Movers showed up an hour and a half before scheduled time. The move itself was very slow despite the hiring of 3 men at $150/hour plus $100 truck fee. Some boxes were moved upside down with fragile items in them, my daughter’s bed was ruined because they couldn’t figure out how to disassemble it or move it, I was charged $50 each for wardrobe boxes that they filled with garbage bags clearly labelled as trash. I was told they would take approximately 6 hours for the entire move: from 9am to 3pm and it would cost $1130. They did not finish packing my old place until 1:30 pm (my partner had to show them how to disassemble and move out my queen bed) and it took over an hour for them to travel from point A to B, which my partner and I were able to complete in less than half an hour. They did not move items to the trash like they said they would, either. I was charged for their lunch which they did not inform me they were taking, and they said I would not be charged for. My partner had to help them unpack their truck, and they did not finish the job until after 5pm. The move cost me a total of $1495. Do not recommend, you’re better off going with a company that will take care of your items and do their job without assistance from others.

EDIT: they also destroyed the flowers I had kept from the recent funeral of my mom. I’d take away the final star for this alone if I could.

Our scheduled delivery date was Dec 23rd. We waited the whole day, then the day after, nothing. I called several times, no one answered. I felt so lost, I moved to a new place with two babies, we have no clothes, no bed, no cookwares. On Dec 26th I was finally able to talk to someone and they told me I won’t get my belongings until January!! I was crying like a baby. Nick assured me that it would take one week to move from Wetaskiwin to Montreal, I trusted him. Even when the pick up date was delayed, the driver assured me I would get everything on time. I trusted them. If they told me that it could be delayed, I would still choose them, they didn’t need to make fake promises. I’m feeling completely lost and hopeless with my two daughters, I don’t have any family or friends here.

I recently had this company move me from ontario to moncton nb

they were delayed in arriving, My things were broken and missing.

my two rooms were quoted close to 5000 lbs i had no fridge stove and only bed which they broke rocking chair missing cushion

,kitchen table, with four chairs

and small boxes with two chest which one was broken and the other marked up. I called and e-mail the company for my lost items which has my dead husband things and family belongings that i can't replace.I had a signed copy from the driver that stated my bed was

broken on delivery which they took apart and packed up but was

told it was my fault. I have had a horrible response from them they have looked for my boxes but they lost them so i'm out of my family belongings and memories saved for me to pass to my children. They take no responsibly and plan to do nothing for me. I recommend anyone to avoid this company the only thing they showed any interest in was getting paid up front not the customer and not my belongings.

The pros:

The movers themselves were prompt courteous, and careful with out things.

The cons:

Completely unethical and rude service. In our initial consultation, we were told over the phone and in writing that our furniture wrapping would be included. We were never given a separate price list, or instructions on what kind of wrapping was not included.

When the movers arrived, they instructed us we would be charged an extra 300$ in additional wrapping. They told us to call the manager, Nick, to discuss this. Nick didn't reply and we had no choice but to continue to move.

We had a chat with a lady in accounting about the issue, who also told us that we would need to speak to Nick. We called again, and again no answer.

Lastly, on the day we were supposed to have our things delivered, we tried to call Pegasus again in order to sort out the misunderstanding. We were told we would have had to speak to accounting (who told us to speak to Nick) and that Nick was on holiday and wouldn't be back until after our move was completed. When I tried to argue our consumer rights and requested someone else to speak to, I was hung up on.

Luckily, our conversations have all been recorded and are being forwarded to better business bureau and pegusus' associated marketing partners.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the service provided by Pegasus Vanlines, particularly with Nick Galanis. Our recent experience has left us feeling utterly let down and disheartened.

We initially received a quote from Nick Galanis on December 28th for a move from Orleans, Ontario to Quebec City scheduled for February 1st and 2nd, 2024. The agreement was clear - the movers would pack all belongings on February 1st and deliver them promptly to Quebec on February 2nd, as confirmed in writing. (email attached)

However, what followed was a month of unfulfilled promises and a shocking lack of communication. Despite numerous emails attempting to confirm details with Nick, it was only after persistent efforts and a phone call to his contact number that we discovered a significant deviation from the agreed-upon plan. Our move was suddenly pushed to February 3rd, and to add insult to injury, the contents would not be delivered for an entire week. This critical change was only brought to our attention when we took the initiative to contact your office.

The implications of this last-minute shift are profound. We are in the process of relocating an 80-year-old lady to a retirement home in another province, and our expectation was for a seamless transition. Instead of honoring the commitment made in numerous emails for a move on the 2nd, the packing date was postponed by a day, and the delivery date was arbitrarily delayed by a week.

What is perhaps even more disheartening is the utter lack of concern demonstrated by the person organizing the move. Rather than addressing our legitimate concerns and working towards a solution, they exhibited a shocking indifference to the impact this change had on our plans. As customers facing an unexpected and avoidable predicament, we were left scrambling to find an alternative moving company to salvage what was supposed to be a smooth transition for our elderly family member.

The level of customer service provided by Pegasus Vanlines in this instance is nothing short of appalling. The complete disregard for communication, the lack of empathy, and the failure to honor commitments are simply unacceptable. It is disappointing to see a company treat its customers with such disdain.

We urge Pegasus Vanlines to reflect on this experience and take immediate steps to rectify these issues. As customers who trusted your company with a significant and time-sensitive move, we are left deeply dissatisfied and questioning the integrity of your services. It is our hope that no other customer has to endure the same level of disappointment and frustration that we have experienced.

In conclusion, Pegasus Vanlines should be genuinely ashamed of the way it has handled this situation and the impact it has had on its customers. The treatment we received is far from the standard of care and respect that one would expect from a reputable moving company.

If I could give Pegasus Van Lines zero stars, I would. My recent experience with them was an absolute nightmare. The pick-up workers were not only rude but also seemed to have their own secret language, making me feel like an outsider in my own home. Their communication skills were abysmal, and it was like dealing with a brick wall.

To make matters worse, they refused to disassemble any furniture, claiming it wasn't their job. Isn't that the whole point of hiring a moving company? The lack of professionalism was astounding.

But the icing on the cake was the late drop-off. It became apparent that they purposely delayed deliveries until they secured a pick-up deal in the city I was moving to. This is not just poor service; it's deceptive and untrustworthy.

Please don't believe the positive reviews – my experience with [Company Name] was a disaster from start to finish. Save yourself the stress and headaches and find a moving company that actually values their customers.

Firstly, the team involved with scheduling my move was incredibly responsive and helpful. The movers themselves showed up a few minutes early and immediately got to work. They were both very respectful and mindful when moving the bigger items. Not only did they work quickly, but they followed directions as well. I was working while they were unloading the truck so I appreciated that they were quiet as well and did not bang things around. They actually finished up earlier than anticipated and checked if I needed help with anything additional before they left. They made the whole process so easy and stress-free.

We started this journey with a guy named Nicklis. He contacted us after we inquired about having our late fathers things shipped from Ontario to Saskatchewan. He gave us a price that was compatible with most of the other moving companies we reached out to butNicklis was friendly and promised they would load the things on the Thursday, January 4th, 2024 and leave for Saskatchewan, January 5th 2024. Our things would arrive the following Friday, January 12th, 2024.

Friday comes and NO moving van arrives ,NO phone call they where NOT coming, NO email they weren't coming.

I emailed Nicklis but he DOES NOT return my several emails. So, I email the Accountant and she emails me back saying " sorry they didn't have a container available to ship our things".

A COMPANY THIS BIG DOES NOT KNOW WHEN THEY HAVE A CONTAINER AVAILABLE??

IT TAKES 3 DAYS FROM ONTARIO TO SASKATCHEWAN, WE HAVE MADE THE TRIP SEVERAL TIMES.

When I asked when they would arrive, she said this Friday, January 19th,2024 but NOPE nothing was delivered, Never heard anything from anyone they weren't coming.

I emailed again and she said they have left and they will be there Monday January 22nd, 2024. BUT she said they will call the day before to confirm delivery time.

Well, here is Monday and we have not heard from the shipping company.

Mean time my husband took the first Friday off work ( losing money) and two of our kids stayed home from school.

We have 6 kids that for 2 weeks have been eating everywhere because we sold our kitchen table because they told us they WOULD delivering our things two weeks ago.

They seem great at first but ,customer service is terrible, not KNOWING when your things are coming it a terrible, stressful feeling.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT KEEP THERE PROMISE AND IGNORE YOUR EMAILS.

WE ARE NOT AT THE POINT TO TAKE IT TO A LAWYER TO GET OUR THINGS.
