Silverback Moving

I chose to use Silverback Moving and Storage after reviewing a number of companies online. I phoned the office and was assisted by a very friendly staff member named Kelly. Kelly took a very detailed list of exactly what I had and provided useful tips for my family prior to the big move day. After determining exaxctly what was needed for my service, we secured a firm date with a deposit. 
On the actual move date, a staff of three gentlemen arrived as promised in a straight truck designed for moving. They began the service by preparing the home and preparing the pieces that were being shipped. I was very impressed by how prompt and organized they were. They came equipped with the proper tools and the necessary equipment to handle the job. The load up was quick, the unload was quicker. The service was done in less time that I had anticipated.
I will not be moving again for some time, but when I do, I will be using Silverback Moving in Pompano Beach, Florida.

I moved on November 11th from Novi to Northville, MI within a distance of less than 5 miles. We wre downsizing so moving from a 5 bedroom house to 3 bedroom. We were leaving behind many big items. 
My complain is about the owner Jim who lacks people skills and honesty. Totally denied what was agreed and threatened to call back the movers one hour into the wrapping and loading. The son came to give an estimate and remarked we did not have much to move since we were downsizing and leaving behind many of the big items. The first thing discussed was the piano move from our house to my daughters house, to her walkout basement. The move was less than 5 miles. Did not send big enough truck and therefore had to load many boxes in our van driven by my husband and left behind many heavy things. Recommended three movers while one was standing around most of the time. Three men were recommended because a piano needed to be moved. Jim forgot to tell the movers who were not prepared to move the piano and therefore did not bring the appropriate dolly and therefore left it in the garage. I had to still pay half the money for the piano move. To top it all, he made a very rude and racist remark.  
Moving is considered one of the stressful times in your life. I was extra cautious making sure everything was to go smoothly. Therefore avoided companies which were giving estimates only on the phone. Four or more companies reps came to give the estimate. Waned to make sure the reps saw what had to be moved including the piano.
Most businesses like to make sure about customer satisfaction and learning how other people in the same business are offering. In one of the phone conversations, he mentioned that he did not care what other businesses were doing. 
Hired another company, Royal movers, who did a great job moving the piano to its final destination. 
 
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Last winter was particularly difficult on my parents, living in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This year my husband and I decided it would be best for them to move permenamtly to our vacation home in Boca Raton, Florida. They were obviously beyond excited about the transition. I researched several moving companies located in both Boca Raton and Rochester. I found Silverback Moving, specializing in moving homes between Michigan and Florida. I phoned for an estimate and they were at the Bloomfield Hills home the very next day. Curtis the estimator was very detailed and professional in the home. After returning to the office, he gave my parents a firm quote of $5,280 for the entire service from Bloomfield Hills to Boca Raton. After shopping around I found this was a great price. The move itself transpired wonderfully. All promises were kept

As management for the firm, I've had a great deal of experience with several moving companies in Boca Raton and the surrounding areas over the years. Finding a moving company that is reliable, fairly priced, and professional is not easy. Silverback Moving & Storage in Boca Raton has delivered every time our office contracts them to move a tenant or facility. Two thumbs up for Silverback Moving & Storage, our relationship is greatly valued.

Had I not been an alert driver and anticipated that the truck in the left turn lane next to me intended to go straight instead of turn left as both of our lanes were intended, I wouldn't be here to write this "review" of "my experience with your company." Although I didn't get a truck number or license plate b/c of the speed at which this happened, this was a white box truck with the Silverback Moving Company (which I had never seen before in Columbus) moving westbound on Goodale Blvd. through the Neil Avenue intersection in Columbus, Ohio at 8:38 a.m. this morning, Monday, Sept. 28, 2015. Had I not yielded, I would have been hit on my driver side and experienced significant injury. I request the company track down the driver who proceeded recklessly through this intersection and discipline him/her. I would be embarrassed that such behavior occurred when my company name was on the side of truck.  .

Silverback Moving and Storage moved me from Clintonville to Clintonville just outside of Columbus, Ohio. We had a three bedroom house moving to a single bedroom apartment along with a 10x20 storage. Considering we were downsizing I was a bit nervous for the move day. All in all things with Silverback went great! Service was exceptional and the overall price was acceptable. It's rare considering I've had such poor experiences in the past. I liked Silverback Moving and Storage. I will be giving these folks a shout again in the near future.

Movers are nice and pretty good with the care of furnishings when moved. Move was timely. However the Owner is unethical in his invoicing, as the invoice presented that gives a false impression of what is the real final cost. When the final invoice was presented with the amount due, I paid in full, however he made a unauthorized credit charge immediately following for another ~$700! He was unapologetic, arrogant and unprofessional in attempting to address this issue. I would not recommend Shea Moving at all as the pricing and invoicing is misleading and unethical.
