Would give a minus 0 rating if possible. Gave estimate that was increased to over 10,000.00 after the movers arrived. For less than 1000 cu ft. Hired movers that were a joke. Violated contract by not arriving in pick up window, much less the agreed upon day. Forced to sign illegible and doctored bill of Lading or would not receive belongings. Finally received items day 29 (which violates original delivery window) that were damaged, broken and coated in what appears to be concrete mix?? Contacted New Leaf several times along the way with dismissal of any wrong doing on the mover's part or their part. Refused further contact and working with attorney. Filed complaints with all agencies. Kept records and photos of all. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

REALLY wish I'd checked reviews before hiring!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!

1. NO communication once they got the money. Called to try and find out when things would be delivered and was told 'we don't know'. That's it. No offer to reach out or anything.

2. Estimate vs. actual...not even close!! They low ball the estimate to get you to go with them then WHAMMO you with a large additional cost when they are there and you basically have no other choice.

FINALLY got someone to actually look into where the truck was after threatening to call the police and report my items as stolen. Seriously...that's what it took to get basic communication.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. JUST INTERESTED IN GETTING YOUR MONEY. DO NOT USE!!!

I recently moved from Kentucky to South Carolina with a company selected by New Leaf. The preparation for the move was well handled with frequent communication and instructions. things have changed quite a bit in the industry since we last moved so it was a learning process for me. Almost all the "movers" are actually brokers who select movers in their portfolio. Not an issue unless as a broker they do not stand behind the move. Not surprisingly, there were issues that occurred during the move itself, but that is not the subject of this review. Suffice it to say when my claim for damage was denied by the company who actually did the move, New Leaf was responsive and paid my claim promptly. I was very pleased that they stood by their work . They were also responsive throughout the process with other issues that arose which is all one can ask for since i doubt that there is any move without some problem occurring

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $28000

We had move booked for 5500 and sent them a prelim inventory. 3 weeks prior to the move we send them an updated inventory where amount to be shipped increased. They confirmed and all booked.

The day of the move 2 guys show up in a straight truck for moving way more than would fit in the truck, including a gun safe that there is no way 2 guys could handle. I ask them what they plan on doing to handle the safe and the amount of goods to be shipped with that truck and 2 guys. They seem surprised and show me the list they were expecting which was the original one. I tell them they don't have the current inventory and that they need to speak with New Leaf. They do and come back with a quote of 16500. I call New Leaf, they apologize that the driver didn't have accurate information, but say that my move will now be 16500 because the amount shipped almost doubled. I ask how, if it almost doubled, would my rate now be triple? They have no explanation and Gina asks do I want the move or not for that rate and if not then I can cancel but lose my 2K deposit. With them showing up without right equipment or crew, and what a complete cluster this had become, there was NO WAY I was going to let the move proceed so I cut my losses.

That is where this all became VERY clear. They sign you up, have you place a deposit and then when move happens, do a bait-and-switch, increase the rate significantly and if you balk, they keep your deposit. Either way they win and you are screwed. Either they increase your rate, or keep your deposit for doing nothing. This is a complete SCAM!

Horrible service. The movers who came to pick up my furniture, insisted on taking apart my living room sofas apart that are motorized recliners, and are not supposed to come apart!! I told them repeatedly, and they ignored me. After them destroying my expensive living room set, they demanded a tip! I call the dispatch the next day, the apologize, I spoke with Allie, who is amazing at customer service and is the only light about this story. The movers arrive to my house 2.5 weeks later! They didn’t have any of the parts from my sofa set, so it’s ruined now, they lost my sons mattress, and the table top for my table. I call to speak to Allie and she was busy so I spoke to another person who matched the company, which was rude, and said we sent you an email for a claim and that’s all she can do. I’m sure I won’t get hardly any of the money that my furniture was worth and it will take months to get my money. Do Not Use These Movers!! The drivers, customer service reps, are all rude

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $55088

This company started out great. Received my initial estimate about 6 months before the move for $6700. One week before the move date, I was contacted by their ‘quality assurance department’ and we reviewed the packing list. At this time I found out that my estimate was written completely wrong, left many of my items off, did not value their size correctly (a full size refrigerator was listed as a dormitory refrigerator), and even the packing materials list was lacking. I had made the decision to have the company pack for me based on the original quote and my second estimate from their quality department was nearly double the original estimate. By this time it was too late for me to really change anything and it was demanded that I make an additional $1k deposit that day on top of the nearly $2500 deposit I had already made or they would cancel my move and I would lose the initial deposit. Feeling I had no other choice, I made the additional deposit. Then 1 week later, the actual moving company (Blue Lion) showed up and that’s when it got even worse. The foreman walked around my 1 bd 1ba apartment and determined that the estimates I had been given were STILL too low and increased the price again. I will review that company and their handling of my items separately, but at the end of the day after the truck had been loaded, the foreman wrote what is supposed to be the final moving cost with full inventory which totaled $19.5k. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how the move could have possibly changed from $6700 to $19.5k and it still doesn’t make sense. My friends that are moving the same distance with 5+ bedroom homes are paying less than I am for my 1 bedroom apartment and the company just keeps telling me that I’d be paying so much more with anyone else. I’m now scared that my items won’t even be delivered when they’re supposed to and that if they are SOMEHOW they’ll increase the price again. I was bait and switched with the the initial estimate and the sales man who wrote it clearly did not write the initial on purpose in order to lure me in and even their quality assurance guy lied to me. I feel cheated, robbed, and now am lying awake at 3 in the morning feeling sick over how they’ve cheated me. I feel like I was given no choice in any of this and that no matter what they were out to steal my money. I’ll be updating this review if/when I receive my delivery.

Not only did they quote me at 9K and then ask for 21K and then finally did it for 18K after I gifted/left alot of furniture. The moving company that they contracted out One Stop Moving Company just committed check fraud by cashing the SAME check twice!!!! for over 6000 dollars once in September and once in January. and when I called NO answer, no answer to my emails either.

I moved from CA to NM. The locals in New Mexico were great! One Stop Moving from Sacramento CA are the one's who committed check Fraud. AND they lost 2 of my boxes for the kitchen - bent my exercise bike and the wheels on my road bike were punctured and bent as well.

My light box that was disassembled was never put back together and my bed frame was assembled incorrectly and 2 boxes of glassware arrived crushed. It was a horrible experience and they really took advantage, committed fraud and were awful, unfair and have really shady business practices.

If anyone is suing them I would TOTALLY join the suit.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $18000

I decided to use the New Leaf Moving Group service for the transportation of my things from one city to another. While they agreed with me, they contacted me even after their business hours and on the weekend. They were very interested in me as a new client. All this was until I made a deposit of $1,000. When a few days later I wanted to make some changes in the service, because the number of my things changed and I wanted to change a truck size. They treated kind of rude and said that the truck was already scheduled (the service was planned in a month!) and there would be no price changes. I also want to note that I called 4 days after making the deposit. According to their policy, changes can be made after 3 days, but Monday was a holiday and I meant that this day wouldn't count as all businesses were closed. They didn't make any concessions for me and said either I go full price (full service cost $2700+) or I lose my deposit. They no longer showed interest in me as a client. In the end I was unable to lower the price and lost my $1,000 deposit. Stay away from these people!
