honest and friendly. They packed all of my goods meticulously. Not even a single item was damaged at delivery. The moving cost is very economical and atleast 20% less than other quotes I received from other well known movers. It was a perfect move. I have never experienced such a smooth move. My firm relocated my office from Chicago, Illinois to Grosse Pointe, Michigan early July this year. Our family chose to use Silverback Moving of Chicago, a local agent of Schea Van Lines, to take care of the move.

The office staff in Chicago were extremely helpful. They sent a rep out to inventory our home in Lake Forest the day after we inquired for a quote. Because this was an interstate move from Chicago to Detroit, it is my understanding Schea Van Lines facilitated the haul.

The team the day of was extremely helpful. Properly packed all mirrors and fine art. We were very pleased with the gentlemen that came to the home that day. They were very courteous and assisted with nearly every aspect.
The day of the move in was extremely smooth as well. The team once again was beyond helpful and assisted the family with all things necessary.

I was very impressed with the work of Silverback Moving of Chicago. Schea Van Lines provided great service transporting our shipment from Lake Forest to Grosse Pointe. Glad we chose the correct route!

Our move was only 1.8 miles.  The movers came in and 1 asked to use the bathroom 15 minutes after starting.  He then asked for a plunger (hard to believe, but true).  After the move, the truck was stuck (broken down) on my driveway blocking my car in the garage overnight and was not removed until about 10 am the next morning.  I was guaranteed it would be moved before I awoke the next morning and it wasn't.  I was late to work..it was a disaster!  Futhermore, there was damage from the move on our brand new living room furniture.  We had the movers take pictures to submit and we also sent pictures in.  I have called several times and have had to either leave a message without a call back or spoke to someone who took down the information and then never called back.  Our move was in the end of June and we have still not resolved the issue of the damage. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!  .

Salesman lied about fees and charges, job was not finished, fees were changed on contract, final bill was over three times the expected amount, when I tried to contact salesman to dispute what he had quoted me, he was not to be found.  No one would talk to me during the move when I disputed the actions and fees associated with the move, until the movers had packed up and left.  Then the man I spoke to had nothing to say, except that the salesman was just trying to make me happy.  I am not happy and am pursuing any avenue to go after this company. .

The gentlemen that moved my furniture were very nice and professional.  However, once my belongings were in storage I was treated as if I owed them something. I was treated very nicely in order to get my business, but that changed once they had my belongings. The communication between customer and staff was very unacceptable. Calls were not returned as promised charges weren't clearly documented on the invoice nor were they verbally explained.  I was told serveral times by Karen and the head of storage that this is a large company and basically I'm not important. When asked who was the supervisor I was informed by the head of storage that there is no one over hiim as he proceeded to tell me "I'm in West Palm Beach" once again incinuating that I'm not worth his time. I should have researched this company in more depth. Very impersonal, poor customer service. Once I close on my new home and get my things out of storage I will NEVER use this company again nor will I refer them to anyone. I also noticed that they don't have a rating by the BBB but they say they do. My advice choose a smaller company that appreciates their customers!

Last month my family chose Silverback Moving & Storage to relocate our home from Jupiter to Boynton Beach within Florida. The move was smooth and very organized as promised.  They gave us a quote over the phone after I had provided a detailed list of furniture. I was quoted a flat rate of $1,355, which I felt was very fairly priced. I've moved several times in the past, and I've been stuck paying more than was estimated. With Silverback Moving I did not experience this issue. I will use Silverback Moving & Storage again and would refer them to anyone moving in the Boynton Beach or Jupiter area.
