I was moving away from my parents' house in Florida to New York, and obviously I was very nervous about the whole thing. Not only was it my first time doing things like these on my own, but also traveling a long distance in general. Fortunately, I came across this company and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I was honestly expecting for my stuff to either get lost or break on the way, but none of those worse case scenarios came true. Thank you so much to nationwide moving services for making this whole adulting thing less difficult.

Long distance move was a breeze with this company. It was on short notice and the service they provided was astonishing. The staff handled and packaged my products with care. I definitely recommend them if you want a fast, affordable, and easy move long distance. Their contact support was fast communicators and responsive. I was nervous about moving from state to state, but they made the whole process easy and unstressful. I relied on this long distance company and I cant wait to work with them again.

Deciding to move across the country was one of the most stressful and, honestly, terrifying decisions I’ve ever made. I had to find a long distance mover in a relatively short amount of time and that’s when I came across Nationwide Moving Services. Not only did it cost far less than I was expecting (I paid a little over $2,300), but they even offer discounts on their website that lower the price even more. But enough about the price. These guys are professionals in their industry and they treated all of my belongings as if they were their own. All of my furniture arrived unscathed, and promptly as well! I can’t recommend this company enough if you are looking to hire long distance movers.

Nationwide Moving Services (NMS) falsely advertise themselves as a full service, out of state moving specialist when they are MERELY A BROKERAGE COMPANY. They manipulate, lie and trick customers into signing up with them. When I decided to move from Irvine, CA to Montana, I obtained 3 quotes to get a ballpark figure of moving costs. The first quote was from Kyle at Nationwide (I called them thinking they were a full-service moving company), a second company and finally I called United Van Lines (UVL) for my third quote. UVL/Mayflower (a subsidiary of UVL) was the company that I wanted to move with, having used them in the past and being satisfied with their services.

However, when I called the number for UVL, Leo H from NMS somehow intercepted my call. He did not identify the company he was with, just stating “Moving Company, how may I help you?” During the entire conversation, Leo had numerous opportunities to let me know I was talking to NMS and not UVL. I asked if UVL gives discounts to seniors and/or to loyal customers, since I had moved with them 3 times in the past. Instead of letting me know I was not talking to UVL, he continued the deception, and went to the extent of researching my move with UVL while talking to me. He obtained the exact address UVL moved me from Colorado to Vista, CA in 2018, my last move with UVL and asked me if I was moving out of my Vista address to Montana. Given that he had my info from my 2018 move, I had no reason to doubt that I was, talking to UVL. He rushed me through checking the listed inventory, the estimated cost of the move and the signing of the contract online, collecting my deposit of $1504.67. Assuming I was dealing with UVL, I felt comfortable signing the contract and paying the deposit since I was familiar with their contract. To my horror, 4 days later when I printed out the contract, I realized the contract was from NMS not UVL. I called Customer service to complain and Christina from customer service hung up on me. Subsequently, I called Leo, who of course denied being deceptive and told me I could cancel the contract but would not get the deposit back. At that point I had no choice but to go along with NMS.

On actual day of move, MoveR van lines (MVR) comes to load my stuff. They claimed NMS had underestimated the volume (396cf) which they said happened frequently, and they were going to charge me for an additional (154cf) for exact same items on NMS inventory list. I called NMS for resolution according to their instructions given to me and the manager Annie had the audacity to tell me there was nothing she could do about it and told me I could cancel the contract. NMS deliberately underestimated the volume to secure my business, knowing full well that the movers were going to charge more on actual day of move.

3 days later, I contacted NMS asking to speak with the manager. The clerk stated she had gone home for the day and asked if he could help. He looked up my information and stated I had 2 moves listed in their computer. When I questioned him as to why that would be, he stated “You must have called several companies to get quotes. We have different ways to get your calls”. That explains Leo fraudulently intercepting my call to UVL. This company has had 59 complaints in past 3 years (all the complaints are similar to mine) and yet no action has been taken against them, so they continue to deceive customers. There should be a class action lawsuit against them to shut them down for good.

This company is the perfect company for you! If you need any help moving this is the company! After

looking for a very long time I have finally found a moving company that is long-distance and affordable!

I have looked all over to find a moving company that can help me and my family. This company is also

very considerate! A lot of moving companies are very inconsiderate with your belongings but this

company pays very close attention and will make sure that none of your items are broken! This is why I

chose Nationwide moving! If you don't want to risk your belongings with strangers chose Nationwide

moving because they will treat your items as if they were there own! This companies services also go for

the low price of only $ 2,000, a lot of other companies will over charge or try to bargain but not

Nationwide moving and that's why I will only trust this company to help me with moving.

Nothing inspires headaches like trying to commission long distance movers. The hassle, the expense... it is not common that a moving company makes you feel valued. As such, when I requested a quote, and received a phone call shortly thereafter that specifically aimed to cater to my needs, I was staggered. The customer service agent was knowledgeable, respectful, and eager to assist me with my move. Those questions he couldn't answer went up the chain, ensuring that I have control over my move. I have found the company I want to handle my moving needs going forward.
