Horrible Company - DO NOT USE.

Worst service experience of my life. Company was extremely unprofessional, they showed up 2.5 hours late and didn't call (I had to call them). Workers were so lazy and rude.  After 1.5 hours of arriving at my house, NOTHING was loaded on the truck.  They were in the basement 'wrapping' one TV stand.  At this point, we called the supervisor and said we weren't paying for the horrible, unprofessional, slow service.   The supervisor came over and made the workers move a little faster.  The supervisor told us "if you all help, it would go quicker." We obviously hired a moving company because we didn't want to do it ourselves.  Items were damaged, walls were ruined and my husband had to unload the entire truck with one of the workers.  The other worker sat on the truck and pushed items to the end.  Don't be fooled by the low hourly rate, it isn't worth your tears, sweat and stress.  Plus they still up-charge you for everything so it ends up costing what a 'professional' company would change.  DO NOT USE. BUYER BEWARE.

Long-distance move from Michigan to Florida

Rochester Hills, Michigan to Delray Beach, Florida.

I hired Silverback Moving and Storage to move my apartment from my grad school college in Rochester Hills, Michigan to my new apartment in Delray Beach, Florida. Fortunately my employer took care of the moving expenses, but I was still responsible for finding the correct company for the job. I chose Silverback Moving because they were prompt and and paid attention to detail when scheduling the service. They relocated my two bedroom home and a motorcycle acrossed the country. All went great. At the end of the load, they strapped my bike to the wall of the truck at the end of the truck. All made it safely down. The delivery was delayed a day, but that was to be expected. Next time I will be moving in Palm Beach County, I will use Silverback Moving.

Silverback Moving - Royal Oak to Birmingham.

I had a 10x15 storage in Royal Oak I needed picked up and delivered to our new home in Birmingham. I called Silverback Moving & Storage. They estimated our service required a staff of two handlers and a single truck. I scheduled the date and the rest was handled for us. They had estimated total service would cost roughly $850 entirely. When all was said and done the final bill came to be $694, less than anticipated. Impressed with the work of the staff and the professionalism of the office, I will use again.

Don't use this company!

This is just about the worst company you would retain. The company had hidden costs. When filed complaint, it didn't respond to emails. Matter of fact, Better Business Bureau of Detroit & Eastern Michigan determined twice that "the company's response does not adequately address all the issues or make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute." The crews were slow, inefficient and ill-equipped. Hire this company at your own risk.

Almost killed by Silverback truck.

Had I not been an alert driver and anticipated that the truck in the left turn lane next to me intended to go straight instead of turn left as both of our lanes were intended, I wouldn't be here to write this "review" of "my experience with your company." Although I didn't get a truck number or license plate b/c of the speed at which this happened, this was a white box truck with the Silverback Moving Company (which I had never seen before in Columbus) moving westbound on Goodale Blvd. through the Neil Avenue intersection in Columbus, Ohio at 8:38 a.m. this morning, Monday, Sept. 28, 2015. Had I not yielded, I would have been hit on my driver side and experienced significant injury. I request the company track down the driver who proceeded recklessly through this intersection and discipline him/her. I would be embarrassed that such behavior occurred when my company name was on the side of truck.  .

Moving Company Birmingham, MI to Boca Raton, FL.

Last August we used Silverback Moving and Storage to relocate a few pieces from Birmingham, Michigan to Boca Raton, Florida. Every piece was shrink wrapped before they were shipped. The partnering firm Shea Van Lines facilitated the haul. Thumbs up! Good work Silverback Moving and Storage, Good Work Shea Van Lines! Shea Van Lines and Silverback Moving.

Birmingham, MI Moving Company.

Recently my girlfriend and I had used Silverback Moving and Storage to relocate my home in Ann Arbor to their storage. We ended up occupying a 10x20. Overall cost for the 10x20 was $215 per month. Fairly reasonable considering the unit was climate controlled and the facility was well secured. The experience was great and I will be using them again! .

Silverback Moving - Columbus, Ohio.

Silverback Moving and Storage moved me from Clintonville to Clintonville just outside of Columbus, Ohio. We had a three bedroom house moving to a single bedroom apartment along with a 10x20 storage. Considering we were downsizing I was a bit nervous for the move day. All in all things with Silverback went great! Service was exceptional and the overall price was acceptable. It's rare considering I've had such poor experiences in the past. I liked Silverback Moving and Storage. I will be giving these folks a shout again in the near future.

Columbus, Ohio to Columbus Ohio.

We had excellent service with Silverback Moving this past May when we hired them to take us from Grove City, Ohio to New Albany. I was impressed with what they had done for us. I will be using them again in the near future to take some pieces to a 10x20 storage.  Two thumbs up Silverback Moving. Excellent move in Grove City And in New Albany. Extremely pleased.

Our Move.

Movers are nice and pretty good with the care of furnishings when moved. Move was timely. However the Owner is unethical in his invoicing, as the invoice presented that gives a false impression of what is the real final cost. When the final invoice was presented with the amount due, I paid in full, however he made a unauthorized credit charge immediately following for another ~$700! He was unapologetic, arrogant and unprofessional in attempting to address this issue. I would not recommend Shea Moving at all as the pricing and invoicing is misleading and unethical.

Had a great experience. Needed the company for packing supplies and storage. We were hauling the pieces on our own. Glad we chose them. After reviewing the cost of what we paid verse what it could have been, it was a good route.

Silverback Moving did a great job recently when partnering on my move that I needed done from a one bedroom from Troy to Royal Oak. The men were kind, prompt, and paid attention to nearly every detail. All was disassembled by the crew at my former home in Troy, then reassembled properly once arriving in Royal Oak. I couldn't be more happy with Silverback Moving. We will use again.

Exceptional - Silverback Moving.

Silverback Moving provides us with exceptional service. We needed a 2 bed taken from Sedona, AZ to our home in Bloomfield, MI. Silverback Moving did everything promised and more. They flew out a team of three men, loaded two trucks full and made the long journey back to Michigan. The loading nor the driving was my family willing to do.

All around the move was simplified with the help of Silverback Moving. I would use this company anytime needed. I would recommend Silverback Moving to anyone in need of moving or trucking services.

Silverback Moving did it!

Silverback Moving performed better than any mover we had experienced in the past. We had received their information from a neighbor who had a good experience. Silverback Moving gave us a firm estimate as to what we should anticipate to pay. Furthermore they took a detailed log as to what we had to move so their staff would be well informed. The day of the move all went according to plan. All things that were said would be done were done. I greatly appreciate the hard work from Silverback Moving!!

Very Happy.

By far the best experience I've had with a moving company yet. The crew was very hardworking and organized. What stood out about this particular service was how helpful the office was in prepping our family for the move. They gave us excellent tips and were there to assist us over the duration of the move. I will suggest this company to friends.

Local Move.

Moved locally, and was reassured over the phone that movers would be able to take apart my canopy bed. Movers showed up with improper tools, was unable to take bed apart and wanted to continue to charge me for personal time I spent to go to the hardware store and purchase tools needed to dissasemble bed. Very unhappy with service.

Silverback Moving moved my family from Charleston, South Carolina to Rochester, Michigan. Best experience we've had yet with a transfer and storage firm. Timelines were kept and possessions were well handled. Companies managed this well are rare! We were very pleased with the service. I will use their service again!    .

Great Service! Well Done!

Good, affordable movers.  I've used them 3 times so far and have always been satisfied.  I tried to book them for my last move, but was too late in trying to book them, they had no availablity for a locked move-out, move-in date (they book up quick in the spring and summer months..definately plan ahead).  Whoa!! .

Impressive!

I contracted Schea Van Lines to relocate my offices from Novi to downtown Grand Rapids. Considering the move consisted of primarily cubicles and heavy fine wood furniture pieces, organization was key to an efficient operation. Total downtime to my office was 2 days. Far less painful than I had anticipated. .

My assistant hired Silverback Moving of Chicago this past August to relocate our law offices from 82nd and Kendrick to Barrington. The service was excellent. From the file handling to the equipment used, every aspect was well planned. I can appreciate an efficient organization. I will recommend their services to friends and others.

Damaged furniture and did not pay for it.

This moving company damaged my furniture and knew the furniture was damaged, said they were going to pay for it and did not pay for it. Owner of moving company strings their customers along and not accountable. Avoid them. Not recommended.

Silverback moving and storage.

They quote a price then add "hidden charges". Very unethical company..we asked twice about any extra charges but they totally lied and then claimed they had told us. Would suggest recording your conversation. Would NEVER use them again. Very disappointed.
The guys who did the actual move were good but you will pay a lot more than you expected.
