I would highly recommend working with this team.

My move involved a lot of heavy books and several tall bookshelves that are difficult to transport. The team arrived with plenty of sturdy crates and moved the heavy boxes without any trouble. They were very organized and made sure the heaviest items were on the bottom of the load. I liked how they checked in with me before leaving to make sure I was happy with where everything was placed. It was a solid and efficient move.

They did a great job from start to end

It was a huge task moving out of my third-floor apartment, but this crew made the whole day a lot easier than I expected. The weather was actually pretty terrible with a lot of wind, but they just kept going until the truck was full. They listened when I told them which boxes were fragile and made sure those went on top. It was nice to have people who actually paid attention to what I was saying.

Very smoothly and tension-free

I’ve dealt with movers before, so I notice small things now. These guys didn’t need constant direction. Once I explained what goes where, they followed through. The loading and unloading felt organized without being stiff or formal. They make sure that all things arrive safely with no damage to anything. After they left, I looked around and thought, okay, this was done properly. That’s the kind of move I was hoping for.

Long-distance move from Massachusetts to Florida

Holy God NO!!!!!

Booked a move from Mass to Florida. My son explained items for sale to Eric the sales person. He quoted a price of around 3300. We thought the boxes sounded low and he said if we doubled the boxes, it could up the price around 500 dollars. He said if we brought a TV it would be about 60 dollars more. I was not sure on the bedroom furniture yet and he said it would only be 150 more. My son said do you think we will be less than 5000 in the end, and he said he didn't think we would be over 4000. He said if we added and removed stuff they would offset each other. Move was supposed to be on a tuesday or wednesday feb 3rd or 4th with preference for the 4th. On Monday they call to do the final list and we took away a 4 person couch and a large dining room table and 6 chairs. We did add some items but nothing that would be more than space of what was removed. They decide to quote us double the price finally coming down to 5700 dollars. That included an extra 250 for pushing the move to Feb 4th. They didn't actually give us a firm quote until 7pm on Feb 2nd so there was no way we could do the third. That clearly should be refunded. The 5,700 quoted 673 Cubic feet. When they finally delivered the stuff, his ipad at signoff showed 460 cubic feet and approx 2222 for the weight We would have taken pictures had we known they would hide that information. This was approxe half of what the weight on the estimate shows. My son has asked for refunds for the difference and company is stalling. Further and more important, there is clearly no way the original estimate was close to correct and they should honor the original estimate as the items added were the same or less than what got removed. This is pure bait and switch. Low price to get you and then ask for more with a non refundable deposit that they wont give back and the day before the move. My son specifically said to the sales guy Eric he was worried about reviews saying this. When my son texted him on it Feb 2nd telling him this was bait and switch and said call immediately, we NEVER heard from him again.

Company also plays games with BBB complaints saying they will investigate, but there are two ways this works, if you reject because they actually have done nothing yet, they close out the case and say you can contact to reopen but they will not reopen it. If you accept, well of course they are doing nothing. Total Scam. Yes you will get your stuff, but for double or more the price they quote.

The crew that I booked arrived around 9 in the morning and didn’t turn it into a drawn-out situation. Things were set down where they belonged, and I could begin arranging my space right away. Horrible company, would not recommend

My roommate and I are both young women, and this company absolutely took advantage of that. They advertise an A+ rating with the BBB across their platforms and emails, yet they aren’t even BBB accredited. They promise flat rates with no hidden fees, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

We were moving from Pennsylvania to Florida. Our belongings were picked up on January 27th, and “James Coleman” assured us they would arrive on February 2nd or the following day. Although the contract states delivery can take 2–14 days (or up to 30 in extreme circumstances), we chose this company because we were verbally guaranteed it wouldn’t take that long.

At pickup, they up-charged us $800 for having more large boxes. When February 2nd came, our items did not arrive. We called consistently for nearly a month and were given conflicting information every time. No one seemed to know what was going on. We were repeatedly promised callbacks and updates — none of which ever happened — and were even hung up on multiple times. Customer service was completely unacceptable and should all be fired.

Around the 20-day mark, I spoke with “Ricky N,” who said she would email an explanation for the delay. I never received it. The week our items were finally arriving, I stressed multiple times that we needed 24–48 hours’ notice to reserve our building’s utility elevator. We were told they always provide that notice. Instead, the driver called at 3 PM on the 25th saying he would arrive the next morning at 9 AM. Because the elevator wasn’t available, our belongings had to go back to storage until the 28th.

We were then charged a $400 shuttle fee because they claimed the truck wouldn’t fit on our road. Our building manager confirmed it would fit, but the company refused to reconsider. “Nathan Rodriguez” told us we either pay the fee or they would take our belongings back to storage and charge us for that as well — so we had no choice. Ironically, they originally picked up our items in a 14-foot truck, transferred them to a 52-foot truck, and then charged us to transfer them back to a 14-foot truck.

The drivers themselves were kind, but even they expressed how poorly the company treats them. This company takes advantage of customers and workers alike and should not be in business.

They are cheap and highly suggested.

I suggest calling Safeway Moving Systems if you have a lot of heavy photography backdrops and studio lighting. I relocated my business 300 miles away and had 20 fragile light stands and several glass tables. They organized the van so the heaviest gear stayed on the floor. They arrived at the new studio and started unloading right away. I checked the bulbs, and nothing was broken during the trip.

I had a lot of expensive electronics and glass computer monitors that I didn't have the original boxes for anymore. Safeway Moving Systems brought out plenty of bubble wrap and sturdy crates to make sure my home office setup was completely protected during the bumpy drive across the city. It was a huge relief to see that everything had arrived without any damage.

Team members are honest!

Finally, a moving company that does exactly what they say they will do. I was quoted a window of eight in the morning to ten in the morning, and the truck pulled up at eight fifteen, which is basically on time in my book. Safeway Moving Systems moved my stuff in about three hours and the total number of boxes was forty seven which I know because I counted them beforehand like a crazy person. Thank you, guys, for this great move.

Poor Work and Customer Service- DON’T HIRE THEM

TLDR- Unprofessional moving company that packed haphazardly and poorly and delivered a couch with no cushion.

I had a recent long distance move done by Safeway. Listen to the negative reviews placed here on google. There are plenty of additional complaints on Yelp and Better Business Bureau and many people on Reddit stating how poorly this company does service. I highly doubt many of the positive reviews placed here are from real customers. You can tell by how short and sweet the reviews are. When you need volume you don't spend time with details. I wish I had done better research before doing business with them. My advice- scour reddit on r/moving and it will give you a good idea who you should be picking for your next move.

First and foremost, Safeway is a broker. Never pick brokers. They aren’t the actual moving company. They pretty much bid out the work to someone local. The people that came to pack my stuff were initially surprised that nothing was packed when I had explicitly stated and paid for a full pack and move service. Much of the packing was not organized well and was just dumped into boxes before placing tape on them. They also provide no update after picking your stuff up. Only some vague language that its on the way. I recommend placing some Airtag trackers in your stuff to get a general idea as to where it is. I am glad I was atleast able to get my stuff within the 21 day window as there are horror stories of people out there that took more than a month.

Worst part about my move was that the Safeway essentially lost a piece of my cushion of my expensive couch. Upon delivery, the driver essentially stated that the cushion was missing and must have gotten lost in transit. Safeway basically washes their hands off the problem pointing to the insurance clause that states that they only cover 60 cents/lb and that is tied to the weight of the cushion. They are like…”yeah we will try to find it for you…it might show up in 6 months. Good luck!”. This is not the level of service I expected. For the record, I have moved 5 times and have NEVER had a such a large mistake happen. I know what good service looks like and this isn’t it! The carefree attitude of this company should make you stay far away from them. They essentially dont care about your stuff once they have your initial deposit and have packed your stuff. They know you are in their hands.

Veteran owned….what a joke! You guys should be ashamed of the quality of work and customer service you are providing.

Great sales pitch. Smooth pickup. Then total radio silence.

Once they had my money and all my belongings, delivery promises meant nothing. Missed delivery windows, daily calls, zero answers, and a constant “dispatch will reach out” lie that never happened.

Customer service admitted they don’t know when my stuff will arrive and don’t care because they’re protected by the 30-day rule.

Great care was taken

Our new refrigerator was delivered, but the delivery guys wouldn't take the old one away. We called Safeway Moving Systems for a small job to just haul the old fridge from our kitchen, down a deck, and away. Jack came out himself. He was in and out in under thirty minutes. He had all the right straps and a dolly to navigate the tricky step down from the deck without damaging anything. He was friendly and didn't charge a huge minimum fee.
