PLEASE do not use this company! I am only putting the one star because I have to to leave a review. I would put negative stars if I could. They are a complete scam. They will be your best friend until they get your down payment, then they disappear. After the initial call telling me the date range of my pickup, I received no further calls. I had to chase down my pickup day and time by a missed call (no message) on my cell. I was told they would be there the next morning. No show. (I had even called that morning to reconfirm!). Customer service (who was a rude offensive young man that basically told me to get over it) told me they had a call into the driver and would call back..never did! Finally got to head of customer service who assured me the second day they would be there by noon, no doubts. (She even told me she had put a check in the mail that day to refund $250 for the trouble I was going through. Of course that check never arrived) Second day same thing! No show until 6pm. Then the second scam began. Driver tried to get me to sign the manifest papers before he had even lifted a finger or looked at anything. Wanted to charge for moving blankets!?? Wanted to crate my furniture because he said it was fine furniture. This furniture was hand-me-downs worth nothing being moved to a vacation camp. Then he said the weight was over. He had not lifted a finger and had barely looked at anything and the weight was over? Even though all items were exactly as the original quote was written up. He tried everything to scam me for more money than our original quote! (I won't go into detail about how crude and unprofessional they were) The contract says to call Professional Moving and Storage if the driver tries to alter any prices, weight, etc and also not to sign anything until talking to them so I immediately started making calls. Guess what? NO ONE WOULD ANSWER. Even called the private cell of the customer service head that told me to call her personally and she would always pick up. NOTHING, Tried texting.. No answer. Now we are in a fight to get refunded our deposits. They say to email them for the request with the explanation, but of course they do not respond. They have shut down my quote page and it says to call customer service who of course does not answer. RUN from this company!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $3400

Recently, I was tasked by the company I work for to get quotes on moving our offices from one location to another in New York City. After checking out several different moving companies, I chose Professional Moving and Storage. From my initial phone call, all the way to when they moved that last ficus plant, I couldn't have been more pleased. One of the main reasons I went with this company is because of their flat-rate fee, as opposed to hourly pricing. Why should I have to pay extra if there happens to be more traffic that day? The quote they gave me and the final bill were the same, with no hidden fees or charges. Also, not all companies were willing to pack and unpack our entire offices, but Professional Moving and Storage was up for the challenge and gave me an excellent price. Overall, they got the job done fast and nothing was damaged. I would definitely use Professional Moving and Storage again and recommend them highly.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $830

They were very good. they came out, looked at what I needed to move; they were the only ones that actually did that. The other ones just gave me an estimate over the phone which was quite a bit higher. They showed up on time, they moved everything with care and it was very good, nothing was damaged or broken. They put everything in the house and it was fine. they did not change the pricing, In fact, they took a couple extra pieces that weren't part of the original estimate and they kept the same price. I did expect to pay more because I added a couple items but they were fine.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1700

I hired them to move my items inter-state and they contracted with Direct Movers who they claimed to be working with for 10 years without incident. (see their reviews for other horror stories: yelp.com/biz/direct-move…).

Long story short: the movers held my things hostage for 3 weeks extorting me for an additional $2000. I had to get the DOT and local police involved before I got them back. When I finally got my things back, many things were broken, damaged or missing.

Instead of Professional Moving and Storage helping me alleviate this situation, they said I should just pay the additional money. They blamed me for this situation because they messed up the contract with Direct Movers.

When they finally agreed to refund me for this disaster, they only paid my deposit, despite me giving the full amount in their name to Direct Movers, as directed by them. Turns out Direct Movers fraudulently cashed the money order in their name and they refused to get it back from him to refund me. I'm now going to have to sue and contact the authorities to resolve this.

This is a scam. Be careful.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1800

This company is horrible! Stay away from unless you like throwing money away. They required an approximate $2200 deposit for a move from NJ to Alabama. Movers showed up nearly 2 days late and demanded more money for all sorts of things that were supposed to be included. We sent them away and did the move ourselves. Have reported them for fraudulent business practices to Am Express and in the process of doing same with NJ and Florida. Nice to have an attorney in the family to help with that!

Diligent and timely in service delivery. The list is endless. I seem to love everything about Professional Moving and Storage. They are just incredible. When their crew came over to help me relocate, there were so many lovely things I learnt about them. Everything I saw was perfect. They possessed nearly all the traits I wanted for a perfect service provider. I will always live to appreciate their efforts in ensuring that I relocated safely and peacefully.I had a good service. They were really helpful shipping my luggage. They were on time. I did not have any issue with them. Pricing was good. Normal as expected.

The most important thing was taken care of. Everything got there around the time they promised. It was nice to have pricing that was all inclusive. We got a quote from another company with so many extra fees and variables, it was a headache. Professional Moving and Storage was set up much better. They handled pretty much everything for the move. They kept us informed and they had a quality team in France that helped us move in. We were definitely very hesitant going into this move with how much international shipping costs. Also the fact that so many companies have very little experience with how to properly management an international shipment.. Long story short - these guys know what they're doing.

Recently I moved some stuff from Dallas to Austin and everything went well! I spoke with Professional Moving and Storage for the initial estimate and the price was good, and the binding estimate stayed as promised without any hidden fees or such. They packed all of my furniture with care and even handled my upright piano better than I expected, as it's pretty heavy. Overall delivery time was also on point, didn't take them extra time in between to reach my place! will use their services again if necessary.

They were awesome. I'm usually hesitant with moving companies as we've had some not so great experience in the past with other companies. Professional Moving and Storage were really great. They arrived early for our appointment, had 4 guys working and they got right to work upon arrival. These guys were the fastest and most careful company we have used. We had a lot of fragile items that we were paranoid about, such as plates, lamps, a fish statue made of old crystal, etc and they made sure everything got up perfectly. They assembled all of our furniture including our bed without even asking us and took time when we were indecisive on where to put things in our place.

Overall they were very professional, very quick and very polite. I would highly recommend Professional Moving and Storage when you're in the market for a moving company.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1200

The crew from Professional Moving and Storage were outstanding. They arrived on time (9:00 am) and were most efficient in clearing my apartment of all the furniture and cartons full of "stuff." The move to my new apartment was also efficiently on time. The team was courteous, moved at a quick pace and most of all, extremely careful with my possessions. There were no damages. I would recommend "Professional Moving and Storage" to anyone in need of first rate movers.

My experience with Professional Moving and Storage was perfect from start to finish. They were always communicative over email, answering my questions promptly and providing an accurate estimate of exactly when within the window we selected they would arrive (right on time!). We were stressed on our move day, but John and his team (including 3 guys) were absolutely fantastic. They managed to efficiently move our entire 3-bedroom unit from a 5th floor walk up to a 3rd floor walk up without a single complaint.

John was so friendly, cracking jokes with us and giving us time- and money-saving tips for our next move while he wrapped out furniture up. All of our furniture, frames/TVs, and smaller items got down and back up in great condition. In the end, the hourly price we were quoted (extremely reasonable) added up to exactly what we had expected - no hidden costs or anything else. We loved working with them and will definitely request him and his team for our next move. Highly recommend you go with Professional Moving and Storage for yours, too!!

A moving broker company who cons you into thinking they are a five star company who will move your belongings. Beware of any company who goes over shipping details over the phone
And require a large deposit. Booking with this company in advance requires you to sign a contract which you can cancel within 3 days to get your deposit back. You have no way of knowing until a few days before the move they are sending out some company that has questionable reviews from people that had their belongings stolen, broken, ransacked and police involvement to get their things back and also held for more money then agreed upon. FYI I hope I’ve saved at least one person from going through this grief.
