I have moved a lot in 65 years, both in the Air Force and out. This is quantifiably the best move I have had. The company gave an estimate which was very close to the actual cost, but more importantly, the crew they sent was careful, courteous and professional. They were also industrious and worked well both individually and as a team. They removed a lot of the worry one has with any move. I highly recommend Northern Moving Systems! 5 Stars? Absolutely!

I would definitely call Northern Moving Systems again!

The teams that helped us with our local move were fantastic. The packing team on day 1 worked so quickly, but so carefully. Our move team on day 2 was just as hardworking and careful. Even when met with some unforeseen difficulties at our new place, they just rolled with it and made it work. Not in a hurry to move soon, but I would definitely call Northern Moving Systems again!

I would whole heartedly recommend Northern Moving Systems.

Northern Moving Systems was extremely professional and helpful with my emergency move. The office employees were very responsive to calls and questions and were very communicative when getting my moves scheduled even in a last minute emergency situation. The movers were quick and efficient in packing and moving my things and took great care to making sure my items made it in and out of storage without damage. I would whole heartedly recommend Northern Moving Systems.

I felt very comfortable with Northern Moving Systems!!!

I felt very comfortable with Northern Moving Systems as I could leave the professionals alone in my home to pack all belongings while I went to work for the day. I was very skeptical whether they’d accept a booking for move at such short notice. Next day the representative came, inspected our room and started the process thereafter. At the end of the move, they didn’t bargain over the price. They took what they actually quoted early. I’m sure these guys know what a great job they are doing.

Best Service...

I've used them a couple of times and would again. The first move was straightforward--from one area of the city to the other. The second time I used them was complicated, and they aced it: moving several boxes and furniture from point A, dropping off furniture and picking up furniture at point B, dropping off several boxes at point C, dropping off furniture at point D. It took over 4 hours and the bill wasn't cheap, but they did everything with no problem. I'm wondering if it was the most complex move they've done in a single day because there were many items involved with movement in a suburb and a few neighborhoods in disparate parts of the city, but it worked out.

Highly recommend!

I can’t give this company enough praise for the wonderful job they did. The movers were professional, quick, and safe while moving my things during a pandemic. They were able to get my pull-out sofa up three flights of steps with no problem, managed to move about 22 boxes and totes from my one-bedroom apartment with no damage to those or the furniture, and reassembled my bed all within a 2.5 hour time frame. I definitely tipped them 20% for their hard work. Highly recommend!

I moved with Northern Moving Systems twice.

I moved with Northern Moving Systems twice. I moved out of my old house, they stored my furniture for over 2 years, and then they moved me back in. My moving day into the new place was hectic because I moved from 4 different sources essentially including their storage, while also taking deliveries. Northern Moving Systems completed it all perfectly in one day, they stored everything perfectly for 2.5 years, no damage to anything. Towards the end of moving day they called more guys in so that they could complete the job before end of day. They worked very hard and their price was very fair for both storage and hourly rates compared to all movers in the area. Nothing bad to say, I'd recommend again.

The guys showed up about half an hour early which was great! We were able to get the move started right away. They packed everything up with care, made the drive to our new place through snowy, nasty weather conditions, and got us all unpacked and set all in just 2 hours! We were amazed and so grateful! And we will definitely be coming back to Northern Moving Systems and Storage the next time we need to move. Thank you!!!!

Not legit. Scam, look elsewhere

This is a scam. They aren’t movers, they are brokers. I was quoted $3500. They confirmed the amount of things I had multiple times, and when the movers showed up, it costed double. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I am confident the positive reviews are bought/set up. Just please look elsewhere.

We are a carrier, who has agent authority. We are no different than moving companies such as Allied, Mayflower, or United. They are carriers, with agent authority. You may check with the F.M.C.S.A. which is a branch of the Department of Transportation, if you wish to see licensing proof that we are, indeed, a carrier. Mr. Perkins, has alleged it's our companies fault that his volume cost increased, but that is not the case. Our company's responsibility is the list of inventory to be shipped, provided by our client's. They are told that if they add more items, it will increase their shipping costs. All clients are informed to confirm the accuracy of their items list, prior to pickup. We even contact our client's the week of their pickup, in order to go over the list again, in order to make sure it's complete prior to pack day. Mr. Perkins did add additional items during this process, but he did not add everything he intended to ship, unfortunately. Sir, you added a total of 17 additional items on pickup day. We were prepared to ship your contracted list of goods at the cost we quoted to you. We also quoted you the total cost to ship all of the items present on-site. You chose to ship everything. We executed services according to your request. We outsource our service complaints for professional investigation. The findings are reported back to us. We did nothing wrong in this service. This client merely took it upon himself to defame our company due to us charging him extra to ship extra items. We are willing to send the shipping affidavits to MMR, proving our stance that this client shipped the 17 additional items. We can also provide our company policy, (provided to all client's during scheduling) that reflects it's the client's responsibility to confirm the accuracy of their list of goods, prior to pickup. Mr. Perkins, attempted to force us to ship the additional items at no additional cost. When we refused, he decided to file reviews on multiple sites against our company. We do not reward untruths perpetrated through the filing of false allegations made against our company.

Unprofessional and unscrupulous.

Poorly wrapped, poorly marked boxes, damaged items, rude behavior, grossly understaffed, poor communication between drivers and dispatch , and a ruthless ploy to overcharge us by withholding delivery until we produced an itemized list of our payments. In a word: Appalling. DO NOT USE.

Professional Company and Great Service.

Moving is a hassle, except when you hire a professional company like these guys. I was moving back home to Texas from Oklahoma City, and I had used this company once before. I reached out for a quote and like always they responded right away with a price and availability. They always make my entire moving process so much easier.

Poor communication. Poor service. Poor Results.

Our sales contact failed to inform us that our move would be "outsourced" to a different moving company (Green Planet in this case) and when GP showed up, we had no idea. Additionally, we were told we could pay via credit card without any excess fees, but that was incorrect according to Green Planet. Northern had quoted us just over $6k total. When Green Planet showed up they told us it would be $18k. In total, we paid closer to $20k and several items were damaged/ruined in the process. They then showed up with the wrong size truck and had to unload and return for a second trip to get the rest of the items. They then had to re-load it all onto a full size semi (which we requested to begin with). Additionally, only 2 people showed up to load the truck when we specifically told them and requested 4 people to save on time. Would not recommend contracting through this company or the companies they work with.

It will be outsourced. It will go poorly.

We're in the process of filing a claim on our damaged items now. Not holding our breath..

Great Experience!

I change jobs every couple of years so I have used a number of moving companies over the years. I have to say this is one of the best experiences I've had! They were quick to answer any question I had no damages to my items.

Northern Moving Systems moving team arrived about 25 minutes late; however, they worked quickly and carefully. It’s amazing how they got some items up some narrow stairs. We would recommend them and use them again.
