My husband and I spoke with the company on five different occasions as we make our moving plans to move a nine hour distance. The company representatives took information about number of rooms, size of rooms, number of cabinets, size of closets, specific pieces of furniture, and the like. In addition, the company assured us they had adequate staffing to come and pack all of our belongings into boxes, load everything into the truck and move out within a two day period. We paid an additional $2500 for them to PACK OUR BELONGINGS INTO BOXES FOR US!!!!! The day before our anticipated move, the company called and informed us our entire move would happen in one day. We repeatedly reminded them that they were to both pack and move us and they agreed this was the case and they would have enough staff. On moving day, the actual movers called to report they would arrive at 11 AM and there were only two of them. They were unaware they were supposed to be packing us and had minimal boxes in the truck. What was supposed to be a more leisurely, yet expensive, experience for us ended up being an extended family, all hands on deck to prepare to vacate our large home in ONE DAY prior to closing two days later. We went to buy our own boxes even though we had already paid them for their boxes. The next 15 hours were spent packing our entire house as they loaded boxes into ONE smaller than needed truck. When moving into this home, two trucks that size were required and the company had this in writing. Nonetheless, they arrived with ONE, promising all would fit. At 8:30 PM, they told us not everything would fit. More family and friends were called and all items that could not fit went into a family member's garage with US DOING ALL OF THE HEAVY LIFTING AND MOVING of this "excess" for which they should have had a plan. The movers finished in the wee hours and tried to get us to agree to several days in delay to move into our new residence. After too much negotiation, they finally agreed to show us as planned to move us in. Because of the excess and great distance, and no promises to reimburse us for boxes, time, stress, etc., we had to rent our own UHAUL to transport the excess and move it ourselves after closing. My husband had to spend money for a flight back to our city in order to assist with all of this. The company demonstrated POOR COMMUNICATION, complete lack of accepting responsibility, did not wish to reimburse us for damaged items --two family heirlooms, and were quite rude when called about our complaints. We will never use this company and will recommend others ANYWHERE ELSE!! They finally offered to reimburse us less than $100 for our trouble. This was our fifth big move and we have never had such a terrible experience. This company also charged more than double the others used in the past. WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

This company is horriable. I googled moving companies and their company came up as a five-star moving company, they contacted me and I gave them my information on moving from FL to MI. gave a list of items and a tentative moving date. I paid the deposit of $7,584.20 with my credit card thinking that they would charge me the month of the move not 2 months before. Now I have to pay interest on this charge.

I called to cancel the move due to my partner getting a leg infection (cellulitis) and spend 6 days in the hospital. When I explained my situation and asked for a credit of the deposit, I paid back to my card they were rude and unsympathetic about my situation. They stated that I was past the 72-hour cancelation period, and I have to pay the deposit without refund. They penalize me for using them and a tentative move date, this is scam and fraudulent.

They did nothing as far as moving me, they took my information and ran with it. No move, no packing, nothing, they did absolutely nothing for me. they have shady, unfair and deceptive practices.

I have stress and sleepless nights because of this and of the health issue of my partner.

They have over 300 horriable reviews with the BBB and other sites as well. I'm retired and on a fixed income, this money was hard earned and they could care less.

Someone needs to do an investigation on their deceitful scam company.

If they were legit and professional their reviews would be outstanding.

I give them a ZERO RATING. ALL I WANT IS A CREDIT BACK FOR THE MONEY PAID TO MY CREDIT CARD.

I recently moved from Ohio to Massachusetts. My experience with National moving company was a poor for the Ohio portion.

Unprofessional Movers

The movers for the pick-up in Ohio were unprofessional. It was 2 men. The overweight white man from Kentucky/Hamilton, OH seemed mentally challenged. Within minutes of arriving he asked to use my bathroom and was in there for a very long time. Doing a #2, I guess. Then he was farting all through the move in front of me and my family. After that, he began talking about Nazi’s and Hitler poisoning Jews during WWII with candy bars. (Yes, he actually said that! I was shocked.) He was talking so much that the move-time was greatly extended. For a 2 bedroom apartment, it took them 4 hours. Although my family packed up most of the boxes beforehand. Also, there was not enough room on the truck for all of my belongings. My bookstands, exercise bike, and other belongings were left behind and had to be thrown out. They said the dispatch did not tell them the accurate information about how much room I needed. The mentally challenged mover actually begin talking to my neighbors to give away my furniture instead of trying to fit it on the truck. It was just HORRIBLE!!!

Hidden Costs

The quote I was given was false. The movers actually added over an extra $900 in costs, including an extra $75.00 because they had to walk up a few stairs. The main issue was when I received the initial quote, I called back to the main number to let them know items were missing from the itinerary. Customer Service told me to tell my movers when they get there. This should have never happened, customer service should have updated them and let the movers know BEFORE they arrived at my place. Overall, it was a stressful and poor experience. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. Find another that is more professional.

The staff was adaptable to my requirements and highly professional. They also offered complete packing services and showed up early on Sunday morning with a staff to do so. I was astounded at how well they handled my items with such care. My belongings were packaged and put away in boxes awaiting the arrival of the next crew. My furniture was completely covered with blankets and plastic. The walls, flooring, and surroundings were all quite well-shielded. The following day, the following group showed up promptly and early! They quickly carried everything to the truck, and we soon left. They set up all of my beds, furniture, and other items when they arrived at my new house, and unloaded my clothes, and other items. I was able to comfortably settle into my new place easily.

This personal move went extremely well. They arrived exactly at the time they had said they'd be there and they immediately got to work. The movers were all quick and professional and everything arrived in tact with no issues, scratches, broken furniture, etc. The total move took less than the time estimated and therefore was cheaper than estimated as well. Our movers were Carlos, Brian and Mike and Carlos as the leader did an excellent job. We'd definitely recommend using them to anyone and would use them again in the future.
