      Still waiting for my delivery

      I got bamboozled, when I first made contact with Pegasus Vanlines, everything went well, the customer service was great, and I was told everything that I wanted to hear. I was told it was going to take two weeks to get my items delivered, no problem, I was told I only had to pay the deposit on booking, and then the balance in delivery, great. The movers that came to pick up my items were great, they were friendly, respectful, they handled my items with care, they labelled everything and packed everything neatly in their truck, that was the end of the great service. The very next morning I received an email with their invoice attached, I thought that they were just letting me know how much my move was going to cost now that they had weighed my items, mind you the invoice was for $970 more than my original quote, I didn't have the means to weigh my items myself, so I had to go off of what they said, no problem.       Worth Every Penny

      Professional Team

      These movers recently relocated my wife and me from Kingston, ON to Montreal, QC. The team was fast, friendly, professional, and incredibly hardworking.       Local Move

      First I hired another moving company that was running super late and didn’t care to call me, I messaged Pegasus and Nick answered, he was able to assist my last minute booking to help me move on a Thursday evening. The team of 2 showed up on time and worked well as a team, which made the move so much more pleasant. Very professional and hard working! Will never use another mover in Toronto.

      Great Service from Start to Finish

      The final price was a bit higher than I expected, but I understand it was due to the heavy items involved. Even so, my experience with this company was entirely positive. Every employee I interacted with was polite, responsible, and focused on doing the job right. All of my belongings were carefully wrapped, loaded, and unloaded without a single issue. There were no delays or slowdowns throughout the entire move. Overall, I’m very pleased with their service and would definitely recommend them.

      No Complaints!

      This was truly an amazing experience! We moved locally in London from a 3-bedroom house to another 3-bedroom house. From start to finish, the entire process was stress-free with no hidden costs. The team showed up on time, the paperwork was simple, and they were both professional and friendly.       Very Unprofessional

      Booking Pegasus and arrival of truck was great. Waiting for our furniture was where it started. They initially told us 7-10 days. It was 28 days. When the truck arrived he asked me to show him our apartment. After seeing he talks to partner in language I didn’t understand and then he says “Because of the long hallway and elevator we have to charge another $250.”I said you’re two and a half weeks late and you want me to pay more plus we have a cashiers check in the remainder of what we owe. He said “sorry ma’am”. He then said “ How do u want to pay”. They wouldn’t unload till I paid an extra $250. After all was unloaded I noticed that they had ruined a desk. So I said to him what about the desk. All he said was “sorry ma’am. Unbelievable. Just a few days into them picking up our furniture we kept getting called to pay the remainder of our balance even thou the initial salesman said $200 down and remainder on arrival of your furniture. We called Pegasus numerous times to have a manager call us back so we could discuss the late truck. No one ever returned our call. If your wanting to book a truck oh they will call you immediately!

      Highly unreliable

      My experience was extremely poor. Despite their initial active outreach and eagerness to sell their service, once they received the deposit, their communication ceased. They only responded two weeks later when I requested a refund of my $200 deposit, which they were reluctant to return. Regrettably, I was unaware of these negative reviews before submitting the deposit.

      Van still has not arrive 3 weeks later

      We started this journey with a guy named Nicklis. He contacted us after we inquired about having our late fathers things shipped from Ontario to Saskatchewan. He gave us a price that was compatible with most of the other moving companies we reached out to butNicklis was friendly and promised they would load the things on the Thursday, January 4th, 2024 and leave for Saskatchewan, January 5th 2024. Our things would arrive the following Friday, January 12th, 2024.

      Friday comes and NO moving van arrives ,NO phone call they where NOT coming, NO email they weren't coming.

      I emailed Nicklis but he DOES NOT return my several emails. So, I email the Accountant and she emails me back saying " sorry they didn't have a container available to ship our things".

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Guys, honestly, stay away from Pegasus at any cost, they are bad as they get, they really are crooks. Even if they were the last moving company on the planet you would be better off moving your stuff yourself.

- They didn't deliver on time:we had to call them 4 different times just to make sure they were doing their job, which they were not. They told us that somebody had to take an appointment with the border patrol before delivering to the States.. but that's on them to do this.

- They were holding hostage all our stuff, and use this to have us pay more money.

- They lost our Queen size mattress, and according to their calculation the credit was.. -242$!

- They left 3/4 of all our stuff in the lobby... in New York City! Didn't finish the job, the driver and his helper just left without telling us, and when tried to call them they block our #. And once I contacted the sales rep he told me "what do you want me to do it's past 9".

I really wonder how they can get any 5 stars reviews, this company is just all bad from top to bottom.

Stress-free move

Moving can be difficult, but the folks at Pegasus made it a lot less stressful! Nick was wonderful to work with from the initial walk-through for the estimate to answering all my questions leading up to the big day! The moving team, both loading and unloading, were great.. on-time, courteous and respectful of our home and our belongings. They worked quickly but carefully and the whole move went smoothly thanks to the professionalism and kindness of everyone involved!

Fast and efficient!

We had a great moving experience with Pegasus. We scheduled the service the week we needed it, they were the most cost effective, and they showed up with three men who took great care of our belongings. Excellent service

Movers were on time, introduced themselves, assessed the entire house for items and best exit points. Once they had a plan they executed it and all went very smoothly! Same on the unload at the new house. They were very professional and extremely careful with doorways, walls, flooring, etc. I will use them again if needed and would strongly recommend Pegasus to anyone needing to move.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

Never use this company. It started out great. Great customer service, support. Then moving day came and I got 5 calls. I let it slip when I shouldn’t have. My stuff was 13 days late, they took the cheque from my wife and dumped everything outside our residence. They over charged weighed me at 3700lbs but my stuff only weighed 1600lbs. They said they do a pro rate after 2000lbs but charged full price.

Quick and efficient

I have previously had negative experiences with moving companies in general, but I loved the Pegasus! They arrived on time, were incredibly kind, and were efficient with their time. I was impressed by their skill and care for our things and home. We have a 3rd floor walk up and were moving to a condo with a super tight stairwell but they found a way to make it work. Highly recommend!

Amazing crew, amazing service!

We scheduled this with less than a week's notice and we had a 3-person crew show up at the exact time of our appointment. They worked tirelessly to wrap, load, unload and place all our furniture. We had one little mishap but it was not a big deal and the crew were completely apologetic about it. We were pretty impressed with the professionalism, hard work and courtesy of the moving team. We will definitely use them again on our next move.

Very professional!

Friendly front office staff and the estimator that came out was very professional. Our house move was going to be long and complicated but he put my mind at ease. The real stars here are the movers though. Some of the most careful, efficient and friendly people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They came a few minutes early than scheduled to do a walk around to make a plan of action. Everything was wrapped and packaged very carefully. When moving you expect some small issues here and there, but there actually were no problems at all, everything went smoothly. We couldn't be happier with our move and have been recommending these guys to friends and family ever since.

NB to ON Move

I want to start by saying I have moved over 15 times in the last 20 years and this move was by far the absolute worst for service, customer service, and damaged items.

I had a move scheduled for Sat Oct 28. The moving truck did not show up until 15:00 on Sun Oct 29. The moving company did not care, nor did the apologize for the delay.

Two men showed up with the truck despite me indicating that I had a piano which needed to be moved. They said it requires 3 guys to move a piano so I gladly helped them, no issue.

My items were stored for 14 days before I had access to my new spot in Ontario. The delivery of items was on the correct date and on time. The movers only put certain things in the correct rooms and piled the majority of items in the first/front room and in the garage. They unloaded as fast as they could and then left.

Our TV stand was damaged, all 4 legs were broken off. It appears absolutely ZERO care was taken while handling our stuff.

As we began to unpack we realized a number of items were missing. We compiled a list and provided that to Pegasus (a mattress, part of a bed, so we had to sleep the floor without a mattress or bed, our patio furniture, and a book shelf). They indicated they would search the warehouse and deliver the items once found.

A few days later they delivered the mattress, partially covered with a plastic bag, fairly dirty, with a dirty boot mark on the section not covered.

They also delivered the book shelf, covered in a black plastic bag (no other items were in black bags, everything was clear). They dropped it and left, once we unwrapped it, you could see it was smashed up quite badly.

I contacted the company and told them the issues, they asked if I would like to start a claim and provided me with a form. I completed the form and submitted it on 20 Nov 2023, the value of the 3 items was $2400.

On 13 Dec I got a reply stating my items weight * 0.60 = 157.80 - the deductible was a negative # and I was not eligible for a payout. This company can and will destroy your items with zero regard or consequence.

We used Pegasus van lines to move us last week and were very pleased with the service. The crew was extremely professional, hard working and courteous. We were impressed with how they prepared furniture and non box items prior to loading in the truck. Overall everything came through pretty unscathed and in good shape. Long distance moving

Did a long-distance moving and Pegasus was amazing! They came and packed all of my furniture and boxes in less than two hours and they were super gentle and wrapped everything so it wouldn't get damaged during transit. During delivery, they were also super quick and unloaded in less than an hour. They set up all my furniture for me so everything was ready for me when they left. Definitely using Pegasus for all my future moves!

Avoid this company

I received a quote from Nick on March 21 2024 for my belongings to be picked up in Calgary Alberta on April 17 2024 and was promised that they would be delivered in Souris Manitoba on April 19. On April 19 I only received an invoice and then a phonecall for payment. I advised the lady on the phone that I would pay the minute my belongings were at my doorstep.

I also asked her when the delivery would be and was told that it would be the beginning of the next week. This was the start of a 6 week ordeal where I lived like a squatter in my new apartment because I had nothing but some clothes, 1 fork, 1 spoon and a knife and an airbed. I had to purchase items that I needed just to be able to live somewhat normal.

Then I was promised that the delivery would be May 17. The morning of May 16 I called Pegasus and was told that yes absolutely the delivery would be the next day. When I called them back later that day because I had not yet heard from the driver I was told that there was no more room on the truck when it came time to load my belongings.

I then asked them if I could pick it up myself. This would mean a flight to Edmonton where my stuff was being stored (I never agreed to have my belongings stored at any time) then renting a uhaul and inconveniencing friends to help me. Pegasus told me that I could definitely do that but would still have to pay them as well (seriously) So that was not an option.

They told me my belongings would be delivered May 30 or 31. I demanded to have that in writing with a signed name. All I received was an email with the delivery date and no names.

I opened a complaint with the BBB because I felt I had to do something. I received a standard apology with “unforeseen circumstances” and a lot of other standard comments. But once again they stated the end of May. (I rejected that and asked for compensation)

On May 30 I called and asked them what time on May 31 the delivery would be. They said that my belongings were in Regina SK (3 hours away) but that delivery wouldn’t be until Saturday. I asked the lady if she was aware of the days in the month and that Saturday was June 1. Once again they lied.

When the moving truck finally showed up at my home the driver and his partner were wonderful. But they did tell me how this happens all the time. This company books and books and books but doesn’t have the resources to fulfill their orders.

Do not use this company. They are not to be trusted. Make sure you have a fully written contract with dates and signatures.

Disappointed

Honestly im very disappointed, i was told to pay a deposit of 200$ and then the rest of the payment to be made once i receive my items, then 2 days after pickup, they told me i need to pay the balance in full before the truck lifts off from their warehouse… i had no choice but to pay the full balance without confirming if my items are stolen, lost or damaged. Another thing i am very disappointed about is, i was told it would take minimum 5 days to maximum 7 days, but it took 10 days for me to receive my items!!! And then on the day of delivery they called to tell me that they would arrive between 8-10 am and they came at 11:30 am … its just sad and a shame with years of doing this job u would expect people to know more accurately about dating and timing and still this company is unprofessional and not accurate at all. They also told me from the start before i hired them and signed the contract that the truck would be a 26ft truck but when they arrived it was a 20ft truck and my furnitures hardly fit. The driver on the day of the delivery told me they had to unload and load my stuff 3 times to 3 different trucks, no wonder my items are damaged and lost.

Disappointing Experience with Pegasus Van Lines

I recently hired Pegasus vanLines for an out-of- Province move, and I regret my decision. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to several issues.

1. Damaged Furniture: upon arrival I discovered that several pieces of my furniture were broken , chipped., totally wreak

2. Lost Items: In addition to the damage, also noticed that some of my belongings were missing.

3. Lack of Accountability: I attempted to resolve these issues and i filed claims with the company but i received no satisfactory.

Overall, my experience with Pegasus Van Lines was Frustrating and disappointing. I would advise others to consider alternative moving companies to avoid similar issues.
