Safebound Moving & Storage

I thought this was going to be an easy move given how things started so positive. However, my items were delivered in terrible condition, I was rushed through the delivery only to notice 6 items missing after the driver left. I informed the driver about one box (which as it turns out, he had on his truck and didn't deliver). I contacted Safebound right away and did not hear anything other than file my complaint with Support@safebound.com. They referred me to CSIpros to resolve my complaint. Such a joke! All reviews speak to their unprofessional handling of complaints. Ultimately I was blamed by Safebound for not writing what was missing while the driver was still at my house. He never counted the items to match them against the inventory sheet and I was busy watching his partner mishandling my boxes all over my house. They could not have left fast enough. The driver text me after arriving to their last drop off that he had one of my boxes in his truck. I asked where he was taking it. No response. No response directly from Safebound to say they were even looking for my missing items in spite of having the yellow tag numbers and pictures of what was missing. No calls have been returned. They have my items and I want them back and will pursue this until I get them back.

Watch this company! They will not help you when you most need it.

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD

If you want to make your moving experience a nightmare this is the place to call!

I have used many moving companies in the past when moving military bases and between states and even locally. This is by far the worst experince ive ever had. I got quoted around $600-$700 for a 3 hour move of a 1/1 with basically everything packed in boxes already. My new location was only 8 miles away. I had my move set for 3PM on a wednesday. It was my only day off that I was able to move thats why I scheduled for that day. They delayed to 5:30, so I started moving the essentials by myself and all of my dogs essentials. They then delayed to 7:30, until eventually they said they wont be able to come in until the next afternoon. At this point I was tired and extremely upset so I had to sleep on the floor of my new apartment because I wasnt going to move everything back. The moving crew arrived the next day and took around 4.5 hours to move everything. I was getting ready to go to work when i recieved the call of them telling me the elevator broke down with the last of my stuff inside. They said they could wait but I would be charged for the time. I had to drive back to the old apartment and get the maintenance person on it. The HOA sent the technician and told me that the moving company was responsible for the elevator damages.(im guessing they held the door too long or got something stuck or exceeded weight limit.) After they moved "all" of my things in my new apartment the final bill was around double of my quote. They didnt even apply my deposit. Apparently they werent even supposed to charge me until it got to the office but the truck driver decided to do it anyway so who knows if my credit card information is even secure. Customer service on the phone was horrible and it took 2 days of back and forth dials for them to "fix" the issue. I figured they would offer some sort of discount to make things right. They offered me $25 towards my bill if I left a good review. Which im pretty sure is against google policy.

I am now convinced all of there good reviews come from a $25 discount, not because the service was actually good. Beware these scammers.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $900

I got a video quote and went through everything in my house. When our moving day came they showed up 4 hours late and told us it would be 3 times more. We almost sent them away, but we couldn't find another truck last minute or any manpower. So we decided to use them anyway, BIG MISTAKE!

They loaded our truck but didn't fit everthing in! We had to put over $6000 of stuff on the curb! When they dropped off our stuff we had another $500 of random charges and they wouldn't give us our stuff unless we paid. Then, after unpacking, we discovered they lost an important piece of our $5000 entertainment center.

We have called their customers service team over 50 times and spent over 20 hours on the phone with them. Not one dollar in compensation for anything that happened!!!

DO NOT HIRE THEM. They are unethincal.

Horrible Service. An employee of safebound moving and storage did a walk through with me via facetime and quoted a price and said they could take all my property. They charged me double the shipping he quoted and damaged my $3,000 zero gravity agronomical bed and large tv and stand. The men who dropped and re-assembled did it all wrong and had NO RESPECT for my property. Wish I would have read all these reviews on them first. The gave me a low quote and then doubled it and there was no choice by then when they had my property. BEWARE!!! The bed TV needed an allen wrench and he used a screw gun so everything is lopsided and unsecure and you can't get the screws out. The bed frame is ripped in 2 places and the wires are just hanging so the electrical part does not work now. Betty Westberry they transported my property from Florida to Michigan. Horrible horrible horrible.

They lied from the beginning and don't have much hope for any insurance claim to help. What else could you expect.

I was with my friend the day she was moving and they were so egregiously bad and crooked, I had to do a review myself.

Let’s start off with OVER $12,000 DOLLARS WORTH OF ITEMS STOLEN. BEWARE!

Chris is one of the most unprofessional individuals I came across as I was present for the phone calls, and they blocked my friend’s number from the company so she wouldn't ask for her stolen items. Took 42 days to deliver her remaining items and they all arrived broken. I was even with her in her new location and can confirm she had none of her belongings. It was nefarious behavior at this point.

They stole:

1. Her bed

2. Her mattress

3. Expensive shoes

4. 75 inch TV

5. Several antiques

6. Crystal vanity

7. Crystal Mirror

8. Crystal Diamond coffee table

We have ALL the paper work and she has to call from different numbers so they can speak to her. Last thing they told her was "If we had your items we would have told you so, invest in an air mattress". She did the claims process like they said and they had the nerve to offer her only $300 dollars for her claim. Pertinent authorities will be contacted. I’m positive these reviews are actually bought or bots. SCAM.

The move went ok but there was some minor damage to a few pieces. We completed all the necessary paperwork with CSI their party claims company and signed release documents on12/20/2023for $57.60 to be paid by SafeBound. As of today 3/21/2024 have not received payment. Multiple phone calls(currentlyat12) voicemails and emails over the last 2 months. They have even blocked my phone number and refused to answer so my husband called from his phone and they again promised check would be issued but nothing. Do NOT use this company.
