The person I talk to and made arrangements to move my mother from Chicago to New Jersey, His name is Arthur Delisser, Senior Moving Supervisor, Premier Chicago Movers..

I was told the move has a two-day window and that I would be contacted on Thursday, January 22, 2020. I receive no calls or emails after I had call and email them several times on that Thursday. He finally returns my emails on Friday 23,

Stating my move was scheduled for pick

Up tomorrow 2-4(meaning Saturday 24, 2020). After no show and no calls any many emails later by me,

I finally got an email stating the truck broke down and they were trying to get another. After that email, I received no further communication from them and my mother's move did not happen. I want my mother's money back of $365.00 that was paid to book the move because they broke the contract by not showing up and I had to search out other movers to move my mom things from Chicago to New Jersey before we flew out on that following Tuesday. To say the least, this was not a good week and the poor service that they offered is something to be desired. I will never recommend this business to anyone.

I hate even having to give this company one star.

This experience was HORRIBLE. I truly don't understand all the positive reviews. We always look at reviews before doing literally anything and we thought it was great that they were rated highly and pricing was not insane.

We discussed extensively prior to booking with them that we really needed our things to get to Boston from Chicago by 6/27/2020 since we are both physicians and starting new hospital jobs 7/1, and I only had a five day window from the end of one training program to the start of the next. They of course did not guarantee this but we were assured it was incredibly likely that this delivery date would be possible - we were super flexible with pickup as well.

The date of our pickup, fifteen minutes after the truck was supposed to arrive we receive a text message that someone called in sick and it needed to be rescheduled to the next day. A text is an unprofessional way to communicate with paying customers about this, and we were not able to get in touch via phone until several hours later.

Our things were picked up the following day, 6/19/2020. That went fine. It did cost more than the quote but that has nothing to do with our issues with the company.

On 6/20, we receive an email stating our things would arrive up to 21 days from the date we could accept a delivery, or 6/27 - this was NOT discussed with us and we were told that the usual approximately 10 day window was from the date of pickup. This was incredibly upsetting. Again, could not get ahold of someone to discuss this issue for a few days. Then we were assured our things would arrive no later than 7/1.

7/1 rolls around and we haven't heard a peep from the company. We call (multiple times) and finally get ahold of someone who says we would for sure receive our things by 7/3. We call again to check in and at this point are told "the guys want the holiday weekend off" so we "150% guarantee the truck will leave 7/6 and be there by 7/7, 7/8 latest." Now, don't get me wrong, I understand wanting a holiday weekend off after working hard, but that is so incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable.

7/7 rolls around and yet again, we haven't heard a peep from the company. We call (multiple times) and find out the truck hasn't even left Chicago yet, but will leave 7/8 and arrive 7/8. Then its 7/9, no news, call multiple times, can't leave voicemail, and get an email that the truck broke down the previous day and now it'll be here 7/10 or 7/11. Another unprofessional method of communication - not informing the customer until hours before we were supposed to receive our items when the incident occurred he day prior, and using email instead of a phone call, is ridiculous.

On 7/10 we get a call at noon that our things will arrive by 3pm. The company ensures you'll have 24 hours notice before your things arrive. Though obviously we were happy to finally have our belongings, we're both doctors and can't just leave work or work from home to wait for a delivery. Fortunately our colleagues were understanding and we were able to be at home, but then they didn't show up until almost 8pm. The guys were great, but they were subcontractors, which the company explicitly states that they do not use. We had an additional cost left to pay once we received our stuff and we were extremely uncomfortable giving any more money to this company, however we called the dispatcher about 20 times and he never answered (and now 2 months later - still never returned the call!) so we had to pay to get our things. Every single box was completely destroyed - not a single one was salvageable to reuse (this may be typical for cross country moves?).

We sent a detailed email to the company expressing everything above and requesting a partial refund - sent the email a month ago and they completely ignored it.

This company is misleading, has horrible customer service, impossible to get ahold of, and overall so egregiously unprofessional and disappointing. Please please please save yourself time, money, frustration, and stress and do not hire them.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4500

If you want half of your things to show up damaged/broken and the other half not showing up at all - use this company. They're great at it.

Writing this in hopes we can get some of our stuff back as some of them hold sentimental value (my sons first crib purchased by his grandmother). Please reach out if you're coming on here to write a bad review and have seen the following:

-Large Wooden baby crib

-Baby crib Mattress

-XL Box with baby swing, carrier, bouncer, tub, other misc baby items

-Box with joovy walker

-Ladder

-Stepstool

-Glider footrest

Secondly someones two queen mattresses and gray queen bed was in our shipment and it was not ours. So if you're looking for those items, they're likely somewhere in Arizona or were dumped.

September 2020 we used Premier Chicago Movers to move a family member cross country from Minnesota to Florida.

The three men (local I believe) who came to pickup the items were very nice and seemed to take good care packing the moving truck. (Sadly, the positivity ends there.)

Once the truck left our driveway, there were no updates for a week.

The day the family member was flying out, we called Premier Chicago Movers because we had not heard any updates. That afternoon, received a note stating the truck had left the warehouse, but no idea of when it left, or when we should expect the delivery at the new location. Movers were supposed to call 24 hours before delivery, which never happened either.

Movers called Saturday afternoon and said they could be there between 7:00 and 8:00 that night or possibly Sunday sometime.

We opted for Saturday night since we had already been waiting a few days with no furniture.

Movers showed up, and brought everything in, including three boxes that did not belong to us. We pointed out to the drivers that there was three boxes that were not ours and that we were missing our TV and two patio chairs. After movers were gone, once we started unpacking realized missing one other box with miscellaneous items such as a TV remote and a CD player also was not delivered. Some minor damage to some items in the move, but that can be expected.

(Not asking to be reimbursed for those minor items.) Called and emailed the moving company tried to give them a few days to see if they could locate the Lost items. Have now left numerous telephone messages and emails for which the company has not responded. At this point, almost a month later, we would like to be reimbursed for the lost items, if it includes an apology even better.

I hired Premier Chicago Movers to move my belongings from Ohio to Texas on 03/20/2020. They told us initially that our belongings will be delivered to our destination address within one week but they didn't deliver. So, we tried to reach them to query about the delivery date but initially, for few days they didn't answer the calls or replied to our emails later when they picked up a call that I called from an unknown number, they started shouting and cursing but we kept our patience as our belongings were still not delivered yet. On 04/08/2020, they delivered our stuff but we found damaged and missing boxes so again we queried them about compensation and we did settle for some amount through CSI (third-party claims company) but till the date after trying to reach them many times, they didn't pay that amount.

UPDATE, after six weeks the company has finally reached out and told us to jump through more hoops to possibly get reimbursed for the items they lost during my move. The email said I could file a claim with a third party company, one not accredited with the Better Business Bureau (probably owned by someone else in cahoots with this company) to decide if I would POSSIBLY get any money back even though they have documentation items were not delivered. If you are considering using this company to save a little money during a move, I suggest to find a more reputable moving company, even it it costs you more money. I DO NOT recommend Premier Chicago Movers.

Premier Chicago Movers arrived at our destination with no personnel other than the driver to offload the entire delivery truck, and the expectation that the client would assist with unloading. When we informed them that this would not be the case, as we had paid for a “full professional service move,” they proceeded to locate and provide an individual hired from Craigslist to complete the unloading process. The driver of the truck additionally demanded that we pay the hired Craigslist worker with cash, which we refused to do as we had already paid for moving services. During the unloading process, the movers damaged multiple household goods, and we further observed them trying to inconspicuously “hide” the items they had broken from us. This process took an exorbitant amount of time, due to only having two individuals to move an entire household, and we eventually dismissed them prior to them finishing the job, as the situation became increasingly tense with their lack of professionalism and overall questionable conduct. Not only did we spend a significant amount of time completing services that we had paid for, but the entire experience was unpleasant and unprofessional and in no way represents acceptable business practices or an acceptable level of customer care. We are still in the process of negotiating with the company’s claims department regarding our damaged items; for reference, our move was completed in July 2020.

I have sent numerous emails and left many voicemails, all for not, shai has ghosted me for 6 months now.
