I had heard from several expat friends that shipping to the UK post-Brexit had become significantly more complicated and that some people had received unexpected duty bills because their movers hadn't properly filed the Transfer of Residence application. That made me very careful about who I chose.

Nobel's UK specialist was the most knowledgeable person I spoke to during the whole quoting process. She explained the difference between UK ToR relief and the Returned Goods Relief that applied to some of my items that had originally come from the UK, explained the HMRC Customs Declaration Service filing process, and was clear that the ToR application had to be approved before the goods cleared customs — not after.

The packing was thorough and professional. My goods left Washington in a sealed Lift Van and arrived at Felixstowe about 12 days later. HMRC clearance came through without any issues or examination holds. The ToR relief was applied correctly — no import duty, no VAT on my personal effects.

Delivery to my flat in North London was arranged by Nobel's UK partners, who were equally professional. The whole process took about 5 weeks door to door. For anyone moving from the US to the UK who is worried about post-Brexit customs complexity — Nobel has this completely figured out.

I moved over 10 times in my life and my last move was with Nobel Relocation. I moved from Los Angeles to Miami and the last move was a terrible experience. I did some research and found Nobel through 1 of the most accredited moving organizations (FIDI). They were not as quick to quote as I thought they would, but they wanted to make sure all the details were correct before providing a price for the move. On the day of the packing & pick up everything went flawlessly, they even reduced the grand total since it was a bit less than the estimate. The communication was great, the service was great, the price was not the cheapest but also not the priciest option and the movers were great. I received my belongings in the same condition we shipped them in and I could not be happier. I will definitely be using Nobel for all my future moves and will gladly recommend them to anyone looking for the very best movers.

I had a very bad experience with Nobel Van Lines and would NOT recommend them. My husband and I had one room of furniture moved from Florida to the United Kingdom. Initially our experience with Miami was very positive and professional but once the shipment arrived in the UK, the whole experince changed to a nightmare quite frankly. When our shipment arrived in the UK, we were told it would take 7-10 days to get through customs. It took over 3 weeks to clear customs, and  we were then charged an additional 1379 pounds sterling ($2100) Customs Tax PLUS an additional 234 pounds sterling ($350) to have our things delivered. I had already paid $3300 upfront to have our things delivered "door to door".  We were now being told we had only paid for a "consolidated delivery on an articulated truck" which we would have to wait until they had a full load going in our area before they would deliver our things. This was the first anything was said about an articulated truck and given the fact an "articulated" truck would not be able to deliver in the conservation area in which we lived we had to pay the additions delivery fee to get delivery of our things. At the same time we were constantly being warned if we did not take delivery of our items when the moving company was ready to deliver them, we would be charged a storage fee.  This was also the first we had heard anything about a possible Customs Tax on our shipment. I had asked Nobel Van Lines specifically if there would be any additional costs when I first contracted with them and I was told there would not be. Apparently if one is moving furniture to a second home in the UK there is a Customs Tax levied. Nobel Van Lines is in the business of global moving and should have been aware of this and prepared us for this significant additional fee would have to pay. Again we were warned if we did not pay these additional fees, our things would not be released and we would be charged storage fees. Two of our tables arrived badly damaged. Our antique table had 3 of the legs broken off and was irreparable. I have attached pictures. One of our boxes was missing and never found. We were delivered someone else's boxes. Just when I thought this could not get any worse, Nobel Van Lines just informed me  that their insurance company only pays 0.40 cents per pound for lost items.

I had been dreading this move for months. Everyone I spoke to warned me that shipping to Brazil was a nightmare — the Siscomex filings, the despachante requirements, the potential for goods to sit at Santos for weeks. I got quotes from three companies and Nobel was the only one who could actually explain what bagagem desacompanhada meant and how it applied to my situation as a returning Brazilian citizen. rom the start, my coordinator Melissa walked me through exactly what documents I needed for the exemption claim — my CPF, proof of my years living in the US, the itemized inventory. She was upfront that Santos has higher physical examination rates than most ports and that we should have everything airtight from day one, which I appreciated. y goods were packed into a Lift Van at their facility — I had no idea what a Lift Van was before this process but it made complete sense once explained. Everything was sealed and numbered. The container left Miami and arrived at Santos roughly 16 days later. Clearance took about 9 business days, which Melissa told me upfront was typical. No surprises, no hidden fees, no panicked calls from a customs broker I'd never spoken to. y furniture and boxes arrived in São Paulo in perfect condition. If you are moving to Brazil and you do not have a mover who knows Siscomex and has a licensed despachante on the ground at Santos, you are taking a real risk. Nobel does. Highly recommend.

I had lived in the US for nearly eight years and was finally returning to Bengaluru permanently. I knew about the Transfer of Residence provisions under Indian customs law but I also knew that getting the documentation wrong — or missing the six-month arrival window — could mean paying full import duties on everything. That risk alone made me want a specialist mover.

Nobel's coordinator was immediately familiar with the TR process and the ICEGATE filing system. She gave me a clear checklist of what I needed — passport with visa history, proof of US residence for the past two years, the itemized inventory, employment records — and the Nobel team prepared the full submission package for their C&F agent at JNPT.

My shipment sailed from Los Angeles and arrived at Nhava Sheva in about 22 days. ICEGATE processing and customs clearance took around 10 business days. The TR exemption was applied correctly and my total duty liability was nil on the qualifying items. Delivery to Bengaluru was arranged by Nobel's local partners.

One thing I specifically appreciated — Nobel gave me a realistic picture of the timeline from the beginning. No promises of unusually fast clearance, just an honest explanation of how the process works. That honesty built a lot of trust. Everything arrived in good condition and I would use them again without hesitation.

We relocated from Brooklyn to Amsterdam for my husband's job and had about a 10-week window to get our household goods organized and shipped. We chose Nobel after speaking with three companies — they were the only ones who mentioned the EU Transfer of Residence relief under Regulation 1186/2009 by name, which told me they actually knew what they were talking about on the customs side.

Our coordinator confirmed we qualified for EU ToR relief based on our years in the US, explained what documentation we needed, and managed the EU Customs Single Window pre-arrival filing through Nobel's Dutch customs agent. The whole process was genuinely well-organized.

What I hadn't expected to appreciate as much as I did was the weekly sailing schedule. We confirmed our move date relatively late and were able to get onto a Rotterdam sailing within about 10 days of booking. The transit itself was 12 days from New Jersey. Dutch customs clearance was quick — I believe our coordinator mentioned something about Nobel's trusted trader status helping with that.

Our goods arrived in Amsterdam in excellent condition. The Lift Van system meant everything was in one sealed unit from our Brooklyn apartment to our Amsterdam flat — no opportunity for anything to shift or go missing. We are very settled now and would absolutely recommend Nobel to anyone making the transatlantic move.

We finally found a dependable LTL carrier to Puerto Rico. We manufacture components in Tampa and ship to our facility in Puerto Rico twice a month, and after working with three different freight companies, Nobel has proven to be the most reliable by far. Their consolidation process is clear and straightforward, making scheduling and planning much easier. In over a year of shipping with them, we’ve only experienced one delay—and that was due to weather. Even then, they kept us informed every step of the way. Their documentation and customs support are also solid, which is critical when shipping to Puerto Rico on a regular basis.

Making an international move is stressful. However the crew sent to pack my condo was terrific. Very careful and respectful of my belongings. The crew leader Carleto was excellent and made it clear he wanted to make me happy! They were quick, clean and got the job done efficiently. Unfortunately at the very end one of the items dropped and cracked my floor tile. What followed was amazing. Nobel took responsibility immediately and knowing I had a closing in 2 days sent experts to repair the problem the very next day. I couldn't believe how responsibly this was handled by Adam from the Home office. Every person I interacted with including Shirly who coordinated the Estimate and contract , made it clear that they wanted me to be happy and confident about their service. I highly recommend Nobel...they are exceptional and exceeded my expectations!

On the initial contact the representative Alexis asked me details of items and furniture to be moved to arrive at a price quote. Shortly after my conversation with him I received a quote by email. I had to postpone the moving date three times and it was not a problem at all. Alexis and the three movers were all very professional and courteous. When the lead man arrived he explained the deatils of the moving agreement and asked me to sign. It was exactly what we had agreed to by phone and there were no hidden costs. I prepacked everything in boxes before the movers arrived. They were very careful when handling and took care to cover furniture with movers blankets. I recommend to anyone that is using any moving company to be accurate when describing the items to be moved in order to avoid any additional charges. I don't know if I was just lucky, but this was a very nice experience. I would definitely recommend Nobel Van Lines in Miami. .

I am happy to recommend Nobel Van Lines. Let alone their service was very professional and quick, they went above and beyond when I had a problem and unexpectedly could not receive my boxes at the time I scheduled to receive them. Danny stayed on the phone with me and did all in his power to assist me solve the matter to my satisfaction. Danny did exactly what differentiates one company from another - he was compassionate and attentive to me - the client, and made a huge difference in a difficult situation for me - I knew that the boxes was one thing I don't need to worry about. I recommend Nobel Van Lines highly - they are true professionals! .

My moving experience with Nobel Van Lines was good. Danny came to do an in-home inspection and  I felt he was very knowledgeable and professional.
As the move approached, I got a call from the dispatcher to confirm that everything was still a go.
The movers arrived and got right to work. It's a little alarming having two unknown men come into your home and start going through your stuff, but I felt they were efficient and hardworking.
Ben, our rep in Miami, was in contact with us during the move and answered any questions we had. We experienced no loss or damage during the move and everything happened according to schedule. A move is always rather traumatic for a family, but having such a good experience with a moving company makes a big difference.
Thanks Nobel Van Lines team we had a very good start in our new home, and I highly recommend them to any one that is planning to move!

  Nobel Van Lines is unprofessional, incompetent and careless. I moved from a condo into a storage facility and then back into my condo, total distance about 10 miles. On the move out they dropped furniture off the truck, one guy even fell off the truck and EMS had to come and take him away! No kidding. They were very very slow. On the move back into my condo Nobel Van Lines lost all the screws to two new beds, then jerked me around for a month, telling me they will fix the beds, which they did not. My total loss about $5,000.  You would think they would want to make good on their mistakes but they have no interest in making things right. They take the money and run! I have filed a claim with them and I expect I will have to file a lawsuit to resolve this matter. I recommend you look elsewhere, do not risk your furniture with these guys!!  .

Dear Mr. Dalei, The moving crew arrived on time. Sagiv, Ray and Demetrious were all courteous and efficient. As a matter of fact, we were very surprised to discover that something that we anticipated with "dread" turned out to be quite pleasant. But, I admit that I cannot find the words to express my gratitude to you Ben, personally, for the manner in which you listened to our concerns. Your patience and kindness supported us throughout a hectic few months. While we are anticipating some "bumps" on the other end as we await our household goods, our apprehension is mitigated by the confidence that we have that you will assist us in navigating our way through bureacracy and frustration in Haifa. I found Nobel relocation with online search. I was then contacted by Ben for my move from Atlanta to Sydney. Ben was able to guide me through the process and answered all the questions I had.

Our move was tricky as the Covid situation had just begun. He ensured the movers arrived as scheduled and they were very professional. The shipment arrived on time and there were no issues with customs either.

After the shipment was sent I had to alter my plans and needed help with arranging storage for few months. The local storage company charged me a higher rate but

Ben made sure I got an excellent deal with the storage.

I highly recommend Nobel Relocation and especially Ben.
