Not a Professional Company.

I'll make this short. The moving company was very late picking up with no ETA phone call. My items had to be stored and redelivered. There were no "free blanket wrap" used on my furniture so it was very damaged when it arrived. I was missing numerous items and called twice while movers were present. I did several follow up emails with damages, pictures and missing item list. I also had another clients items that I sent a picture in to show. To date still no response. I had to put in a complaint with the BBB.
The pick up was June 30 and delivery was July 2. The picture provided is the other clients items so if they are recognized please contact me.
I had to click rating to post. I would give zero.

Quick Move.

I was surprised how quick my move was: got it picked up in Montreal September 5th, delivered September 19th in Edmonton. The guys who did delivery were professional and polite, used runners not to damage my floors. I was watching them the whole time and did not notice anything disagreeable. I did all the packing myself - and triple checked for damages - there were none - and sure you would expect some, going all he way across the country. I would have improved their inventory, but I made my own list that I was going by. I had o problems with this company and their rates are the cheapest.

Corny, careless, terrible service.

I had decided to use Ram before reading the reviews ( which are mostly negative for a good course). I called Amy to express my concern after reading them all, she assured she’ll personally make sure everything would be smooth & no surprise since my quote was all inclusive, that any variation would be based on weight. She had been helpful & seemingly honest to that point so I believed her.
I was moving from regina to Mississauga & had to go ahead since there wouldn’t be a pick up till after the holidays.
I called 2 days after my things were picked for final quote & 1.5weeks later but got nothing. Amy promised to check with the truck and mail me back & never did till delivery date. I get a call the day before delivery told to pay 600+, followed by email with account details. No details of the final quote.
Driver shows up next days (nice guy by the way) and I see they had padded in about $200 (scale, warehouse& fictitious 100+lb)
Looking at the bill, I could see they had been fiddling with the numbers(guess trying to work out how much they could scheme off without getting noticed)
Amy suddenly became clueless & was stupidly trying to justify wrong billing of items clearly stated on her quote at no additional cost. John comes on to convince me that my math was off & I should pay for 143lb extra instead of 43lb.
Long story short, I refused to pay till the scam was pulled. the genius finally saw his error & asked the driver to strike of all the extras. I paid only the $23 extra due.
Opened the boxes days later and found my monitor had been broken despite bold “fragile -computer screen” label.
Use them at your own risk, carry all your frigiles with you if you do.

Long-distance move from Gravelbourg, SK to Okotoks, AB

Complete moving amateurs, professional con artists.

In Apr/17 My family used Real Alberta Moving Services to move my elderly parents belongings from Saskatchewan to Okotoks, AB. They were the worst moving service we could have chosen. Complete amateurs. Just a horrible experience.
- They quoted a price that turned out to be half the actual cost of the move, saying the weight was more than expected.
- Almost anything of value my parents had was damaged or broken.
- No proper wrapping of fragile items, furniture, etc. The most perplexing was couch cushions taped to the underside of a table as if to protect it but nothing on the table top (see photo). When the tape was removed it ruined the table top finish and all the edges of the table were damaged. The table became garbage.
- Only one item, a piano, was delivered into a house, the rest of the shipment into a garage for storage. The movers significantly gouged a 15 foot section of floor moving the piano, the only item they had to be more careful with! No straps or dolly used, nothing to protect the floor. The piano itself was damaged in over 10 places, no wrapping/blankets.
- Many smaller items were packed into large tower size clothing boxes with no wrap or anything to protect the items. Many of the boxes were crushed and items damaged or broken.
- When we complained, the company's offer was $100 provided we left no negative reviews with the BBB etc.
This company took advantage of two 80+ year olds and destroyed much of their personal effects aquired over a lifetime. They should not be in business.

Worst Company Ever.

My experience with RAM was horrendous. When they showed up to pick up our belongings things seemed great. We were told a 5-7 day delivery time, which turned into 12 days.. causing us to take a day off work at our new jobs to accommodate their delivery time.
Several of our items ( dressers, coffee tables, end tables and about 10 boxes) were damaged, some no longer usable. We has boxes and totes labelled " very fragile" and " keepsakes" that were absolutely destroyed and piled into our new homes UPSIDE DOWN! They could not get the couch in the front dorr properly causing a huge hole in the wall and smashing lightbulbs and not cleaning it up. We had a jetski and a golf cart on the truck. When they showed up to our original location to load it up, the moving truck was equipped with a lift to get the golf cart up. When they delivered our stuff, the truck had no lift. When it came time for them to offload the golfcart they looked at me as if it was my issue. After trying to get the cart off for about 2.5 hours, they got very frustrated and drove to a nearby hill. Then, they offloaded another customers mattresses and boxsprings and proceeded to drive the golfcart onto the mattress. The tires were spinning and the cart completely sunk into the mattress and boxspring. I told them to stop because that was another persons belongings and their exact response was " not our problem, we need to get going and are going to be late". I was mortified for those poor customers who would receive a torn up mattress after dealing with the stress of a move. I have been trying to deal with the claims department for 4 months now and you think they answer back to emails? NO. the only answer I got was when I asked for a phone number to call and deal with the issue, they replied that they only deal with claims online. That's great.. then deal with it!!
I would never use this company again, despite being the lowest priced company we found.. It would have been worth it to pay the extra, nor would I recommend it to anyone who cares about there belongings. People work hard for their money to buy the things they have, and to have it completely disrespected was so shameful, not to mention most people don't have the money to purchase new things after a big move where the company destroys their valuables.

Terrible service RAM, you guys should be embarrassed!

Oh and I had to select a start to publish the review, they should have a minus star button..

Please read all reviews before you hire this compnay.

If you value your possessions at all I encourage you to use any other moving company than Real Alberta Moving. This company will not take of beloved possessions and you will be heart broken when your things arrive in pieces.

I used Real Alberta Moving to move from Alberta to Mississauga Nov 2016 and for that move I packed all of my own things myself and not item got broken. Because that move went so well when asked to move back to Alberta Sept 2017, I didn't hesitate and to call this mover and book them to move me back but this time I wanted to use their packing services.

From the way that my things were packed by them, many of my possessions are now broken. I won't list all of them on here but I do have pictures and please feel free to email me. Also there is still a whole box still missing and when they delivered my things to my new place they missed delivering a whole bed and were caught dragging my couch on the ground.

Please please please ensure to read the small print of their contract before they move anything of yours as it states that their coverage is basic carrier’s insurance that pays out at $0.60 per pound/per article and includes a $500.00 deductible. Not once in all of the conversations I had with them did they mention anything to me about a deductible and it isn't until they have your things loaded on the truck that you will sign the contract.

Due the damages and missing item I had to file a claim with them. Be warned that this company DOES NOT have a contact # for their claims department and that this company decided all on their own without discussing anything with me on what my possessions and missing items were worth.

They at first made me an insulating offer of $50 for all of the damages and for my missing possessions and to make a long story short today and after waiting a month they offered me $100 for the damages but I wouldn't be allowed to post reviews.

You'll will notice from all the other reviews posted on this site that $100 seems to be their standard offer and not once did they take responsibility nor did anyone apologise to me on how my things or me had been treated.

I did not accept their horrible offer as I feel it is more important to warn the public about this company and can not caution people enough about their horrible treatment of me and my possessions. This company needs to be put out of business.

Long-distance move from Calgary, AB to Toronto, ON

Still miss my computer, studio monitors and wife's wardrobe.

We chose this company to move us from Alberta to Ontario a few years ago and it was a nightmare. Everything was smooth and dandy while booking it and even when the movers came to pick up our stuff, everything seemed ok.

Then, once they had our stuff they were not able to give us an ETA for arrival. Once the stuff finally was ready to arrive, I was told over the phone that it would be $500 more because the wording they used to rope me in did not include a certain charge.

When our stuff arrived a highly valuable box (my computer! and studio monitors and music making equipment, shoes and winter clothes) was missing as well as a suitcase with my wife's entire summer wardrobe, something she'd been collecting for the past 10 years.

They were very insincere in helping us track down the missing stuff and we never got it back. We learned the hard way; if you value your items, choose a reputable company even if it costs a little bit more.

It was years ago and we still talk about our missing items. I filed complaints with the BBB and other outlets but none of them were able to help us get any type of compensation.

I absolutely detest this company and am highly skeptical of any positive reviews I read about them.

Long-distance move from Alberta to British Columbia

Real Alberta Moving.

This company lied from the start when they told us our items would not be off-loaded in the 2 weeks prior to final delivery. This was definitely not true (everything was in a different order on the truck when it arrived) and because of it we had many damaged items including some irreplaceable antiques. Additionally there were damaged lamps, gouges in furniture, many, many, many broken items in boxes (and everything breakable had been packed/wrapped) , broken pictures (that had been extremely well wrapped), well ,the list just goes on and on. We documented with pictures and the company offered an unbelievable $70.00; after we refused they changed the offer to $100.00 provided we gave no negative reviews, which we also refused. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you care about your belongings.

Do not recommend!

Promised 8-10 days delivery! Our shipment was picked up at our house in Ontario on July 21st and we got it at our new home in Sorrento on August 14th. Our shipment sat in Richmond for over a week because they did not have a full load coming to Sorrento BC. When spoke to the individual in Richmand was told "It is your problem not mine!" Unprofessional on each end for handling. Freezers turned upside down, labeling not understandable. They charged us $200.00 handling fee for our motorcycle. On both ends the delivery wanted us to ride bike up and down ramp!! Unbelievable damage. Pictures sent and was told after the $500 deductible they would give us $100 and then we were not allowed to give a bad review! When we responded it was not acceptable did not hear from them. Sent another email and still no response. So I hope this review will cost them thousands in lost customers. Plus there are some boxes missing because I could not make sense of the # system. When I explained that the boxes did not match any #,s on the box or items. I was told to count the # of items received to the # of items on the list. Doesn't work that way. Now I can't tell which boxes are missing because the #'s don't match. The worst of it all was that on every box we put our new address on and we still didn't get them all! So I hope RAM Moving that the money you saved by not paying us out is worth the thousands you hopefully lose to get a bad review??

Long-distance move from Alberta to Saskatchewan

Worst moving experience possible.

As per other reviews, I had a very similar experience from my from Calgary, Alberta to Regina, Saskatchewan moving experience.
Delivery date was not met, the manager, John A. yelled at me numerous times when I inquired about expected delivery date and lack of communication, Tracy Boyd continuously gave me the run around when asking for dates, majority of my belongings were damaged with no reimbursement or reply from the claims departments email provided, double charged for the stair fee and then verbally abused by the deliverers.
Overall, the company is very disrespectful and pull you in by dealing with Tracy, who seems very nice at first then avoids you after you have a complaint to address with them. John raised his voice multiple times at me when I was trying to get answers about where my stuff was and when I was going to receive it after being told it was going to be a week and didn't end up getting it in the same condition it was picked up in. Every single one of my durable totes, which made it through other moves perfectly fine, were completely destroyed and then taped up or tossed into bigger boxes, a new dresser was damaged and falling apart, mirror was broken and the list goes on.
When I was finally scheduled to get my belongings delivered, the deliverer swore and yelled at me after I stated I already paid for the stairs fee. I ended up spending well over the agreed amount in the beginning.
Obviously, I would not recommend this company for a move.

Long-distance move from Calgary, AB to Nanaimo, BC

Fraudulent at worst, incompetent and deceitful at best.

I'm a post-secondary student, and as such, usually prefer to do the fiscally-sound thing and take care of moving on my own, when I have to do it. I noticed a few companies, Real Alberta Moving (RAM) being one of them, which listed price quotes for moving goods that were almost identical to the costs of renting a moving truck, and I decided to contact them. RAM provided me a quote, and told me in writing and verbally that they doubted I had more than 3000lbs of goods to move after I explicitly listed exactly what items I needed moved; I agreed - I had moved my home before on my own and knew what my goods weighed, approximately. They provided me a quote - in writing - that stated the price was for 'all inclusive service before tax'. The person at RAM also told me delivery dates were flexible to my needs - I indicated the dates I was wanting for delivery, and told this would not be a problem. Given an initial positive impression, I made a booking.

The following problems occurred:

- When the movers showed up, despite all our goods being packed and organized to go, we were told that some had to be put in 'certain kinds' (their words) of boxes/packing, and because ours were not in those 'certain kinds', they had to pack them for us. An 'approved' cardboard box for a TV was listed at $50, for example. A 'special' clothing box was about $30. We were told our bed had to be wrapped in vinyl/plastic, and that was even MORE money. When I called to inform the company of these hidden fees that were not listed on their website nor in our quote, I was rudely put on hold immediately, only to then be told that it was 'their policy' (how can it be policy if it isn't written anywhere?), and that beds (for example) can be worth thousands, so that's why they needed to be wrapped - again, nowhere in the price quote nor on their website does RAM state what type of packaging is required for one's goods. I have moved houses before - I know how to pack, and my goods were in boxes and everything that needed disassembly had been disassembled.

- The delivery was sub-contracted to someone else; our goods were taken to a central location in the province we were moving to and left there. Getting a hold of the people holding our goods was extremely problematic; call-backs were repeatedly promised, but did not occur for over ten days. When I did hear from someone, I was told they would only deliver to our new home on weekends, not weekdays. I explained how this was not what was agreed to, and how it didn't work as the company I was renting my house from had to be present and did not have an employee who worked weekends. I was told that there was no other option, and that they put multiple people's goods together for delivery, and would only deliver when they had enough goods to make a run. This was not revealed as company policy in advance.

- I was told that my household goods weight over 4200 pounds. As mentioned earlier, I had discussed my exact belongings with the company in advance and was told there was no way they would weigh that much. I have previously moved all of my goods in a five tonne truck on my own, and the truck wasn't even close to full. Given that I know what it took to move my goods before, and the fact that the company had lied about packing fees and delivery times, you can see why I found this alleged weight hard to believe; if they pack multiple people's goods into a truck for delivery from their central dispatch in the province I went to, what proof is there that they did not do the exact same thing when moving intra-provincially, and are just giving me the total truck weight with other people's goods on board as well? They could not provide any, and simply said the weight would be indicated on the invoice/weightbill.

In short, this company is terrible, and I am paying (literally) for not having done more research in advance. Their BBB rating is atrocious, their Yelp and other social media rankings even worse. You would think a company with such a terrible reputation might want to do something to improve it, but I was stone-walled at every turn.

Short version:

- They lied about their price quote being 'all inclusive' (exorbitant box/wrapping fees they don't tell you about).
- They lied about delivery dates, insofar as they refused to deliver when I had mentioned needing my goods.
- The movers who showed up remarked on how relatively little material we had. I listed in advance to them, in detail, what I needed moved, and was told that it would not exceed the 3000 pound quote; I could possibly see some room for variance, but not over 1200 pounds worth. This leaves me skeptical of them accurately measuring the weight of my goods, mostly because of the previous lies I was told.

Real Alberta Moving are fraudulent at worst, or if I was to be charitable, I would state that they are incompetent and deceitful. Stick with moving your home yourself, as I should have and normally do, or seek out a better-rated company.

Interesting.

I find it very curious and interesting that there are so many real reviews on here which are negative - those I believe - compared to the 5 star ones that I am positive are written by the company itself - BS I say - awful how this company can still operate - glad I am booking with someone else - I received a quote and read the reviews and feel horrible for all the previous customers who got duped and out of pocket from these thieves and liars!

International move from Scottsdale, AZ to Calgary, AB

Give this company ZERO stars.

On July 1, Real Alberta Moving promised pickup between July 27 and 30 (actual date to be told 24 hours in advance) for a total cost of $6000 (CAD approx.) for a USA - Canada move, and took $300 in advance.
- I booked cleaners and handover to landlady for July 31 (who booked new tenants for August 1, and they booked their movers, etc.).
- I also booked hotels and tours (mostly non-refundable) for a week long drive from Phoenix to Calgary (for a family of four with two adults with full time jobs, and a six year and a two year old boy).

Dispatcher Sam from Real Alberta Moving called on July 27 to say cannot pick up before August 1 or 2.

None of the persons I spoke to subsequently helped me with this situation. Real Alberta Moving absolved themselves of all responsibility to our negotiated agreement, leaving me with with all associated costs. A complete run down of discussions below:

On July 1, 2017
- Sales Rep John made the sale and took the deposit.

On July 13, 2017
- I emailed to ask if a date of pickup is available.
- Tanya responded to say they "still have a window of the 27-30th. They haven’t narrowed it down yet." referring to the dispatchers.
- I called to ask John for some help but got Tanya on phone. She said John was away and that they would probably narrow the day not before the week of travel.

On July 24, 2017
- I called as this was the week of travel and three days before the earliest arrival date (i.e. July 27)
- John was not available to take my call
- Tanya said they would only give me the information "24 hours before arrival date"
- I asked for Supervisor.
- Office Manager Amy came on the line after 25 minutes and showed me where to find the "24 hours before arrival date" disclaimer.
- Upon my plea, she found information that the Truck would come on June 29 but would confirm time "24 hours before arrival"

On June 26
- I got a called from Real Alberta Moving dispatcher from Richmond BC asking if it would be possible to schedule the move for August 2.
- I said that not would be acceptable to me for many reasons (handover of rental property to landlord on to next tenant on July 31; cancellation of bookings and associated costs; stress on having to cancel and change travel plans with small children).
- The dispatcher said they would call back.

On July 27
- I called Real Alberta Moving and Amy answered; - I informed her about the call from the dispatcher.
- Amy said that dispatcher would call back once their Richmond BC office opened (in about 10 minutes).
- When no call back was received for two hours, I called Amy back, waited on hold for 25 minutes, and Amy told me the dispatcher is going to call me now.
- Dispatcher called right then, spoke aggressively and tried to back away from the deal, offered to give me my deposit back, refused to compensate for any other costs I would incur due to their breaking contract.
- I called Amy back and got John on the phone instead. Got a great sales pitch (a promise of discount on total cost), but no concrete offer to fix the problem. Instead, he asked me to tell landlady to postpone my move out and new tenants move in.

Found a different moving company (one that had reached out at the time of initial bid). They informed me that this is happening more often due to less stringent regulation and greater predatory practices of agents (not moving companies themselves). Overall, my cost increased by about 4000 dollars (CAD).

Long-distance move from Campbell River, BC to Sherwood Park, AB

Moving from BC to Alberta.

Looked up one mover on Internet. Got email from 20 automatically.
Got one from Real Alberta Moving. Amy was the person who was so nice and reassuring (too nice is the problem) that how could I not go with them. They ask me how much weight I had. We went through everything and they estimated it and quoted. (Found out later that they just wanted to keep it low until they got my stuff in the truck ) Then they have full control. They came to pack (late by the way)
They started to pack happy and whistling all the way. When done they asked me to sign a paper charging me $290.00 for packing. They said they needed to use certain boxes and this is just their part of the payment form Real Alberta Moving. They were contractors.
They had my stuff in their truck and I would not get it if I did not sign it.
RAM advertises that they use government certified scales. Misleading people into believing it is weighed on pick up and drop off at the highway scales which is what I asked the driver if he was doing. He said he was going to weigh it leaving town.
They showed up three days late with no phone calls until late the night before coming in the morning and warning me of the cost, (doubled) and that I need to pay when they arrive or they will not bring my stuff.
You have no choice if you want your stuff.
This is a planned strategy to get the goods in the truck first and then they can take you to the cleaners.
Upon delivery the boxes were broken and busted open and looked like footballs.
Many things were broken and one box missing.
I have all the pics.
Then when leaving they put my dolly in their truck and took it to Calgary.
When trying to contact this company it is impossible to talk to anyone and when asking for a manager everyone you talk to tells you that they are the manager. I called many times and got the same story. everyone I wanted to talk to was out and the person you talked to was the manager. I asked for John who first told me he was the manager. Was told he would call me back. Never did.
Never could talk to Amy again.
When I called back they said have a good day. They can now get back to fooling and ripping off others that call before they check their reputation.
I have moved to 25 different address around the world and this is by far the most dishonest, keneiving moving company I have ever had to deal with.
Every turn is covered by some excuse. Be aware of the weighing method as well. They take it to their warehouse and weigh it and then tell you the weight, always more than they estimate but they got you by then because your stuff is in their truck.
I looked at their reviews and it is horrendous. I bet in a while they will be operating under another name and back doing it all over again because going by the reviews here the name is no value if the company is googled.
One manager was Amy, one was John , one was I forget but there was 4 people I talked to and they were all the manager.
I think all relatives from Turkey.
They are so in your face blatantly trying to make you believe what they were saying but you know it is not true. They stick with their story to the end.
Do not go anywhere near those guys.
Every aspect of the move or dealing with these guys was sleazy.
Tried to add more pics but this site won't let me.

If you use this company be prepared for Unprofessional staff in all aspects of the business from booking agents to ware house staff to the persons that handle lost items( Stolen ) to management . You will be lied to from the minute you book.

Be ware your delivery will not take 6 to 10 business days , it took our 45 business days for ours , numerous phone calls , numerous emails etc. They say they will get back to you end of day and never do .
All the persons I spoke to lie because the must fill containers and it could take months before they are full , after 30 business days our stuff was still in Kingston not moved not loaded , They will blame the dispatch warehouse personnel . The manager will blame everyone in the company for the mistakes they will never take responsibility.
They promised a discounted rate for the lateness but this to is a scam. At the end I paid more and when they are ready to deliver this is when they tell you they cannot make any discounts. and of course they have your items so you pay or they will keep it .
They told me that they fired the person who quoted me 6 to 10 business days blaming her for the delay.
When I called back anonymously they again quoted me 6-10 business days.
This is false representation to get your buisness .
When our things finally arrived a large piece was missing worth 6000 dollars. Well after this they don't speak to you at all .
they give you an email to file your claim and they will pay you per pound 60 cents which if you do the math because they will only pay up to 25 lbs .
We have had to go through our house insurance . One last thing the owner lives off shore .

Complete Lack of Information Received.

I used this company for a move from the US to Canada. There was a complete lack of information and communication between me and the company. I routinely called them for updates and information regarding my move but I was never called back. They never informed me of the method of required payment this caused me to have to pay a COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE 3% fee on top of my bill. Also they scamming on weights, they are charging over weight.
Better than you book u-haul and bring your stuff on time also reasonable price it’s little bit headache but better than frustration.

Bad experience.

Ad experience ,they are cheaters . When I called them, they gave me the lowest quote compared to all other companies. When I booked with them and asked for the final price by email ( in written), they didn't reply .I send them reminders but no reply. Their booking agent Taniya is not reliable or doing it purposely so that at the end she will come up with hidden charges. So I decided not to use their services after booking and lost my $150 deposit. Be careful.

Beware.

Highly unprofessional service. The pickup time promised was between 2pm and 4pm but the driver did not show up until 7:30pm. The office was closed at 5 without ensuring either proper service or updates given to us. The drivers were constantly complaining of having to drive long hours to my wife, tried to scam her into paying them while loading which was not what was told to us, and even threatened my wife to abort the loading when she tried to enquire about one of the columns in their Inventory List. This is just the ordeal during pick-up, hope the drop isn't as bad or I'll have to write another review. If you care for your stuffs, do it yourself. Avoid these people at all costs, I'll be taking my business elsewhere for sure.

My move accross canada.

3800.00 later. Waited 2 weeks for my stuff. Every item was scratched, legs broken off of things, pieces missing. One person to unload a 3 bedroom house move. You can't even call to talk to the claims department. I put in a claim with photos. 2 months later they come up with a "generous offer" $98.00. What a joke. Not impressed. Highly do NOT RECOMMEND.

Hostage Takers - Worst company ever!! Not even 1 star worthy.

They are truly the worst - don't believe the quote you get. You can have it in writing, but they will try to add to the weight (I had a small move, easily less than 1000 lbs, but first weigh in was over 1600 lbs. They claimed they didn't know what happened and "re-weighed" it and hmmm - now it was 1100 lbs (which is still way over what the original weight is) But they found lots of extras to add on to the bill to ensure they were getting more money. Bubble wrap for a wooden table?? Additional unauthorized wrapping at another cost although they claim to offer free moving blankets, stair charge that was given to me the day of the move, fuel charge, warehouse handling.
Absolutely the WORST company I have every dealt with. I refuse to pay their extra bogus charges, they refuse to deliver my possessions. I will be taking legal action against this terrible terrible company. Warning to anyone thinking of booking them - read the reviews. Everything that people have said about them has happened to me.

If you value your possessions and sanity, don't use this company!!

This was the worst move I've ever experienced. Once they got my deposit, they stopped answering my emails and refused to confirm when I would receive my stuff. It ended up taking well over a week longer than they originally told me, and when they arrived they tried to charge extra because my building was a walk up. Every single box was dirty and dented, and a couple were even open. One had what looked like cat litter sprinkled inside, and another was wet. Several of my things were damaged, including my sewing machine and fabric steamer, and I ended up having to take them to small claims court to recoup some of my losses. Awful company!

Negative Stars!!

On Oct 09/20, we used this company to pickup and store our household goods and I’m submitting this review with the hope it will prevent other people from experiencing the problems we had by using this company. If you are considering using this firm for your next move, I strongly suggest you don’t.

I had used this company on two occasions in the past and under the management of Ozzy, the Calgary facilities manager, I had excellent results, however from the last time I used them until this time, they changed management at this facility.

On this move I had dealings/communications with 3 different people, Zoe (manager), Amy, (sales rep), and Melody, (manager). I also requested to talk with Sam, (facilities manager), who would not return my calls. In all cases I found it impossible to get follow up and was continually lied to about the condition of the storage as well as the actual weight of the shipment.

The most concerning issue was that they attempted to overcharge me by adding 2835lbs of weight on my shipment and storage. Only after I insisted that they reweigh the shipment in my presence did they agree to make the corrections of $1,393.33 to my final invoice.

During the pickup, they ran out of space on the truck and at 7pm Friday night told me that I would need to arrange to have the residual picked up on my own. After I insisted they needed to address this they advised that they had made arrangements with the Calgary team who would contact me to resolve the problem and they promptly left. No one from the Calgary office ever called. Some days later and after I made arrangements to remove the last of the furniture, I called the office to confirm the furniture was in fact there and in proper storage crates and to request an explanation for not taking all the furniture. I was told by Melody the shipment was there and in storage crates, and because she had no record of furniture being left behind, I must be mistaken. She also said she would follow up with the pickup team and advise, but never returned the call. Melody made it clear she was not interested in addressing any of my questions or concerns. After making a number of calls to Zoe, it became clear she had little interest to address any questions/concerns and would never follow up on promises or return calls.

Our furniture was to be in storage for up to 4 months and they had advised and assured me it was in storage crates, however after making a surprise visit to the warehouse 40 plus days after the pickup date the shipment was not in crates and scattered on the warehouse floor. Based on this I had them deliver the shipment to a new storgage space that was not under their control.

As we work through the shipment we have found a number of broken/damaged/missing pieces, and they have not offered support.
