Took 3 weeks for things to arrive when promised 3 days. Very unhelpful dispatchper. Very unorganized organization with lots of hidden charges. Do not believe better business bureau rating of A-. They are are D- organization--enough said. Also, my moving reviews please make note of fake reviews of supposed 5 star clients.
The client was picked up on 06/28/17. Our Order For Service clearly states that the belongings can arrive up to 21 business days from the pick up, and we are meeting that deadline on schedule.
The quote was for 500 cubic feet and when we arrived they had an additional 100 cubic feet, so we gave them an efficiency discount on the extra 100 cubic feet as a courtesy. They were very kind people from the start and we were in complete contact with them throughout the whole move. So their claim to be fully refunded for their move will not be accepted as we are clearly within our required 21 business day window of delivery.
We were pleased with the job done by Pick Up Movers. The crews worked extremely hard and diligently in both the loading and the unloading process. They were very professional and took interest in our household goods, which all arrived in good shape. Our only complaint was that the scheduling could have been better handled. It would help them to do a better job of setting expectations in terms of timing. But the bottom line is our move got handled well and we were very pleased we used Pick Up Movers.
This company was great, I am very pleased with their work, I moved from FL to NY, I had a lot of glass items, and they did a great job wrapping them. The price was what they quoted me, thank you Shoha my statue made it safe :) - I must say I was impressed with the way I kept getting messages with updates. Thank you Pick Up Movers, I will definitely spread the word about how great you guys are.
I recently moved from FL to TN, it was a last minute move for my business, and this company helped me out so much, am not one to write reviews but I have to admit they made my life easier, Thank you Frank for your honesty. And thank you to the movers who took care of all my things. I got delivery 7 days after they picked me up like promised, and price only went up because I decided to pack some pictures, truly amazed to see there are still honest people in this world.
A Completely Horrific Experience With Added Racism.
I originally hired Pick Up Movers LLC off of the thumbtack app for my move from North Carolina to Florida. I was put in contact with Pierre regarding my move, he gave me the estimate, and told me that my expected delivery could be anywhere between 3-7 days on average, even telling me it could be delivered within two days. Since this was the case, I decided to move forward with the process. Not at any time was I informed verbally of their 21-day delivery window. I even asked Pierre what date I should put down to move into my new apartment so I can line up my delivery with my arrival. We thought the 26th would be the best date to put since that was within the 3-7 day window. My pick up window was between June 22nd and June 24th. The movers came on the 24th and pick up went fine, and Mariel and his colleague were great. Pierre told me to ask the movers whether they were going up the coast to collect others belongings or down the coast to Florida so I get a clearer idea of when my belongings would arrive, again within the 3-7 day window that I was verbally told about. I asked the foreman which direction the truck was going in, and he told me that it is heading for Florida, where another team will be moving me in. I paid half, signed forms (some of which were not filled out, but I was just told to sign), and my furniture was on its way…or so I assumed.
My move in date was June 26th, and I arrived on that date in preparation for my belongings to arrive within the week, or early next week. On June 28th, I reached out to Pierre to see about the location of my belongings. I was told that he would check. It got later in the day and I decided to ask if there were any updates, as to which I got a response that the dispatchers update after 6pm and he will let me know when he gets an update. 3 days pass and still no response on where my belongings are. On July 2nd, I reached out to see where my belongings were once again, getting very concerned since I have literally no updates to where my things are, and it was on day 8 of my verbally told delivery window. I was especially worried since I was told the next stop was Florida, and that there weren’t any other stops. I was told once again that he would check and keep me updated. This would have concerned anyone at this point since there has been no direct answer as to the location of my belongings. I told him the immediacy of needing my furniture since I was having family visit within the following days. I was then told that now the window changed from 3-10 business days. Not at any point verbally was I told that only business days were recognized; I mean they did pick my belongings up on a Sunday, so why would I think that they were going by business days?
At this point I have made multiple calls to the office, and left 3 voicemails over the course of this whole waiting process, to not have anybody pick up the phone let alone return my voicemails. At this point they have had possession of my belongings for 10 days. I slept on an air mattress for TEN days. And I had absolutely no idea what state my belongings are even in. Obviously my family is very concerned as well, and not only did they not get responses to their voicemails, but my father and mother were also hung up on by employees. This was a serious problem at this point.
Since I had no way of reaching anybody, I physically had to go down to the office headquarters to get information. Of course at this point my family and I are extremely frustrated with the lack of customer service and transparency as to where my belongings are. Of course I am not happy at this point as to how business is being conducted, and hanging up on my parents and not returning phone calls is the last straw. I demanded to know where my furniture is, explain what I was told about the delivery date, and when my stuff is going to be delivered. They gave me the run around about where my belongings were, and flaunted the contract in my face stating that the window is up to 21 days not including weekends or holidays, and did not care about what I was verbally told regarding the delivery date initially. Turns out my belongings were in some storage unit in Georgia and it got there on the 24th and had been sitting there for a week and the company was trying to be slick and refrain from telling me this. I was then told that my stuff would be delivered by Friday or at the latest, Monday (which did not happen). They knew the whole time and didn’t care to be transparent. Any person in this situation would be angry.
I guess they were threatened by me or didn’t care for what I had to say because they decided to call the police on me while I was waiting for the contract and everything I signed to be printed. I didn’t think this was racially motivated at all at first, I just thought that they didn’t know how to handle customers, but that quickly changed. Since multiple people that I have talked to about the situation wouldn’t give me a name of this man, I will have to describe him. He has olive skin tone, hair cut very short, no beard, around 5’10”, and gritty bottom teeth. He called 911 saying that I was yelling and screaming in the office. Not once did I physically do anything or legitimately scream. While in the actual situation I was a frustrated and concerned customer dealing with the shady business that a company was trying to pull on me, but I guess all they see was my color.
The man told me that he was “sick of this s**t” and kept telling me to get out of the office even though I was waiting on the woman in the office to print out all documents pertaining to my order. I didn’t want to step outside not only because of the heat, but also because I wanted to make sure that there were no attempts at altering the documents I originally signed. The man kept telling me to stand outside in the 95 degree weather while she was printing my documents. I am very sensitive to heat so I could have very well fainted waiting outside in the heat for my documents. It wasn’t like I was standing in their office for no reason, I was simply waiting for my documents.
As the woman is printing out my documents, the man gets up from his seat, is less than an arms length away from me and slams open the door and starts yelling at me to get out. He was yelling at me in another language and the only word he was saying in English was BLACK with such disgust in his face and tone. This man legitimately looked like he was going to hit me, so I called the police as well since it was now a safety issue. I even told him he looked like he was going to hit me. I legitimately cried in the car because not only was I thought a man was going to physically hurt me, but that I was racially discriminated against, citing my BLACKNESS.
My stuff did not come that following Friday or Monday, but instead on Friday the 13TH. Delivery went smoothly, despite the delivery man’s terrible body odor that stayed in my apartment long after he left. We gave the company an opportunity to make this absolutely terrible situation filled with bad communication and RACISM right by knocking the price down a bit. They automatically said no, and so we paid the full amount despite all of the hurdles and hardships that my family and I were put through by this company’s bad business techniques. It was really clear that all they care about is the money and they don’t care about customer service or experience. And African Americans, take your money elsewhere, because there is an openly racist man working in the office. Please do not use this service, unless you like being taken advantage of and treated poorly.
Personally I've never used any other services in the past. When I needed the most to move, I contacted one of my friends who had experience and she recommended Pick Up Movers as one of the best, loyal and honest company in the market. Without any hesitation, I contacted and made an appointment with them. My first impression they were professional on the phone and they gave me very reasonable prices. Right next day they showed up in my house and took care of all the things in a professional way. What impresses me so much is that they packed everything so perfectly, so I didn't have to worry about my expensive belongings.I know there a lot of competitors in the market and I hope they do well, but for me Pick Up Movers is the best for many reasons. First, they do what they say(what is promised) . Secondly, the integrity and loyalty of the guys cannot be described how good they are. I definitely recommend them to everyone because you don't know until you try their service. Thank you guys for making my life easier and moving should be easy without any stress! A++.
Hired pick up movers to move my two bed room apartment in Miami, and I was extremely impressed. The team lead called me 30 - 45 minutes before they arrived, and they were very careful to walk through everything with me I was appreciative of the fact that they took the time to ask exactly what I wanted to moved and did everything extremely efficiently - even though it was so hot in the afternoon . They were extremely courteous and professional.Very well-spend money on a moving company.Could not have asked for better service.
What a great moving experience. There was a little confusion about the move but Al quickly resolved things and walked through the apartment to confirm where things were moving. Al, Oleg , and Dima all did a quick and professional job while making sure everything was protected from the rain. Although the two gentlemen from the second truck weren’t needed for this move they helped get things moved completing the move quickly. Thanks for a job well done. I will definitely used your company again.
From my inquiry to setting up my order I received quality service. Also the set-up of walking me thru each step of my move went so smooth. On time service, very pleasant and informative drivers, 100% right on!! I will definitely re-hire these guys in the future!
5 star all the way. Your people are the nicest people to do business with and my son also agreed with me. Thank you for a pleasant experience. I am a very satisfied customer and I will definitely use them again!
