Would give them negative stars if I could!!

This company takes shady to the next level, and then some. I did like many people would, I suppose, and I reached out for movers in my area through a Google search. I was contacted by about 15+ companies but I thought that next stop sounded reasonably good, at first, somehow not seeing all the negative reviews. My story is a painful one...our point of contact took our rough inventory and quoted us $8K for a cross country move, which was for 1300 cu/ft.

I was told upon signing the contract that I could request a QA review (this is how they determine the size of your move) any time and as many times as I would like. They NEVER responded to my repeated requests for the QA review, and I knew that they were planning on bringing a "large box truck" that could hold our 1300 cuft and "a little more". I began getting nervous the week of the move and was unable to reach anyone at the company all the way up until the day before our move. So it's Friday morning, we are supposed to be picked up the following morning, and I call the main number again...a person answers...omg! She says, "Hey is this Jon?" And I say "Yes it is"...she says, give me one minute, I will cal you right back. And she hangs up...no chance for me to respond. I wait an hour and then start calling again, I call about 15 times from both mine and my wife's phone, only to have it ring for minutes on end with no answer. It's 4pm, no QA review, a vehicle that can't handle our move...and I had spoken to another mover who said, well call us if "things get weird" (actual wording he used!!) so I did. I told the lady about what they had said and done and she told me that they were going to take us for a ride...she did our inventory and it was 4x the size they had quoted and once we were into the move with them, we would be stuck...no getting out...and they could take us for a ride on the price as well. So we had no QA, which they were contractually obligated to provide no less than 4 days prior to the move, and they had not responded to our calls, or emails...and we could not be sure they were even still in business. So we emailed once more notifying them of our cancellation of the move with them and we called the CC company(Capital One) and disputed the charge. The finally contacted us at 8pm to provide the QA review and confirm our pickup time, and then harassed us for the next several days including threats to take us to court of we attempted to dispute the charge. We paid $1800 to be left in the lurch by this company, and that was the less expensive option. Had we gone with them, I can only imagine how horrible our move would have gone. Please tell your friends and family, and neighbors, and anyone willing to listen...this place is a SCAM!!! Do not let them take your money! You will not get it back, even if they don't provide you with ANY LEVEL of service! I will be posting all of my documentation once my PII is redacted, so that it is available for all to see...this will include the original contract, the bill of lading, the two responses I received to requests for the QA review after signing the contract, as well as the text and email messages sent to us threatening legal actions against us. This is not just my word or me complaining because something could have been better, this is a real life horror story that significantly impacted my family and I, so I will be sharing the documented proof of how shady this company and the people who work there actually are, and hopefully, it will save some folks the hardship that we went through.

Our move was a big success. Everyone we had to talk to has been only very helpful and professional. We had to organize our move very quickly and we managed to despite a very tight schedule, credit to the organization team. The lads were lovely and extremely efficient. The job was hard because of steep stairs but they did everything perfectly and quickly. They arrived at destination right on time and once again worked quickly and nicely. The team was experienced and professional, I am very happy with the work they did for us, thank you.

Being a professional customer service!

Our scheduled moving company cancelled the night before they were due to start packing our house up. This company was able to confirm the same evening that they could assist us, which was such a relief. The moving team were excellent - friendly, helpful and efficient - we had a lot of heavy items to move, but nothing was too much trouble. Happy to recommend to others.

Really great moving service

This moving company was the only service I could find that didn't have reviews of shady practices. We had four guys move us recently from our apartment into our house. And they were amazing! They were extremely nice and efficient and got the job done in less than 4 hours.

If you have to move, look nowhere else

They showed up to my place early and ready to get started. They wrapped all my furniture with care. I have large furniture so I had to apologize for my oversize couch. None of my furniture was damaged with all the stairs. I will definitely use these guys again the next time I move, hopefully no time soon.

Highly recommended!

The Next Stop moving company and all their employee are very humble and patient. All of my furniture was disassembled, moved and then reassembled by the workers sent by this company. They were punctual and also finished all the moving within the deadline. Everything was arrived at my destination with no breakage.

Loved working with them!

They were very efficient during the move and were able to even help me with reassembly of a closet. When I asked the movers if they could do my next move, they were very humble and assured me everyone at the company is as great as them.

They were fast and efficient with our belongings

Nothing slowed them down, and they were thoughtful with handing over personal items for us to transport ourselves. We just finished our unpacking and there was not a single thing broken or damaged. And they did this all with about 7 days’ notice.
