There was an issue that posed a major challenge in trying to move an extremely large hutch. Not only did two movers do everything they could to help but the company also sent a carpenter to facilitate in disassembling the unit in order to make it possible to transport it from one location to another.

After disassembling the hutch, the carpenter explained to me the risk associated with taking further aspects of it apart—due to how antique the hutch was and the manner in which it was constructed (stapled together rather than screwed). He told me this in full transparency and honesty, so that I can make an informed decision and opt to either proceed with the potential risk of further disassembling something that might not be restorable—or have him reassemble what was disassembled so far and be reimbursed $150. I opted for the latter.

That’s a level of transparency, honesty and integrity rarely seen in business practices today, and for that I gave him a tip as an appreciation for his efforts.

We used Shleppers for our move from NJ to NYC. After reviewing and receiving estimates from many companies, my friend recommended Shleppers. We chose Shleppers because: they were nice, welcoming, clear, straightforward on the phone, the process seemed efficient, transparent, very professional, the price was great. They also are very familiar with NYC and had moved into our building before. The COI was no extra charge, and there were no hidden fees. I instantly knew after that call we'd be going with Shleppers. The move was very smooth, thorough, and swift. We were set up in our new place before we knew it! All our furniture arrived perfectly handled and placed exactly where we wanted. We were very pleased, and would recommend Shleppers to anyone.

We hired Shleppers to move from one NYC apartment to another. I had heard good things about Shleppers, and we were impressed with how smooth everything went. It was easy to reach the main office and hire the team. The price was reasonable considering the excellent service. The moving team was on time, courteous, efficient, and very professional in the care they took in the move. Shleppers made the moving process far easier than we had anticipated. New York City is a challenging environment for moving, with congested streets and relatively small elevators in high-rise buildings. Shleppers navigated all the challenges with ease and speed. Needed a moving company that could move things out of 2 Manhattan walk up apartments, store items overnight and move to walk up apartment next day. From my first call to get quote to final move in the attention to detail and customer service was excellent. The moving coordinator provided not only exceptional service she also worked to find best price. The movers were prompt, polite and efficient. The follow up during move and after was unexpected but showed how this company values it's customer. For a move in Manhattan I would use again with no hesitation.

Shleppers did an amazing job moving a good amount of furniture,clothes and house hold items from Westchester County to New York City. Two men were allocated to the job. They worked hard and efficiently. They wrapped all the delicate items perfectly and were extraordinary accommodating to any requests made by myself or my husband. They packed the truck up efficiently and effortlessly.
When asked to change location of furniture or boxes they did without any attitude. Both workers wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied with their service. I would 100% recommended Shleppers!

This is my third time using Shleppers to move and I am once again very satisfied by the service. The movers are always careful, thorough, and very respectful. They do an efficient job for a really good price, and with great friendly service. I have used they packing service in a previous move and it was really helpful. They come the day before and set everything up for the easiest possible move. The movers always do a complete inspection when they are done and make sure everything is satisfactory. It's amazing how easy it is to get a quote and set up the move also. I would definitely recommend Shleppers and will probably use them again in the future.
