Roadway Moving

After selling our 2nd apartment in PA, we contacted a few moving companies before hiring roadway to help move our items back to New York. The most difficult part of the move was having to deal with different moving companies, telling us different things for the same exact move. We have received pricing ranges from 400 to 6200 for the same move, from people trying to tell us that it takes 3 hours from start to finish and they charge by the hours (the drive alone takes more than that, I crossed that company off my list right away) to ones that told us that our move is about 7000lbs after visiting my home. Yet cannot seemed to be able to commit to a firm price and seemed more interested in our money than my move. This is when I feel like all movers are some sort of scam artists that their job is to confuse you enough to give them your money. Just about when we were going to hire a mover, one of our new neighbor was moving in by roadway moving. Since we were looking for a mover we thought it might be a good idea to ask our neighbor about their move, which I am glad we did. Thanks to yelp I was able to purchase their promo for a small saving. My husband finally narrowed down the search and decided to give roadway moving a call. Our representative Ken was friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain their services and fees clearly to us. He gave us a guaranteed price for the move with packing and piano move included. Prior to hiring roadway, we took our time to check out many movers and indeed they are perfect for our needs. The movers arrived at our building early and had to wait for my service elevator before they can start work. We can see the movers downstairs at the loading dock prepping materials and getting ready. Once they are in our apartment, the foreman Jose introduced himself and his team and did a walk through around my home and started the paperwork. To my surprise as we thought all movers will have adjustments and extras on the day of the move, instead everything was kept at the same price. Jose and his team just started working. They carefully wrap up my furniture and packed the kitchen along with all the artworks. The piano must have been the most difficult part of the move but they didn't seemed to have any issues. After the loading Jose came back to do a walk thru with my husband making sure everything was loaded and came back to pick up all the empty rolls of tape which I thought was a nice touch as in the past movers always left a mess for us to clean up. Next morning Jose and his team arrives at my home for the delivery. They did everything the way we want and put our furniture back together. The move was perfect. No missing or broken items from what we can tell (still unpacking). No nonsense with the pricing. And best of all everything was as promised by our move coordinator Ken and his colleagues at Roadway. It is not likely I will need a mover anytime soon, but this is definitely the mover I will call if I ever need one.

From start to finish Roadway Moving was top-notch.  The sales rep Nick Rucci began the process and answered any questions (whenever I had them- even at night or weekends)- Nick takes so much pride in his job that he provides his contact information to customers.   The loaders were great and took their time to wrap everything carefully and answer all questions.  The unloaders we're even more admirable- Idan and George were some of the nicest people I have ever met.  George and Idan were so strong and hard-working.  We ran into a challenge involving a second floor apartment and a couch (I will leave out the details), but nevertheless these two A movers came up with a resolution that I would have never thought of and were able to get the job done and the furniture was not affected. Roadway moving was my first moving company and will be my future moving company- they were great.  If you have the chance- ask for George and Idan as your deliverers- they were best in class.    .

Very trying time for my aunt when my uncle passed away but needed to get a moving company to get her items to her new apartment in Arlington, VA. She wanted to make sure that the guys would be honest, polite and understanding of her situation. Their pricing was competitive and were much more responsive to any questions we had. Their communication alone made them hands down a 100x's better than the other companies we contacted. Jose and his crew arrived early and were extremely efficient. Everything was packed up and in the truck before we knew it. They were very good at keeping a smile on my aunt's face despite everything. We contacted Mario to make sure the items would be received within the time frame the sales person had given us. She was extremely happy to know that her items would be arriving a lot sooner than anticipated.  What pleased her the most was that the same guys that helped her were there to deliver the items. She said that they had everything done in no time and that she couldn't have  been more pleased. From the pricing to the communication to making my aunt feel a bit more at ease during a tough time, we couldn't have asked for better service.

These guys operate like a well oiled machine!  The move could not have gone better, I'm very impressed with the service I was given.  The moving teams in CA and in NY were excellent.  They treated my antique China cabinet as if it were a newborn baby!  They wrapped my sofa's in so many blankets that you could not have damaged them if you tried to.  They packed and unpacked all of my boxes as promised.  I can't thank the movers enough for their work.  The delivery arrived within the timeframe that was promised to me by the salesperson who set up my move.  My biggest fear was that they were going to call me while I was at work and say the truck is outside my building which would have resulted in me running like a maniac from work to meet them.  That was not the case at all.  The dispatcher and the customer service reps called me quite a few times while the truck was on the road and let me know where the truck was and he kept making the delivery window shorter and shorter until it boiled down to an exact date/time.  The price that the salesperson gave me was the price I paid- there were not any hidden fees (this was not the case when I have moved with other companies in the past).  I highly recommend Roadway- it's a very well run organization.

I was really anxious about transferring my stuffs to my new apartment. I can’t imagine how much hassle it could cause me bringing all the tables, chairs and furniture, etc. Lucky for me, a friend told me about the excellent services of Roadway Moving. Indeed, I was really impressed. I have nothing but praises to all the crew, driver, and to everyone for a job well done. They really took care of my things and made my move totally trouble-free. They have notified me every step of transfer which assures me that my belongings are in good hands. Could not thank you enough for all the help in moving my things. It was overall a good experience dealing with the best.  All the crew members were nice and friendly. Not to mention they’re very professional, on time and the PRICE IS RIGHT. I should have done this in my past transfers. I was more than satisfied with the services and will definitely recommend Roadway Moving to everyone. Just when I thought it was going to be a bad day, Roadway Moving saves the day,hoping i'm not going to move anytime soon LOL !!  Keep it up guys and more power!! .

If you looking for a moving company stop your research now, you just found the best!At first roadway moving moved my Manhattan office, this was relatively a small move since we left most  of the furniture behind but still had to do lots of packing; at the first few minutes I already felt the well-oiled machine everyone was talking about, the guys work so well that it looks like some movers dance!The whole office stuff was in shock and everyone was so impressed.Since then few of my employees moved with roadway and they also had a great experience! Roadway moving sent an onsite estimator to evaluate the move and to make sure the estimate is a flatrate for each one of them and the movers again was great.Now came the time to move my big UWS 3 bedroom.. With full packing service and unpacking.. guess who I called? Yep.. roadway moving came to the rescue again!Jeffery came and gave us a home visit, day after he already sent me a very detailed binding estimate and was able to fit me at the day that I want.When the movers came they worked well with my building and made sure to cover all floors, right away they started to work and show their magic again! Joselin was my foreman and I highly recommend you to ask for him. He runs the show like a pro.The move was completed on time with no extra costs, no damages  and after unpacking they took all the waste with them so we just went back to normal day after the move.The best move I have done was to choose roadway, they gave me the best moving experience I have ever had.

I researched at least 10 companies before choosing Roadway. I was very concerned about the many warnings that I read about the moving industry in general. It took me weeks to make a decision as it was a large move to another state. If you are in the process of choosing I will save you time. This is an excellent company!!
Roadway came today and moved all of our stuff into the trucks. It was Avi's team. Avi, Manuel, Alejandro, Chao, Anthony and Carlos. THEY WERE FANTASTIC!! They worked incredibly hard, were extremely organized, very polite and intelligent, and worked very well as a team. I was incredibly impressed at their skill level and professionalism. I am now feeling very relaxed that my belongings will arrive safely and in great shape. They actually exceeded my expectations!! If I ever have to move again I would hire them in a second.

This was a great experience. They were very professional. I moved 300 miles from Brooklyn to the Southern Tier of NY. I was quoted a price and when I called before the move and removed a few boxes and items the price was adjusted down. There was no funny business with the price. They were easy to get in touch with also. Mitch, who was in charge the day of the move, was great. They came on time and everything was packed so carefully. I was impressed. Even though they got great reviews I was nervous because of all the horror stories you hear about movers. I had nothing to fear. It was so easy. I requested Mitch to deliver my belongings also. They let me know the day before the delivery and Mitch called a couple of hours before to let me know his arrival time. I could not have imagined a better move. You cannot go wrong with these guys. Great!

After reading the reviews and checking BBB, I chose Roadway for my move from Long Island to Manhattan, and from beginning to end this experience was far better than any move I've had. Joy in the office was polite, friendly, straightforward and professional. On the day of the move, Javier and his team showed up on time (called first to let me know exactly when they'd arrive), and literally did not stop for a break until our townhome was empty and the truck was full. Javier was immediately reassuring and the rest of his team were friendly and fun to work with, and absolutely tireless. When they arrived in the city for the load-in, they were just as tireless, careful, friendly and efficient, plus they were respectful of the building's personnel and other tenants. They even returned minutes after leaving at the end of the day to bring us two light bulbs - yes, light bulbs - they and I (Javier made sure I looked through the truck when they were done) hadn't noticed! No damage, no issues with pricing, and no stress. Highly recommend and would absolutely use them again!

Moving is frustrating, exhausting, and all you want is to get it done with as less pain as possible..
After having a bad experience on my first move I did my research before choosing Roadway.
Roadway provided an exceptional service from A-Z.
The moving consultant was super informative and responsive every time we called.
On the day of the move 3 movers showed up on time, no surprises with the price, and most importantly - they were super professional and trained which resulted in 0 damages to our furniture.
The delivery crew was just as nice and thorough as the pick up crew.
I'd highly recommend them for any kind of move and will definitely use them in the future!

    Move Completed Date:  March 14 Professional moving service from a-z.Disassemble ,wrapping  all  my furniture , make sure all safe to load to the truck.Unload and reassemble all furniture.. I moved local and I called roadway moving  to get a quote.It was easy to deal with the sales rep  and make the reservation.It was pleasure dealing with the sales rep that explaine everything how the move work ,so the move will be painless.They told be that my move is based on hourly  rate and they were right about the time.The crew that arrive  were polite and took extreme  care in  handling my furniture.They wrap all the furniture ,disassemble my bed and took care of my mattress .Roadway made everything right from the sales rep, to the schudale the move ,to the professional crew that came to my house.I was happy doing business with roadway moving  . I was moving from Jersey City to SF. I had asked for a quote online and was sent an email the next day. I followed-up with a phone call, and they gave me a quote after walking me through all of the items I needed to be moved. I asked around and altho they were $700 more than, the number of 5* reviews and SO FEW less than 4* reviews told me it was probably worth it.
 
Movers came to my apartment exactly on time, despite the snow the night before. Their scheduled time as 9-11AM. They called at 8:15AM letting me know that they would be there by 9AM. They came and wrapped up all of my furniture with care, took them out on their own dollies. They were courteous & quick. They were out the door by 11:15AM.
 
I was initially given a 2-4 week delivery window. Around 1 week in, I started getting calls letting me know that my stuff was already getting driven out to SF. About 2 weeks in, I started getting almost daily phone calls or texts from the driver letting me know where he was: Omaha, Nevada, California at another site..
 
The only snafu was my neighborhood didn't allow 18 wheelers, so they had to transfer my stuff onto a smaller truck to delivery to me. They let me know 3 days ahead of time and still kept their target delivery date.
 
The unpacking was smooth. Everything was put back together well, and on time. They called me that morning to confirm an around 1PM. At 12:30PM I got a calling letting me know it'll be closer to 1:30PM due to traffic.. They arrived at 1:35PM.
 
Everything was ON TIME, and I was informed every step along the way. they're GREAT!

Last week during midnight I got a call from my head office that I have to join a new location the next week. At first I got much tensed because moving all your stuff in such a short notice was next to impossible. I consulted many friends but I could not find any positive response. I contacted Roadway Moving and explained my problem. I was shocked to see that they agreed to transport all my stuff overnight and without even charging an unaffordable price. They packed all the items with so much care and speed. It was clearly visible that they had an expertise in this area. Not a single person in their team was unprofessional. They were very polite and calm. The same night they loaded the cargo and left for the new place. Next morning they helped me in unpacking and setting all the items in place. Roadway Moving really helped me shift with ease. I am really happy with their service and recommend them strongly.

Let me just start by saying these guys were absolutely amazing!
My wife and I live in a old pre war building (walk up 5 flights; not to mention she is pregnant!) so we moved into a bigger apartment to accommodate the new member of our family that will be joining us at any moment. Well, as many of us do..I work extremely long hours and travel often for business and my wife has been working between the office and home these days so it has been difficult finding the time to even start packing boxes. Thankfully after doing some research online I found Roadway. And let me say, their reputation speaks for itself. Not are they only extremely knowledgeable but super friendly and great people period.
I spoke with Efrain who went over everything for me and presented all of my options. I told him we wanted them to pack everything, as we had no time to really take care of this ourselves and getting my pregnant wife to do this was not going to be the easiest task at hand. He took his time and explained and discussed everything right over the phone in terms of how long it would take, and a full price breakdown. We even agreed that after scheduling the move that they could send a representative by to double check our stuff to make sure we had accounted for everything. For the most part we were on point except a few items I thought we would not be taking that my wife decided she still wanted to keep. Long story short. 4 guys came on the day of with all the materials needed and did the entire move for us. Packing of all the boxes, wrapping of the furniture. You name it these guys were top notch! We didn't lift a finger! Needless to say we are now in our new apartment and couldn't be happier. These guys are great and would recommend to any member of my family or close friends.
