Long-distance move from Kingsland, GA to Perrysburg, OH

Unable to secure a driver.

Sitting in an empty house with a pregnant wife and two little kids waiting for the company to find a driver to deliver my items to my new location. Well past the the delivery date provided by the company. They keep saying sorry but have provided no real results.

(Cost of the move below is not accurate. Don’t know the cost because it is a government move)

Long-distance move from Ohio to Texas

Lots of damage with poor customer service and no replacement value.

Charter transportation was hired by the military for a move from Beavercreek, Ohio to Schertz, Tx. From the beginning of the process things were of issue and of note. Move date was set and then no packers showed up to prepare the house. A call was made and packers were sent the next day for packing the home. The packers were a locally contracted company and very courteous. The lead packer seemed to have a control of the situation and a no touch driver was hired for the move. We had in excess of 20k lbs of items to move. Including high end fishing equipment, furniture, and standard household items. The truck took the items for delivery to Texas with a very short few day storage hold over for transit to our home. Upon arrival and unpacking many things had been damaged. When items are placed in storage they utilize shipping crates and make things fit. This seems to have included unwrapping items, losing parts, damaging boxes etc to get them to fit in the allotted space. At the unpack date I had a large amount of damaged high end fishing equipment. Rods in excess of 500$, reels, etc were crushed cracked and shattered wrapped in a blanket and a now open shipping tube which I have extensive pictures of. Boxed furniture like futons and tv stands arrived missing pieces and are unable to be reassembled. Our couch arrived with cushions unwrapped within dirty shipping cartons, the main frame broken in many places etc. This was not a well done job. Military moves are supposed to offer unpacking. Instead this group released part of their party and then proceeded to slam and dump boxes on counters and refuse to properly reassemble items that have been done on every prior move. After all was done an insurance claim was filed. They sent adjusters/people to take pics and have since refused to offer fair replacement value on items. Unprofessional and poor contact has made the situation worse. I have been forced to take this to the MCO to even try to get response.
