First of all I just want to say the sales guys were really nice. But the rest was all dishonest. They told use that this would be done by a certain time and was promised to us but then lied to. They took up to the maximum days to deliver the furniture. They kept it in storage for two weeks before they even went on the road with it. They didn’t tell us that they were going to not move it themselves. They are actually brokers and hired another company to deliver the stuff which took almost a month to deliver. I would not let them talk you into using their services ever again. If you do use their services then expect almost a month of waiting for your stuff. Don’t let them lie to you and tell you it will be sooner because it won’t . I am very disappointed and my daughter was without furniture for 3 weeks . Do not use this company . Make sure you read the contract fully before you sign and pay. Beware of the small writing

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1700

They helped me move my hard wood furniture from a container to my driveway, and from the driveway to the house which included up stairs to a second floor. I had estimated up to 1 hour for the move from the container to the driveway, and they got it done within 20 mins. I had estimated up to 2 hours for the move from the driveway to the house, and it was all done within an hour. The move was done quickly, with no complaints, especially with the stairs and heavy weight of the bedroom suites.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!!!! THEY WILL PROMISE WHATEVER YOU WANT FOR YOUR BUSINESS BUT ARE NOT A MOVING COMPANY THEY ARE A BROKER!!!!

I requested a move from them and gave them a deposit on April 29th. I had a change of plans and needed to cancel and request a refund which in the agreement stated I had 10 business days excluding weekends to do so (which would be May 12th). Here is how that was treated.

I called on May 1st and spoke to an admin person who would pass my request along. No one reached out.

On May 3rd, I emailed the person I initially set a deposit down with a statement that I am requesting to cancel my move and want a refund. I then got a missed call with no message and no answer when I called 7 minutes later. I left a message on that phone call as well.

On May 8th I called the person I initially set my move up with and they told me finance would call me May 10th. No call.

On May 11th, I called them again and was sent to another person who told me the specific email I needed to request a cancellation from which I immediately sent with my reference number for the move.

They replied my refund was denied as it wasn't within 10 business days excluding weekends which they had as May 7th. I sent them the email I had sent on May 3rd as well as the invoice agreed on April 29th showing 10 business days is actually May12. They have not responded.

I will be reaching out for legal recourse as well as my local consumer protection division and the BBB.

NEM is a dishonest company served by third party movers who are scammers. In April I contracted with NEM to move my belongs from Virginia to Florida. NEM's Clark Donahue quoted me a price of $5,100 after I provided him a list of the things to be moved. He prepared the estimate and I signed the contract and wired NEM a deposit of $2,100. As the move date approached I tried to contact NEM by phone and email. Got no response until three days before the move date. Clark Donahue was no longer with NEM (probably in jail) and spoke with Adam Barnes. Adam went over my NEM prepared inventory and I added some items... two end tables, grandfather clock, and two dining room chairs. Adam said my "square footage had changed' and they needed an additional $1,100for a total of$6,200. Reluctantly, I agreed. NEM is NOT a moving company!! They are a moving "broker" which means they do not move anything, they subcontract to a third party moving company. In my case it was a company named "Out of State Movers" from New Jersey. They are scammers as well. When they arrived they looked around the house and said NEM has underestimated the "square footage" and they wanted $13,600 to move my things! I called NEM and they said there was nothing they could do since they were not affiliated with Out of State Movers, nor could I get my deposit back because I had "cancelled" the move. Stay away from NEM and ALL moving brokers. Your first question in looking for a "moving company" should be "Are you a broker or an actual moving company with trucks and employees?" If they are a broker...run away as fast as you can... do not listen to their sweet talk about being 5 star rated, B+ rating by the BBB or anything else they have to say... if you contract with them you will be sorry and out a lot of money. Don't believe any of the recommendations on their reviews... I suspect they are rigged as well. You can believe me...I'm giving you solid advice.

I booked with national express from my move to Florida. It seemed legit in the beginning but when they sent a second party moving company over they demanded 600 more than what I was told from the beginning saying I went over in square footage, then I was told I would receive my things on a Saturday. I’ve been at my new place it’s been over 3 weeks and still haven’t gotten my my things. No one wants to answer there phone or return messages. I wish I would of read reviews before booking with a broker they don’t tell you that when you call them by the way. I will make sure I count the items I have itemized on my list before that truck takes off. Hopefully my things aren’t broke or missing, i just want my stuff and move on from this as a lesson learned I would never use them again nor would I recommend them. LIERS LIERS LIERS... SCAMMERS!

I had to schedule an emergency move for my elderly mother's belongings when she was being discharged from one assisted living facility to another. I spoke with Gene and gave a detailed account of how many pieces of furniture needed to be moved and their specifications. One of the items was a medical bed, which I clearly stated weighed around 400 pounds. He assured me that was no problem and he could schedule a move within 24 hours. He quoted me a price of $1744 And required immediate payment of $714 to schedule, while the remaining balance would be divided in two; half due on pick up and the other half on delivery. He said someone would be calling me by end of business that day or the next morning. When I still hadn't received a call by late morning the next day I called him but went straight to voicemail. I contacted the company via email and was told they had a 2 day window for last minute moves. I heard nothing the following day, until around 8PM when a gentleman called to tell me he was coming from North Carolina (the move was from Michigan to Indiana) and would be at the pick up point between 10 and 11. When he arrived there was no one to help him. The job wasn't possible for one person. My 66 year old husband and 61 year old brother had to help him. Then he added $250 to the job because it was "a long walk" between her room and the moving truck and the "heavy bed". He asked for the first payment but wouldn't accept a credit card, only cash, check or pay with Zelle. I didn't have any of those options but he still agreed to deliver the furniture. When he delivered it he wanted "cash only" ($1280) before he would unload the truck. My family scrambled to get to the bank to get cash and STILL had to help him move the furniture in. After repeated messages left for Gene, no one from Customer Service every contacted me. I feel they took full advantage of the desperateness of our situation. I WOULD NOT recommend them.

I'm writing this as a warning to you to not use this broker. Probably don't use any moving broker.

Their sales team is polite and persistent which stands in stark contrast with how you will be treated after they collect your deposit.

They will contract out a bottom of the barrel local mover (https://www.yelp.com/biz/brooklyn-moving-fairfield) who never arrived, never followed up, and never responded. I had to rent out a uhaul and move myself as I was losing the lease before the next rescheduled time.

I no longer needed their services so I asked for a refund of deposit which they did not agree to. They are completely unsympathetic and unapologetic to your situation and will not hold themselves accountable to missed dates. The deposit had cost me ~$1800 for no services rendered.

National Express Moving will hide behind their ridiculously anti-consumer terms and conditions to take your deposit without being held accountable to render or honor any services in any reasonable time frame.

Some gems of their terms and conditions include

8. No refund is honored due to a no show or no moving services rendered

14. All pickup dates set are estimates and have no guarantee allowing them full reign to string you along indefinitely.

18. You will not be able to litigate against the company

19. You will not be able to request a credit chargeback unless National Express broke their terms (they didn't since they don't have to honor the move)

21. You cannot write a bad review of National Express or else you will not see your deposit.

They're able to do this because the service they're providing is scheduling your move with the lowest rate mover who will most likely destroy your goods or never show up. They do not hold themselves accountable to contracting out moves to reputable movers.

Do not use National Express Moving. Do not use any moving broker.

Great response from the sales team when booking. Movers arrived and immediately said the quote was wrong and then wanted to double the price. After several calls with very slow response from National Express and the third party mover we agreed to the 5K increase because we were on a deadline to move. Once new price was agreed to they started pressuring us for cash only. We told them we would go purchase a money order and they kept pressuring us for cash. Third party mover Pelican Moving out of Gretna La was very dishonest and ill prepared. National does not back you up when the third party vendors pressure you for more money. Paid for full Pack/Load and Move again they were not prepared and said they could not move dishes or anything breakable. They had no packing materials on board so again ill prepared.

I contacted National Express Moving Company (NEM) to help with my move from Philadelphia to Minneapolis & paid $933 in deposit towards the transportation of my cars and apartment. The move was scheduled for pick up between 7/18 - 7/19/2021. NEM was made aware at the time of payment that I could not accommodate any delays beyond 7/19, as I had to leave my apartment & had travel plans. After I paid the deposit, I never received any concrete plans from NEM regarding my move. I called several times between 7/16 - 7/19 to confirm pick up plans & was eventually told the carrier's truck broke down along the way late on 7/19 by SK (NEM's customer relations manager). She asked for some flexibility & guaranteed me pick-up between 9am-1 pm on 7/20. NEM never sent a carrier to my apartment for my move in that time frame (7/18-7/20). They even lied about sending someone late on 7/20, which was a lie as no movers were seen or captured on camera at my apartment. I have incurred additional costs due to changes in travel plans & alternate relocations plans. I would never recommend this company's services. The staff is rude, unprofessional and just do not care. All they seem to care about is getting the deposit and disappearing into thin air.

They never show up. My moving was scheduled on 19th June. They never showed up. Upon constant emailing one company showed up (you can not find the company online). They said the charge will go up atleast 700-1000$ based on how much space it takes on the truck. I did not use their service as I could not rely on them. They might increase the price even more after taking your stuff in the truck. I made a complete inventory list with their manager 2 days before moving. They increased the price even that time and I was fine with it. Next day when I asked for my deposit back

They were extremely rude. They took

My money when they didn’t even provide the service. I strongly recommend not to use their service in any means. I am taking legal action against them to get my money back.

National Express Moving ("NEM") made the process of moving far more stressful than it needed to be. They missed their 2-day pickup window and never called to update or reschedule. After calling repeatedly over a 5 day period to get information on my move and failing to hear back, I lost trust in their ability to perform and was forced to hire an alternative provider (who agreed to perform the same move at 20% less than their net price offering). Upon cancellation of my move because of their failure to perform, I was refused my deposit back. Buyer beware.

Do not use this company! They were supposed to move us on either June 13 or 14 because we had to be out of our house on the 15th. They were supposed to call the day before to let us know what time they would come to move our things and transport our car. They never called. My husband called them and was told the truck broke down and they were looking for another. Never called us though we called them several times being told they are still looking. Found out they are a broker and could not find anyone to take our move or our car. We had to line up a moving truck and people to help load us and someone to transport our car at the last minute. They only want to refund us half of our deposits because "they put in work". Businesses get paid for providing a service, not a quote! Do not use this company!!! We were scammed!

We’re from Ohio and moved across country to Florida. Originally we were told they’d be at our house June 27th and they’ve lied to us all week. We moved down expecting our stuff to be here on the 29th. We’re in limbo because none of our stuff is here and we just assumed they were trustworthy but they’re not. Multiple times they told us they’d be at the house. Customer service is awful, they’ll lie to you just like their salesmen. At least be honest right? We thought. Terrible company I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. I’ll leave another review once we get our stuff (if we do). Please save your time and hire more expensive movers so you don’t have to deal with this.

Wow, what a terrible company. Took my money as a way of locking in the quote ( $1300) and then another $1300 as an initial deposit. They required another $300 to refine the quote and bring it up to date.

Now I was instructed to wait until I had a call from the movers for a pickup date. This just didn't happen. I had several emails stating there were 'delays' due to their inability to provide a removals company to execute the contract. I waited for FIVE days for national Express Moving to get their act together and then I had to move MYSELF 1000 miles. Never had an explanation or apology from the company. When I tried to get my money back I was told that they would only refund half of what I paid for the second part of my quote. I paid a total of $1600 and received about $650 as a refund.

All this for NO service apart from a quote. Very poor practice and extremely bad customer care. Will never recommend and still looking to YELP them , hopefully right out of business.
