Professional Moving and Storage

This company is horrible! Stay away from unless you like throwing money away. They required an approximate $2200 deposit for a move from NJ to Alabama. Movers showed up nearly 2 days late and demanded more money for all sorts of things that were supposed to be included. We sent them away and did the move ourselves. Have reported them for fraudulent business practices to Am Express and in the process of doing same with NJ and Florida. Nice to have an attorney in the family to help with that!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2500

PLEASE do not use this company! I am only putting the one star because I have to to leave a review. I would put negative stars if I could. They are a complete scam. They will be your best friend until they get your down payment, then they disappear. After the initial call telling me the date range of my pickup, I received no further calls. I had to chase down my pickup day and time by a missed call (no message) on my cell. I was told they would be there the next morning. No show. (I had even called that morning to reconfirm!). Customer service (who was a rude offensive young man that basically told me to get over it) told me they had a call into the driver and would call back..never did! Finally got to head of customer service who assured me the second day they would be there by noon, no doubts. (She even told me she had put a check in the mail that day to refund $250 for the trouble I was going through. Of course that check never arrived) Second day same thing! No show until 6pm. Then the second scam began. Driver tried to get me to sign the manifest papers before he had even lifted a finger or looked at anything. Wanted to charge for moving blankets!?? Wanted to crate my furniture because he said it was fine furniture. This furniture was hand-me-downs worth nothing being moved to a vacation camp. Then he said the weight was over. He had not lifted a finger and had barely looked at anything and the weight was over? Even though all items were exactly as the original quote was written up. He tried everything to scam me for more money than our original quote! (I won't go into detail about how crude and unprofessional they were) The contract says to call Professional Moving and Storage if the driver tries to alter any prices, weight, etc and also not to sign anything until talking to them so I immediately started making calls. Guess what? NO ONE WOULD ANSWER. Even called the private cell of the customer service head that told me to call her personally and she would always pick up. NOTHING, Tried texting.. No answer. Now we are in a fight to get refunded our deposits. They say to email them for the request with the explanation, but of course they do not respond. They have shut down my quote page and it says to call customer service who of course does not answer. RUN from this company!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $3400

Recently I moved some stuff from Dallas to Austin and everything went well! I spoke with Professional Moving and Storage for the initial estimate and the price was good, and the binding estimate stayed as promised without any hidden fees or such. They packed all of my furniture with care and even handled my upright piano better than I expected, as it's pretty heavy. Overall delivery time was also on point, didn't take them extra time in between to reach my place! will use their services again if necessary.

They were awesome. I'm usually hesitant with moving companies as we've had some not so great experience in the past with other companies. Professional Moving and Storage were really great. They arrived early for our appointment, had 4 guys working and they got right to work upon arrival. These guys were the fastest and most careful company we have used. We had a lot of fragile items that we were paranoid about, such as plates, lamps, a fish statue made of old crystal, etc and they made sure everything got up perfectly. They assembled all of our furniture including our bed without even asking us and took time when we were indecisive on where to put things in our place.

Overall they were very professional, very quick and very polite. I would highly recommend Professional Moving and Storage when you're in the market for a moving company.

My experience with Professional Moving and Storage was perfect from start to finish. They were always communicative over email, answering my questions promptly and providing an accurate estimate of exactly when within the window we selected they would arrive (right on time!). We were stressed on our move day, but John and his team (including 3 guys) were absolutely fantastic. They managed to efficiently move our entire 3-bedroom unit from a 5th floor walk up to a 3rd floor walk up without a single complaint.

John was so friendly, cracking jokes with us and giving us time- and money-saving tips for our next move while he wrapped out furniture up. All of our furniture, frames/TVs, and smaller items got down and back up in great condition. In the end, the hourly price we were quoted (extremely reasonable) added up to exactly what we had expected - no hidden costs or anything else. We loved working with them and will definitely request him and his team for our next move. Highly recommend you go with Professional Moving and Storage for yours, too!!
