Shleppers Moving & Storage

I called Shleppers on a recommendations from a friend who recently moved. They were curious and helpful from the start. From the time the women came to do the Estimate of the furniture right down to the delivery and the end of the day. My foreman was Eresto (I think) and he could NOT have been any nicer, professional and really on the ball with EVERYTHING that needed to be done! He made sure he and his team wrapped and protected all my furniture, moved everything carefully, and packed up the truck in a time efficient way. They did the packing and driving of 3 hrs away all in one day (this is the ONLY complaints, as I think they should have packed one day, and moved the next) because when they finally finished- it was 9pm at night. I would not have ANY reservations to recommend them again to any and all my friends. If you are on the fence about taking a chance of them, don't. Call Shleppers and you will be confident that your move will be a EXCELLENT capable hands! Thank you!

Shlepper's has been sued many times in many states including a large settlement that they had to agree to pay former employees that they cheated out of their pay. do your homework before you use this company. All you need to do is go onto NY, NJ, CT, PA, FL and CA state court case search sites and you will see how many times this company has been defendants in lawsuits. They are either really unlucky or are bad news, the latter is what they are. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! Shady as it gets. They've been sued by customers for so many actions that they should be shut down for good. Check out the link below. They do not even pay their employees the way that they should so they had to settle for a lot of money. If you use them for a move, this is where your money is going.

Shleppers was reliable to the nth degree. They did two separate moves, one to NJ with a piano, one to our new residence. They were prompt and attentive to detail, very hard-working. For the big relocation, the crew came the day before to pack us. They sent 4 men who finished in 4 hours. Everything was left on dollies to ease the removal of our things. When they arrived on the day of the move, everything was ready to go. We were out of our place in 3 hours, and it took 3 hours for the crew to unload the van. They moved furniture around to suit us, and put some of our things in the garage as well. They were absolutely amazing. They were very careful with our belongings, polite, respectful, and very efficient. We would give them the highest of recommendations.

First, I was looking around last minute. I needed a moving company in one day. I must’ve called 10 places around NYC. My friend from Cooper and Cooper real estate suggested Shleppers. I’m not going to lie the name threw me off but I trusted his suggestion. I called and Fran helped me. She was the sweetest lady I’ve ever talked to because she knew I was stressed out over my move.

Second, I wasn’t just looking for a moving company. My previous lease will end March 1st and my new lease will start March 9th. I needed a place to store my 1-bedroom furniture until I can move in. I didn’t have an option to extend my lease for a week or did I want to get a hotel for a week because it still left me with a problem-STORAGE.

The quotes I received from all the other companies were insane prices. It was because it was 2 separate moves. Well, Shleppers came through, they said they same exact thing. It’s 2 separate moves and storage but the price was so reasonable and Fran had such a great personality. I went with them.

On the day of the move, they called me and said we will come early if that’s ok. It was ok except I wasn’t prepared. I didn’t finish packing. My place was a disaster. Well, they helped me. Will, one of the movers, was very pleasant. We went over my inventory which I added a few items so he had to wait until my order showed up on his iPad. In the meantime, the other 2 men were gathering the supplies. It took about an hour to pack my 1-bedroom apartment. They were careful and fast. I will end the story with I’m happy to have found a place that will move me out of NJ into Manhattan while storing my furniture for 10 days for the best price I have ever paid for MOVING and STORAGE. I’ve used movers before and they cost about the same price just to move 2 towns over. Home Sweet Home!!

I recently used Shleppers to move furniture from my NYC office to my home in Brooklyn. I decided to hire Shleppers because they offered the lowest quote versus various other NYC moving companies I had inquired. The crew of movers arrived on time and were very professional. They worked quickly but efficiently and they did put a comfortable amount of care in wrapping my more delicate furniture. I was overall very impressed and will use and recommend Shleppers in the future.

From the initial phone consultation straight through to the move completion it was a top notch experience. The price they quoted me was competitive and I loved that they sent a COI to my building without even having to ask. The team who handled my move arrived early (a good thing) and were extremely professional and courteous. They efficiently packed up my apartment with no issues and I observed them taking care to properly pack and wrap my belongings. At the other end of the move (the drop off) they unpacked swiftly. I was extremely impressed how the disassembled and then reassembled my kids bunk beds so easily (As it had taken me hours to put together myself). They guys were awesome and I will definitely use Shleppers (and hopefully my same crew) for my next move.
